((OC: I apologize for my epic late response. Don't know what to put but here goes smile )
Krillo follow suit after Tanya. His spear ready but pointed down and his Treant arm clenched ready to do what was asked of it. Even with his eyes Krillo strained to make out shapes in the cave, looking for the target...worry for the others and what they are doing to ensure success made Krillo's search more frantic.

Inside the cave, they found... nothing.
"Where the hell is it?" Tanya whispered harshly, looking behind rocks. Catherine and even Damion helped somewhat. But the smaller creature was nowhere to be found.
Then suddenly Tanya gasped stared at the rest of them, wide eyed. "There's only one," she said, almost in disbelief. "It all makes sense though." Her hand rose unconsciously to her forehead. "That whole time, we could only account for one at a time." She stood there a moment more, not even sure of her own conclusion.
"Th-then we have to get back to them," Catherine broke the silence, and urgently headed for the entrance.

Back in the middle of battle, Whisper was busy attracting the attention of the huge pink fluff-ball, in hopes that it might chase her attentively enough to leave an opening for the other three to capture it in the net.
When they were finally ready with the ambush, she ran in their direction, passing through their trap only moments before the creature. "NOW!" she shouted gruffly, as though they needed the cue.

With Tanya's realizatoin, Krillo wasted no time turning around. With Nature's Swiftness, Krillo was well on his way back to the team with the speed comparable to a cheetah. "Must...go ....Faster..."

Seeing Whisper enter the clearing, Sekenre steadied himself, separated his legs shoulder width with on in front of the other. The hand hold the shadow bolt was stretched back, ready to fly, in order to achieve the most possible momentum. "Wait for the other two to attack first. ...Wait for it..." he thought to himself

Tanya, Catherine and Damion hurried back after Krillo. None of them could match his speed, but Tanya still managed to keep up better than the other two.

Ganren signaled to Castle and as the beast crashed into the clearing both men speared the beast under each arm and flipped it over there heads in front the sorcerer and druid. As the beast flopped on to the ground Ganren yelled "Now!".

"Clear!" Sekenre let fly the bolt of Dark Energy that had been collecting in his hand. As it left it grew in size and was about 5' in diameter. The bolt hit square in the head. The smell of charred flesh filled the clearing, but the creature was far from dead.

As Krillo sped along, he flet a displacement in the air followed by a sizzle. "They've engaged it already." Krillo leapt through the clearing used his momentum to land on the creature with a loud *thud* and a crack of bones. With one fluid motion Krillo dug his treant arm into the beast where Sekenre had attacked, jumped off, landed next to Sekenre, dug his treant arm into the ground and began chanting.

Whisper was startled when Krillo appeared. She looked back in the direction he had yelled and saw the others approaching. Quickly she dashed to Tanya's side and after a few quick exchanges, she understood the situation and dashed back.
Just as she had surmised, the fallen creature had horrible balance, and was having difficulty standing up, especially with it's considerable wound, but it wasn't long before what she was beginning to fear happened. The creature shrank, incredibly quickly. In seconds it was a mere foot in diameter.
As it shrank it came away from the spears without additional injury. Neither Whisper nor Tanya could figure out how, even with their knowledge. Probably Morphea was playing with the laws of physics again. It would be far too difficult as long as she had that kind of control over things.

Ganren yelled out as he readied his spear "Hurry surround it, keep it at spear's length."
Castle, already in position readied his spear.

The pink puff-ball creature looked a little worried for a moment, so it paused. The thing didn't even appear to have a mouth, or it was covered up by the fur. Suddenly it lurched forward, toward Castle... and grew. As the creature grew, it's mouth--which turned out to be little more than a horizontal slit in it's head--opened. It was filled with rows of teeth, like a shark.
Castle couldn't move. He'd never seen anything like this before, so it was much more out of confusion than fear. But that was all it took.
But Castle was done for. The thing swallowed him whole, raking him against those rows of teeth in the process.

The creature's mass displacement trick had shocked Krillo so much that he stopped chanting. Seeing Castle devoured that shock turned to anger fast! With renewed concentration Krillo finished the spell. His treant arm became living roots tearing through the farce soil. Finally the roots break surface and wrap themselves around the creatures legs and climb up to its waist. "I don't know how long i can hold. Whatever you're going to do, DO NOW!" Krillo growled.

The creature let out an angry gargling cry and struggled at the bonds. It started to shrink, but Krillo's roots shrank along with it. It tried to grow, but the roots didn't budge. It cried out in pain and thrashed about. But it certainly wasn't easy for Krillo to hold on.
Whisper realized this and jumped at it with her spear, stabbing it near the eye. It was a miss, but still effected the creature in a big way. Crying out louder and thrashing about more, it managed to throw her off and loosen it's bonds a little.
Tanya called out orders to Catherine and Damion, grabbing the net that was still lying nearby. Each of them took a corner and pulled it over the creature. Catherine moved quickly, growing more and more worried that one of her own might be the next victim. She felt awful for the feeling, but she wasn't terribly upset at Castle's death. She hadn't known him for long. Damion was moving slowly in an automatic, almost robotic way. Somehow the group managed to fit the net snugly around the creature.

Ganren walked up to the creature with spear in hand. "If Castle is still alive in there how are we going to kill this creature with out killing him?" Ganren started aiming his spear point at the eye of the creature.

"Let's cut him open!" Whisper shouted, more in bloodlust than concern for Castle, but the latter was there to some extent.
Tanya interrupted. "Be careful," she cautioned. "You don't know that thing's anatomy. Castle could be anywhere inside. But still it's worth a try." She turned to Krillo. "Think you can hold it much longer? We can't have you letting go the moment we stab the thing."
The creature was still thrashing about, but the roots were holding relatively well.

The druid was sweating. He couldn't break consentration long enough to reply, but shot a worried look at Sekenre
"The roots will hold," Sekenre replied more to Krillo than to Tanya. Sekenre walked behind Krillo. A dark whispy arua surrounded him. He placed his hands on Krillo's shoulders. "Let me in," he whispered "The roots will hold." After that the aura shot down the treant arm and up the roots. Sekenre flinched slightly. "I've bought us some time but in this 'world' we don't yet have full control of all our powers...do it NOW." The last word sounded like Tombstones crashing and was felt in the mind more than heard.

Tanya gave a short nod to the two and then one to Ganren. He was easily the strongest of the group, and would be most likely to be able to kill it. But Whisper wasn't going to let him do it on his own. She pounced on the creature with another spear, she had taken one from someone else. Once again, she went for the eyes, aiming more for the center, so she might strike the brain as well.
