"Hey, it's not all that bad," Nicholas said at Aurora's side, trying to offer some sort of encouragement through his tone. Thankfully, he didn't need to force it. He was already feeling pretty relaxed here himself, which seemed to increase tenfold as a cool breeze tousled his dark lockes of hair. Honestly, how could anyone dislike it here? Especially after their ordeal. In his opinion, this should have been considered a paradise. "Maybe you could just.. try to enjoy yourself while you're here, huh? Maybe we could all go for a swim in the ocean later. There's no way that could keep your spirits down."
Nic then turned his eyes back to check on Indi, spotting that grown whisp of smoke. He arched a brow curiously, but then suddenly looked rather.. startled with what he saw. "Indi! Geez," he said, trying to break the boy from his trance. "Keep you fantasies in that little head of yours."

"Fantasies are things that we often wish to share but many ignore that desire to hold themselves in contempt." Indi replied to Nic as he waved away the wisp of smoke and turned his gaze from the castle. He needed to keep his mind on Aurora and finding a way to break the curse.

Actually, Aurora could think of quite a few reasons for why it was that bad -- everything from getting sand in his toes to jelly fish to sharks and being unprepared for a renewed assault by Algernon. But the other's last words towards him had caused a deffinate pout to form on his lips, head turning away to one side, his usually pale cheeks flushed with crimson. It was... embarrassing that he had lived by the beach all his life because--
"I can't swim...." he mumbled reluctantly, his words nearly indistinguishable. In all his life, he had never been permitted to set foot in waters -- particularly those of the beach. It was too dangerous and too dirty to be worth-while for the only 'princess' of the royal line....
He glanced up, then, just in time to see the whisp of smoke. He blinked as it vanished, brow then furrowing slightly. "Hey, that looks like--" he began, his dark eyes wide, until he was nudged into the side by Flora. The pink fairy knew just who Indi's fantasies were about.

"Maybe I should go and say good bye to him?" Indi mumbled as he flew over to the water's edge and looked out over the ocean before him with a deep longing in his eyes."I wonder if he's thinking about me while I'm away or not?" he whispered to himself before turning back to the others. He would only go if they didn't need him for the time being.

Apparently Nicholas was going toward something he knew nothing of, he thought, looking from Indi to Aurora then back again. Always with the emotions, though. He figured it must be something really tough to be in love, but well worth it seeing as how people would risk their lives just to get it; Such as in Aurora's case. Then again.. it wasn't so much life risking on the way up, being more a test of stamina. And also.. it may not have always been the love itself some men were after. Just the princess that awaited up top. After all, who wouldn't want the prize of a beautiful princess?
Looking back over to Aurora, Nic had to remind himself once more that even that was a false rumor. For Aurora was no princess at all, though he was quite apt at playing the part.
With a shake of the head, the knight grinned. "Swimming really isn't all that difficult," he said. "If you should want, I could teach you, I'm sure. That is.. if you think you're capable learning."

Aurora glanced back towards Indi and offered the other boy a small shrug -- which could be interpretted as 'do as you will.' Almost immidiately, however, his attention was recaptured by Nic. THe prince bristled slightly at the other's last words and the slight attack on his pride. It was rather a pity that Aurora reacted so strongly to even the most minor attacks on his pride. "I-I-" he stammered, face flushed with indignation. Truly, the thought of swimming quite scared him, what with all the waves and the... the jelly fish and sharks and whatnot, and there was always the possibility of falling asleep while swimming (which most certainly could not be good) -- but there was no way he would admit to that fear.
"O-of course I can learn!" he replied in a rather irritated tone, a heavy flush covering his cheeks. That same pout was on his rosy lips, lightly wrinkling the pale flesh above his nearly black eyes. "What makes you think I can't?!?" he demanded, hands placed angrilly on hips.

In nearly any other case, Nic would have been horrified at the prospect of upsetting Aurora or making him angry. But this time.. it was quite different. He couldn't deny how cute the other looked trying to back himself up, especially over something as trivial as learning to swim. Unaware of whether it would further fuel the prince's anger, the knight gave a lght laugh. How could he not, really?
"I never said anything of the sort," he defended half-heartedly, waving a hand as if trying to brush away Aurora's anger. "I'm sure you can do absolutely anything you set your mind to, my prince. Very much including stroking your way through those waves of water." He gestured toward the ocean before them.

Aurora bristled slightly as the other laughed, his hands tightening in their hold on his own hips, his pout deepening. And his... his words -- it sounded like someone indulging a child's fancies, taking pity upon the agravating determination of someone who hated to be made fun of. The prince glanced to the side, his pale eyebrows furrowing downwards in what was clearly the expression of a fuming, childish prince.
"--Whatever. It doesn't matter, anyway. Papa will probably be here soon, anyway...." he said, not realising that he had just said something rather embarrassing. That is, until Flora let out a great peal of laughter, one hand held clasped over her mouth.
"Hahaha... stupid, I thought you said you'd never stoop to calling them such childish names as 'mama' and 'papa'? I thought it was only 'father' and 'mother' from now on!" she exclaimed amidst fits of giggles.
Aurora's flush brightened considerably and his hands moved to become clutched as fists. He was quite unmistakably embarrassed. "Sh-shut up!!" he stammered, dark eyes glaring intensely at the fairy. And yet he couldn't pull off the 'furious' look very well -- it simply looked adorable, and not at all intimidating.
((Sorry for my horrible spelling/any typos that may occur.... I have a bit of a headache and it's making my eyes a little... blurry.... D: ))

Indi heard the prince's comment about his father and looked up to the castle once more. "I can't come back yet Kane. Be strong without me." he whispered and in that moment, the wind picked up a bit, carrying his words through the kingdom and to the ears of a red haired boy of 19 standing in the castles kitchen.
Kane looked up at the familiar voice and sighed deeply. "I figured as much my little fairy." he said softly, knowing Indi wouldn't hear him.

Though Nic did crack a grin at Flora's teasing, he figured the fairies must have major leeway when it came to this particular prince, to go as far as to call him 'stupid' to his face. Then again, Aurora had been locked inside that tower with no other company but them, not including the occasional failed suitor. No doubt they were close.
"Now, now. Can't we all just play nice?" he suggested. "Besides, I think there's been just a little too much fighting for today anyway." Even though it seemed as if Aurora was the only one getting angry. Still yet, the dark-haired knight didn't want that either. "You said you're father will be on his way. There's no use just standing here doing nothing. Why don't we start ahead and meet him halfway?" He held back the comment that he was interested in meeting the parents who would dress their son up like a girl.

Aurora glanced over to Flora, who was also looking quite... anxious. He gave her a meaningful look and, from his promptings, the pink fairy began to speak. "Ahh... yes, well, I don't think that's a very good idea. We'd be changing the route, you see, and... well... things that are unplanned tend to get... trodden on....." she said, looking quite uncomfortable. "It's best to just stay put and wait for his... ahh... arival....." she murmured, Aurora nodding furvently in his agreement.
It became apparent just what they were afraid of several moments later. The ground had begun to tremble slightly below their feet and, though it was nothing too major, it was quite unsettling. Aurora was staring across the beach towards a large procession of... elephants, atop the biggest of which was situated the king, dressed in quite a mighty splender. It didn't take at all long for him to reach them. When he was a mere hundred feet or so away he cleanly dismounted, slipping easily off the back of the elephant. He did not move or look like someone old enough to have parented someone Aurora's age -- in fact, he looked as if he could be no more than in his late twenties. The truth was, though, that he was already twenty years the senior of his appearance.
"Hasn't changed a day...." Flora muttured with a small frown. Fairies aged quite slowly, but for humans this was... exceptional. The queen looked even younger, despite her age....
Aurora stood staring at his father for some several minutes before he suddenly set off running across the beach. For all he had said of how overly stupid and terrible his parents were, he cared for them quite deeply and was rather overly pleased to see his father (particularly since he had not seen him in over a year).
"Papa!" he exclaimed happily, his expression seeming to have lightened into that of a child meeting his father after he had returned from a long business trip. Aurora was quite short -- and his father was rather overly tall -- and so it was no surprise that when they embraced, the prince looked even tinier due to the extreme difference in their heights. Aurora grinned up happily towards his father, having practically leaped into his arms.

Nic had been put in a state of confusion at what seemed to be Flora's and Aurora's diversion to his idea. Honestly, what was the big deal from goingt ahead to meet them? But he got his answer soon before he got the chance to wonder further. The first tremble of the ground, and the knight was glancing wildly about, believing themselves to be under attack once again. While seeing the others to be calm, Nic himself did relax somewhat.. but that didn't stump his jaw-dropping surprise at seeing the huge beasts coming toward them. Elephants on the beach.. That was something he didn't see every day.
"What an entrance," Nic said breathlessly, not realizing his feet had began carrying him toward the arrived group. It was just like a royal family to make something as simple as coming to greet their son into a parade.
Upon arriving before the family, the knight automatically dipped into a low, respectful bow. "Your Majesty," he said.

CRASH!
Down went several glass vials onto the stone floor, leaving varied chemicals fizzing angrilly together.
Algernon paced stiffly, still sporting his torn clothing, jerking his head as if in denial about something. Which, in reality, he was. In short, the elf almost looked some sort of caged animal, unable to relieve its stress by tearing its claws and fangs into something. He resorted to picking up an empty beaker and shattering it before his feet instead.
"My Lord," came a raspy voice, breaking the elf's raging thoughts. The lanky troll-like creature shrank back at the narrowed eyes that shot his way, but nevertheless, continued with his query. "You've returned with your prize, the prince?"The simple question almost sent him off once more. If he had had the chance to calm himself a bit more, Algernon may have simply rolled his eyes at the creature. However, as regretful as it was, he hadn't had that time to do so. The elf's arms tensed to the point of trembling before he shouted, "Does it look like I have him in my possession?!" This was his roundabout way of admitting momentary defeat. The ignorant troll actually took several seconds to scan the room, looking rather confused. "No?"
...
That did it.. He would have killed the idiot servant on the spot if he didn't need him to run an errand. "Fetch me Uruk at once!" he growled, practically throwing himself back into a large chair, not bothering to watch the creature skitter quickly out of the room to summon the only favored troll in his castle.

Indi drifted over to the Royal Proscession and kneeled before the King and Queen. "Your majesty. You Highness." he said softly with a small bow of honor to them both. "If I may ask, could one of the royal messengers carry a message back to the castle for me? To Kane?" he asked them politely, taking to his duties in the castle immediately. He used his magic to make sure that the elephants were well taken care of while the King and Queen waited and making sure to tidy up their riding seats atop them.

Aurora glanced between the pair -- his father seemed to be rather busy weeping tears of joy in that overly dramatic fashion he carried when things concerned his "daughter" -- and murmured, "Go ahead, Indi, and Nic, you can get up....." His tone was not at all befitting of a prince. After his initial rush of joy at having been reunited with his father, he had become much more level-headed and sheepish at having acted so childishly -- which was shown both by his tone and the light flush on his cheeks.
"Your Lovely mother will be comming soon," the king said happily, a light grin on his lips. After all those years of marriage, he still somehow found that old pun funny... Of course, her real name wasn't Lovely, but she liked to think it was. At a closer view, it was easy to see how Aurora and his father could be related, despite their differences. Though Herbe's hair was a rich brown color, it was the same sort of incredibly straight, soft hair that gre from the prince's head. Their facial features, too, bore much similarity, though Aurora's were decidedly more femenine.
"Houuuuuuuuuuuuugh," Flora said happily, a wide smile on her lips as she adressed the king. She never did call him the propper name. "Hough, how are you? It's been quite the long while; did you get my letter?" Obviously, the pair were quite close, and fond of each other. But that was only to be expected -- after all, Flora was one of Aurora's godmothers. And she was pink, which was deffinately an in with the queen.
The king greeted Flora warmly, a light smile on his lips that was much kinder than any seen on Aurora's, and yet still bore an uncanny resemblance to that of the prince's. "Felicity," he said happily, returning the misnaming favour. "Felicity, it's been so long!" His eyes then, finally, slid to Nic. He stopped for several moments, a rather surprised expression on his features before he burst out in a wide smile.
"You! Are you my son in law?!" he demanded happily. Aurora, who had been looking rather childishly happy, seemed to choke slightly at those words, his expression turning to one of incredible disbelief. "F-father!" he exclaimed, aghast.
