Areno went for a Desert Coffin-type approach, his shield of sand collapsing in around the man and weapon in an attempt to keep a live prisoner while setting up another trick of his... unfortunately it didn't get that far. The collapsed sand kept the explosive damage to a minimum, sending Areno skidding through the sand up to the side. "What in the HELLS?"
He growled, raising both of his hands, fingers spread... and from his arms, five more hands apiece sprouted. "Maruchi-Hessendan!" Each finger shot out a fingertip-spike like a bullet, following with the rest of the phalanges... firing a total of 720 bone spikes out at the soldiers down the hall as if from a machine gun.

Kotai reached out with a concerned look to Hinata, stopping just short before pulling his scarred hand back. "Alright then, fire-demon... Leaf 1 and 2, on me. Snow teams, with Hinata. Stone and Cloud teams, keep our backs secure... we'll trust Tekikaku to keep our entry point clear. Move out! We'll follow the teams that went on ahead with the Sand Defender. Cloud and Stone Defenders, with me." He turned then, making sure Hinata was alright, before moving forward down the walkways...

A shiny light ran down the walls, ceiling and floor of the hallway, but to what ends? Nothing seemed to happen.
The spheres seemed to retreat, with all of them gathering and forming something behind captain in front. Several soldiers in the back were in a formation, with the ones in front creating what seemed to be fire pillars and the ones in back shooting forth streams of ice. Upon mixing, water came forth, and that formed the basis for the captain's counter.
Using the water, the captain formed a wall of water between them and the incoming bone fragments. As speeds increase, the impact against the water grows drastically, often shattering projectiles if traveling fast enough. Nonetheless, it stops projectiles pretty darn effectively.
While this was happening, the spheres that had gathered behind the captain now seemed to encase him in a very bulky suit of armor while still still in their ball-like forms(think the Hulk made of tiny metal spheres).

((Let's see if I remember correctly...
THE SUMMARY!:
The ground shook and the skies darkened, and before any village knew what happened, they were under attack by armored soldiers wielding weapons that seemed to have control over the elements. These soldiers also donned technologically-superior armor, generating a forcefield around them that defended them against attacks that weren't up to snuff. Most of the villages were able to fend off the initial attack but suffered many casualties. Now, it's payback time as the villages put their differences aside and form an allied task force to destroy the menace.
Shunketsu took a small group of ninjutsu users and took the first strike, hoping to destroy the outermost chakra-negating generator in order to allow the main strike force a base of operations from within the enemy's base itself. Unknown to him was the fact that his long-lost friends had apparently been spies and betrayed him. Shunketsu was successful in destroying that outermost generator, but to what cost? He was blindsided by Saeko, one of the previously mentioned "friends" and was captured.
By the time the main strike force arrived, a trap was in place to take out the medics and a shocking surprise waited inside. They successfully defended against the trap and defeated Shunketsu. Technically, they defeated multiple Shunketsus, each one created of flesh and blood, but how? How is it possible that there are so many identical Shunketsus? Why would Shunketsu defect to the enemy's ranks? How did he suddenly grow in power? He had never used his abilities to that extent before as his Chakra Elimination Wave drained him severely. Shunketsu's summon, Kazangan, was puzzled as to how he was summoned. Shunketsu was the only known summoner of him, and yet, he swore that he was not summoned by Shunketsu himself.
Now, Areno is squaring off against 2 captains and a good number of soldiers who aren't doing much but offering support. What could the future hold in store for them?
btw: if you guys want to get in the fight or something, I can add in a secret hallway or something that you guys can wander down and encounter something fun smile ))

(ok, so we are looking for shun now? Gosh, I get so lost sometime ^.^)
::hinata waved him forward, ignoring the slight wave of dizziness, bracing herself with her other hand on the wall. She drug her fingers along the wall as they walked, milky eyes scanning the walls looking for anything that might signal the next attack or some area to lead them to their destination. The best thing now would be to complete their objective and get back to the villages. But she wasn't sure how easy that was going to be::

((Sorry for taking so long, I don't have much energy lately...even though it's Summer...))
As Hinata ran her hand along the wall, she would soon reach an area that seemed to be warmer than the area around it. This part of the wall didn't look like anything out of the ordinary. There were no special-looking panels or anything that would need extra power, which would thus generate the heat. Something was odd about this wall.
If she had the sense to look down, the floor panels throughout the hallway seemed uniform. Yet, right in front of the wall, there was an extra section of a panel that seemed to run under the wall. Only a small portion was visible, so it wasn't easily noticed, but is it just a plain architectural flaw or as there something more to it?

::She slowly ran her hand down the length of the wall until reaching the floor, examining the slightly odd floor panel. She shut her eyes, letting her sense of touch work for her instead for a moment as she felt the heat from the wall. On her knees she ran her hand along the very bottom of the wall, fingers playing at the seam between the floor at the rock::

They weren't connected. Close examination revealed that this wall was put in place to block something off.
So, choices:
1: Find some way to pry the wall out of its socket and see what's behind it - a very time-consuming and probably futile effort...or 2: Bust the damn thing down. Since the whole base knows where they are anyway, a little more noise couldn't possibly hurt. Being a temporary wall, the circuitry that runs along the walls, protecting them from damage, shouldn't run through this part at all.

::she chewed her bottom lip a bit as she thought. It would take a lot of time to be subtle but neither did she want to make too large of a sound. It may still attract unknown enemies. Also, it would alert Kotai who seemed to have enough to worry about already. In some ways she wished that she did have the over pompous stone nin with them. Finding the structural elements in objects was not at the top of her list. Hinata specialized in people, not things::
::she stood keeping her hand on the warm wall and concentrating. She may be able to use the same technique on the wall as she did people, if she just knew where to force the chakra in::

A complex energy network flowed through the part of the wall, most likely to power some kind of flashing lightbulb or something. It didn't use chakra, so any injection of chakra into its network would be futile.
The energy was evenly distributed, except at one point near the bottom, somewhere in the middle. It seemed like some kind of projector, but she wouldn't be able to distinguish what it really was. She couldn't see anything behind the wall either.
All of a sudden however, the wall seemed to disappear before her eyes and revealed a dimly-lit hallway. Before she could react, an energy pulse from the wall behind her pushed her forward into the hallway. If she turned around she would see that the wall had rematerialized behind her and that she had been isolated and cut off from the rest of the group. An eerie laugh echoed from down the hall.
If no one were paying attention, it would seem like Hinata just disappeared, which would maybe seem the case since she was lagging behind, examining the wall.

::hinata stumbled as the energy hit her. She caught her balance, knives easily coming into her hands, chakra wrapping around them to give them a sharper edge. She looked around, pressing herself back into the wall as she heard the laugh. After waiting a few more moments she stepped off the wall and slowly began to make her way down the hallway::
::With the byakugan active she scanned the hallway as she took slowly steps toward the end. She knew that going backwards would not help her in the least. The door was probably as secure inside as it was outside, especially if this was a trap as it seemed to be. Since she had waited behind the group to investigate there was little chance that they would realize that she was missing so soon. Even if they did there was little chance of them getting through unless whoever it was that sent her in here wanted them to::

Nothing really happened on her way through the hallway, but when she reached the end, she'd find an unbelievable, yet disturbing, sight.
She found herself in an enormous room that stretched down quite some ways. Vats lined the walls of the room. each one contained what one could swear is an embryo or fetus. If she were still employing the use of her Byakugan and bothered looking towards the far end, she'd see that the far wall only had one vat, larger than the others. This one vat seemed to have tubes that connected to all the other vats. Inside, she'd find Shunketsu. He was pale, weak, and unconscious. A mask connected to a tube provided him with oxygen in his new liquid environment. There he was, suspended in some semi-clear, greenish goo. Nodes were connected to several parts of his body, monitoring his vital signs. However, some of these nodes looked different and if Hinata were the type of person who notices EVERYTHING, she'd notice that some of them were connected to several of his tenketsu.
All of a sudden, a green light lit up on Shunketsu's vat and one could hear Shunketsu's muffled screams of pain. His body spasmed horribly and his eyes opened as he screamed, but one look at his eyes showed that he had already lost his ability to stay conscious. Some of the wires connected to the tenketsu-attached nodes glowed light blue as Shunketsu was forcefully drained of his chakra. The tubing connecting to the other vats glowed of his chakra and now...the fetuses...hundreds of them, seemed to all mature at a drastic rate. They soon assumed full human shape, each one looking like Shunketsu...perfect clones. At this time, all the vats, except for the central Shunketsu's emptied downward as the clones were transferred somewhere else and Shunketsu returned once again to his unconscious, floating state.
Then, a floor panel opened up and an elevator brought forth a man in a white uniform. He had pink-ish hair and wore glasses. He took one look at Hinata and laughed and now she'd know he was the source of the earlier laughing.
Man with pink hair: "Well! What do you think? Brilliant isn't it? Even though i invented this system, I do have to admit, it still impresses me at times."

::her hands rested gently on the glass as she examined Shunketsu's position. He was weak, but alive, and therefore not beyond rescue. swiftly she moved to look for a control panel or something that she could use to deactivate this horrid device. It was then that this pink haired man decided to show himself::
::she glowered at him briefly before turning her face into the passive stone mask that she had learned to use. Milky white eyes slowly moved over him from head to toe, learning what she could at a quick glance. This time she may be in over her head. She wished that there was a way for her to call to Kotai but even if she could what good would it do at this point, he wouldn't be able to get here in time, none of them would::
::Her hands rested at her sides, body only slightly tensed though she made no movement in any particular direction. Instead she let her eyes roam from the man to the instruments behind him, attempting to figure out which was the one that she needed::
don't worry, Shun, I'll find a way to get you and I out of here, I swear.

The man was dismayed by Hinata's stone-like face. But he then gave her a big smile...freaky as it is...
Man with pink hair: "Why so serious?"
The man snapped his fingers and 3 floor panels between Hinata and himself opened up and 3...freaks...emerged. One looked like he was only skin and bones, but he was average height. One looked like he wouldn't fit throught he hole in the floor, but somehow manages to. This 2nd one was also only like 4 feet tall...but around 3-4 feet wide. The 3rd had...3 arms...3 eyes...and a tail...At least he had 2 legs...
Man with pink hair: "Be happy! I do get ever so bored of male subjects. Female models are much more...appealing. There's just so much more programming that I can play around with. Thus, I shall give you the honor of being my next model. Think about it. An infinite amount of you. Immortality. What do you say?"
