((Gaah! Gomen nasai!))
"Whups, hold on, Qwerrty!" Myrrh called back as she shot upwards as smoothly as she could, moments behind the main body of kyns. Once off the ground and gaining altitude, though, stability was not an issue, nor was speed. She was silk through the air, an arrow from a bow. Less than a minute found her gliding perhaps a length behind and below Magnus. Whisking her wings and panting lightly (she was predominantly a sprinter and trick flyer, not a long-distance or power flier), she rose into the draft of the larger dragon, gliding more easily now, the odd, curving markings on her wing membranes displayed clearly to anyone looking up from below. She called forward to him happily once she regained her breath a bit. "You have quite a collection going there, Maggie!"

"whee!" said qwerrty. "good luck!" screamed out mame at qwerrty and myrrh. qwerrty carefully grabbed onto myrrh, hoping he wold hold on enough. he put his wings up just in case.

Magnus chuckled, and hung back to nuzzle Myrrh. Meaning that, once again, Rosy had to put up with Qwerrty on the silver dragon's back. But then he remembered how she had used his wind vacuum to glide easier, and pulled forward again so she wouldn't have to work so hard, making sure each wingbeat was trim and measured. Then there were the clouds.
Draco wanted to do something 'romantic' with the clouds for Myrrh, but nothing came to mind and really all clouds were is just an aerial fog. What could he do with that? Well, he'd read three magic books... maybe now he should practice with his storm, light and fire gems.
He cupped his foreclaws together, never faltering in his wingstrokes. He gathered the cloud in his palms as he flew. Light followed as well, a glowing milky sort of substance that darkened to conserve energy, until it was completely transparent. The material crystalized into the form of a magic crystal, specifically the light one, but it was made of solid storm. Maybe this would do? Draco looked up, realizing he'd drifted off to the side by a couple of degrees and righted his course so as to not lose sight of Minya. For if he got lost (a laughable notion) then so would Myrrh, and Qwerrty, and Rosy and Poke.
Deciding to save the crystal for later, he clenched it in his wingtip, the other one already holding a sparkler.

Minya angled her wing tips upwards, soaring higher into the atmosphere. Breaking through the lower level of clouds, she flattened out her flight and kept at a straighter path. From their position, it would be entirely impossible for the other kyns to retrace where they were flying. It was purposeful, of course. They weren't allowed to come back.
She pumped her wings on occasion, for the most part letting the drafts keep her aloft and simply glide. It was a long flight, and there was simply no reason at all to wear herself out quickly. She expected that some of the others might have a harder time. She'd made this flight many many times - every time that there was to be a sale of eggs, to be exact. She was more than used to the long distance.

flying through the clouds was always a interesting experience. They always seem so soid from the ground but when you go through them it's as if your going through fog. She could not see much, except rosmary who was sitting beside her and magnus head and wings. She had a guess this was a one trip only thing.
Her imagination however wasn't being so quiet, as she kept imaging huge portals opening before her

qwerrty, for once, was actually quite scared. "will this be interesting? or will it be scary..?" he thought.

Myrrh felt Qwerrty's fear, transfered through a slight tensing of his paws. If she hadn't been occupied in staying aloft, she would have stroke the little Lunar. As it was, though, all she could do was turn her head slightly back over her shoulder to speak to him. "Don't worry, Qwerrty. We're all safe together; I don't think we're in much danger. Hold on, though. We're going up!" With that, she flicked her wings and was bouyed up into the clouds, where her silver scales were nearly invisible in the swirling gray mists, and then above into the brilliance of the sun shining from above and reflected from below.

Lucky for everyone else, rosemary never noticed Qwerrty. All this flying was fun and all, but her feathers were being blown every-which way. Instinct was telling her to try to get them back into order, as messy wings equals no flight. So Rosemary has her triangular head underneath one wing, using her teeth to pull feathers apart.
Rosemary poked her head out when it suddenly got colder and wetter. Bleh, they flew through a cloud! Now glistening drops of water was on her precious wings. It looked pretty, especially if she tilts her whole body a bit off to the right, and the sun hit it at just the right angle- ah, there we go. She looked like she was covered with diamonds. Rosemary spent the next little while amusing herself by watching the water droplets roll off her water-resistant feathers.

qwerrty was shielding his eyes with his paw, when suddenly he felt wetness all over! he quickly looked at the cloud, then noticing that it got his whole body slightly wet. he shook of his ankle wings, then his tail. "boy, ho knew clouds were...wet." he said.

(Sorry I haven't posted all weekend, I was at a convention.)
Ttetania had taken flight right after Rosemary, but allowed the little kyn to fly on her own for a moment. She had been about to assist Rosemary, but since Draco Magnus had given her a ride, there had been no need. So after the group had flown through the layer of coulds, Tetania found a good thermal to give her a lift, then flew a bit above the main group and looked around. Noticing that Minya was mostly gliding, Tetania began to do the same, planning on mostly using thermals to gain altitude again whenever necessary.

As an Eastern, of course, Tare could fly near-indefinitely. He flew without wings, after all. For him, it was a matter of gliding on a cushion of air. His long body broke the clouds and he gently moved his wings to cover Paige to keep her warm in the cold, wet environment passing through the clouds. "Paige, if you need to you can dry your clothes on my mane... you must be freezing." Clouds are cold, and make you sopping wet when you pass through them!

She hadn't come prepared in any heavy riding gear, not really expecting any sudden or prolonged flight. The layer of clouds was a potential problem, and Piage ducked down under the offered wing support as Tare cut through them. Even so, as Tare had already predicted, she did get partially soaked. The sun, once clear of the clouds, was warmer at the very least even as the wind currents cut through stronger. "Thank you, Tare, but I don't want you getting a cold either," she smiled through her words, a hand reaching out to scratch behind his left horn.

qwerrty saw all of the other kyns. it seemed everyone was getting cold and wet. "boy, we're very high up...and clouds are messy!" he said to myrrh.
soon, they reached a point where it was finally slightly sunny. qwerrty was enjoying the sun and clouds.

As they had emerged into sunlight, poke sat shiverling in her spot, having forgotten about the idea that clouds were wet and ended up with all her clothes soaked through. She hoped they would get there soon, as even though the sun was shining through the wind did nothing to help.

As soon as they were clear of the wisps of vapour, Draco shook out his head like a big cat trying to get water out of his fur and whiskers. The shaking continued down in a little shudder down his body, shivering the droplets off his red and white scales in a rainbow spray. It was certainly much colder up here, above the clouds, but a hardy Canadian Kyn wouldn't mind.
The European looked back, concerned about the welfare of his passengers. Rosemary may have scales like him, but she was much, much smaller, and more likely to get cold. Though, feathered wings would help. And Poke? The poor Human had no natural defense against clouds. Chuckling, Magnus transferred the sparkler in his wing thumb to his mouth with a little difficulty, breathed a little Kyn fire and fire magic onto it, and twisted his muscular neck to hand it back. "M'ere. Mit mell meepyu marm."
