As soon as they reached the training area, Kei immediately went into his defensive stance. "Bring it on, little puppy." he said with a grin. "I'm ready anytime you get the courage to attack."

"Who says I was going to attack first?" A voice said from behind him.
"But since you asked so nice I'll make the first move, human." The girl that was in front poofed and turned into a dog, into Himi well the reall Mai-lin punched him from behind.
"How did you know she was the puppy?" Mai-lin asked, jumping up onto a poll that was placed in the clearing.

"Heh, dog breath." Kei said as he turned and punched the pole Mai-lin was standing on, hard enough to split in half length wise. "Don't take me lightly or you'll end up hurt."

Mai-lin yelped as she started falling. She did a quick twist in the air and landed on her feet. "Don't worry, I may kid a lot but I never take people lightly." She was already in a fighting stance, watching Kei.

"It's not too late for you to back down. You saw what I did to that log. If I hit you directly, I assure you that something will break." Kei turned and swung his foot out, aiming for her head.

"I'll be fine." SHe said as she jumped over his foot. "I'm no pushover, thank you very much. I was promoted with just two ears of school so once again, I'm worried about you." She did a front flip, aiming to kick him as she did.

Kei tried to doge the kick but wasn't fast enough and caught it in the side. He grunted but other than that didn't make a sound. "I give you credit for being fast. Must come in handy when you're running away." He turned and swung his fist out.

Mai-lin narrowed her eyes but didn't respond. She did a quick turn to try and hit him again but missed. She turned that miss into a jump that would take her to another pole.

Kei grabbed Mai-lins leg as she passed by and used her momentum to throw her towards the pole. "Look, you can fly now!" he laughed.

Mai-lin yelped and grabbed onto the pole. She swung around and pulled herself up. She was standing, crouched on the wooden pole, staring down at the other. She opend her mouth to reply but thought better of it.

Kei suddenly had the urge to show off his muscle more and smiled. He went over to another pole and pulled it out of the ground. "Do you like baseball, Mai-lin?" He asked as he swung the pole at her.

"Eeee!!" She screamed, jumping up and barely missing being hit when she landed she didn't notice him swing it backwards until she was flat on her face. She coughed and sat up, rubbing the back of her head, tears stinging the edges of her goldenbrown eyes.

"What's this? On the ground already? I thought you were going to beat me, Mai-lin?" Kei shoved the pole back into the ground, then walked over to her. "Shall I only use one hand to make it easier for you?" He swung his foot out to kick her but she moved out of the way.

Mai-lin jumped back and glared. "I thought we were doing hand to hand, not bringing in other objects." She growled. She jumped over him, landing behind him softly. "Had I known that I would have been more careful." She said as she picked him up and tossed him over her.

He landed hard on his back, but quickly got to his feet. "If I had intentionally meant to hit you, you wouldn't be standing right now." I didn't mean to hit her...I though she'd be able to doge it...not my fault she didn't. "If you want to use something, go ahead. Fight how you normally do. You can even use your weapons. If it's more serious, I can improve." Kei kept his guard up and waited to see what she'd do.
