Girls' Day Out.
User Image

"Why did we all have to leave?"

"Because," the young woman began irritably, "It's called a girl's day out, or some s**t like that."

"But," the Boundless protested, but was cut short with a glare from the resident matriarch, "It sounds like a great idea." A woeful glance was sent towards her game systems and laptop.

"That's what I thought," X replied, scooping up Anastazja and hefting the child over her shoulder and heading out towards the car. Her daughter simply squealed and tightly wound her tail around her mother's arm. This was her mother and the Jivvin princess was never one for sharing.

The weather had turned more brisk than cold, a temperature that the daywalker's granddaughter could tolerate without fear of her metal seizing up.

Thankfully, Tourmaline looked positively gleeful about going out. In fact, she was the one who had suggested the whole ordeal, and after some coercing by Slush, X had agreed to take the girls out for the day.

"Why don't you wear any color Babcia?" The contrastingly brightly colored SM asked on their way out to the car.

X looked down at what she was wearing and raised an eyebrow at Tourmaline, who looked highly amused by the line of questioning. Babcia always came up with interesting answers to things. "Because I'm old," she simply retorted, not caring to really be witty at the moment.

"Well I'm going to wear col--"

"SHOTGUN!"

Tourmaline and X both stopped in their tracks to watch a furry streak run by them, and of course, Stazja took this opportunity to 'one up' Sanura, yelling, or rather shrieking, at the top of her lungs, "Shoooot'un!"

The Boundless simply pinned her ears back from the noise as she definantly clicked the seatbelt in place.

A huffing noise accentuated both outbursts, and X looked down at the colorful one to see her glaring at Sanura as if she had just stolen Tourmaline's throne right out from under her.

"Tourmaline gets to sit there on the way back," X said promptly to avoid any early morning scuffles between the girls, pointedly giving Tourmaline a look to stop any sort of protest the child was about to make.

She simply scowled, jerking the backseat door open before ducking into the car.

A sigh of relief came from the daywalker as she made her way around the car to the other side to put Stazja, who was still too small to sit in the front, into her car seat. Luckily for X, the young Jivvin thought her car seat as a sort of throne, and she actually unwound her tail from her mother's arm without a fight, scene, or scream fest.

So far, so good.

After the little one was locked and loaded into her 'throne,' X carefully shut the back door and scooted herself into the driver's seat.

"Seatbelts," she called out, glancing in her rear-view-mirror to check that Tourma had buckled herself up, and once she was satisfied, they were backing out of the long driveway.

It didn't take them long to reach their destination, but it seemed like forever when Sanura was in the front taunting Tourmaline by having control of the iPod hooked up to the radio. The two never seemed to agree on tastes in music, while Stazja just liked to try and 'sing' (screech) louder than the people singing through the car. All of this would have added up to a monster headache if X hadn't taken a few sharp turns liberally to shut the bickering pair up.

Stazja on the other hand, enjoyed the fast turns and raised her arms in the air squealing excitedly.

Not surprisingly, Sanura and Tourmaline were the first ones out of the car when they pulled into a parking space. X simply smiled to herself the entire time she was helping Stazja out of her car seat.

No sooner than the doors were locked did X hear a happy shriek free itself from her granddaughter's lips. "It's a SPA!" The metal SM began jumping in place happily, earning volatile glares from Sanura, whose ears were pinned back from the noise.

"I don't want my nails painted," the Boundless complained, glaring at the establishment while Tourmaline continued to freak out, a blur of colors as she jumped up and down.

"You don't have to; they do massages, facials, and other things too. Just look at the menu inside," the matriarch replied while a second set of purple eyes peered over X's shoulder at the building from their piggy back position.

Sanura frowned, but she couldn't hide that her interest was piqued. Even if it was just a little bit.

"Can I get nails?" Asked Stazja in Polish, which was her first and still best language.

The daywalker pulled the door open and walked in, smiling at the staff, who looked just as varied as they did. For once, X was glad that they were in Gaia. "Sure darling," she replied, setting her daughter down so that her hands would be free.

Her granddaughter was right behind X, eyes wide with excitement as she took in the entirety of the shop. Everything about it made Tourma happy and just plain gleeful.

Sanura had followed in after her, not bothering to try and block the other child's entrance. Even the Boundless knew about the SM's metal, as well as her strength because of it.

The receptionist handed the vampire three brochures at first, but X quickly made a motion for a fourth one. Even though Stazja couldn't read yet, the Jivvin would throw a fit if everyone else got something and she didn't.

"Read these over, and tell the nice lady when you know what you want," X explained to the three girls, grinning at the variety of expressions coming from all of them. "And get whatever you want," she added before looking over the brochure herself.

Surprisingly, Sanura was the first one to decide what she wanted, and soon disappeared with a staff lady to a back room with a smile. Tourma wasn't far behind, though X suspected that the wait was only because the list of what she wanted was a long one.

Mission accomplished.

"And you two?" A young staff lady asked the pair, smiling down at Stazja, who was putting on her cute act for the stranger's attention.

"Pedicure and a manicure for this one here," X said while placing her hand on her daughter's head, "And a whole list of things for me." She grinned, looking forward to an entire day of pampering.

"Right this way," the woman said, showing them to a back room.

X scooped up Stazja, making a funny face at her before following the woman. This was going to be absolutely wonderful.

Oh the sacrifices she did for her son.

Oh man, have things been busy.

Really really reaaaally busy.

I haven't even had the time to write in this since before Tourmaline had her growth spurt. But now I have time to, so expect this to be really long and all that jazz.

At Christmas we all went to visit Moo, my mother in law. We brought all the kids, which was interesting to say the least. And by all the kids I mean everyone but Faust, who refused to leave his 'sanitary' room.

He's become so weird I don't even understand him anymore...

Anyways, we took Tourmaline in all her rainbow glory (squee), Cody, Violet, L'aven, and Gwen.

Gosh we have a lot of kids. Luckily Violet's old enough to babysit.

So yeah, we visited Moo and opened presents. All that Christmas stuff.

Mum's birthday was in January, so Isto and I had to pretend not to hear her and Jack upstairs. It may have been possible that Dari walked in on them, but I'm not sure. I was too busy paying attention to my husband and trying to block my mother having sex out.

Oh, then Isto dragged me to meet his friends and their kids. Made me feel old. Tawn and Sarabi were their names, and they're SM anthros too. They have twins, one's a right little a*****e, but the other seems to really like Skittles.

I am proud to say that my baby girl put that Adam in his place! I can't believe he'd even say something like that to her!

Kids these days.

Oh gods, now I know I'm old...

Anyways, Tawn and Sarabi were nice, and as was Dalton. Adam can take a flying ride off the end of my shoe.

And then there was Valentine's Day. <3 I~ got breakfast in bed, and then sex in bed. It was an absolutely lovely morning.

Afterwards he gave me a key...

TO OUR OWN NEW HOUSE!

I'm so excited! But we're not telling the kids till we get everything finalized and situated I think. Actually I don't know... But I really like the house! Even if it is smaller...

Let's just hope Princess Skittles is okay with it... And maybe even pray.

We even got X to take Tourmaline out with the rest of the female children for a day so we could go look at the house, get measurements, and christen the house without the realtor knowing... You know, the essentials.

Well, I think Isto just got home so that means this journal entry is over. I apologize for how rushed and disjointed it is.

Then again, you're just a journal and don't mind.

Ha!

Whoooo, long time no entry.

Slush tells me he updated recently, so I'll just skim over things.

Way back before Christmas, Tourmaline grew and, not to brag, but she's by far the most beautiful little girl in the world. However, she's apparently filled with more metal than even I am, and this...poses a problem.

She's very...very heavy. I can carry her, but I'm used to lugging around stuff, plus my own metal helps me out. But anyone else?

She squishes them.

And thus she already thinks herself overweight, which she's -not-. But she's very touchy on the subject. We've actually thrown out all the scales in the house to keep her from worrying about it.

Fend off eating disorders.

So far so good.

Christmas was spent at Moo's, New Years at X's. Did the family thing, had fun. Good times.

Faust, stubborn bugger that he is, didn't come, but what can you do? He's technically an adult, he can make his own decisions...mostly.

Moo and X both had birthdays in January, but they were rather uneventful. I dropped by Moo's to say hello, happy birthday, etc, then came home and got to block out the sounds of X and Jack going at it for the rest of the night.

Never, ever let your brother fall in love with you're mother-in-law.

It's disgusting.

Let's see, let's see... Oh! Dragged Slush and Tourma off to meet Tawn and Sarabi. Friends who got married shortly before Tourma hatched, remember?

It went....well. I guess. Slush got along well with Tawn and Sarabi, anyway, and one of their sons wasn't bad.

The other, however, was an impudent little p***k, and I was hard pressed not to toss him out a window.

But don't tell Tawn.

I mean, I know Tourma didn't help matters... She's rather, er, arrogant often times. But he scored too many low blows, many of which I took as personal offenses.

Thankfully, Tourmaline did what I could not.

Moving on...I'd been searching for a while, and on Valentine's day, also as sort of a very late Anniversary gift, I presented Slush with the key to our new home.

I have to say, it's not my ideal...Nor is it Slush's ideal. But we have very different tastes in homes, and this is about as close as we'll get to a compromise while still having room for our family.

It is nice, though, and Slush agrees. We took everyone to see it a week or so ago... Most of them liked it.

There was a bit of complaining about it being smaller than X's, some whining here and there about having to move at all, but now we're all packed and just starting to move things over, and everyone's all excited. I'll try and get a picture of it up soon.

Otherwise, things have been pretty much same old. I've taken off work for a week or two while we get settled.. X is letting us have a good bit of bedroom furniture and whatnot, but we still have to buy things for the rest of the house. Sofas, tables, etc. Slush and I are gonna go searching tomorrow.

Which means tomorrow will be a very long and very trying day.

I think I'll go to bed.

Spring time~! The weather was amazingly perfect, clear blue skies, bright sunlight. A beautiful spring day. And, having anticipated the good weather, Isto had taken the day off, tugged his bike out onto the lawn, and spent the majority of the morning working on it.

However, at present he had retreated to the shade of the garage for a break. Snatching up a rag, he wiped his hands clean and lifted a glass of water from where he had left it near the door, taking a long drink and peering back out towads the sunlight and his bike. Ahh... He really needed to take a break. Take the family on a trip. A vacation. Something... No time like the present, especially with the weather this nice.

...Maybe after he'd cleaned up the bike a bit more.

With his hair pulled back in a low pony tail, Slush, the SM in need of quite a haircut, had just checked up on all of the children and was now on the way to the garage. He had let his husband on his on for the morning because Slush knew just how much tinkering with that damned bike helped him.

But all peace and machinery had to come to an end at some point, and it was time.

Slush stepped around the front until he was leaning on the edge of the open garage door, arms crossing over his chest as he watched the metal armed man stare out into nothing. "You know... I'm kind of jealous of that hunk of metal... It's your first day off in how long and you've spent most of the day with it." Grinning, the magenta Skullmonkey pushed a loose hair out of his face, clearly not really upset by the whole matter.

At first, Isto seemed to have not heard his husband, taking another long drink and glancing down into the nearly empty cup, a frown briefly flashing across his face. However, hardly a moment passed before his eyes flickered upward to rest on Slush, a smile spreading across his lips. "S'only clicking now? The bike and I've been having an affair for ages."

He glanced fondly past towards the bike, then stepped to the magenta SM's side, looping his normal arm around his waist while the metal kept hold of the glass. "It's a nice day. I'd have thought the shorties would've abandoned the house hours ago."
PostPosted: Wed May 03, 2006 7:35 pm

Slush raised an eyebrow at the frown, but quickly noticed the empty glass and gave him a mock look of hurt at his comment. "Why Isto, I think I may have to send it to a junkyard if what you say is true!" He held his hand to his heart and gave a pained, dramatic sigh before leaning against Isto when he wrapped his arm around him.

"Well Tourma's out in the garden, surprisingly, and Cody is somewhere outside I think... Vi's watching the rest," he said, ticking off his fingers as he continued on, snaking an arm around his husband's waist in the mean time. "So you can stop your bike sex now."

"Lovely," he began, pouring the remaining ice cubs out on the ground. "When you're part man and part machine, you have to satisfy both ends." Grinning, he lazily flexed his right hand. He had become much more accustomed to the metal limb since marrying Slush; time heals all wounds and all that. And it did have its uses.

"Tourma's outside?" He quirked a brow, glancing out as if expecting to see the girl tampering with his bike--or who knew what else. Blinking, he glanced back down to Slush, pouting. "But I like bike sex." Stepping away from his husband, he took Slush by one hand, moving backwards, drew him towards the bike, raising a brow suggestively. "Or sex on a bike. Both are good."
