Kurimu awoke about two hours later. He stood, stretching, the sunlight making his eyes squint. After pulling on his jacket, slinging his bag over his shoulder and slipping on his large black sunglasses, he began to walk. Where was he going? Hell, he wasn't even sure if that map was even accurate, but he'd get somewhere. He needed to find a town soon to resupply or he'd have to result to hunting for food as his supply of just about, well, everything was running pretty low.

"How long are we going to keep running, Knights." Jean looked up at him as they lightly jogged through the long grass. She found it strange that he wasn't making more of an effort to go faster, despite his apparent need to delay meeting Vahn in the first place.
"Not much longer now...I'll make a stand...here." With that he stopped, and turned around. There was a harsh sound, and everything, grass and flowers mostly, flattened within a ten foot radius, leaving both figures highlighted by the growing dusk.
The tall man unbuckled his sheath and drove it into the ground in front of him, hand curling around the hilt with a comfortable familiarity. He was ready, he was cool...coat blowing in the breeze, stern look on his face... all up until the point Jean kicked him in the shin.
"O-OW ********, Jean...What the hell?" He scowled down at her.
"You said HIS name out loud, you dork!! How the hell are we gonna explain that? He's gonna know...he ALWAYS knows..."
"He doesn't always know Jean, he just guesses..." Knights winced as soon as the words came out of his mouth, and she kicked him again. "s**t!"
"He doesn't guess! He KNOWS, he's a GOD, jeeze...does omnipotence mean anything to you?!"
"Isn't that when you can't perfom in the bedroo-GAH! Stop kicking me, damnit...they're coming."
"I hope Dei-dei turns you into a dragon again...things were a lot more peaceful spirituality-wise." With a huff she went and sat on the outter circle, grumbling about religion. Knights remained where he was, favouring his now very bruised leg.

The Harley tore out of Latent, and down the road without stopping, leaving behind more than a few flustered civil workers and guards. Nothing but a trail of blackened flames could be seen behind the bike as Vahn focused on following the golden lead.
They must know.... must know where he is--!

"They've stopped."
Again Owle's voice would sound in Vahn's head, as she desperately tried not to think of how easily she could fall off, and how fast they were going, and how easily Vahn could crash into someone.
She didn't know what they were doing, but they hadn't been moving away for a while. It didn't look like they meant to. Owle sighed gratefully to herself, Thank the gods. It's almost over.

Right when Jean and Knights had arrived Latent's gate, a single magpie could be seen landing on a nearby building, flicking its tail feathers up and down as if it was fighting against imbalance. After those two got over and past the gate, the bird hopped around for a moment, hacking the rim of a gutter, before it flew out of the town, following the strange couple...
At the plains, the magpie directly landed in a tiny bush, around sixty feet away from Knights and Jean.

"Knights?"
"Yes Jean..."
"Relax, you look too stiff..."
"Look, are you gonna yell at me all through this...I mean, I'll give you the tape and YOU can do it if you like."
"Really?!"
"...No."

"... Dammit--!"
He was already past the city limits and heading into the more rural surroundings--- it could have been worse he supposed. At least they weren't heading for the forest.
The harley would come to a sliding halt once he actually caught sight of the two, but the engine continued running.

They had...stopped moving.
Thank the gods and all the powers that this ride is over. Thank you.
Owle slowly, slowly opened her eyes. She took a few deep, calming breaths, then turned to regard their two...pursu-ees?
Vahn would see, now that the two were in sight, that the golden lines he had been following were in fact the bodies of two dim golden snakes, winding their way through the air. They seemed bored, now, lazily circling Knights and Jean, occasionally letting their tongues taste the air. When they caught sight of Vahn, though, the black voids where their eyes ought to be regarded him steadily, almost...lustfully?
And then they were gone, reeled back like so much fishing line, comically flopping in the air until they vanished back into Owle where they belonged.
I hope he didn't notice that...
"Vahn?" Her voice was small, timid almost. If Vahn hadn't noticed how tightly she'd been gripping him, or the fact that she winced every time they passed something, well...he would probably still be oblivious to her discomfort, especially with his quarry right before him.
"...is it safe to get off now?"

"Tch..." Knights stared at the two from behind his sheath....it was easily four feet long, coming up to one hip, Vahns chest probably still ached a little from where the end plowed into it.
"What kind of man hunts down two pedestrians with a motorcycle, eh? Maybe you're just as much of a coward as I've heard, Kyonuske..." He looked to the clutching girl. "And a womanizer besides...freaking brilliant."
He actually turned his back on both, green coat spinning, and looked at Jean. Unsurprisingly, however, keeping a firm grip on the hilt of his sword. "Our gods have gone senile with old age, Jean. Lets go home."
"You know we're stuck, Knights...least til one of them pick us up...and Su-...he kinda made sure that'd take a while."
A vein stood out on Knights forehead. "I was being sarchastic, Jean...must you always kick the chair out from under me?!"
"Only when it gets too high, Knights." Was the smug reply.

"Yea...it's safe."
He got off the Harley with one smooth motion, both feet touching the ground, before he started walking towards the two strangers. "But stay here."
Yellowed eyes narrowed, as he made his way forward, running a hand through his hair.

Owle slid off the bike, looking a little wobbly. "I won't get in your way..." She said it, but she didn't stay still. No, rather, she waited until Vahn had a good head start on her, then started walking to her (left or right, whichever side Jean is standing on.) She wanted to give Knights a wide berth, but the girl seemed a little less combative. Maybe she could get some answers.

Knights noticed both peoples movements and scowled not taking his eyes from the advancing man. "O-Oi! Where do you think you're...damnit Jean, you'd better not start making friends!" His knuckles tightened but his overall position remained the same.
"You got the look of a man searching for something beyond him," A smirk played around Knights lips, though the emotion never reached those strange green eyes.
"You look like your brother."

Right when Owle left the Harley, the magpie rose from the bush to glide over to the bike, drawing drunken waves in the air until it landed on the handlebars, seemingly watching the scene unfolding.

((I'm guessing this bird's mind would register as a little bit odd for a bird?))
Owle gave the bird a look. Being a shapeshifter who could turn into a small bird herself, and never knowing birds to fly quite that close to humans, she was somewhat suspicious of the creature. Still, it wasn't doing any harm, so she let it be for now.
"What?" she shouted back at Knights, indignant. "I just had the most harrowing ride on a motorcycle EVER! I need to stretch my legs!" She shook her head. "I have no intention of fighting you, so don't worry!"
She didn't stop moving though...even going so far as to start pacing back and forth when she was right across from Jean. Mostly, she regarded the other girl curiously, though she kept glancing at Knights and Vahn. Waiting.
