I find mpreg to be distasteful, but I will admit that I have read one good fanfic involving it. They had the biological reasoning behind it planned out. I lost interest about the time Duo Maxwell went into labour, but the first thirty-something chapters were wonderful. I suppose it depends really on the writer, and the eye of the beholder... it's just a shame that the majority of 99.99% of the people who write mpreg for my fandoms are awful authors. sweatdrop

yuyu-chan i think the author is just trying to creative, and try a new approch. i read a akuma GW Mpreg, that's was good, until the part where she make Heero a bit to girly.......but good story never the less. but i did see a new on a man go pregnant, and it look....i don't want to talk about it, but the man did got pregnant. Do you mean there was a news report about it?

Recently, I was reading an article on womb transplants. The idea behind it was that a woman who is infertile or born without her own womb (it does happen occasionally) could get a transplant from someone else. That someone would usually be her mother for compatibility reasons. Anyway, As transplant technology advances, this is getting closer to reality. A few transplants have been done I think. I'm not sure if any have carried out a pregnancy. The receiver of the womb has to be on anti-rejection drugs for life.
Anyway, the article suggested that a womb transplant for men can only be around the corner. That would be really interesting to see for sure. Brings up a few other issues of course, like the unsuitability of the male body for birthing, the necessity of a c-section, the requirement of hormones that the male body can't provide. Still, the fact that it could be possible one day is pretty exciting don't you think?

Some of the best fanfics i've read have mpreg. I love it seeing the guy adapt to the hormones. Really cute. At least to me.

Mpreg is really weird and 99% of the ones I've read have been really bad. Oh well, to each his own.

It depends on the writing. Also the characters and a semi-possablity. If it just two men doing it no.

I myself find m-preg slightly unnatural, but that's all my friends can talk about is "what if this character or that character got pregnant?" and there ALL MEN! It made me shudder at first, but I began to tolerate it after a while. I've never read or seen anything involving m-preg, though sweatdrop

Personally, I like mpreg as long as the author puts a reason to support how the guy got pregnant int he story. Not just a, 'Oh, he got pregnant and it's normal . . . etc'. If the author isn't going to come up with a reason as to how the guy got pregnant then I tend to not read the story. I've read a few really good mpreg stories, but they also had reasonable-ish backgrounds as to how the pregnancy happened.

mpreg seriously skeeves me out. I don't get it. if you really want someone to be pregnant, why not write yuri or het?
Ugh. especially in the Inu Yasha fandom it's bizzarely popular. and okay, here's what I don't get. it's always Sess/Inu. so not only is it mpreg, it's incest mpreg. Uh. come on guys :/ just say no to mutant demonbabies!

Actually, I, at first, found Mpreg very odd. of course it's impossible, but who knows with technology these days. But after reading two fanfics with Mpreg, I found it almost...endearing. One was with FMA, which is excellent. It was described very well how Edward got pregnant, and there isn't much lovey dovey stuff. Not yet anyways. I have to finish it. >_O'' It's a pretty angsty fanfic. Can you guess who the 'father' is? XD; Poor Roy. =/ And it wasn't really in a romantic sort of way that it all occurred. And I usually see Roy as like, a father figure for Edward. Not as a lover.
And another is with Gravitation, although I don't think how it happened was explained. But, it was hilarious in my opinion. I just loved how Yuki's personality was altered because of all his mood swings. Okay, not altered fully, but the mood swings just made it great for Yuki. And the cravings. XD Needless to say, some can be amusing, and in this case it falls into the category of: If it is well written.
I have an open mind about things. If it's good though, I'll like it, no matter how strange it may be. In this case, males getting pregnant in stories.

I don't like it because it's impossible for a guy to be pregnant; and bending the laws of nature can be fine, but not THAT much

If it's well written with good plotline. Come'on, it's yaoi fanfiction. XD It wouldn't be yaoi fanfiction if it was plausible.

I really hate mpreg. I always expect the stories to go into detail about WHY the uke has some sort of uterus, but it never does and then I'm left questioning. There's something about pregnant men that just creeps the hell out of me. *shivers*
