Hallas looked around suddenly as she was taken away. "W, wait, I..." she trailed off, deciding against speaking. It was better this way. At least she could die with dignity and not struggle against the inevitable.
Peilei sighed with a sad smile "Forgive me, nevermind it, I do not need a direct audience, I simply needed to directly contact you. My position does not allow me to get directly involved but.....please, do something with our country. I am tired of seeing all of the deaths caused by meaningless battles set up by that psycho tranny with a maid fetish. He has the Trans Gate in the Megaplex, and I am afraid he may be planning on using it to perform some sort of genocide. I am powerless against him, and if I rise up against him now, I too will not be able to protect those that I love. I am sending over a small information pod, and also I am sending a fake one to be shot at as well to divert attention from his spies. You will find data on the layout of the inside of the megaplex, where possible infiltration points are located, and where the reactor and everything is located. And one more thing, could you please destroy this ship after you recieve the pod? I am evacuating right now, it also will serve to divert the attention of possible spies.
Nuba did not look at Hallas, but instead replied to the emperor mentally "Yes, Master, that is your late sister's daughter. I have raised her to be a fine soldier with good morals, but unfortunately, she does not seem to have inherited any of your mother's or your sister's abilities as far as psychically."

"Do you have any requests for the rest of your forces? Shall we send them down too?" he turned to Nuba. "Why are they using such old technology? A pod? Do you know how easy that would be to destroy?"

Peilei smiled gently "I appreciate your concern, but that will not be neccessary. I thank you for at least hearing me out. I must go now, lest I become a casualty when this ship is destroyed" The comm window closed
"Normally they would not be used, but my theory is, that she is using it to lower suspicions and create a ruse; if a spy of Celsus were to see the pods, they would pass it off as a trojan horse, a way to get something malacious into your ship that would go off when opened. However, I can vouch for Miss Peilei's honesty, and her reliability to the Arrangement, Celsus would have found and crushed us ages ago if she hadn't been our inside informant. I am worried for her safety though, despite her precautions, she is still risking her neck as well as her honor to aid her supposed 'enemy'"
Hallas did not pay much attention to her breifing on her execution. Her mind was still bugged about Shlag; she didn't quite know why herself, but she seemed to care abotu Shlag, despite the fact she was the enemy. She was also worried about Shadow and Jinzo, and she felt responsible for getting them in this situation.

Shadow and Jinzo just remained quite, their faces showing little about what was playing out in both their minds. 'I wonder if the others made it out of the capital alright. It's been awhile since we were sepperated, I just hope they haven't gotten themselves into too much trouble.'

The doors to the cell block where Shadow and Jinzo waited slid open. A tall man standing six foot five, walked through them tailed by two Imperial Guard Shock Troopers. He was dressed extravagantly, like a European noble from the middle ages. His belt held his bolter pistol on the left and his chainsword on the right. The new guard opened the cell doors with Shadow and Jinzo. The Shock Troopers went in and grabbed Shadow and hauled him to his feet after restraining him and Jinzo. The man lead them into another room. The Shock Troopers threw Shadow into a metallic chair and strapped him down to it. The connected several electrodes all over his body. The man sat down across a table from him. On the table there were several papers and a button covered by a glass cover. Two more people walked into the room. They were clad in silver space marine armor. One carried a mace, the other a sword. Each brimmed with visible psychic energy. They stood to either side of the man. "I am the Inquisitor General and would like to welcome you the the pain and suffering of your interrogation." The inquisition was a chapter of the Imperial military that consisted of both the Imperial guard and the Space Marines. Their fearsome reputation for their brutal tactics preceded them. Their chapter alone wiped out two nations entire population at the beginning of this war. And from there they only got more and more brutal.

Shadow said nothing and put up no resistance; it sure wasn't the first time he'd been tortured nor interrogated, but this was the first time he was nervous about it. "What exactly do you want to know?"

"I would first like to welcome you to our ship." He looked a Shadow and a flood of images entered Shadow's head cutting off his vision and inducing extreme mental agony. Images of the death and destruction of everything and everyone he loved. While Shadow was undergoing the images he opened the case covering the button ad rested his fingers on it. "First, your name and rank." His voice cut through the images.
Shlag awoke from the anesthesia several hours after her surgery. The nurse in the recovery room pressed a button. After a few minutes the medical officer stepped into the room with a chart. "Commander Malodia, Shlag. You awake?" "Yes..." She nodded. Her hips and groin hurt. "You were raped several hours ago. You have under gone hymen reconstructive surgery. The mods in your brain should eliminate all mental trauma of the event. The offenders were killed. Your hips will be sore for a while. But you'll be fine. Since the radiation of the battlefield has made you sterile theres no need to worry about pregnancy. The Emperor has summoned you. I have informed him of what has happened. Once you're ready you are to go to the flagship. We're docked for several days." She nodded and rested her head on the pillow.

Hallas entered her cell without struggle, and sat there. She had had this feeling tugging in the back of her mind since she had seen the Emperor, and she was beginning to feel dizzy. Her visionw as swimming, and then a flood of images cut off her vision, as she saw images of death and destruction. If it had not been for her heightened mental state, she perhaps would have fainted from the mental stress, but instead, she just clutched her temples, grunting and groaning "Stop it...stop it now!"
Nuba looked to the Emperor "Master, if it is alright with you, I would like to go see Shlag. I am the one at fault for what she has been through, and I would like to apologize to her personally."

"So you're military but you have no rank? I find that quite odd." He pressed the button down hard, sending several hundred volts of electricity through him. Enough to cause excruciating pain, but not kill him. "Your rank please." He released the button so Shadow could talk.

Hallas was on the floor twitching as she gripped her head. She felt the pain of the electricity, and she felt like she was going to throw up. She had no idea what all was goign on, but it wasn't pleasant.
Nuba did not react "Forgive me Master, I understand" He knew that he was not trusted, as he had been under enemy territory since he hasd first arrived in this time, and though he knew the emeperor was smart enough to know he spoke the truth it would be bad for his reputation as well as risky to his position, to simply allow Nuba to have such freedoms just after accepting his servitude.
