1) I believe that is the best way to go, no matter how cliche. Or perhaps we could do the Kiyoshi thing, where they invade and a war occurs then one leader just dies (accident or not) tensions run high then *boom* war starts.

2) I think that the troops should be lead in a hierarchy, for example I would control people of 6 and below, while Komm would control people of my level.

What are the normal NPC rules?

3) I think that we should make a LONG post first of all that explains in detail everything that happened. The first thread in the war forum should be about how it started. maybe make a sticky of it.

1.A. I had the whole Assasination idea with a group of fire nation extermeists launching an assisnation attempt on the heads of the four air temples, the two water tribes, and the earth king in an attmpt to restore the Fire Nation to it's pre Avatar Aang power.

1.B Earth Kings seem to be a rather Power Hungry/Ignorant lot so perhaps they've decided that they want lands that where never returned to them during the war and attack.

1.C Illumanati. I was toying with the idea that Aang had written four scrolls pertaining to each of the bending arts. Obtaining these scrolls would give the user a difinitive knowledge of how to bend.

That sounds really cool, but I think it should also have it's drawbacks, at least for comanders, and captains. Perhaps we could have groups of users form there own squads, for instance Yoko Jing, and Milo could form and act as an independent sect similar to Jet's band.

Where as the actuall armies could operate on a more militant standard. Captains would have to pledge aleigence to a commander who would have to pledge aleigence to Warlords

Commander's could cancel a captains attack and order them to withdraw from the thread.

Warlords could do the same for commanders and captains,.

If the captain or commander refuses to obey their orders they lose aid of siege weapons.



That would add a whole new dimension to combat, and open up a little biut more backstory possibillities.

Since all the weapons seen in the mechanist are now in widespread use have been tweaked to side more with each element an earth tank would retain it's metal frame but would utilize the ground they ide across to increase their speed or add extra protection.

THe bridges used in the siege of Omashu could also work on similar principils.
THe would just be plain awsome, and would really give a reason for users to battle. It would also add a lot more stratagy, for instance if most of the earrth king's cities were taken Ba Sing Se would become over populated, and if the earth king attacks a city in the fire nation he would have to move soilders out of ba sing se or other cities.

Here are some ideas I would like to place on the table that are totally unrelated to the qouted ideas

Thought 1: Perhaps crops could be used as well, after all cabbages could cause damage to ba sing se, and other crops could have affects on the other nations. for instance the egg gas from the mechanist could be fed to the polar leapords which would cause a suddedn shortage in the south pole's food supply.

2. Use a dice roll system to detemine which city each country attacks.

I agree with Jeff, they all seem like good ideas. Especially the Siege Weapons. xD

This is taking a very long time. I vote for idea 1.A it's great and it fits into the story so far. Also, it makes it harder for anyone to really be blamed if the Fire Lord doesn't give the order or has no knowledge on the event until it happens. . .

By the way, who's the Fire Lord? Or has anyone really asked to be it him/her yet?

Alright, let's say that Jeff's Fire Lord is sick. So sick, in fact, that he needs another person to act in his stead! His Second In Command (enter Fulgar) would do perfectly for this occasion. Fulgar could act as Fire Lord until Jeff gets better. As for his sickness, it could deal with something where his Chi is blocked and the fire for his bending is getting stuck inside of him or something similar to this. Eventually, someone finds the cure (when he has enough followers and when he's at the appropriate level) and he regains his throne.
