IF it did you couldn't kill me anyway because I have to finish the story.
Who knows what could happen?
The only way you'd have grounds to kill me is if I finished the story, with no hope for a sequel, and Everan was still dead.
Don't see how he could come back to life, but anything's possible I guess.
