"Just since you passed by that tree over there," she flicked her head back to a tree not too far off. Where Kimacho was probably watching her now, and either laughing or looking disgusted. She'd so be hearing this from him later.
"I wasn't after a meal or nothing!" her tail was curled about her feet, but since the lion cub hadn't pounced her right out, Damasi's cheerful nature was starting to be more prevalent again. After all, the other cub didn't seem too mad at her.
"I was just wondering what you guys were doing out here. Gets sorta dull out here sometimes, and usually all I ever see are the big lions." And those were scary and she wouldn't leave her perch in a million years with one of them around. Not even for fresh antelope.

"Be sweet, miss Binti..." he reminds her, licking his maw again with a little grin. "She's only a cub... she can't do anythjing to us." He's certainly confident, but one has to wonder, how much contact with other felines has he had? He refuses to leave the food, but he does take a step towards them. "Come back and eat, Binti, or else I might eat it all..."

Breaking off her stare at the leopard cub to snarl at Essi, Binti's eyes narrowed. "We're cubs as well, you arrogant...lion!" she hissed. "And if you eat that entire thing...I'll take the difference out of your hide." she said, turning back to Damasi. "We both ended up here--we arrived separately, and I mistook this one," she began, making a vague motion in Essi's direction "For food. He wasn't being particularly quiet, and I wasn't expecting to find lions around here." she finished, taking in the details of the other cub with attentive eyes. "Not to be rude...but, although your kind don't live in prides, like most of ours...you're not just trying to distract us while your mother sneaks up and then moves in to steal our kill, are you?" she said, the thought coming to her out've nowhere. Of course, she was still better than she had been--obviously Essi's good nature was contagious, at least to a degree.
((Paranoid little critter...never think, Binti...NEVER!... xd .))

Out of respect of the fact that the lioness cub was taking her standing there too seriously, Damasi held back from giggling. No wonder lions stuck around in groups! They were afraid of everyone else stealing their food. Of course, they did eat on the ground, and a lot more things their size lived on the ground, so maybe that was why.
"Nah, there's nobody here except me." she wrinkled her nose and then giggled,"Besides, I think your buddy over there already made short work of most the good stuff anyway."

Essien smiles over at the other cat before eating a little. She hgot things very quickly! "You should act more like her, miss Binti," he says playfully, just teasing her a bit. He knows she won't like that! "She knows good eating habits when she sees them!" He's just... so detached from real life, it's almost sad.

Disliking being mocked, as she saw it, Binti lifted her lip contemptuously. "It never hurts to be cautious." she snarled, padding back over to the kill. Essi had, indeed, eaten most've the good parts. Swatting at him in irritation, She used her shoulder to push him slightly to the side, and staking a claim on one of the hindlegs, virtually untouched by his voracious appetite. heart .((and now, I have to poof ToT heart but, this was funnnn! biggrin ))

Damasi smiled widely before sitting down where she stood, licking one paw to start licking it clean and pick out a couple of burrs caught between her toes. These guys weren't too bad! When they were little and... had just eaten. Other than that they weren't too bad. Suddenly a mouse skittering through the grass caught her eye. Well, she wasn't hungry, but stalking a little rodent was fun! She crouched down, eyes focused on the tiny creature as she stalked through the grasses for her own amusement.

Kivuli yawned again and was about to settle down for a nap when she noticed a panther cub crouched down in the grass. She craned her neck to try and see what the cub had found, but she still couldn't see. The young lioness finally stood and quietly trotted over to where the panther was.
"Whatcha stalking?" she whispered, not wanting to scare away the cub's prey.

Merry sprinted into the Southlands, panting heavily. Lions just weren't meant for long-distance runs from crazy babboons. Especially crazy babboons who wrapped him in.... all this nonsense. He shook his head, and began to wiggle, trying to work himself out of the clothes forced on him by the babboons.

Damasi let one ear c**k back to the other cub, eyes looking at the little rodent with mischievous glee. Finally, giving a flying leap, she pounced on the creature, not really meaning to eat it. Just play really, which she exaggerated by carrying the prize around in her mouth. Course, she could always do with a snack too.
"Lookit! 'S a mouse!" she bragged to herself, quite pleased. Wow, there sure were a lot of lions around here. Did they just all decide to start moving in or what? At this rate she'd be sticking out like a sore paw.

Kivuli tilted head head to one side and watched as the panther played with the mouse. Her attention was soon caught by yet another newcomer to the Southlands...
A most intriguing looking cub who was wearing the strangest materials. She watched for a moment as he tried to wiggle free. "Do you need help?"

Damasi stopped what she was doing also and blinked, looking at the new lion curiously. Geez, these guys came in all sorts of colors and looks. Downright confusing even. Dropping her 'toy' out of lack of interest [short attention span for play, that one], she gave the new guy an intrigued look.
"What's all that weird stuff on you?" No offering of help, she just wanted him to answer her curious questions.

Merry wiggled harder. "Dunno, bunch of crazy babboons did it. And I would appreciate some help, but I really have nothing to offer in exchange for it."

Kivuli's ears perked forward as she trotted up to the cub. "It's no problem really." She batted at the clothing with a paw, but nothing happened.
