Perthro burst inside, sending one of the men in the hall flying into the room. The partially open door exploded, sending match wood flying about. His sword flashed as he roared in anger, the sound of a Dragon in bloodlust. He chopped straight through one of the men, and his sword, and the pillar behind him. He started after the others, killing each within a few strokes.
Sigilos bound in after him, his sword drawn. He saw Perthro rampaging about, and then saw Amara in the corner, the babe behind her. He ran his sword through the man she was fighting, and grabed Amara's hand with his own free one, blood still on his.
*Quickly! Grab the babe, we need to go! Perthro can handle this, even I can't stop him now, but I saw more men coming along the street!*
He looked urgently at her.

Terk got caught on the street as soldiers and town gaurds ran towards her. "Out of the way," one yelled. "There's a dragon in that building."
"Really?" Terk drew her swords. "I think you better think again." Runnig towards them, she met the gaurds head on, driving her blade into the closest one.

Amara grabbed Kithra and grabbed ahold of Sigilos' hand! *Are you sure we can leave him?* He nodded and killed another one so they could get through! He ran them out and down the hall! Outside he walked her to the edge of the woods and watched Terk kill a guard. He pushed her slightly forward to keep Amara moving! They bunkered down in the woods, and he looked at her.
*I'll stay with you and Kithra for protection so you can take care of her.*

Sigilos peered about the woods, taking his bearings. He started off, deeper into the woods. As he walked, he spoke reproachfully to Amara.
*I don't know why you didn't stay with the rest of us, it would have been safer. Now, Perthro is in bloodlust, Terk is fighting gods know how many of the town milita, and I have no idea where Gattin and Shela are.*
A tone of worry in his voice showed he was simply venting steam.
*I'll send Perthro a thought after he's done and sane again, let him know we're okay. Your lucky, he's been worse then that before. I told you guys before, I've had to really hold him down sometimes. You should see the last time he went almost into full bloodlust. I had to Shift myself alot, and the land is still burnt from his fire.*
He sighed, and kept his hand in Amara's, walking still deeper into the woods.

Amara held Kithra close, but felt the conection with Sigilos. She looked at their hands and smiled. It was strange, she hated affection and love. It was pointless, but this was pure emotion. She squeezed his hand a little tighter, adn spoke quietly,
" I knew they would come. Kithra is the last of my clan, and they want us both dead. They have hunted me since I left, and I wander to stay just one step ahead. I was in that town too long, it allowed them to catch up. I never should have stayed. I'm sorry, I never meant to put any of you in danger, but Kithra must be protected. I would ask you for your help, if you are willing?"

The back of Sigilos neck turned red, and he answered, squeezing gently back.
*Of course I will help.*
He stopped walking, and made a sheathing motion with his sword, sending it back where it came from. He pulled aside some vines with his open hand, and revealed a cave.
*I have a good knack for finding these. No one will find us here, unless they have Perthro. He can find me, but I already sent him a thought. The fighting stopped, and they left the inn before they where seen. Their staying at anouther inn, near the center of town.*
He smiled at Amara.
*So what do think? It's dry, warm, and easy to guard. A good place to raise that little one?*
Perthro looked up at Terk from the table in the inn bar room.

*It sounds good to me! She wil begin to transform into a human soon. We will have to teach her to control it before we can take her out in public. She is strong this little one, she is already using magic. But I'm sure you were thinking of more than just Kithra when you brought us here?* She smiled and raised an eyebrow. She felt her face go hot red, and looked down at the ground so he wouldn't see.

Sigilos coughed in surprise. This had not been what he intended. He brought Amara's hand to his lips, kissing the back of her hand. He spoke in a very soft voice.
*I did not mean to offend you in any way, Milady. Please, forgive me if I have.*
He smiled playfully, still a little akward.
*Perhaps you would rather I slept outside tonight? I can build a small fire for you and the little one before I do, it might get cold tonight.*

*You have not affended me at all. And I FORBID you to sleep outside, it is much to cold! You shall sleep in here with Kithra and I . And this isn't about intents at the moment...* Amara looked away, toward kithra.

*As you wish. And as a matter of fact, I did come here for more then Kithra.*
He smiled and looked away, slightly red.
*I also came for you.*
He quickly dissapered in to the cave, lighting a fire with a flick of his hand and clearing some dust from the floor, trying to hide his embaressment by cleaning up a bit.

Amara knew Sigilos was blushing, because she was too! She stood adn took Kithra near to the fire to stay warm. Sigilos moved about the cave cleaning up as much as possible. Amara looked at the ground and snapped her fingers. Two blankets showed. Amara wrapped Kithra in one nad spread the other on the ground. * Sigilos, stop that and come and sit down!*

Sigilos sat on the blanket, wondering why he was so nervous. He liked Amara, so what was the big deal? He thought to himself, ^*The big deal? The big deal is you are alone, in the woods, in a cave just big enough to hold you both comfortably, with the female you are attracted to. Duh.*^

Amara inched alittle closer to Sigilos and put her head on his shoulder. She stared into the fire and watched the flames jump. Kithra lay batting at a light orb she created and talking away as baby dragons do!

Sigilos felt his heart beat harder, felt Amara's head on his shoulder. He slid his arm around Amara's back, his hand coming to rest on her belly. He could feel the pulse of life under her skin, her heart beat almost as quick as his. He looked down at her, seeing her watching the flames. He slid his other hand across her belly, threading his fingers together and enjoying the feel of Amara in his arms. He grinned down at her, lost in the blissful moment.

It was a blissful moment for them both. Amara felt as though she was being protected for the first time in her life, instead of having to do the protecting. Her heart was racing, and she figured his was too. She moved her arm around and slid it across his stomach. She glanced up at him, and saw that he was looking down at her. She knew what was coming next, but she wasn't about to rush it.
