Whatever was happening, it seemed the ogre was, distrustful, of this Odilen. His eyes watched her, and her familiar, like a hawk, circling, waiting for, something. His arms folded up, and one rested on his shoulder, quite close to the large, heavy, painful looking war club he had on his back. His eyes locked onto her head, and there was the distinct feeling he was wondering what would happen, if that club impacted with it. "You... Fasali... follow.." he spoke, perhaps asking a question, perhaps stating a fact, it was hard to tell with his low, rough, gravely voice, and his unfamiliar accent.
Lilith meanwhile, was ignoring the tension from her partner, too wraped up in the mock battle. Quickly she turn and pounced, aiming for the mid air tackle pounce strike glomp, looking almost like a missile, a fiery red missile, as it leapt for BoCo, a nice, wide grin on her face.

"Wark!" BoCo retaliated with a kick, something far less powerful than what a fully-grown chocobo could muster, but definitely hard enough for play-fighting. "Wark! Wark!"
"Fasali?" Odilen's forehead wrinkled in thought. "Is that the woman's name, who stole that crystal?"

Lilith was knocked off course by the kick, landing her her feet, she immediately turned and leaped again at the Chocobo, determined to pounce tackle it down to the ground and mess it up, all in good, nice, rough play, of course...
Junkan's eyes narrowed a little more, though it seemed he was put off, his ire replaced for the moment by simple confusion, his train of thought broken by the answer the woman had given him. Slowly he shook his head, then quicker still, literally shaking off his confusion and distraction. He looked over towards the bird, then back up to James, wondering, if perhaps, he had misread the vision...
"Who... stole.. that... crystal?" he asked, slowly micmicking her words back to her. Indeed, it seemed he had no clue what this quest was about. And that would quite possibly be due to the fact that he was the only one that slept through the whole escapade back at the temple, as the asute, and observant bard type should have remembered...
Finally James stepped up, this was pointless... "Don't we have a job to do? Why don't one of you hand over that letter, so I can see whatever this crest is we're supposed to be looking for. I for one, would rather deal with the woman that is either trying to get away, or most likely, trying to figure a way to cover her tracks, than watch this farce anymore..."

((Sorry, you guys. I was kind of waiting on Vashtya to get around to posting... but I suppose she's been busy. ^^; ))
Ourania sniffed tearfully, finally managing to bring herself under control. "Fiore... she's gone. I don't really understand what happened, but a rift opened up in the cafe and she was taken..."
The summoner wiped her eyes with the back of one hand, biting her bottom lip as she watched the two spirited familiars, comparing them to her own downtrodden Basape. The moomba lay limp in her arms, giving the occasional miserable coo while his paws were curled up around his muzzle in defeat.
At James' demanding statements, Ourania nodded, eyes cast down. "Yes... we do... but..."

The fur on Quinn's tail began to frizzle as Oura explained what happened to Fiore. "WE HAVE TO FIND HER... AND THE OTHER LADY... stupid stealing fiends..." Her yelling broke into mumbling as she twisted the end of her tail into a sad, squished mess.
Looking to the others, she inquired, "What do you think we should do? Should we go after the crystal or should we try to get Fiore back?"

James stepped forward, "Both... Look, there are six of us here ((Or more, sorry if I counted wrong...)). Give me the letter, I'll start looking for this emblem and tracking down the woman. The four of you should spread out and start looking for this missing person. It only makes sense, I've never seen this missing person, I can't help with the search, but if you hand over the letter, let me study the emblem of this noble, I can find it."
"That big, stupid pile of muscle will come with me. Does anyone have any objections?" he asked, looking over the group. Of course it was the only logical course of action he could see, so he really didn't expect anyone to disagree.

After a boat ride that seemed to take forever, then a long walk back from the harbour, Zayn and Fire finally arrived in Durem. Flashing his companion a reassuring smile, Zayn said, "Well, we made good time at least."
Looking around the entrance of the town, Zayn compared it to his map. Sadly the map didn't list the location of the Regalias or the Wizard's Conclave. "I guess we're asking for directions, then," he sighed.
Giving Fire a quick wink, Zayn walked up to a figure that didn't seem to be hurrying anywhere, just standing around. "Excuse me," he fluffed up his feathers to look as alien and possibly-important as possible. "My friend and I are in town for a special event, only we're not sure where it's being held. Have you heard of such a thing involving the Regalias or the Wizard's Conclave?"

There was very little in the way of disturbance in the daily life of the citizens of Durem, they continued to persist in thir idle 'games' in the form of shopping and socialising on street corners. All forms of oddity were well known for passing through these regions and thus, it was no surprise that few reacted to the large blue airship sweeping silently over their heads and towards the infamous Conclave in the distance.
The airship itself, was built in the exact same form as the Regalia...granted the colour was of a difference and it was smaller but the same crest still lingered on its side - the same crest that also lurked on the letter discovered by Quinny not so long ago.
Nevertheless, it continued on its way unpreturbed by those below...seemingly coming to a halt over the large and oddly constructed conclave - that done, it appeared to very slowly descend until it was 'perched' upon the very roof of the construction, the massive conclave structure barely shuddering under the apparent weight in which the beast of a machine possessed.
"Looks like the Head Mages are back." Mused one merchant as he gazed up towards the large airship, "Something serious must be on the cards."

The now-familiar noise of an airship caused Zayn to look up. "Another one?" he blinked. It wasn't the same as the one that had visited the Temple and then shown up at the Retreat. He made a face. "Too bad we couldn't have gotten a lift and saved ourselves the walk."
Checking to make sure Fire was following him, Zayn moved quickly down the street, aiming for the location of the airship. As he drew closer, he slowed somewhat, studying what must surely be the Conclave.
"Now, how to get in?"

The building itself was an odd one indeed, as opposed to having sturdy foundations beneath it's feet it appeared to be balanced on a number of rather monstrous pillars. They were not ugly, on the contrary they were very beautifully carved and decorated however their size was often a subject of fascination for these pillars seemed to reach down into the depths below and vanish into nothingness.
Needless to say, the conclave itself seemed to suspend itself above a rather large hole where few ventured. It's white walls appeared to be rounded into an oval like shape, this was what appeared to be the outer wall and contained innumerable windows - every now and then a robed figure or set of figures could even be seen bustling around in the rooms inside!
Still, despite the beauty of the exterior walls it was obvious that there was another wall and another structure within that was hidden to the eyes outside, it seemed that even the airship seemed to perch itself upon the very tip of said building, casting a daunting shadow of its own across the expansive territory - an impressive sight no doubt.
However, there was a slight problem as there appeared to be no bridge nor any indication of a way to activate one in order to get across. There appeared to be no gate guards, no beasts that patrolled the area to ensure it remained secure...it was as though magic had been harnessed to do that instead so the question still remained, how on earth were they supposed to find a way in?!
Perhaps there was a secret entry through a noble household or through underground pathways?

Zayn scowled and puffed up in irritation. This was so stressful it was a wonder he wasn't moulting! Actually, it was good that he wasn't. The would be the icing on a very bad cake.
"Okay, so no way in from here," he muttered to himself. "Mages probably have magic to get in and out. People with an airship can get in and out. What 'normal' people would need to get in...?"
Hadn't the Professor said...? Of course! "HA!" Zayn punched the air in triumph. "Since the Regalias and the Conclave have such close ties, they'd have to have a way to get in and out when they wanted. Nobles wouldn't let the mages be the ones calling all the shots."
Now to just find the manor... Catching the sleeve of someone passing by, Zayn said, "I'm sorry, can you tell me where to find Regalia Manor?"

"The what?" The passerby replied, evidently confused by the question as though the identity of such a family was unknown to them, "There isn't any Regalia manor around here that I know of...either that or it be one of the family lines that died out a while ago - their deadened manners are usually in the Northeast area but I'd avoid that...thief terriroty." He warned at last, wagging a finger from side to side before continuing to walk on, bags in hand.
What an odd thing to be unaware of a family that had enough money to pilot a fleet of airships and perhaps even more! Nevertheless, no one in the city would know who the Regalia family were and he would soon find that if he continued to ask...some advised going to the library while others simply made no suggestions.
There was really only two things he could do...take their advise or try to find a place where travellers such as scholars and vagabonds resided, they often knew everything.

While something of a thief himself, Zayn wasn't sure if he would match up against professionals. Although on the other hand, he didn't have anything for them to steal, other than his clothes and an old map... Unless thieves also meant cutthroats. Zayn blanched. He didn't feel like ending up dead over nothing when he was this close.
With a different series of questions in mind, Zayn tried again with residents. "Do you know where I could find scholars or historians?"

"The library probably." Offered one woman as she hurried passed with her child, evidently more concerned with her shopping than with answering the young boy's question. Nevertheless, he was lucky in the form of the merchant who had been observing his persistant attempts to gain answers from the otherwise uncaring people - it wasn't their fault but as of late society had fallen into a state of decadence and few were ever concerned with another in trouble.
"Usually, scholars would tend to head to the taverns in the North eastern area...the ale is cheap there and they can hear better stories from the vagabonds and odd-bodies seeking refuge in that area." He called out to Zayn, offering a warm smile as he rearranged the goods on his stall and glanced at one of his customers expectantly.
It seemed society was still divided through class structure as well...
