Chaos simply sat his Shegen open and searching. He didn't need a great amount of food and would eat a little bit soon as well as drink...he wasn't foolish enough to carry no provisions with him. He hardly seemed to be breathing and kept under the Sakura blossom searching for her...he would find this...Yumi...and soon.

Yumi could not help to get impatient, time passed by... slowly. She discussed with the pair living in the house and catched up on things she'd missed while training in the mountains. They both were secretly a part of the shinsengumi too. Not that they did anything actively, they just supported the shinsengumi and therefore they had allowed them to use their house. The man in the house worked as a secretary for one of the richest mans in Osaka. The wife usually stayed at home... and during these long hours Yumi learned a lot about her. About her family, about her relationship with her husband, about what food she liked the most, about what store she usually bought her food from... all of this quite useless information, but Yumi liked hearing the woman talk, even if it was about the most unimportant things.

Chaos continued his vigil by the sakura blossom his Shegen scouring the city over and searching for that familiar aura...or that boy's aura. He knew both of them now and could find them easily...He would find them...but as he had been sitting there his mind had begun wondering what he would really do...maybe first...he would ask questions...that would be best. Meanwhile the countryside was raging in war and fights as the Meiji fought continually against the Shensengumi.

Suddenly it struck Yumi, she had to get away from here. She realized she knew the woman in the house too well, she was starting to involve emotions. Her relationship with the woman should not get better than it already was, at least not under the current circumastances. "We have to leave." She told Kai suddenly, "We have to get out of here. We've been at the same place for too long." Obviously Kai couldn't understand anything anymore. Yumi was gradually also getting more worried that he migth suddenly get stubborn and demand her to answer his questions. Something like that could be very dangerous. But right now, they didn't have time. Neither of them said anything during the dinner. It was clear to the young pair that something was very wrong, but they remained quiet, obeying the rules set by the Shinsengumi. It's better that way, Yumi told herself. After the dinner, when the pair had left to do some shopping, Yumi and Kai left the house. Only leaving one small note behind them:
Thank you for taking care of us.
Yumi and Kai just wandered around the city. They always followed the main streets that were crowded with people. Since Yumi was slowly running out of options she decided to sleep outdoors on the streets.

((*sigh* okay, bare with me, I'm a bit retarded right now @_@))
She stepped back and went back to her room. She looked towards the outskirts of the city, she decided that she wanted to leave tomorrow morning, early.

Chaos opened his eyes immediately when Yumi stepped outside the house. He rose and moved quickly toward the city his energy full from the continual state of rest he had been in. He stretched on his way and pulled his straw hat on and down a bit his katana ready. He found her quickly and trailed her staying back far enough to avoid detection keeping his aura hidden from her knowledge, but within view to see where she was going. He followed her and passed by when she got down to sleep on the street. He didn't look like he did the last time she saw him so she wouldn't recognize him. He went to a law official and told him about the woman sleeping on the street and the young boy she had...kidnapped. Chaos offered to take the boy into his own custody and take the woman into jail for such horrible things...the law official obliged quickly moving down the street and getting a few others with him. He told her to come with them and that they had a few questions for her. They were all dressed like ronins...since that is what the officials wore. Chaos watched in silence waiting for the boy. She was cornered and on a crowded street...she wouldn't get far by running...and she couldn't risk a public eye...she had planned her own doom...but was it right...he would worry about that later...but not right now.

Yumi immediately stood up when she saw the officials moving towards her. Trouble was the first tought soaring through her brain. She violently poked Kai in the side to wake him up.
Many things didn't quite seem right about the situation. First of all, how could a woman kidnap a young boy like that? And why would she be staying out in the streets if she really had kidnapped him?
As they came closer, they saw they boy was equipped with a sword. And Yumi didn't seem to be carrying any kind of weapon, of course they couldn't see the katanas under her layers of clothing. Now they couldn't help but changing their opinion.
"Good evening ma'am," they nodded. "That man over there claims you've kidnapped this boy." he discretely pointed at Chaos so that he wouldn't notice anything. Yumi of course immediately recognized him, there wasn't many people following her at the moment.
"Yes, please help us officer." She pulled Kai closer to herself. "That man has been following me and my son for quite a while already, I'm afraid he'll hurt us soon. We're running away, that's why we're sleeping in the streets."
"I see, I thought it was something like that. I'll help you." The official whispered a few words to a companion. "Follow me, my friends'll take care of the man." At the same moment his men moved towards Chaos.
Yumi was pleased, not only had she gotten away smoothly. But Chaos had officials after him. It even seemed like this kind official (also pretty foolish, but how could he know?), wanted to help them get away. A terrible looking situation had turned out ot be quite good.
((Just a side note, Yumi no longer dresses like a man... She's changed quite a lot after the training in the mountains. And she's a lot comfortable with herself at the moment, she's a sensei after all already!))

Chaos saw them approaching and knew from the swagger that they weren't friendly. He slid out two katanas and looked at the officials "If you don't move or take care of her then I will have to do it myself..." They wouldn't move and in fact began to become more violent because of the drawn weapons. Chaos shook his head and spoke again as they surrounded him. "You are in my way...die" As he finished that only a single flash of metal could be seen before he began walking forward and all the officials began falling with vital parts of their bodies cut...necks, heads...guts. He passed by the dieing officials his eyes golden again as he paced toward Yumi quickly. "I have been sent to kill you Yumi-san...I don't plan to let anything get in my way." He had been thinking and always did so but at moments like these he wondered if it was really worth it...

Killing the men resulted in utter and complete caos. People were running around like mad, trying to get away from Chaos. Now there was definately going to be more officials around soon. Foolish, foolish, that man knows no other way to get away than to kill. How's he going to be able to walk around in the city now? And what about when the rumour spreads? He'll be a wanted criminal in more than just this city. Doesn't he know assassins should keep a low profile? Or does he trust his own abilities so much? That'll kill him quickly. Foolish man. Yumi couldn't help but shake her head and sigh.
Then her tought turned to something entirely else. She prodded the official in front of them on the shoulder, he hadn't yet noticed anything.
"Yes?" He turned around.
"Uhm, we might want to speed things up a little." Yumi pointed backwards. Her act of a worried mother was completely forgotten by now.
The officials face went all white, he stuttered something she couldn't understand, then he started running down the street. Yumi followed, but her sences were now on high guard, her fingers gently touching her katanas on her back.

Chaos did trust his abilities to hide. And he did...he blended in almost immediately and became just another person in the crowd...and unfortunately for Yumi most the crowd was running in her direction...He didn't look the same somehow. By his style of holding himself and the way he moved he had changed. His weapons were no longer visible and so none feared this old decrepid(sp? XD) looking man. He ran past the others and up to Yumi. His voice pierced the area straight to her ears. "You should be careful...you never know when someone might hit you..." A dagger sliced under the cape hitting the boy's tricep on his left arm...possible rendering it useless for the rest of his life. As quickly as it was out...it was back in and he was gone...lost in the crowds again...He didn't want to hurt the boy...but if she treated it soon enough...within the next hour by a professional doctor she wouldn't have anything to worry about...but he was letting her know...that he didn't fear the officials...and could dissappear without a trace left...just some crazy man attacking officials...he was nondescript as well...she should have noticed that first off...He could hide himself and reappear without drawing attention...there was a man with black hair in a straw hat and a yukata...that described about all of the men in Japan at the moment...he was a chameleon(sp? XD)...and he was after her...

She had decided to go walking again because she couldn't sleep. She was in the street when the place erupted into complete chaos, pandemonium reigned and she was pushed ad battered. She ran into someone (Chaos) and nearly lost her footing. The back of her head was tingling and she caught sight of the man more clearly, here eyebrows furrowed.

Chaos bumped into her and looked at her with cold grey eyes. He then turned and moved away from her going through the crowd easily and it closed up immediately behind him. Just like that he was gone and the image faded with any other man in those streets...except for those cold grey eyes...many hand grey eyes...but few, if any as cold as those...

She was both repelled and frightfully curious after the man. She memorized his face, especially those eyes, like ice. She looked around for him, moving through the crowd.
