((Ya, let's just post tell the others come back, we might have to pm the thread leader to find out what's going on, I don't want this thread to end, I like the was the story line is going and I can't wait to go into battle.))
"I see, so there are two males and three females." Toreth lowered his hand into his lap as Fleet foot drew closer to him. He got the feeling that he wasn't going to get her to come that close yet. "I never new wolves were that much like us," he said as he looked back over to Calidar, "It's kind of neat if you think about it. It would mean they understand things better then we thought, like when we talk to them."
((I like the way your playing Fleet Foot's character, your doing fine Calidar. )) xd Toreth watched as Fleet Foot continued to move closer untill she had laid down only a few inches away from him. He smiled at her and slowly, very slowly moved his right hand over to her along the ground, he did not want to alarm her in anyway. Right before his hand could touch her he stopped and left it there. He longed to touch her but felt he had moved enough with out presuring her to much. The next move would be her's and her's alone, he wanted her to choose to trust him, not force her to trust him. He decided to turn is attention else where to release any strain at the moment, but never moved his hand from where it had come to rest. "Ryan, why don't you sit down next to us. You can only get over a fear of something by facing it and choosing to trust it and let it trust you. Thats all fear is, a lack of trust."

((Hey, if you wanna try playing Fleet Foot that's fine with me. I'd just pretty much have her follow you around whenever you come near, cuz she's pretty much in love...well, as much as she can be. She trusts Toreth. Don't know why, but she does. So, if you feel up to it, she's all yours.))

The owner of this thread is no longer within the Guild. Either you guys continue without him/her, or PM the creator of the thread and ask if you can become the owner of the RP. If the owner agrees to let you, PM me and I'll Edit changes for you in the first posts. Or you could try and convince him/her to re-join C.O.S.T and stay active. -Doom

((Well, we're getting nowhere at the moment, so I am going to force us to do something. If either of you don't like this, tell me and I'll do something else. Heh, forgot the Dragonlance's name. Whoops.))
Down by the lake, Tanneth lifted her head and turned toward where the other pairs lived. She shifted and bugled alarmingly, flapping her wings.
"Cali, something bad has happened. I cannot feel Tyrkennen's presence anymore. I cannot find him."
Her mind-voice rose in fear. Unable to do anything else, she launched herelf into the air and turned herself in the direction of the clearing, circling above. Cali straightened quickly, startling Green Wind and the others to their feet. The hair on the back of her neck rose in fear. The Dragonlance was missing. Cali could think of nothing worse. Without a dragonlance, what would become of the other dragons and riders? What would become of them? She turned to Ryan and Toreth, whipping her head around so fast that her neck cricked.
"Bad news," she said softly. "The Dragonlance is missing."
She tried desparately to keep her fear in check as the enormity of the situation began to overwhelm her.
"Yes. Torokal, Chandra, Calidar and I are going back to the others. Please inform your riders."
Green Wind, Tanneth is going to land in the clearing. I'm sorry, but I have to leave.
Green Wind gave a curt nod of his head (a very unwolf-like thing to do) and herded the rest of the pack further into the forest, out of sight. Only Fleet Foot remained.
"Tanneth and I are going back to ask the others for answers," Cali said. "You may come if you like. If not, you can always contact Tanneth."
With a grace amazing for a creature of Tanneth's size, she glided down to the clearing and backwinged to land, for once not adding any antics. She crouched down low and waited impatiently for Calidar to mount her. Almost before Calidar had fastened the safety straps on the saddle, Tanneth had launched into the air again and was flying toward the others. She was more distressed than Calidar had ever known her to be.

Torokal landed in the clearing with a very large thump, and waited impatiently for Ryan to saddle up, and took off the moment his rider was settled. The whiplash pulled his head back, and dropped his stomach out from under him. "We need to get back to the compound, and pronto. This could have serious consequences."

((Okay, this may be a little egotistical of me, but no one is doing anything at all and I am bound and determined to keep this thing alive and going, so I am going to do something. I may not be the leader of this thread, but we don't have someone to lead us, so now we shall all take charge. I shall begin. We have already experienced the quiet before the storm. Now we shall plunge to its center.)) Tanneth arrived at the compound in record time. She deftly maneuvered herself to the compound's ampitheater where, only hours before, they had all assembled. Now they would assemble once more, this time to overcome the loss of Kyala and Tyrkennen, for they were indeed lost. Tanneth landed on the platform at the ampitheater's center and let out her loudest, ear-splitting roar (more anguished scream than roar, but "roar best describes the magnitude). Calidar would have been shocked underany other circumstances that her calm Tanneth could be so upset, but this was different. This was tragedy. Tanneth roared again, and Calidar unfastened the saftey straps on her saddle to slide down beside her dragon. She and Tanneth had their head up; searching the skies for their fellow riders. "We must all stand together. But how can we stand when we are dispersed across the land? They must not be allowed to separate now. We must all find a solution.""I know dearest. And we shall. Together, we shall find a way."Eagerly, they scanned the skies. Waiting for the Riders to answer the summons. Once more, Tanneth roared, holding the note for a full ten seconds before cutting it off.And then, they waited.

((We must fight together, or we shall surely die alone.))
Torokal had his wings pulled in tight to his body, and the chill of his body was leaving a contrail behind him that was visible from the ground. Adjusting his wings slightly, he banked into a descending spiral that would take him rapidly to the ground. His landing was so hard that the stone of the amphitheater floor cracked, leaving four spiderweb dents in the rock. Ryan sent out a mental call to all senior and junior riders currently in the compound to assemble, as Torokal let out a thunderous roar that rippled the air with its power. Turning to Calidar, Ryan's brow creased with worry as he stated, "We need to find out what happened to Tyrkennen and Kyala, and if it is some new, unannounced foe, we must give our all to best it." This last he emphasized by thumping his fist into his glove, setting up eddies of frosty air.

**((My heart is so full and overjoyed at the fact that this thread is not long dead that I swear on the ancient Riders that I am near tears, but that does not fully lift the overcast of my disgrace at my neglect to Gaia and all of you. I humbly ask for all of your forgivness. I have, thank my lucky stars above, been re-admitted to the guild, but I will officially turn over my once held post of BattleLance if that is the general concensus. I totally understand. However, I also want you to know that I have a computer of my own and the opportunity to remain faithful to you all once again. My fingers itch to start a million word post to start that battle but I won't do that unless you say I can join you as a Rider once again. All my most heartful sorry's and apologies are yours to have.
thank you so much, Nell ))*

WingCaptain Gunter Hulion checked the the position of the sun in irritation. BattleLance Kyala's Blacksilver Wing should have arrived hours ago but there was still no sign of them on the horizon. He stood on the tall viewing platform of one of the camps watchtowers with several of his human underlings while their Dragon halves waited below or circled above. There was a constant flurry of motion below as the day to day affairs of camp life were carried out but there were also the rushing forms of scouts returning and leaving, messengers running to and fro. This was a war and he needed reinforcements.
Blowing out gray tinged mustaches he watched the steam from his breath dissipate in the cold air. Everyone here was used to the cold by now but it was not something anyone truely appreciated. Those damned Krag were deft at using the sometimes freezing conditions against his forces and he needed more dragons. He had even heard that one of the Wingleaders who would be arriving was as at home in the ice as a fish in the sea. That pair would be invaluable. Turning back to watch the landing area he watched the skies for any sign of the missing Wing.
