Macyn grinned watching the two. It was cute. He tossed his plate into the trash and waited to see what Malachite was doing before looking back at the stairs.
He knew he should be somewhat social but he wasn't used to so many people at once, that happened when you spent part of your life alone on the streets, shaking his head to clear it he smiled and leaned against the wall.

The dark-skinned girl grinned, tucking her brightly colored hair behind one ear. "Thanks." It made her feel better to see so many people with different hair types and colors. Her hair always seemed so...well, strange to some people. But it turns out that it really wasn't that odd at all. And even if it was, she liked her hair and didn't care what anyone else thought.
"Well, I suppose it isn't. But that's what makes it special." Sauda said quietly, but firmly, feeling more open then ever. Then she felt contrite--Soco was older than her, much older. He didn't need her to tell him something like that. "And I like your ears too." She shifted her feet slightly at that, as though embarassed that she had been brave enough to say it outloud. The thought that Kaleb might know something seemed to perk her up.
"He does? Oh, we should go see!" She chirped to Kiki and Jessie, her one arm still swinging happily away. That said, she tugged on Kiki's hand, spotting a boy by the mentioned music table who she assumed was Kaleb. Did he have...dog ears?

Mako caught the scene as well, watching and chuckling amusedly. Catching a similar look of amusement on Adrian's face, he sidled his way around the edge of the room, making his way over to Adrian and Mal with a grin.
"Who'd have thought they'd interact with eachother, eh?" he mused. "Good to see them both coming out of their shells a little, though." Mako just hoped Luca didn't do anything drastic...
Lucavi scowled, glaring at the blonde brat as he had the audacity to give him a spit wash! He resisted the urge to snap at the kid's fingers, immediately ripping he napkin out from his shirt collar. Who the hell did this kid think he was? Well, Luca could tell he had come from the mansion too, at least... and he'd be damned if he was going to make one of those brats make a fool out of him and saunter off like nothing had happened. Following the boy, he tried to bring his seething down to a mild glare.
"You're from the mension, aren't you?" he said quietly, right behind the boy. "Enjoying your escape now, are you? Living the high life here?" he growled softly, pulling in front of the boy. "Well, you missed a spot" he said, reaching into his pockets and pulling out a sharpened bone fragment(damn, Mako thought he had gotten rid of them all!) before dragging it across his forearm. Dabbing at some of the blood that pooled, he then swiped the end of his bloody finger across the tip of the blonde's nose. Thankfully, it was only a shallow scratch, and it was already starting to scab as he walked off.

Soco smiled at Sauda, not at all offended by her remark about how special his hair was, or about how she liked his ears. "Thank you," he repeated, bowing low enough for her to get a good look at them. He then excused himself to go take care of "other matters."
Malachite glanced at Macyn. He didn't seem to be having that great a time, and this concerned his host. "What's up?"
Adrian glanced up as Mako came over to watch the show with them. "Yeah, it's quite the interesting situation," the guardian agreed. "Let's see how it plays out."
Than stopped short as Lucavi ducked in front of him. The blonde tilted his head to one side as the other mentioned the mansion. An escape? Was living with the Karlets an escape? Not exactly, but it wasn't half-bad, either.
He blinked and went cross-eyed as Lucavi dabbed blood on his nose. Eww, AIDs! was his first thought, his face scrunching in disgust. He glanced around, trying to find something to disinfect his nose without touching it. Disinfectant, disinfectant... He sighed, gave up, and went to the bathroom down the hall. Once there, he washed his nose with antibacterial soap and dug around in the cupboards.
Hana and Soco had been watching the scene from the kitchen and snuck away to join Than in the bathroom for a quick strategy meeting. They armed themselves well, and then returned to their posts -- Hana by the kitchen door, Soco by the dining room door, and Than made his way towards Lucavi once more.
Adrian eyed the mischevous looks on their faces. "This can't be good," he murmured.

[[ Hehe, awkward-- I have to move myself form page 2 to page 11... somehow. xD ]]
After another run to the car to grab the card he'd forgotten, and once again fussing over his hair and make-up, Aponi returned to the Karlet's hallway, this time draging the large present Emo had once been lugging around. He smiled, a bit timidly, as he passed the guests that had already began to flood the house, Emo following behind, looking quite calm.
She admired the house, which dwarfed their previous once, and made their apartment seem like a bathroom in size.

Kiki pulled Jazzie along as she was pulled over to Kaleb by Sauda. The other pink-haired boy was over by the music table. Kilayla grinned broadly up at him, though she knew such a grin looked more like a grimace. "Hello. We've come to inquire about the dragon."
She'd heard a salesman on t.v. say 'inquire' before, and had looked it up. Kiki loved learning new words. She grinned up at him again, suppressing a giggle.

Macyn looked at Malachite. " Hmm?" He asked with confused glance. Hearing the question he frowned. " Nothing why?" he hoped that Mal didn't think he didn't like it here, he did. he was still ajesting to the people.

Aponi looked about, trying to figure out where to put the gift, and spotted a familiar head of green and purple hair just across the way, speaking with a boy he'd never seen before.
He gave a big smile and made his way towards the two boys, leaving Emo behind, which she didn't mind at all.
"Mal-- happy birthday, big kid." He joked, holding up the green wrapped box. "So, where do I put this?"

Okay, so he was finally here, after HOW long?!? "Ugh, I hate being late" Mei sighed before walking in, spotting the guest book he couldn't help but take a few moments to read over the names of who had been there already and what they had said. Grinning Mei deviously wrote "smexy" by Mako's name before leaving his own message.
"Malachite, have to say you've gotta be m'fav to come from that mansion, let's face it, you rock! Truley deserve the definition of bishounen. wink Have the best birthday of all, you've earned it, and don't listen to these weirdos, don't get all too smashed around them. xd

Kaleb raised an eyebrow when he suddenly found himself surrounded by three short girls. Ohh, they must be Soco's friends, he thought. "Come to inquire about the dragon?" he repeated. "Well, I suppose I might as well tell everyone..."
Ignoring the scene between Than and Lucavi, Kaleb began announcing the point and purpose of the pinata. "One at a time, people can come up to this dragon here and pull a ribbon off," he explained. "If you pull the right ribbon, a little trap door will open, and stuff will come out and people will rush over to grab what they can. If you don't pull the right ribbon, well, you still get something." He pointed to the lollipops, whistles, and other candies and plastic toys hanging from each ribbon. "I'm not gonna worry about ages or blindfolding or anything like that. Whoever wants to start can go ahead, but only ONE PERSON AT A TIME."

"You just seem distracted or something, I dunno." Mal shrugged. "Just want to make sure you're having a good time, is all."
At a voice behind him, Mal turned. He emitted the most girlie squeal imaginable and glomped Aponi. "Eeee~ It's you! You came! Wai!" After sufficiently hugging the pale-haired teen, he pulled back. "Nice outfit! C'mere, I want to introduce you to someone." He took the box in one arm and tugged Aponi by the hand over to Macyn. "Aponi, this is Macyn. He's kind of new to the area. Macyn, Aponi, one of my best friends."
Adrian glanced behind him as Mal greeted Aponi. He then caught sight of someone familiar, and grinned. He was almost tempted to greet the guest in the same manner Malachite just had... ohhh, it was so tempting... But he snuck behind the guest and gave him a bear--er, bunny hug, tugging him in the direction of the dining room. "You're late... now, we'll have to punish you," he said. He was only kidding, of course. He put Mei down next to Mako, figuring the two would be busy for the rest of the night.

"Thanks-- and you look great, as always." Aponi returned the hug, giggling at Mal's girlish squeals, and gave Macyn a friendly smile, holding out his hand to the lad.
"Hi, nice to meet you." He swept his eyes over the youth, he seemed nice enough, "So, how's the party so far?" He asked, whether the question was directed towards Mal or Macyn was unclear, though he'd appreciate a comment from either one.
Hearing an announcement for the pinata, he let out a small laugh, he'd never been to a party with a pinata-- how cute, he thought, eyeing the dragon for a moment before returning his gaze to the two boys.

Looking around Mei hadn't heard Adrian sneak up on him and squeeked as a pair of bear--bunny arms wrapped around him, pulling him off elsewhere. "A-Aaaaah! ... Oh! Adrian!" Mei grinned at the sight of his friend, at first he thought he was in trouble for being late. Oh wait... at Adrian's words Mei chuckled softly, "sorry, got caught up in some things" though what punishment? Oh he hoped the bun was only kidding. Soon Mako came into view and Mei beamed, "heya Mako!" hah, he thought'd he'd be lost for at least half an hour before finding him. Good thing there were life saving bun's around.

Mako shuddered as Lucavi retaliated, ready to walk up to him and reprimand him, but he listened to Adrian and held his ground, content to watch everything play out. "Yeah, seems like something's up, doesn't it? Well...I bet Luca has it coming to him anyways" he commented.
Luca kept his eyes on Than - he wasn't stupid enough to take his eyes off of his opponet, and this was certainly turning out to be war...well, at much war you can have under the cover of a birthday party.
"Oh, good, you know how to clean yourself up, too" he remarked scathingly as Than came into ear shot. Cautiously, he eyed Than, knowing that the boy was hiding something... Well, if he was going to be secretive, Luca would take the othet road and lay his cards on the table. Reaching into his pockets again, he pulled out a few more sharp instruments, lining them up between his fingers, careful to keep it from looking too threatening.

"So far so good," Malachite chirped in reply. "But I think things are about to heat up." He jerked his head in the direction of Than and Lucavi. "Than is the blond; he just moved in with us. He and that other boy have been messing around, tonight."
"Eh, dun worry about it," Adrian said, ruffling Mei's hair. "Go play with your Mako." He eyed the other guardian's riled state. "And Mako, dun worry about Than. He'll be fine, one way or another."
Than had his hands behind his back as he continued his approach. He stopped at the sight of the sharp objects between Lucavi's fingers. He made a face and shook his head. Can't he have fun without being violent? Tsk. The blond smiled sweetly.
In a quick movement, his arms extended forward, and colorful sticky string blew out of two aersol cans. He started dashing backward, just incase Lucavi decided to get violent.
Hana and Soco still stayed at their posts, cans of silly string at the ready behind their backs should the preteens get too close.

Aponi gave the two boys a frowning look, returning his attention to Malachite. He only hoped the scabby little boy wouldn't try to cut the poor blonde-- who didn't seem sscared at all of the threatneing looking child.
"Yikes-- you think we should step in, or wait until they start fist fighting?" His nose scrunched a bit, as if questioning the children's behavior.
"What do you think they're fighting over, anyways?"
