((Dude, that is insane! I think my friend during her pregnancy only wanted eggplant and would throw fits when she couldn't get it. It was so weird xD!
And woot woot, I lay claimage on page 11 ))
Sesshomaru had closed his eyes for a brief moment as he listened to her.
"You won't fall over; you haven't fallen over yet and the likelihood of it happening now is slim. I would catch you anyway." He said without looking at her but his eyes snapped opened again when an odd scent almost knocked him off his feet. Something had changed... her scent wasn't her normal, comforting scent at all and he did not like it.
He looked towards Kagome and noticed she looked shocked about something but also, she looked like she was in pain. He frowned; not liking the look on the young miko's face before the realization of what was happening and her words suddenly clicked in his mind. Of course, the only thing he could really think to say as he scrambled to process what exactly to do now was probably the last thing he should have said at the time.
"Now? No...Kagome, you tell them to stay in there! I don't know how to deliver a child." He said as he crossed the room in three quick strides and took hold of her hands. He led her away from the crib towards the bed slowly.

Kagome gave him an odd look, "...I don't think they....want to listen...."
With Sesshomaru's support, she hobbled over to the bed. Sweat began to glisten on her forehead as she held back a scream of pain. "Get...get someone..." she moaned.
For all she knew, labor could last several hours. Her carefully laid plans of what to do when the time came obviously went to pieces.
It felt like she was about to be torn in half. Another ripple of contractions came. She bit her lip. not wanting to make Sesshomaru panic even more.

(( ninja Hm... I think I know who I can toss out to help the two of them ))
Sesshomaru allowed her to lean her against his as he led her to the bed and he paused before it.
"Sit here, I'll be back as soon as I can." He leaned forward and brushed his lips against Kagome's nose and was at the door and out of it within a matter of seconds.
She wondered aimlessly. It was how she spent the better part of her days when she wasn't assisting people in town. No one ever bothered her and so Kikyo found it surprising that as she was wondering the halls, she was nearly knocked over by Sesshomaru in his haste to find someone to help him. The two were indifferent towards one another but she was caught completely off guard when he reluctantly asked for her help.
"Kagome is going into labor and you're the only one I've found that I know can help. You will come with me." It wasn't a request but a demand as his cold civility returned.
"Inuyasha and Kagome are expecting?" She asked, tilting her head curiously at the thought. After a moments pause, Sesshomaru answered the dead miko.
"Kagome and I are expecting. There is no time for this chatter... Follow me now." He growled, turning away from her. "Come on." He stalked his way back to the room and stepped back inside.
"Kagome, I've found someone who can help." He said, looking back towards the door, waiting for the other miko to come in.
Kikyo stepped into the room regally and stopped, staring at her reincarnation and then back at the demon that led her here with a mixture of feelings.
"I could call you a fool but I think I understand..." She said in her soft voice and she approached Kagome.

Kagome concentrated on breathing evenly as another wave of pain rolled through. It hurt like hell! "He'd better come back soon or else I might just pop!" she muttered.
Her eyes were squeezed shut as her contractions were getting closer. She felt a gentle breeze, signaling Sesshomaru's return. Opening her eyes, Kagome looked at the door.
A strangled noise came from her throat, a cross between a gasp and a moan. A moan of pain or a moan of disbelief, it was hard to tell. The look she gave Sesshomaru clearly said, Of all people?!
She leaned her head back on the pillows. This was not how she was planning on facing her one-time rival in love. A whimper of pain escaped her lips.
"Thank you...for coming..." she managed.

Sesshomaru knew that he was definitely in the doghouse now with Kagome and probably wouldn't be out of it for awhile but he could hope that she wouldn't remember any of this after their children were born. He shrugged at her and crossed the room to sit beside her on the bed and held out his hand for her to take. He leaned towards her, lowering his voice to at least attempt to explain why the other miko was here.
"She was the only one I could find to help..." He said in a low voice to her
Kikyo watched the two of them carefully and raised a brow at their actions towards one another. Though it was none of her business as to what went on between the two of them, she couldn't help but feel curious and she had a few questions for her reincarnation but she would keep those comments to herself. She nodded at Kagome when the young girl thanked her for being there.
"I was surprised at being demanded to come here." Sesshomaru gave her a cold glare but she ignored it. "How close are your contractions?"

Kagome took the proffered hand. Clenching it tightly, she conveyed her intent and the ripples of pain her lower half was experiencing.
In all honesty, she shouldn't have been surprised. In this case, only another anthro (preferably female) could help. And Sesshomaru didn't know that many of them.
"Um..." Kagome gasped, "every few...minutes?"
She concentrated on regulating her breathing and riding out the waves of pain.

As she clenched his hand, Sesshomaru glanced first at his hand and then at her. Whatever consequence came along with him offering his hand would be dealt with later.
"For someone so small, I never thought you could have this much strength." He watched her regulating her breathing and he tried to remain as calm as possible to help her. A sudden thought crossed his mind to help her forget the pain. "Have you thought of any names yet?"
Kikyo nodded wisely at Kagome's words. She had finally made it across the room and was running her hand along Kagome's stomach to inspect her.
"Your labor pains won't probably last for hours like most. When it feels like your contractions are coming right after each other, you must begin to push." She paused and began to look about the room. "I need a few old blankets..."

Kagome's responding smile seemed more like baring her teeth at him.
Names? She's in the middle of labor and now he asks about names? If she could, she would have kicked him in the shins. Stupid men.
"All I'm thinking...about right now..." she slowly said, "is maiming you...for being so chirpy and...doing this to me..."
Sweat glistened on her forehead and she tried to withstand the pain. In school, they showed the miracle of life but never mentioned the pain that goes with it.

Sesshomaru raised a brow at her glaring her teeth at him and for threatening him. He would have laugh but given the fact he was in deep trouble with her.
"Chirpy? Honestly woman, I cannot make you happy can I?" He shrugged at her last words, the corners of his mouth twitching as he fought to keep a smirk off his face as he remembered that night.
"Oh, do not blame this on me. Go out and maim the idiot who handed out too much sake."
Kikyo paused in her search for blankets and listened to the two of them bickering with one another. She rolled her eyes and left the room to go to the her owner's room and returned just as quickly as she had left. She laid the blankets down by Kagome's legs and folded her arms across her chest.
"Tell me when your contractions are getting closer and keep breathing." She took a step back away from the two and listened in on their conversation.

The contractions grew closer and closer until it was almost a continuous wave of pain. There was only a few seconds in between them. "They're...really close...together" Kagome whimpered. With her legs propped up. she grit her teeth and began to push.
Glaring at him, she let out a noise that sounded a lot like a growl. "Why don't... you try to...push something...the size of a watermelon...out a hole...the size of a lemon?!"

The pain that was radiating from Kagome was something that Sesshomaru felt somewhat a pang of guilt for. If he could, he would have done anything to take that pain away but this was one situation he could not completely control. Of course, here he was teasing her and now a somewhat half smirk had finally broken through Sesshomaru's careful guard. It was probably the weirdest time to finally smile at her when she was growling at him like she was possessed and was glaring at him.
"No, I will most certainly pass on that experience." His slight smirk grew somewhat before he became serious again. "You cannot break my hand Kagome...if you're so frustrated at me, just squeeze that."
Kikyo turned from where she was looking at the beautiful crib and at Kagome and she crossed the room and knelt down before the young girl. She looked up at the two of them.
"It's time. Keep her calm demon," Sesshomaru growled at Kikyo for being addressed by her. She ignored him. "and continue taking deep breaths Kagome." Kikyo instructed wisely though it felt a little weird to be addressing Kagome. They rarely spoke before this. "Push and then breathe. Do not exert yourself."

Beads of sweat glistened on Kagome's brow as she followed Kikyo's instructions. Holy cow, it hurts. Breathe. Push. Breathe. Push.
"Just as well. If men were giving birth, both humans and demons alike would be on the endangered species list," she retorted acidly.
Gripping his hand tightly, she grumbled, "We'll see about breaking that hand of yours. Next time, I want to remember how I got pregnant."
Kagome felt her cheeks burn. Did she really just say that aloud? In front of Kikyo, no less! It was hard to tell whether her flushed face was from exertion or embarrassment.

"I'll admit, as a woman, you're far stronger in this aspect than a man and if it were up to men to give birth, we would just find the laziest and most pain free way around all of this." He said to her. Her grumbled words definitely caught the demon's attention and he raised a brow at her, clearly curious and amused by her words and ignoring the threat she was trying to issue to him. "You've captured my attention. Do you often think of how you got pregnant Kagome?"
Kikyo looked up from her duties at Kagome's words and stared at the two in disbelief. They had to be the oddest couple she had ever seen and she did not understand them at all. Kikyo pushed her sleeves up and sighed.
"I believe I see your first child..." She announced, trying to block out the topic of discussion between the two now.

"...Did I mention lately that I don't like you?" Kagome muttered, her cheeks flaming red.
Biting down on her lip, she squeezed Sesshomaru's hand tightly and continued to push. The pressure in her midsection was unbearable. But if she didn't give birth soon, the puppies would suffocate...
She whimpered as the baby slowly passed through the opening. And imagine, two more on the way!

"I'm sure I'll think of something to change that opinion you have of me later..." Sesshomaru made a mental note to ask her more on the subject later. Instead, he leaned down and laid his head against hers and, though she was attempting to squeeze the life out of his hand, he gave her hand a reassuring squeeze. Kikyo's words finally clicked in his mind and he tensed, waiting to greet his--their first child. Selfishly, he was repeating over and over in his mind for the child to be a boy. "Is the child alright?" He asked the other miko.
After doing the necessary checks and cleaning the baby, Kikyo expertly wrapped the first baby in one of the towels beside her.
"Yes, the first child is alright." Kikyo stared down at the baby. "It's a little baby girl..."
Cradling the baby, she rose to where the crib was and began to drag it over. She was careful not to disturb the baby as she pulled the crib over to the bed and when it was in place, she placed their first daughter gently into the crib and returned to her position ready for the next. "One down and two more to go. It will go far faster than the first; I promise. Keep breathing..."
