Orrin stood watching the trio fly into their predestined coordinates.
"Should we tell them that their window of stealth is only 20 feet wide?" A com officer asked, nervously eyeing the radar.
"No, not really. I told them they'd have to fly single file one behind another. Its like flying through a tube. But remember, they have the warning zone to buffer from complete failure. If they make the turns decently, they won't have to screw up..."

Proceeding along the path, Kefka suddenly realized that they would have to pass through a gorge, and once the trip dipped into it, a series of sharp, and tight turns awaited.
"Sithspawn.." was all he managed to mutter before he cut down on the thrust to make an extremely tight.

Jarik cruised along behind Kef, trying to keep pace with the other tow fighters, an effort that was starting to prove difficult as the pilots weeved through the gorge. Jarik was even more worried about the ordinance parts of the test.Man, My Z was never equipped with missles. How the hell am I going to bomb anything? he thought. he gritted his teeth as he barely cleared a sharp turn. Maybe I should focus on what Im doing...

The flight reached Anchorhead and turned north, onto the heading for Bestine.

Kefka tried to crank his throttle up just a bit back to 50% as it had fallen even lower to 45&, but when he tried, his controls wouldn't respond. A large stone formation was dead ahead, and he was supposed to bank right, but at the velocity he was traveling at, he wouldn't make it.
"Bantha poodo.."
He presssed down on the brake, but it too wouldnt respond.
"Sithspit, what the hell is this?"

Kefka pushed down on the brake but the craft still streaked forward.
The crappy HUD displayed his blue blip moving closer and closer to a wall on the screen.
Looking through the viewport, he realised it was a matter of seconds before he would hit. Nevertheless, the mission recquired commsilence, so he disengaged the comm he had started to hit, grabbed the yoke, threw the craft portside, shut his eyes, and hoped to death that he would make it.

Orrin watched, with some hidden glee, at the little blip move further and further away from teh group.
"Squad leader, get your man back in line, or you will fail. He's in the yellow zone as we speak," Orrin stated. "If he hits the red, all three automatically fail. And though this is supposed to be comsilence, you do know there is more than one way to communicate to someone. Comsilence can only be broken if you are in an emergency. So leader, find out what the hell is going on."

Kefka opened his eyes, and found himself promptly behind Jarik. He breathed a sigh of relief.
I made it .
He dialed down the throttle, and to his uttermost amazement, it worked. Curious, he pressed down on the brake, and that too had suddenly started working.
He shrugged off the near-death experience, feeling that it must have been a test.

Jarik blinked. one minute Psycho was infront and seemingly having problems, the next he was behind him. He picked up the speed to catch the departing skipper."what the hell...." he shook his head and resumed flying. he made a mental note of this. "This is like the second time this has happened, and This time I KNOW im sober."

Kefka ran a quick instrument check on his hopper, and everything came up positive, which confused him since the hopper had suddenly stopped responding to him. The trio reached Bestine, and even though Kefka's hopper had gone haywire, they had made it in good time too.
He glanced down at the glowing HUD, and the waypoint had changed towards Mos Entha. His hand reached the comm for a whoop of joy but he stopped himself remembring they were still steallthing.

Logar had been about to establish a line-of-sight laser link with Kefka when he ((somehow)) pulled out of his crash course. The Mon Cal considered linking anyway, to find out what had happened, then shrugged. The signal will be broken, since Jarik is between us, and now that everything is apparently all right, I can ask when comm silence ends, he thought.
