Grave raised his hand, slowly but not timidly. When Melonia fixed him with her gaze, he asked, "What was that at the beginning of class that left us reeling?" Grave gestured to the line of students in between the professor and the doorway. "A Mudra?" But the professora merely shook her head and smiled.
"No, that was a bit of astral travel. But I really oughtn't tell you more than that at this present time..."
Grave made a few notes in his notebook and then - reluctantly - began to pack his school supplies up.

Astral travel, huh? That sounded interesting too ...

Mat eyed Grave and then Melonia, then shrugged, seeing that they weren't going to get any more than that for the moment. As he hadn't taken much of anything out of his bag in the first place, there wasn't much for him to put away.

He stretched slightly then unfolded himself from his pillow, standing up. "Wanna go to the Arena?" he asked Grave, grinning.

Grave slung his strapped bag over his shoulder and rose from the cushion. when Mathiaz spoke to him he stopped and blinked his clear eyes at the fiery boy without apparent emotion. "What?" Grave said finally. Did the Sanguine really think he'd make a friend by being so relentless on him? Did he actually expect that Grave would merely bow and follow him? Grave paused and his expression was unreadable. Perhaps if Amelia said she was going to go to the Arena he would go. He had far more interest in heading to the Teacher's Lounge in hopes of meeting some more of his Professors before class.

Amelia listened carefully to Melonia lay down the rules for the Stage Zeros, putting them into her memory for good. She'd be sure not to go into the forbidden areas, though somehow, she wondered why it was so bad that they leave the walls of the White District. Hopefully, curiosity wouldn't get her later on...

Melonia seemed deadly serious though, and Amelia didn't like the word "extinguished". She certainly didn't want her essence to be blown out as if it were just a flame burning from a candle.

As she finished taking notes, she was glad to hear that it was now free time. It seemed like she'd been spending all day in class, and she was ready to get outside, even if it was just for a little while. Sliding her notebook, quill and inkpot into her satchel, she stood up, glancing around the room to see where the others were going.

Her ears perked when she heard the Profesora mention 'astral travel'. It sounded somewhat appealing, and she liked the sound of it. But she stopped talking about it as suddenly as she began, and Amelia was left with few details. Perhaps she'd have to do some research on it...

She stood up and turned to Grave and Mathiaz. "What are you guys gonna do?" she asked quietly, still stuck in the somber, calm mood from Melonia's class. "I kinda thought about the gardens, but the arena might be fun."

Mathiaz turned toward her, grinning. "Well. I wanna go to the Arena but study-boy here probably wants to go babble at Professors or something," he said, jabbing a thumb toward Grave.

It was a good guess, yes, but he'd already leared a few things about Grave over the course of the day.

Grave suppressed a snarl that threatened to curl his lip and shot Mathiaz a cold look. "Amelia, I'm going to head to the Teacher's Lounge. I want to meet the other professors and see if I can't get some questions answered that have been nagging me. You are certainly invited to join me. If you'd rather, you can go with this slothenly imp and head to the Arena. The choice is yours." Grave adjusted the strap of his satchel and ran a hand through his dark locks swiftly before pressingpast Mathiaz and heading towards the door. He moved slowly, but steadily towards the door, listening carefully for Amelia's answer.

Amelia suddenly felt quite awkward...What would she rather do?

Of course, the Arena sounded interesting, but would there be anything happening there, or would they just look out into a massive arena? Sure, the arena itself might be impressive, but would that be the conclusion to their visit? Would anyone actually be battling there?

She was tempted to go to the pool so that she could play with her new visor more, but she thought it might also be interesting to stop by the Teacher's Lounge. After all, Amelia was an academic. School was interesting for her.

"Well, if there's nothing going on at the Arena, I don't see the point in going. I kind of wanted to try out my new technoequip at the pool, but meeting some more of the teachers sounds like a good idea as well. Maybe we could all go together and see everything?" she offered, hoping the boys would be in agreement. "Free time lasts quite awhile, doesn't it?"

Grave paused at the door and listened to Amelia's response. He hid a small grimace. Well, it looks like I won't be able to ditch Mathiaz afterall... Grave thought to himself. Then, after a moment taken to make sure his voice came out sounding indifferent he said, "I'm heading out then. Maybe I'll catch up with you two later on..." Grave trailed off. As he passed through the doorway of the classroom and out into the noisy hall he turned his thoughts to the Teacher's Lounge. What would he ask them first? Who would he see there first?
As these queries began to fill his curious mind, Grave's unease at the tension between he and his Sanguine classmate melted away, and he picked up his pace, excited to get to the Teacher's Lounge.

Kallisto shrugged as the silence dragged on. Apparently her classmates weren’t as talkative as she had hoped. Oh well. She stood after making sure everything was in order and made her way to the door, passing by a threesome of very talkative people.

She noticed the Sanguine looked somewhat smug and the Melancholic rather… testy. What was his problem? The other boy probably said something jokingly that the melancholic took too seriously. Ah, well, none of her business anyways.

The pause at the door had caused her have to face the crush of bodies as class let out. Standing on tip toe, she looked for an opening that would allow her to cross the hall and enter the corridor that led to her room. Free time was just that and she was determined not to have to carry her books with her. Kallisto’s thoughts trailed off as something nagged at the back of her mind, something important. Then she remembered with a flash.

Cecil! She’d forgotten to feed him before she left and that was a good while ago. He was probably chewing on the table by now. She took off, narrowly missing the departing Grave and waded through the crowd, quickly disappearing into the riot of colours.

Mat stared at Grave's back for a moment, then shrugged. "Well, want to go see if something -is- going on at the Arena?" he asked Amelia, turning toward her with a grin.

((XD Yea, I know ... short XP ))

Grave made his way into the hall and was promptly jostled by students of all descriptions. As he stood in the sea of students, watching them filter and brush past him like a river sweeping to the sea, he realized he did not know which way the Teacher's Lounge was.
All of these hallways seemed to be in the same, continuous circle...They just seemed to be spiralling out from the centre of the world into...what?
Wait, hadn't someone said that the Teacher's lounge was near the Auditorium? If they hadn't said it, Grave didn't care, the knowledge clung in the back of his mind, and he intended to follow his instincts. Suddenly decisive, he began darting agily through the crowds, heading down the spiralling hallway to the centre of the White District, and the seat of its power.

Amelia's smile turned quickly upside down as Grave walked away, looking quite indifferent. She managed to stutter something before he walked away, speaking only to his back--probably more quietly than he could hear. "Uh---oh. Oh...okay. Bye Grave," she managed to get out, giving him a wave that he probably wouldn't see.

It was then that she heard Mathiaz's voice, and she looked over to him, happy to see that he had a smile on his face. "Sure, I guess I can go check it out with you. Maybe you'd be willing to come to the garden afterward?" she suggested with a shrug. "I still want to try out this visor, and I'll bet you'd like to do more with that booster pack, right?" She gave him a smile and looked out into the hallway.

"How do we get to the Arena anyway?" she asked, scanning to the right and left, but only seeing the bobbing heads of the throng of students. She hoped she'd see Grave's head, but alas, there was no familiar face in the crowd.

Taking a wrong turn somewhere along the way, Kallisto found herself face what appeared to be a garden. Surprised, she stopped and stared having noticed the garden in her rush to get to class. It looked lush and beautiful but the thought of Cecil's mewing - or precisely the satisfied belch he'd emitt upon ransacking her small stores of snacks - made her turn around and take the proper turn. She'd keep that garden in mind for her explorations later in the evening.

At last, she approached her room and and opened the door, wincing in preparation of the mess... only to find a very sleepy looking Cicus cat waiting for her return. Had he just woken up? Probably... Dropping her bag in heap by the door, she padded over to the petfood and poured him a bowl.

There. She smiled, satisfied, and turned to the mirror. She didn't look too haphazard, so she returned to the door. The crush had eased a little but enough to make movement easy. She'd have to work against the flow to get to the Arena. Checking to make sure Cecil was comfortable once more, she left and joined the streams of people.

Mathiaz considered a moment, then nodded. "Sure, why not ... it would be fun to fiddle with the Pack more." See, he could make concessions! Stupid Grave ...

At her second question, he frowned slighlty. "Uhm ... good question." He stood up on his tiptoes, wondering if there were any sort of signs pointing the way or anything. Hm ... nope, didn't seem like it. "I guess we could just start walking and try to find it?" he suggested after a moment.

Amelia was glad to hear that Mathiaz would go with her to the garden later. She knew he could be stubborn, just from the few classes she'd had with him, but he seemed willing to go with her.

"Alright, well, let's see..." She stepped out into the hallway and the crowd had seemed to dissipate some. "Let's go this way," she said, taking a left and walking down the hall. "Maybe we'll find someone who knows where it is. Maybe we can get directions." She nodded at him and proceeded down the hall.
