Kurai heard something and turned her view to see Zhin. "Zhin! Its good to see you!" She paused when he asked them what they were doing. Kurai lifted an arm waving it around with the rock in hand. She grinned, "Were going to take these rocks for a walk!" She giggled sticking her tounge out her mouth. "What are you doing here, Zhin?" She eyed him noticing he was tired, but after the run to get there she doesn't blame him. "You want some water Zhin?" She asked with a hint of concern in her voice.

"Just 500ft, kurai" he said it with confidence, but knew from experience, 500 ft. with 30 pound rocks in each hand up a mountain was a long and grueling part of the training. The pair had begun up the mountain, Kurai was jittering all over the place, she'd be completely worn out by the time they would get to the top. The training had just begun, the morning was barely peaking over the mountain, she was gonna hate him for this, but it had to be done.

"Kurai, Fulgar!"(did i say that in the wrong order?)

Fulgar turned round a few seconds after kurai, Zhin was walking right up behind them. He was sweating like crazy must have been some effort climbing this mountain the hard way that he had come, Fulgar and Kurai had climbed it but they were weaving around rather than scale it straight up, Fulgar knew because he was an Earthbender he'd come straight up. "Zhin!" Fulgar yelled "hey, man, what's up? we're taking these rocks up to the 500 ft. mark" Fulgar motioned with his head and grinned at Kurai's comment. "I'd shake your hand, but" Fulgar lifted the rocks showing his hands were full "ah, screw it" Fulgar put the other rock in his left arm freeing up the right and stuck it out to shake. Kurai offered him water, he had to agree with her, he looked like he needed it. "Zhin, you wanna travel with us to the temple?" Fulgar offered the friend from Omashu.

He laughed he remeberd having to do excersizes with rocks. Zhin took his hand and shook it sturnley. "Then let go shaking his head declining the water, "I am fine just need to take it easy for a bit." He then stomped and had the rock land in his hand, then handed it to Fulgar, "I will gladley go to the Air temple with you." he smiled "Whats the stones for? Not trying to Earth bend are we?" and then looked over ar Kuri and winked, slightly levatating it, not noticible by the human eye, but just to the feel.

"Now to finish this move up!" He thought, as he held his arms out, and imagined his Chi flowing out of his hands, and attaching itself to the slashes of frozen water on the ground there were several, so it took him a few seconds to attach itself to all of the suaves of ice. So he looked like he was doing nothing but holding his arms out. He felt a cold sweat run down his spine, this was a difficult movement, which involved entombing yourself in ice.

He brought his hands back to his center, making small, but swift circular motions, his eyes were closed and he was panting, the motions were actually simpler than the visualizations, a masterwaterbender has to clear his mind of anything but his bending,he could see everything clearly, his mind's eye was painting a very vivid, picture, and this picture was being drawn at a snails pace. There was a coccoon... He feltcold begin to spread through his bones, his body was still moving, but everymotion he commanded of his body, hurt, and felt heavy.

The suaves of ice inched across the floor, gliding towards Taizen by some sort of magnetic pull, or a better visual was that they were being pulled by ropes of silk, and Taizen, was pulling them, as fast as he could, trying to keep his concentration. For it seemed that the silk's strength came from his will to bend. There were several picks of ice, and sometimes one of them would stop, the audience would be puzzled by it, but that was fine, as long as Taizen continued his bending.

His foot became paralyzed, he couldn't move it, it felt like a chunk of Ice. Slowly, he felt the feeling attach itself to his other leg, and begin creeping it's way higher, he felt his lower body become numb, the feeling crept upward to his arms, the feeling of cold touched these parts, but they hadn't locked them in place like they had his legs. He felt his neck stiffen, to his face.

The ice attached itself to his feet, the more ice that came, the more it creeped upwards, until covered Taizen's entire body. The audience oo'ed, and ahh'ed, at the model of ice in front of them, this was an interesting thing to see, for true, waterbender's could do something remarkably similar with snow, but this was hardened ice. Some villages in the fire nation, that lived near volanoes, were sometimes fossilized by sudden waves of Lava, freezing the person in a statue of soot. Taizen had simply frozen himself in his state of bending. He took slow, shallow breaths inside the statue, he had stopped moving his hands, the result of his non-stop movement had prevented himself from freezing his hands, and he could move them in the small pocket that it had created. He couldn't see out of the ice, there were too much ripples, and icicles, but this meant that they couldn't see him either. Several minutes passed, and taizen concentrated on his breathing during that time, it was hard, but scaring people was definately worth it.

After a few more minutes, the people started to talk, concerned that Taizen was not going to get out of the frozen cage. Just as expected, and on schedule, he saw movement in the form of shades of blue- Taikai he put his face close to the ice, he was grinning, and his face was contorted against the ice, Taizen would have stuck out his tongue, but he didn't want it to freeze, and endure it until the climax of the show. He saw Taikai turn around, and he heard a large wail come from somewhere outside the ice, this was Taikai putting on a big show;
"He'd dead! He's dead! A horrible bending-accident!"

He preached in a rehearsed manner, immediatley, the older airbender that had talked to Taizen about the show, jumped on stage; aided by airbending, showing that Taikai wasn't the only elderly person who could still bend a whirlwind-literally. The old man peered into the ice, and Taizen closed his eyes, and did not open them until he heard excited mutterings audible by the crowd, apparently, he was being pronounced dead. The whole time, Taikai wailed, and thenhe saw several other shapes nearing him, there was a shattering sound, accompanied by the sounds of a gasping crowd, as well as the thud of surprised people falling on they're butt's. Taizen grinned victoriously, standing in the center of a crunchy covering of ice, the center of Attention, as he liked, it had been qorth it. Visualization: Silk, encasing the body, and breaking free all at once. His mid-bending exhibition over.

(Dime's deathday anniversary was today 12/8/06)

Fulgar laughed "and what if we are trying to earthbend? I am a firm believer that earthbenders and the avatar shouldnt be the only ones to be able to bend earth." Fulgar stuck out his tongue and laughed. "Zhin, I was wondering if you could do me a favor, i was gonna ask Jonah to do it for me but he took off before i had my chance, I was wondering if you could craft me a pair of stone gloves, open on the palms." Fulgar was really hopeful that Zhin could do this for him, the rock would prove to be good armor for his hands it would definetely be able to take a beating.

Fulgar waited for the answer of the favor he asked of Zhin then said "alright, we better get going up this mountain if we wanna get there." Fulgar began walking with a pair of rocks in his hands weighing his whole body down. The muscles in his legs contracted then loosened with the strain of carrying his bulk up the mountain. He wasnt going to talk till he got to the 500 feet he had to get to, talking would wear out his lungs making it harder to intake in breath and harder to keep control. By now the sun was peaking above the horizon, when they got their Fulgar had to explain to Kurai about Ka the energy of fire, there was alot of information to be explained, this would take a bit but it was essential to understand to be a good firebender. You mustnt take for granted the gift of bending.

(*edited! sorry I posted when I was halfway asleep at midnight ^^; )

Kurai smiled seeing both of them get along so well making jokes and what not. She was distracted by the colors in the sky by the rising sun coming while Fulgar carried a conversation on with Zhin. Fulgar began walking up the mountain and Kurai instinticly followed. She had to admitt the weight from the rocks in her hand were slowing and tiring her down. She was use to stairs but not the weight of something so heavy in both hand. Kurai swayed side to side trying to distribute the weight of the rocks and control her breathing. She didn't mind but she was slowly fasing in and out of dreaming. Kurai was exhausted from the trip and the weight plus the walk up wasn't helping. She was straining to balance all these things, Breathing, walking, weights, listing, and focusing. She could feel the air getting thinner since she began to feel lighter headed. Getting close to the 500ft Kurai could feel the unbalance in her feet due to the weight. It was getting harder for her to walk and not fall down. Doing her best to keep her breathing and walking normal she continued walking up the moutain without complaining, after all she would do her best to accomplish her goal.

She had watched with lips pressed tightly together. She had seen something similar. It was almost like elemental armor. It had always been amazing to watch such a act. Leaning back on heels she waited patiently for Taizen to make his exit from the ice encased cage. Her head tilted somewhat as she listened to the people start to talk, probably wondering the same as herself..was Taizen alright? She didn't expect the teacher's act and upon hearing 'dead' her eyes went wide.

Accident?!

She stood from her spot, making a motion for the boy before her to remain sitting. She watched Taikai as she weaved through the crowd and closer to the dais. Her brows shot down as she stopped nearby. This was too well preached. Practiced. Her nose wrinkled when she realized she had fallen for the shop. Pff.

Her arms folded and her mismatched gaze shifted towards Taikai. By the glare it was almost as if she was scolding the old man. The crack and shatter of ice grabbed her attention and she turned her attention towards the Taizen as he made his grand exit from the ice. She could just tell by the grin on his face that he was eating up the cheering crowd. She just stood there, arms folded and watching. By this time the look on her face was hard to read.

She released a small sigh of relief though, her eyes resting on Taizen. Eventually she chuckled and clapped along with the crowd. Before he figured out..she had been worried...

That's all she needed..more to add to his already huge ego..

A few of the monks that had been surprised by Taizen's reappearance into the living world huffed as they returned to the crowd, it must have been pretty embarrasing to have fallen for the trick, but Taizen had to say: 'Taikai sure did put a bit of work into it, it even looked like he had bended some water onto his face from a hidden flask in his sleeve. Taizen didn't even know he carried water around with him! But a waterbender isn't anything without water to bend, so, since Taikai wanted to be safe, he had brought some water with him on the start of the journey. "Thank you for being here to watch the exhibition, if you would be so kind as to allow me to finish the last of my performance, I would be very appreciative." He kneeled and bowed to the audience, with his head low, and his arms out, as he bowed, he closed his eyes and concentrated on his Chi, the flasks hidden in the area's hidden to the crowd shuddered as the wate rbegan to swish around. He was already continuing with the exhibition, speaking to them was just a ploy to surprise the, and quieting them down couldn't hurt his performance. Taikai had already shuffled off the stage with a big grin on hsi face, as if to say: 'I got you!' Which seemed to amuse some of the people. Taikai met Niima's eyes, he shrugged as Niima glared dissapprovingly, but smiled all the more when Niima began to smile again.

Her eyes closed and she released a small sigh. She didn't know who was worst at giving her heart failure..She was just glad she had caught wind of the false words from Taikai otherwise she might of been embarassed to no end jumping up and wind-slicing at the ice.

Her eyes opened and she turned her attention back to Taikai. After a few moments of consideration she started weaving her way towards him. Once a few feet away she turned towards the dais, mumbling softly so that Taikai..and only he..could hear. "I would like to speak with you, Master Taikai."

She fell silent, eyes lifting to watch Taizen in his last stage of his performance. She simply waited to see if Taikai would listen to her words, give her another time to talk, or turn her away completely.
PostPosted: Sun Dec 10, 2006 12:11 pm

Taikai's brow lifted in interest, responding in an equally hushed voice, or perhaps more so as the crowd quieted down. "Is it about the exhibition? I tried to get him to do a more tame routine, but he seems to enjoy keeping the crowd on edge. What is it you want to speak of, if that is not the case?" Taikai suspected that it was more than a complaint that Niima wanted to talk about, if she wanted to keep the conversation private.
AS the crowd quieted, Taizen rose to one knee and began to wave his arms around him wildly, above, around, over, everywhich way his hands could move, he was creating a race track in his mind, where several of his Chi's were moving, his eyes were closed to enhance the details of his invisible circuit.

The water in each of jumped out, simultaneouslythe water had been stewing in different dryed herbs, some with different combinations of roots, stems, leaves, and petals, by the process of diffusion, each of the flasks' water ahd been stained a different color, one was a vivid see through pink, the other a dark blue that seemed very thick; like syrup, the other was a dark green, that carried with it some remnants of the herbs inside it. There was a another whip of water that was a pale yellow, it hadn't completely been staned yellow, but Taizen was glad that had not happened, other wise it would have been reminiscent of bending urine.

Taizen moved his hands furiously, not once stopping. A second too late, and the colored whip would fall off it's invisible circuit, and crash into another. The circuit it was intricate, a whip would make a circular motion up, then trickled down, before making a wide arc around the circuit, pass an inch near by the circular rising whip mentioned previously. Taizen's hands were moving furiously, and everyso often a whip would clash with another, and Taizen would begin a whole new circuit-similar, but not the same as the one before. This level of bending was hard for Taizen, the octopus form was difficult, but compared to creating a channel for the water to move through infinitely, made the octopus form seem relaxing.

She remained silent for several minutes, observing Taizen almost thoughtfully. Eventually she focused back on Taikai. "No. Besides that little heartfailure you two designed to give, the exhibition is going splendedly. It's a different matter.." Her head tilted so that she could look and judge Taikai's reaction to her next words. "Taizen has..in some sort of way..requested that I join on your travels. However, I am not one to jump headlong into something without thinking of the conditions. I am not sure he has even brought this subject up with you and surely I wouldn't join if it distasted his Master. Also there is the subject of my animal companion, Guardian..Please understand...I have made no decision I am simply weighing options.."

Blunt..to the point.. but in it's own way strategically said. She waited for his physical reation before looking away to study the waterbending student again. She still didn't know what she planned on doing and she also didn't know how long she had until she had to make that choice. For now she wanted to get the simple details out of the way.

Settling back into watching the show she began to lean back on her heels, not in a rocking gesture but simply leaning back. Taizen was skilled, that she couldn't deny. But there was something that ate at her..maybe it was something more personal when it came to waterbenders..who knows..but the feeling was shoved deep within. She wouldn't let the past rear it's ugly head..not now.
PostPosted: Sun Dec 10, 2006 2:26 pm

Taikai looked surprised, he glanced over to Taizen, morely to stare in amazement. But the amazement was not for the bending.

Taizen kept on creating the circuit every time he made a mistake, the audience didn't seem to notice the continual mistakes Taizen made, awed by the colors, the speed, and the different colored flashes created when the firelight reflected in the water. When Taizen's arms were beginning to tire, and he was sweating profusely, Taizen stood up to his full height, throwing his arms into the air above him, the whips flew upward, regardless of the position they were in. Taizen opened his eyes, and brought his hands out, making his hands circle eachother, the whips made a circle of different colored water, where the water touched each other, the hues became blurred, and created different ones, the yellow and blue to green, the pink and blue to purple, the pink and green to what looked like a muddy red.

Taikai sighed heavily before looking back at Niima.
"In truth, Taizen does not know the true reason I am training him." Taikai decided to divulge the information now, so that Niima would understand everything perfectly. His voice went even lower than before. "The war... Is not a rumor, in the northern tribes, I found evidence of this... I was informed that there would be a war. Between whom the northern tribe chieftan did not inform me. But he did inform me nonetheless, that if there was a war, the northern tribes would be well defended. But the southern tribe still hasn't recovered from it's last war. I am going to train the southern benders, heading inconspicuosly to the public eyes as simply a bender and his student heading home. The less people know, the better. Which is why I have not yet told Taizen. I am telling you, because Taizen trusts you, enough to want you to travel with us."

He glanced up as the Audience 'ooed' again. "But if the war drags the people of air to battle, as would be the worst case scenario in my mind." Taikai said this because the air nomads were even more thinly spread than the water tribes. "I would not want to take away, another bender, or another person from they're people." He paused to allow his words to sink in, he saw lean back a bit, either to get away from the waterbender, or from the effect of his words, it didn't matter. "Your companion can come with us, but if you decide not to come with us, I need your vow of silence!"

Each of Taikai's words were barely above a whisper, the only word that could be heard completely, and clearly, was 'silence!' His face looked very stern, and he seemed to hate himself for telling Niima this information, but Taizen would surely have argued with him about leaving without her, and probably not stop trying to convince Niima to come with them. So, the only way to stop Taizen for sure, was to have the both of them convince Taizen. And if Niima came with them, and she became a casualty of war, he would not be able to forgive himself for allowing it to happen. Niima had to pick one of the two. This was cruel to force Niima to pick between ultimatums."It is your choice..." Telling Niima this was dangerous, this could possibly affect the fate of the southern water tribe. If the air nomads fought in the war, then they would have a bit of information that could entirely wipe out the southern tribe.

(( biggrin Stirring up teh pot. This will make the coming war way more fun. ^.^ ))

Fulgar pushed on up the mountain, his bones being pulled from their sockets with the weight of the rocks. The stress was astounding then *pop* he felt a tiny pop in both arms and relief came swimming back into his being. He finally made it to the 500 ft. point that they had been working so hard to get to. The sun had fully risen it was probably about 10 o'clock in the morning by now.

Fulgar dropped the rocks and stretched and moved his arms around. "How ya doing, Kurai?" Fulgar asked "breathing ok?" now was for the intellectual part of all of the training, possibly the most important thing is knowing about it all rather than just doing.

Fulgar walked a little ways and found a pair rocks facing each other Fulgar stripped himself of his coat, and his scythe. "sit" Fulgar ordered Kurai the rocks were perfect, nice and flat. They'd be here for a while. "Zhin, this may take a while. If you like you can sit here and listen in on the lesson, or you can practice bending, it's up to you, it would be good to hear this no matter what your bending is." Fulgar sat cross legged on the stone his back and neck compeltely in line with each other, he didnt seem the type but this was a meditation position. His hands sat in his lap his lids shut on his eyes he breath in deeply and let out deeply.

Fulgar began the lesson "Fire..." he said collecting his throughts the best to get this through easy was to go through in detail if he didnt then big gaping holes would be left in the lesson. "Fire is made up of positive jin. Unlike earthbenders, who wait for the right moment to attack, we will attack head on. Fire, Air, and Earth each have jin. We are positive or attacking, earth is neutral or defending, and air is negative, or retreating." Fulgar tried to explain the types of jin, water didnt have jin because their defense is their offense.

"Each element uses a specific energy. Earth is chi, water is sui, air is Fū and fire is Ka. Each of the energies represents the element being used. All people have each energy in them, but only one is utilized, the avatar has the ability to utilize the purest of the energies it is Kū, Kū is the energy of the spirit world, a pure mix of all the elements." Fulgar let that sink in before continuing to explain about Ka.

"Ka, the energy of fire, is represented by the stomach and metabolism, it is fuelled by passion, rage, desire, and drive. It is created by the heat of the body, which seperates us from all other benders, we dont need an external source for our bending. It represents the powerful, forceful, moving kinetic energy in the world." Once again Fulgar paused to let the information get into the body. "Any questions?" Fulgar asked hopeful that she was getting the information.

Fulgar kept going loading the information, just piling it on. "Fire can be described while fighting as 'pounding' or exploding the fist outward like a cannon while still blocking. The elements can be shown in a fashion like this:" Fulgar then drew in the dirt in front of him this symbol:
Diagram

"Each element has an opposite and each element has defining factors connecting it to the others. Our opposite is water, our defining factors are hot and dry connecting us to air and earth." Fulgar wasnt sure if he was making sense or not. He wasnt done yet, but he wanted to answer any questions Kurai had. "Questions?"
