Whoa. Like, Whoa. I can't read all that. ><

Oh, right. I'm supposed to be telling you people about myself. Well, then. Let's get jiggy with it, shall we?

I R PATCH. My gaia friends call me Patchy. But my friend Music, who can't dance a step, calls me PATCHYYYYY. I am twelve years old and my real name is asdfghjkl. Oh, wait. No. That's not right. My real name is Madison and my close friends call me Maddie. I don't mind if you do that, if you want. I have been dancing since I was three, and this coming Thursday, I will start my tenth year of dance. I have been doing jazz, tap, ballet, and occansional variations of the three for nine years. [Ten this Thursday. [: ] Last year was my first year of pointe. One day, I hope to work for a company. My body probably isn't built for dancing, but the funny thing is I can do things better than the ones who are 'built for dancing'. I weigh about 130 lbs. You probably think I am pretty fat, but I'm not. My parents thought that too and they took me to the doctor and asked what they should do. He told them they didn't need to do anything. The only reason I weighed that much was because I have a big bone structure. My leg bone was as wide as the big end of a baseball bat. I was born on November 6, 1994, and will turn thirteen soon. I don't want to turn thirteen for two reasons: Harder homework and I don't get to choose from the kids menu anymore at restaurants. ]: I am such a dork and a loser. Everyone knows me because I am crazy and I am smarttt. I've made straight A's since kindergarten. I like to laugh alot. I will laugh if I see other people laughing, even if I don't know what the heck they're talking about. I don't cuss. I think later it will be a bad influence on my children. About the only 'cuss word' I say is crap. That's about it. I have huge shoulders. Like, they're really wide. I look exactly like my daddy when he was my age. I wear glasses all the time, except for shows and pictures. And sleeping, too. I can sing really well, and probably would be a good model, but my parents won't let me model. My passion is dancing. I am to be a student teacher this coming dance season. I have danced in The Great Russian Nutcracker in '03, '04, and '06. The only reason I didn't do it in '05 was because Katrina hit Mississippi, and by the time they did the Nutcracker, I was cleaning up my community. Last year, it was so funny, my mom and my dance teacher came to watch the tryouts and the poor russian lady didn't know what to do with me. Everyone else in my age group had already gone off the stage and I was the only one who was 11 up there. I was still up there when the 14-18 year olds were doing pointe. I had barely even started pointe, so I wasn't gonna try out for it. Finally, she sent me off stage with my letter of acceptance or rejection. And as you've probably guessed, I got accepted. Their website is www.nutcracker.com. I am thinking about auditioning for the world tour next year, or maybe the year after that. It's so thrilling to think about it. Even if I don't get in, I will know that I tried and I got this far already. My dance school. Sandy's Dance, is probably one of the least known in Mississippi. But surprisingly, my teacher used to work at one of the most well-known dance schools in Mississippi, Donna's School of Performing Arts. We do not have a competition program, and I don't need to compete to know that I am a good dancer. I didn't make the dance team last year, but it was okay. It was my first time and my nerves got the better of me. My used-to-be friend got in, but she got help from one of the student teachers whom she was friends with. I believe that is unfair, but I don't complain about it that much. Anyway, I've been writing this for like, an hour, and I think it might be long enough now, so...

Kind of a lot. You have been warned.

Hey y'all. My name is Catherine. I'm going to be 16 in December. I'm a junior in high school. I've been dancing for about ten years. I take about twelve dance classes a week which includes tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical, and contemporary along with some classes that are just based on strengthening our (the dancers) muscles. I also sub for our regular teachers for the younger kids.

My likes are dancing, singing, playing the flute, hanging out with friends, and having fun (duh? haha)

Some of my dislikes are stupid people. I can't stand them. And I absolutely hate cockroaches, which sucks because my dance studio seems to be infested of something. It's kinda ridiculous.

My real name's Paige. I'm 16 going on 17 this week. I've been in ballet since I was 4. Then I did gymnastics when I turned 7. I do ballet, musical theater, and tap dancing.
I love to sing. I go to an art school for vocal. I want to take figure skating lessons sometime before I graduate, because it just seems fun.

My name's Arthien. I'm 17 years old and I've been dancing for 14 years. I used to do a bit of everything, except hip-hop stuff, but now I'm just doing lyrical and pointe. I've only been doing pointe for four years, and I'm still not fantastic at it, but I absolutely love it. I'm doing a variation from "Carmen" this year for my solo. My team from last year was accepted to audition for the United States Dance Team, and we made it but we didn't compete in Germany. Too 'spensive!
Aside from dance, though, I'm into acting and singing, and I love sewing! I'm the head of costume crew for the high school's winter play. It's absolutely the most fun I have outside of dance.
If you ever wanna talk to me, I love meeting new friends! PM me about anything!
Ciao,
Arthien

hmm... I am 16 years old. I have danced hula every since I was mayb 3-4. I absolutly love love love it!! I have the best kumu (teacher) and love to be with my Japanese and Kauai hula sisters. It is the only dancing I have ever done but I think that other types would be fun expecially like ballet and the kind that does tricks like spins and jumps.
Other things I like to do is draw, paint, read, write, play diabolo (chinese yoyo), play with little children, watch others dance, cook, and many other things. I have just recently started collage so might not always be on. I hope to make many many new friends and learn about every kind of dancing.
Another thing I like is anything japanes. I have always wanted to learn the language. There dance is also pretty too ^-^.
If anyone wants to know anything you can send a pm or post on my profile okay ^-^. Bye

Hi!...My name is Carlos from Puerto Rico, and I'm a tap dancer on it's way to be a musical theatre performer... I've taken jazz and ballet also, but I'm no good in neither. I've taken dance class since I was 13... and I love the "Premier" tap dance shoe by Capezio... I hate that they discontinued it... DAMN THOSE NEW SHOES WITH INCREDIBLY BAD FABRICATION!!!!

i'll make this as short and simple as possible.
i do not give out my real name online. but you can call me Ri, Lust, Illy, or Verse (they're all in the username).

I started dance when i was 2 years old.
i've been dancing on and off ever since. i think in total i've been dancing for roughly 16 years, in jazz, tap, and ballet.
when i first started it was just for fun, but later at about 6 years old, a school teacher of mine saw me dancing in a school program and told my grandmother that she had to get me in some serious ballet training. so she recommended another studio, and i started doing a more serious form of ballet than what i was accustomed to.
put it short, i fell in love with it. but all through my childhood i had self esteem issues and always thought very lowly of myself, and when i was moved up to higher level classes before my friends, i freaked out and stopped dancing for a year.
things like this kept happening on and off until i was 12. then i stopped, and suddenly started working my a** off. at 13 i was moved to the highest level of ballet classes my studio offered. but not long after that, i sustained my first injury, and dislocated my left knee by dropping my heel from a pirouette.
i was out for 3 years trying to get up the nerve to try again. i did finally, and started back. i had gained weight, and lost a lot of ability in that time..
when i finally started to get back to the level i should have been dancing, i turned my heel out farther than my knee could turn in fourth position, and dislocated my knee a second time. this time the recovery came much quicker with a better doctor, and a better physical therapist. 3 months later, it popped out of place a 3rd time.

i'm still recovering and working hard, and hope that i will be able to join some type of professional company soon.
my pointe work is lacking but i'm progressing quickly.

my second love is rhythm tap. and have competed with a competition team while tapping to such songs as "hotel california" and r kelly's "i believe i can fly" and it is my plan in the near future to attempt a tap waltz. wish me luck on that.
