Her brow was creased in worry at the fact that she saw nothing at fault with this book. What was it...pressing her hand agianst the surface though she felt like she was going to be ill and a slight stabbing pain began in the back of her eyes but she continued reading the words and they began to become fuzzy agianst the pain that was in her eyes. She wasn't able to make out the words anymore, they weren't making sense to her poor confounded mind.

"Oh creator.." She mummered softly, frowning as she attempted to continue reading.

Wes felt Kali's pain as he was weaving, and immediately stopped. He stood up and walked behind her, massaging her temples. He knew almost nothing of healing, and thus could not do much else. "If something is wrong, maybe you should take a break from that one." He said both softly and gently. He knew how she got with her books, but she wasn't feeling well, and he didn't want her hurting. She would have plenty of time to figure it out, or at least that was how Wes saw it.

Shivering she tapped the pages with a finger "Try reading this Wes..." She said softly turning to him ingorant of the fingers at her temples and held the book out to him. "It is...vile" She said softly, shivering once more at the thought of reading that thing. But she wanted to, she felt like she had to, even though it was vile. Why was it causing her so much pain though and what was this...feeling? This book shouldn't be here, and how had she come to pick it up? It should be burned that was for sure, that way it could never cause anyone pain agian.

Wes lifted the book on air, and felt the evil before he even began to read, or try to. He continued to massage Kali, but his reading was to no avail. The book closed and flew to land on the bed. "I don't like it." He said. "I don't think you should be reading this one, I can take care of it."

She gave a weak smile feeling slightly sick to her stomach from the effects of the book and she nodded even though his hands continueds to rub, working to a degree to lessen the stabbing pain in her temples. "Thank you...but perhaps finding its true nature first would be a good idea. It could hold things of great value in it" She shivered slightly once more at the thought. What was so evil that it could be of good value?

Wes sniffed at the idea of Kali reading the book again. "I cannot let you read that until you are fully recovered. My job as a Warder is to keep you safe, and that book isn't safe. Only my love for you, and sympathy for what you love even lets me consider not burning the book here and now." He grumbled. He noticed she was shivering and heated up the room some. He would have to finish working out his temperature regulating weave soon. He almost had it...

"Thank you. I love you too. But it could be of great importance..whatever is in that book. Lets wake the girl and see if she had the same issues" She stood with a slight smile and then moved towards the little girl resting a hand on the shoulder and shaking gently "Child, wake up"

Oh my Was the first thought to come to Kali's poorly confused mind riddled with slight anxiety at the fact that she seemed so posseded by this book that seemed so..wrong

"Dear child I am Kali. Earlier this morning you watched Wes and I in the training field and then we ran off. I came back and you were bleeding severely. Please, be a dear, and put the book down? I'd like to look over it. And besides all that we now know how you can speak, isn't that right little one?" She asked softly, a smile coming over her features.

Wes had almost incinerated poor Lily when she leaped up and took the book. As it was, his hand was on his sword hilt now, a shield jammed between Lily and the Source. Somehow there had been a voice, but Lily couldn't talk, or so they thought. But when the little girl reached up, he moved his hand from his sword. Maybe now was the chance to make her not afraid of him, if Shielding her hadn't done that. He decided to stay silent again, and let Kali do the talking. He was too high strung at the moment to deal with a scared little girl.

Her memories seemed to return to her like water being poured into a cup. It was liquid, quick, and clear. Lily's eyes lit up as she remembered. Somehow, she seemed to know how to speak by mind since she had found the book and receievd the scar. Her brows furrowed a little in a frown that was very comical yet serious for her, at the words of leaving the book. Her scar slowly dimmed, yet was visible on her chest still. It was as if it were given to her by the book itself. It held color, much like a tattoo, yet all who had been with her knew it was a scar.

"I'm really sorry, but I can't.. You see... It chose me..."

The girl's voice seemed more mature, and more, her image seemed to be older. Could it be that this girl was under a curse and the curse was lifted by the book? Lily's blue eyes held a maturity in it that hadn't been seen before she had spoken. In reality, she had grown. She was taller, her face wasn't as pale and held a healthy hue, and she seemed to know more about the world since she had before. None had noticed her change, for the change had been quick yet quite slow. It had been since she had first touched the book that the curse had been lifted. Why had there been a curse? Perhaps the book would show the answer.

((OK, I'm not sure if this can be used in the White Tower RP. But maybe the book could hold secrets none had seen before? And Lily could be the one who was chosen to atke care of the book. Basically, a curse was put on her by some unknown person. Keeping her away from the world, leaving her almost memoriless after one nights of sleep, and also keeping her in a child's form. Actually, she is almost 16. The book freed her from the curse somehow, and she changed.))

Kali wrinkled her nose slightly in distaste "I do not think it chose you for a good reason, Child. I felt...simply filthy while reading it. Wheather or not it chose you it would not be wise to keep it your posession for it could very well have killed you. Who's to say it will not do so agian?" She said shaking her head and turning her head slightly to study Wes. He definately needed a vacation, then agian at least she wasn't traveling about at the moment. That always had him in a knot.

"It would be wise to destroy it or tuck it away. Actually, child, I gave you no permission to take that book. Did I? If you were to take it from me I do believed that is called stealing. That is an action that is frowned upon and I would have to take action. I do not like theives, but I do favor you. Please put the book down" Kali said, her eyes going back to the child. She now took note of the subtle differences and almost went as far as to take a small thread of air and block the door so that it could not be opened. More then likely Wes was taking action to, though she didn't know for sure.

(No problem)

Lily's memories had been returned to her. The curse had lifted, and all around the room the feeling of it lifting was felt.

Lily soon felt a weave of air seal the door that led outside. Anger filled her mind, fire blazed in her blue eyes. It was as if the movement had maddened this girl that was no longer a girl but a young lady of 16 years.

"What did you think I was going to do? Run?"

The anger suddenly seemed to vanish as her gaze softened. Her features no longer looked angry, but relaxed.

"Why am I to give the book to you, if you were the one who took it from me? I found it, it was in the ground. If not for me, you would not have seen it at all."

Inside, Lily was hurt. Why do these people wish to take my book? It's not evil, I know it isn't. It was just trying to tell me something by the dream. Something was wrong in it. I justk know.

Kali straightened her own posture going stiff and her eyes growing slightly cold. Kali couldn't belive the child spoke back or picked up that tone with her.

"You are the one who took it from MY room. And perhaps it was in the ground for a good reason. I thought you might run because you are being confronted. Cornered animals tend to run or snap when cornered." If Wes had the shielding down then the girl wouldn't be snapping with the One Power, though if she lashed out with fists Kali was confident she could counter it.

Her posture was straight as she mind-spoke. It was heard from all sides of the room.

"Very well, take it. I guess it’s the only thing I can do for you after taking me back and lifting the curse that was laid out on me."

Lily’s voice was pained. Tears formed in her eyes at the icy eyes of the woman and the cold tone. Pushing the book to Kali, she turned around with her hands on her face. The air weave that was blocking the door broke as she ran towards and out of the door, disappearing into the night with salty drops dropping from her pure blue eyes and white staff in her hands. Suddenly, she couldn’t move any longer, it was like a kind and soft person were pushing her back. Instead of heeding, Lily sat down on the floor of the hallway, crying at being called an animal. Silently sobbing at being treated as she had been just for something that was rightfully hers. The blue gem on the staff glowed in unison with the glowing scar on her chest. The sign of the scar was floating in the blue gem as if the book, Lily, and the staff were all connected.
