Our's is called Passion, Fire, and Dance. It is a tribute to dance and our four movements are based on songs from ballets that are supposedly famous. The only song I'd actually heard before was the Firebird Suite.

Here's mine... The Mansfield High School Tiger Band proudly presents its 2006 program, Cathedral Windows. Through the contrast of both dark and light mentally and visually stimulating muical dynamics, our band well embark on a journey through the adventure and story of Stained Glass. From the elegant visions of peaceful swans, to the bone-chilling effects from a devilish smirk, this musical enterage will have you hungry for more. With conversions of music from the motion picture, Van Helsing, and the beautiful Eric Whitacre's Water Night, the show is packed with pleasing sounds to the ear, accompanied by visually stimulating visuals. To hear some of our music, go to.. http://www.myspace.com/mhstigerband

Anyway, Like I said, we're doing Chronometry. And you know, it's really cool, but I actually have a part, which is amazing cause I never get the part ((being a bass clarinet player)) As for you people playing stuff like Cirque Du Soliel and Phantom of the Opera, I wanna be in your band!!!

This year I found out something:
Swing tunes and drills don't mix well. For the band members at least...
We're playing More Today Than Yesterday by Spiral Staircase, and don't get me wrong, I love the song, but it swings. And aside from that, we're doing like the most difficult drill ever....
It involves a gigantic circle with little circles inside of it all rotating in different directions, at different times, etc. I happen to be in the huge circle, which by the way is really hard to get to look like a circle from the ground since the curves are so gradual.
