Getsumei stared in terror as something from the darkness turned to look directly at him and then came running high speed towards where he was standing. Frozen in fear he could only gulp as an arm reached out to grab at him. The next thing he knew he blacked out.
Later tired eyes fluttered open. And Getsumei looked around. Was he... back within the barrier? He felt sick and glanced around groggily. He slowly got to his feet and decided to take a look around. He didn't even want to think about what it was that had grabbed him. He pushed that horrible thought from his mind.
As he wandered he started to feel better.

Rolled the wrong dice. Whoops. Lol Let's try this again. Getsumei has wandered some more and made sure to stay far away from the barrier this time. He stumbled across a building that had been closed off during the day. Using his skills he manages to get inside. Whoa! A treasure trove of items! These were things the shrine sold during the day! He made sure to grab one ofuda. Maybe it'd protect him if he ran into that thing from earlier. He could only hope. Ofuda: 1 link

 With a frustrated growl Mezcla wandered around, annoyed he had managed to exit the shrine but hopeful he could find something interesting outside. As he padded around he noted the others looking around and seeming to have better luck than he did. He shook his head and tried to get back to his upbeat attitude. This was fine! After all they had all night to hunt and search and this was just the beginning! With a grin he was back with a bounce in his step and he started searching anew!

Oooookay, that was absolutely terrifying. Galatea was shaking from the encounter with... whatever the heck that was. She had been thankful that the Ofuda had helped save her but... that was the only one she had and she was terrified that it may happen again. Though as she continued to explore, she found herself at the main shrine and let herself in.

Getting into the shrine she stumbled into what looks to be a library of sorts. Though looking at the books for a while, she notices that its not really that intriguing. Whelp, best get back to searching.

Kokonoi went over to investigate one of the buildings that had been guarded during the day. It had to be important if they had a guard posted, right? He just couldn't seem to figure out how to get in, though. He made a mental note to learn to lockpick later.

Mezcla spent a few minutes examining the charm he found, wondering if it was a real charm or just a festival trinket made for kids to carry around. He hoped it was real, he felt he would need all the luck he could get tonight. Idly he wondered if he could also get a charm to help him focus better. That would be nice.

She wandered around inside the Shrine. Finding another library like room. Unfortunately like the other one, it was just old daily task diaries again. Whelp that was annoying. Time to wander around inside again.

Kokonoi ventured back into the building and ended up at yet another locked door. Or was it the same one as before? It was kind of hard to tell in the dark like this. Either way, he needed to keep moving.

The next room Kokonoi stumbled upon was more interesting. A store room, it seemed, with boxes and even some weapons lying around. Not that he could make use of them. They were still neat to look at, though.

Kokonoi ended up in a room full of books next. Books weren't really his gig, but he looked at a few anyway. They were pretty much useless. As expected. Anyway, moving on.

Amia looked around the room she came to, at least this one was not locked, like the last one she came upon. She walked inside, to get a good look around, but it seemed so devoid of anything, other than a cushion in the middle. She walked to the cushion, to make sure she wasn't missing something, when she saw something sticking out. She lifted the cushion gently, finding a wind good luck charm. Well, it may not be her element for this one, but maybe it would still prove lucky for her. She put it into the bag she was carrying her other things. She headed out, coming to another room, however, it was another locked room. With Mezcla back outside he ended up a little too close to the shrine boundary by one of the torii with some trees next to it marked with a shimenawa (an enclosing rope wrapped around a couple of trees). A noise drew his attention past the shimenawa wrapped trees and he spotted a dark shape out in the fog. The shape was just standing in the what one would assume the distance but the fog made it too hard to tell how far away something really was. It then rushed towards him running on two legs like a human but it was bigger than any human seen before. Arms reached out for him, passing through the barrier, but a flash of light blinded him and made the shape flinch with a hiss. The dark shape is no where to be seen once the bright light dissipates. The ofuda he had on him floated gently to the ground burning until only a pile of ash remained. Bittersweet Contradiction Your ofuda has been used and can be removed from your tracking in the meta. You still get to keep it as a trinket but it is no longer usable in this meta. If you end up rolling and getting more you can track those ones.

Oho, a kitchen! Kokonoi decided since he had managed to find the place, it would be the perfect time to have a snack. He'd spent long enough watching all the humans trot around with their treats, it was only fair to let him have some too.
