Christian shrugged. "Maybe the tub will be overflowing with blood and body parts?" he suggested, semi-hopeful that it would be just that; so far the haunted house hadn't lived up to its name, the main part at least. With Jun leading the way, the blonde popped his head in the door, doing a sweep of the room before he stepped inside. There wasn't anything to it, just a regular ole bathroom, and he huffed in disappointment.
Catching Jun's reaction, and the edge of the curtain, he pulled it back to reveal within the tub a small puddle of blood, beside a dismembered foot; it wasn't a moat of blood, but it was something! Christian let the curtain fall back before moving forward to join Jun in the bedroom. "Are you seeing something I'm not?" he asked, even as he breezed past the male to explore the room.
Like the bathroom there wasn't much to see: a bed, a chest, and a vanity mirror; who knew that, in his personal life, the doctor was such a minimalist?

Dune giggled. Chickepea was so silly, and he didn't even care if he looked silly, either! [ "Y-yeah! Though I just liked eating. I never had human food before." ] He liked it a lot. It was so weird and different from what he ate normally. [ "Humans make so much different food. And -and I bet there's a lot I've never heard of." ]

"Yeah, it's..." Jun trailed off. For a moment he thought there wasn't really a point in mentioning it, but he could mess with Christian a bit, by being vague. "I keep seeing the same thing. Not really sure what it is, but the fridge and the bathtub was full of it. It disappeared when you looked." He peeked behind the curtains, looking out the window.
Aside from the mystery of the troll grimer, there wasn't much else of intrigue in the house. At least, not on this second floor. He looked back out into the hallway. "Maybe we should..." He trailed off, eyes catching on the outline of something on the wall out there. It was rectangular, and obvious enough that he was probably supposed to notice it. The wallpaper was sunken in, and as Jun trailed out of the room without explaining he found the button set into a sconce. With a click the odd rectangle peeled back, revealing a set of narrow and steep stairs.
"Huh, secret area." He looked back at Christian, sharing an interested look before going up.

"Holy s**t. Hey Christian you ought to see this," Jun called behind him. He had just stepped high enough to see into the attic. There was only one thing to look at in the place, but he finished walking up the stairs so he could get out of Christian's way. The occupants of the room watched him.
There was a small table set up, with chairs surrounding it. Seated in the chairs were a group of dolls shaped like pokemon. It looked like they may have been having a tea party, but now they all sit with wide soulless eyes staring at the intruders. Aside from their heads, turned in some cases a full 180-degrees, they looked unmoved from whatever they had been doing before.

"Neither have I!" Chickpea confessed. "We were only fed pokemon food before -- though, Christian gave me an almond earlier." He paused for a second. "...I don't know if that counts as human food though." Still though, it'd been good, and the sweet food they'd eaten earlier had been good too! "Totally! There's probably hundreds.... or even thousands of different human foods!" Chickpea, confidently, exclaimed. "We should try as many as we can."

"Huh." With the way Jun was describing it, Christian almost wanted to go back into the bathroom and do a thorough search of the tub. "Do you think it's following you?" he asked, intrigued. He moved closer to the vanity mirror, running his hand over the desk for a general inspection; one could never be too careful in these sorts of places, secrets were around every corner. Probably. "Maybe you remind it of someone they lost? And they're just waiting for the right moment to come and take you back."
He was still checking the vanity mirror, even going as far as to look behind it, when Jun stepped outside into the hall. At the words 'secret area' Christian spun around, fast enough to nearly lose his footing, before he scurried over to Jun. "Oh, nice!" Up the stairs they went, into the vast unknown.

Whatever was in the attic it was worth the trip up, going off of Jun's reaction. Eager to see what awaited them Christian jogged up the last flight of stairs, and grabbed a hold of the doorway to vault over the last step -- making his entrance all the quicker. "What is--"
The feeling that he was being stared at was what cut Christian off, and he promptly shut his mouth as he looked around the attic. It was something out of a scary movie, dark and empty doll eyes followed him as he moved to stand beside Jun. "Oh this is so cool..." he breathed, daring to stare a few of the dolls in the eye. He didn't recognize any of the dolls, save for one.
"Oh hey. This is one of the pokemon from the lab." Christian stepped closer to the table, and to the chair of one of the dolls. "Uh... toto something..." He looked down to Chickpea for confirmation, he'd know for certain, then grinned when the pokemon gave an excited cheer. "Yeah, see!" Of course the pokemon he'd seen had been light blue, and not dressed like a skeleton, but this was a haunted house, so he could forgive the inaccuracy. Christian turned back to look at the doll, and the closer he drew the more impressed he came. "It looks pretty real..."
Suddenly the doll turned its head swiftly, its snout pointing to Christian, and opened its maw to show off a row of teeth. Whatever grin had started to grow on his face quickly shrank. 'Maybe the doll's a bit too real...' The thought had barely crossed his mind before the 'Toto' vaulted out of its chair, and lunged at Christian. With just enough recognizance to jerk back, the blonde barely avoided having his hand chomped down on. The pokemon landed on the floor with a thud before breaking into a guttural chuckle.

[ "Yeah we should." ] Dune closed his eyes, just imagining it all. [ "We should do l-lots of stuff." ] This reminded him so much of when he was just a little larvae, and the whole cave was an unknown world to explore. Now that he wasn't living in a cave all the time, maybe... maybe he'd actually try flying around some. Yeah! [ "Chick-chikpea, when my w-wings get better, I'll fly you around, okay?" ]
Ledian watched Dune and his new friend with a curious expression on her face. She had a feeling that he wasn't going to want to just go home anymore. He hadn't said anything or asked yet, but he would. And then, it would be time for her to go.

"Totodile," Jun supplied. Even with the skeletal pattern, he recognized the little croc. And he also thought it looked a little too real. He'd know, after all... "Wait, don't-" In an instant, Jun's hand was on his sword. He'd forgotten it was tied shut, and was about to use the sheath instead to whack this rogue totodile.
It only took a second, but by then he paused. It didn't look harmful, not really. (And it'd be rude to assume so just because of the way it looked, right?) "Careful, oh brave knight, that doll looks pretty dangerous," he stated.

"I think it likes you. You should try to catch it," Jun said, feeling weirdly like he was unnecessarily egging him on. That uh... the people in charge of the haunted house wouldn't get mad if they fought or caught it, right? "You do know how to catch a pokemon, right?"
The funny thing was, Jun...hadn't actually caught any pokemon. He'd just kind of picked them up. Cricket and Holly as eggs, Ledian and Dunsparce just agreed to come with him. Peafoul was, well, she'd seemed abandoned and basically jumped into his arms.

Chickpea bobbed his head, determined to see their plan through. Meeting Dune was the second best thing that'd ever happened to him! The first was being picked by Christian, of course. The young Chikorita gasped, so loudly and so quickly that he felt light-headed immediately after, at the prospect of flying. "Oh woooow. You promise?" Never in his wildest dreams did he imagine flight being possible for him. "Oh my gosh, that would be amazing! I can't wait! I bet it'll be so cool! We can probably even touch the clouds, or something!"

With his heart pounding, Christian couldn't help but note that this was the first 'fright' he'd received since entering the house, and it'd been carried out by a pokemon that may, or may not have, been apart of the attraction. "Surely I can count on you, and your sword, to protect me," he joked, eyeing the Totodile carefully. He'd realized, the same as Jun, that the pokemon posed no threat, at least not now. It stared back at him, eyes crinkled in what was clearly a smile; it seemed very pleased with itself. It eventually broke eye contact, then began waddling about the attic, trailing back to the tea table before waving a claw at the dolls.

It was a good thing that Christian had his back turned to Jun, it allowed him to hide his face. "Nope!" he answered, with an embarrassing amount of confidence; maybe because he had a, semi, legitimate reason? "I've only really just started out, you know? Haven't had the chance to catch any pokemon." He tossed a glance over his shoulder, blue eyes finding Jun. "I guess there's no better time to learn than now, right?" From the way he looked to him, it was heavily implied that Jun would be the one to teach him how to do this.

[ "Uhh I dunno if I can go that high.." ] Dune hesitantly mentioned. He didn't want to disappoint Chickpea or anything. It wasn't something he thought of, but it would really suck if Chickpea evolved before they could do it. [ "But y-yeah! Promise." ] Dune had to consciously control his wing movements, because they were now threatening to flap as if to start building up strength. He'd need to practice to be able to carry Chickpea, after all.

Jun, who had just utterly failed to do anything with his sword except look like an idiot where Christian couldn't see him, nodded quietly. Yup. Count on good 'ol Jun and his tied-shut sword.
He'd been mostly joking about trying to catch the totodile, but as he watched it walk around, his suspicion that it wasn't part of the haunted house grew. After all, compared to the dolls there, it was very much alive. Definitely good for a jump scare when it jumped at Christian, though. So... was it part of the house or not? "What, you mean trying to catch the haunted house volunteer while they're working?" he hedged.
