Hand moving gently through her hair his fingers caught hold of something a bit odd. Surely it was not hair or feathers and it truck him as rather odd. Unable to help his curiosity his fingers followed the string if ribbing to the very end where they brushed against something hard, something metal. Closing to fingers around it he lifted it up just enough that he could view its shape. Blue eyes widened initially as he saw it before his gaze softened and a tender smile spread on his lips. It didn't take an iditiot to figure out the reasoning behind her choice of weapon and Asger was far from that. It was a sentimental thing, a momento. Daggers that resembled his feathers, just like his own feathers when his semblance was activated.

A part of him still felt guilty. He couldn't help it. He knew the pain and the loss his absence had put her through. Yet, it touched his heart just as much. It had intended to be a peace of him that she had carried with her all this time. It still meant the world to him that when the rest of the world gave up on him, assumed him dead with every justification, she had held on to faith that he would return. Even when it was silly to keep believing he was out there somewhere, alive, she kept him with her and never gave up. Tucking the dagger gently back into her sandy locks, he smiled at her, blue eyes bright with emotion. "Interesting choice of blade... I wonder where you could have possibly gotten such an idea." He teased lightly, letting out a soft chuckle at the words.

His attention returned back to his feathers, whizzing past their heads, driving flipping, turning, and repeated. He stretched his limits, pushed himself past his breaking point, and tested his control just as the teacher had asked him. He worked to push the feathers feather than he ever had. Only returning them to their boundaries with the strain become to much. He worked to control each feather as a singular unit rather than a group which was tedious but slowly becoming simpler and more natural. He could feel himself growing tired, his aura draining slowly but surely. It was becoming increasingly difficult. But he forced his feathers to continue their path through the air. He would keep them up for as long as he could possibly manage. But with his draining aura it couldn't be much longer.

His attention was called ba k by his sister calling his name. He might have been worried, were it not for the excitement in her voice. Blue eyes left his feathers to land on her, widening slightly at the brown aura enveloping her arms and expanding the feathers there. For a moment all he could do was stare, but then a proud smile spread on his lips. He knew how much his sister had always wanted to fly. He used to appease her by carrying her in his arms and taking her on short flights to and fro, but he knew that would never be the same as being able to fly on her own. She was so pleased she seemed to have forgotten all about the noise and the pain. It was a truly incredible sight. "Try it!" He encourages, smiling st her once more. He might have flown with her, showed her some tips, but with a crowded room and razor sharp feathers he figured that might be a bad idea. "I expect to be impressed."

                                                          out. of. choices.

XXXTo Azura's comment, Yui's head would bob for just a moment. Though... Unless it was Garret who had informed her, she would've had no knowledge of the canceled game. After all, she only knew of the came because of him. So... While she nodded in agreement, such a thing would've been impossible. It really was ridiculous to think she could get so involved... The softest of sighs escaped her lips as Azura tugged on her attention once again, describing Garret pretty accurately with simple physical traits. ".. Mmm.. Lancer. That's right." She wouldn't touch bases on his name, due to his own request to keep it hidden. She wasn't sure if Garret itself was supposed to know, and would simply call him by his requested name in the company of others. A nod would follow as Azura concluded that as nice as it would be, that the event would be rare to follow. Yui was left to wonder, had Beacon had other events similar to it lined up?

It was an interesting concept. While Yui had used her wings to stabilize herself, she could still see her foot vanish into the ground. It really was a simple mask over the reality around them and didn't fill the natural edges and curves. It was both an interesting aspect, and a flaw similar to not being able to adjust the impact of touch. Hyperreality wasn't quite in her grasp, but... She was certainly making progress towards it. ".. Thank you. Just as maintaining illusions, it comes with training and focus..." There would be a brief pause in her words as her eyes glanced around as she came back to reality with a clear image of the class. As well, the sharp sound from the uproar of students was a horrid contrast between the calm beach. It actually hurt, and Yui would wince in response while hissing under her breath. ".. It's always an uphill climb ... Though I must say, it must take incredible focus to be able to maintain it in such detail. I commend the attention to detail." Now, Azura just had to prepare herself for surprises... To keep a level head while focusing so intently would surely be a difficult concept to grasp, but... Yui was certain she could do it. "I think it would do you well, just as learning weapon diversity for me has done." Yui felt.. Rather content, knowing that she could offer a suggestion that may actually be able to help someone improve themselves. That's what she was meant to do, after all. Right? Being the teacher aid, she had to offer something to anyone she worked with.

Perhaps it was the Lioncourt pride that conflicted within her. While she cherished the compliments that followed the display of her semblance, she tried to keep herself level-headed and ... Humbled, was it? But, honestly... She couldn't help but let a faint smile curl on her lips seeing the fascination in her eyes. Though, at the mention of needing skill in several weapons, she would nod and begin to think back. Brief memories of the hundreds of hours that her mother had worked her to exhaustion to be adept with a wide variety of weapons once they discovered her artillery. If she hadn't gotten the grasp of a new weapon by the end of a month, it was considered a failure.".. I spent far too many hours trying to grasp them all, but... It'll never be perfect. I'm sure anyone who's focused on their own would be able to outmatch me. So... I was instead designed to conquer the battlefield." If she couldn't match someone with their own weapon, she would overwhelm when with a complex variety that the surely couldn't anticipate. Her semblance was a vault of weaponry to give her the advantage in any scenario, but... Being a jack of all trades meant being a master of none. Meaning she could only admire the skill that others held with their primary weapon.

It was that same Lioncourt pride that ignited a blaze in her heart as Azura complimented her replica. Where Azura focused attention to detail on her illusions, this girl would use that same attention to detail to perfect unique weapons she had been shown. Yui tilted her head at the suggestion. A chance to wield a unique scythe against its native user? .. In combat, that was a death wish. But in training, it would give her the perfect chance to get a functioning grasp on Azure Regret. "I would like that.. Show me the way, as I intend on mastering Azure Regret." Stepping away from the girl and her illusion, she would begin to spin her own Azure Regret between her fingers. It was warm and toasty, and the weapon would spin with ease simple due to its own lightweight. After all, it was simply fire. There wasn't much hindrance for its size, though she had to be careful to not damage the stage they were on. Embers would continue to dance around her as she tried to get use to the motions... She had only handled a scythe very briefly. 'Much akin to a polearm, though a much wider head.. The motions will be wide and leave me open if I'm not careful.. Wasn't the origin of a scythe to cut grass?' It was interesting that a former tool like so could be turned into such an intricate weapon. With the illusion set, Yui would take her moment to strike. After all, she could only maintain it for so long... Just as she was sure the illusion would only last so long. With a final spin, Yui would kick off the ground, forward towards the illusion of Azura who held Crimson Regret. Her own scythe was held with the head behind, towards the ground with the blade pointed upwards. As she approached the illusion of Azura, she'd press her palm down into the hilt of the pole to help her right-hand swing the blade over her head in a spiral to try and connect with whatever Azura would counter with, though it had wavered a bit simply from the size of the blade.. She had no idea if the illusion would be able to stop her... So her attack did hold some restraint, unsure of how exactly it would come in turn. "Even being lightweight for me... The size of the blade makes it hard to control.." She hated to admit, but she could see the difficulty in handling such a weapon. She couldn't remember, had she ever actually taken the time to get the concept of it down? Sure, she could spin it freely, but now... She wasn't sure if she ever actually trained with a scythe.

Narx of course had no recollection of his past and the unique ability he possessed of minor pain reduction. He could take much more pain than a normal person could naturally. He had his Hammer laying off in the corner by his seat and if he needed he could access even more aura from it to reduce further, but that wouldn't be testing his abilities so he was comitted to seeing this class through to the end without external boosts. He locked his eye onto Ridley's golden glare with a sudden smile. A nasty smile. A smile derived from pain.
"I'd love to say that I am normally this way..." He winced with pain. "But It is special treatment. I haven't been myself lately. Angry. Actually. So I do apologize, but don't let that go to your head."
He breathed out deeply as some form of relief returned for a moment.

He then took a sudden knee as the pain changed. It was an odd searing pain on the back. His back arched. His shoulders shook as he tried to throw the pain off. It stayed of course. He noticed a drop of sweat splash onto the floor from his temple. This kind of pain was its own special kind of hell. Burning didn't feel good. That was for sure. He slowly got control of himself and managed to stand up through the pain. His eye kept closed tightly.

Narx's face slowly returned to normal as he started to meditate to alleviate the pain. It helped only a little bit. This pain would be utterly immobilizing in a fight. There lied the true power of her semblance. It would make an enemy vulnerable to attack.
"I'll admit. I can respect your semblance now. It is something else..." He spoke slowly. He couldn't afford to break his concentration too much or the pain would work its way back ten fold. It was then that the pain abruptly stopped. The teach had moved to aid Adam who has just been struck by her? She held a syringe and was asking for someone to help inject the antivenom."I got it." He said taking a swift step over to Adam who didn't even seem to be reacting to the venom. "Here ya go friend." He said as he slid the syringe under the skin gently near the infection point. He slowly pressed on it until every last cubic millimeter was injected. He then slapped the snake bite area playfully and shot a wink to his girlfriend Ridley. He couldn't resist. "She'll take care of ya, I believe it." He said referencing to Ridley. He turned and held his hand over the wound and closed his eye. His aura shimmered for a bit as his healing augmented the anti-venom's ability.

The test would now be over. He assumed so at least. It was a rough day. He sighed. He was pretty much drained. He still had a good amount of aura left, but if they kept going on for a while longer he might have actually reached rock bottom. "Ridley... Your back..." His hand instinctively went for the same spot on his back. Where he felt the brand. Or whatever it was. It was a horrid feeling. "That was horrible... The size of it... were you young?" He didn't want her to feel like she had to divulge anything to him. His one eye showed a bit of compassion. Or empathy rather. That sort of pain was not something he could ever remember going through himself. He would give her a nod of respect for it.

Danaë nod to her brother, as she kept her arms outstretched. She would move both of her arms up and down, just trying to get a feel for them. Her arms felt heavier than they normally were. However, she could feel the wind on the wings. She looked back at her brother, a sparkle in her eyes. She would stretch out her wings, again, and she would leap from the bleachers like she had done before. This was what mother birds did to their young right?

Danaë would keep her wings fully open, trying to glide, but there was no wind, and she had no experience with flying, so it was rocky to say the least. She then tried to move her arms up and down as she floated, and she felt herself drop. She was unsure she was meant to fly, but it would take practice right?

Then the unthinkable happened. Danaë's vision started to fade. Oh no, she was in the air, and she didn't know how to dive. Her wings started to fade out, as she was in the air, and she dropped. Thankfully, she was fully passed out when she hit the first bleacher. It let a loud banging sound in the classroom. She hadn't been too far up, but she hit her head on the corner of the desk. Her body would roll towards the front of the room, dumping her below the stage, her body starting to show signs of bruising, while her head was bleeding profusely.

This time the pain brought Narx to a knee, a part of her felt proud. He had taunted her and egged her on for more after all. However, another part of her felt bad. She knew Narx wasn't a terrible person. Obnoxious, sure. Occasionally infuriating, of course. But, he wasn't bad per say. Ridley had a newfound understanding for him as he admitted he hadn't exactly been himself lately... angry. Anger was something she could relate too on a deeper level. The girl had always had a.temper, but certain events of her childhood had only fed the fire. Keeping those flames st bay, preventing the spreading, it was something she struggled with to this day. The pain he was in was something she could relate to on a more personal level. The golden-eyed huntress knew just how bad it was because she'd experiencedit herself. She was reliving it now. Her sharp gaze never left his, watching his face that had been contorted with pain slowly ease into a more neutral expression. She might not admit it, but she was rather impressed. Not many people could handle pain so well. The only reason her pain tolerance was so high was because of a dark past and the fact that her semblance only worked if she felt the pain and then relived it. It made her wonder just what had happened to him to make him this way. Maybe it was something of a natural ability... a natural threshold due to the nature of his semblance. One intended to take the pain of others would need to be able to bare it all himself. Maybe it was something worse, something akin to her own tragedies and that of so many others. Maybe... but either way, it probably wasn't her place to ask. She doubted he wanted her digging arou d in her personal business anymore than she wanted him prying at hers.

When he finally managed to speak again, voiced slightly strained through his concentration, she blinked once at his words. At first she wasn't sure if she was more surprised or touched. It was one thing to have someone who cared about you praise your abilities. It was entirely different to have an near stranger, one that moments ago had been full of doubt, change their opinion. It was a strange compliment maybe, but so was her semblance. It unique in and of itself. At first glance, one might notice it's true worth or use. Not to mention it took quite a toll on the young huntress. In a sense, what didn't kill her made her stronger but that didn't account for all the scars that were left behind. Both physical and emotional. Or the phantom pains she was cursed with whenever she used her semblance and the painful memories that always came with. All of that aside, she had earned some respect in a strange way, he had as well. "Thanks." She responded after a moment, giving the guy a slight nod. "I'll admit, I'm impressed. Most people wouldn't have handled that as well as you did." Ridley flashed him a small smile, still tainted by pain but void of the usual sarcastic smirk.

It wasn't long afterwards that professor stepped forward, waving a syringe around in her hand. At first Ridley was just curious, but her heart gave a frantic thrum in her chest when she heard the urgency in the teacher's voice and the name that followed. It would be at that moment any pain Narx was feeling would suddenly stop as she stopped channelling her semblance into Kail. The girl wasn't quite near her limits yet, she still had a fair amount of aura left, but her concern for Adam outweighed anything else at the moment. As she turned to face him, worry swimming behind those golden orbs, her eyes would once again skim over his form. He looked intact other than the exhaustion eating away at his expression. Still, the urgency in Kail's expression said it all. Ridley hadn't seen what had happened, but she could assume by the lack of external damage that it was poison... and by Kail's reaction, it was serious. Ridley didn't even argue when Narx took the syringe from the teacher to inject Adam himself. Instead she rushed to his otherside, realizing exactly what must have happened when Narx injected the needle near what appeared to be a snake bite. Relieve swept over her as the contents of the syringe were pumped into his bloodstream. It was short lived, as the wink and comment that followed next sparked the slightest bit of irritation that was promptly followed by the faintest of color filling her cheeks. Rolling her eyes at Narx she flashed her signature smirk towards Adam. "Right, I'm on it. Just leave it to me."

With Adam's injuries healed, thanks to the anti-venom and the added bonus too of Narx's semblance, the test seemed to be over. For now at least. She wasn't sure if they would pick it back up or if that would count for the sake of the class. She felt tired, but not completely exhausted. Maybe it was for the best, after all, she knew better than anyone the consequences of draining her aura. She didn't much feel like being sent to the infirmary with bloddy gashes and fourth degree burns and she doubted Narx would have the aura left to heal the extent of such serious injuries. The girl was drawn from her thoughts by the aforementioned commenting on her back. He seemed hesitant as his hand flew to his own back where he would have felt the brand. The smae place one would find a lingering scar on her own. Her expression faltered, golden gaze lingering on the wall behind him rather than his face. She had expected questions, but that hadn't quite prepared her for it. A small crease formed between her brows, her gaze darkening as the memory threatened to break through the locks she kept bound so tightly. The struggle played across her expression until she finally lifted her chin to meet his gaze. She opened her mouth to speak, but hesitated and settled for a nod instead. It took her a moment but after clearing her throat softly her voice returned to her. "Yeah, I was young..." Thirteen to be exact but the memory was still scared vividly in her mind. She couldn't help the small shudder than ran through her body.

The chance for further questions was cut off by a sickening crack that rung through the classroom. It was deafening, skull crashing against wood, but the silence that followed was louder. It was thick, heavier. Ridley was afraid to breath, ears ringing as she slowly turned to face the commotion. The sight was truly horrific. The feathered girl she had seen Narx with earlier was laying in a tangled heap on the grand. Her body was bruised and mangled but the most frightening was the thick gash on her head and the stream of blood pouring profusely from it. Ridley's heart dropped, golden eyes going wide as she stared at the horror scene before them. It was at that moment that she knew it was lucky she and Narx hadn't pressed each other the their absolute limits. Hopefully he would have enough aura left to help slow the blood until they could get her to a medic.

Asger gave his sister a reassuring smile as she glanced back at him before beginning to flap her wings. It started out as a rocky flight as she leaped off the bleacher-type desks just as she had to hug him the first time. She was nee to it and the fact that they were indoors without a breeze to help carry her made it even more complicated. However, she was new to flying, so it was expected to be a challenge. However, nothing could have prepared him for the horrific scene that played out before him the next moment. She swayed in the air, the aura wings faltering out. "Danae!" In a matter of moments Asger leaped from his seat. Massive wings unfurled, feathers still deadly sharp from his unique semblance abilities. With a jumping start his wings gave a massive flap, all other thoughts completely abandoned. He flew straight through his blade-like feathers, the razor edges slicing through his clothes and exposed skin. He almost didn't even feel it. The stinging cuts were about the last thing on his mind. All the mattered was Danae. He had to get to her before something detrimental happened. He pushed his wings as hard as he could, soaring through the air after her but she had gotten a massive head start. He was closing in on her but just as his hand was about to close around her, she began plummeting towards the ground.

Asger was left grasping at empty air. Nothingness. He had been just out of his reach.

His heart dropped, coming to rest somewhere in his naval, the fear and dread sending a wave of nausea over him. He dropped into a dive, heading straight for the ground. She was falling to fast and even with his wings tucked tightly to his back he couldn't gain the extra but of speed he needed. The sickened crack as her head collided with the corner of the desk caused his blood to run cold. He was consumed with fear, watching her body topple over the desks before sprawling out on the floor before them. She was mangled and bruised, a red blossom rapidly spreading around her head. Guilt was what followed. It was all his fault. He'd told her to do it. He should have helped her, flown by her side despite the risks. He should have rea ter sooner. He should have gotten to her in time. Onc ed again he was the cause of her pain and misfortune. The weight of it was eating away at his soul. What a sorry excuse for a brother he was. Fear and guilt. Guilt and fear. The mixed together in a toxic concoction, boiling and bubbling in the pit of his stomach. It was thick enough to joke in. Acidic enough to slowly burn him away from the inside out.

He was so caught up in his own emotions he hadn't noticed the rapid approaching ground in time to slow his decent. He unfurled his wings at the last moment, scowling his fall ever so slightly but he was ultimately met with the hard ground pushing violently against his shoulder. He tumbled, letting out a soft grown but that didn't stop him from immediately pushing himself across the floor to his soster's unconscious body. He didn't dare move her, lest there was something wrong with her neck or spine. He knew that... but just sitting here, not doing anything with her in such a condition felt wrong. He was useless. Helpless. How many times had he been too incompetent to protect her? How many times had he failed at that one duty? The only one that really mattered. He was her big brother... he wasn't supposed to let things like this happen to her.

Moving her could potentially injure her further, but the blood... there was so much of it... too much. Thick, crimson, and sticky.

If something wasn't done about the it she would bleed out. Surely the teacher would be prepared for something like this. She would know what to do... but she was blind. The only sign she'd have of something wrong would be the sound of Danae's head splitting and the thick sent of blood. However, something that she said at the beginning of class occurred to him. Something she'd said about Narx; he had a healing semblance. Asger just hoped he hadn't pushed himself to his limits quite yet... for Danae's sake. He didn't say anything, but troubled blue eyes shot up to the guy, standing several feet away and the front of the class. He knew Narx cared for his sister... so he didn't ask for him to help. Asger knew that he would help if he could... which was more than he could say for himself.

Oh boy, here he comes. She moved out of the way when he told her to and then quickly turned around, bringing her weapon down to meet his to see what would happen. Both seemed quite easily matched at first but soon the ice on her made began to crack. She should have expected as much as since her ice just seemed to break with ease all of the time. Though, that was probably due to her lack of training. She was sure that once she grew stronger then so would the ice in her semblance. Sakura backed away, ready to go another round to see what else would happen when she heard a loud clang. It sounded like it...hurt. Sakura, instinctively, looked towards the noise and froze. Did an actual person make that sound? She looked towards Cecil. "Pause for a second." She says quickly before she cautiously goes closer to get a better look without actually stepping in anyone's territory. That looked like...a definite head injury. She wasn't sure what happened but it looked serious. That amount of blood should not be pooling out of someone's head. Though, she had siblings that had head injuries before. "Someone really needs to hurry with a nurse..." She had bandages but they wouldn't exactly help in a situation like this.

Cecil watched her dodge as he stabbed nothing, shattering his weapon to summon up his bow to clash with her mace to knock it back while it broke from the damage. He was quick to summon weapon after weapon as they broke to match her weapon swings until her ice was beginning to break. He jumped back, empty handed as he was breathing heavily, his aura flickering before he heard her requesting a pause at the sound of metal clanging. 'A pause?' He thought.... his adrenaline was running and she was asking for a pause because of some student who fell.... no no no, this would not do at all. "She'll be fine." He told her coldly as he held his hands up, the ground floor beneath them freezing quickly... as if it was attempting to crawl and anyone who was standing or laying on the floor would begin to feel Ice latching to them, as if trying to hold them down as his aura spiked for a bit. Static shows of black aura mixed with his usual blue was apparent as he summoned up an Oodachi. "We can continue for just a bit more!" He called out to her, a small grin on his face as he dashed and slashed at her, his adrenaline... his darkness.... his aura was stealing away some of his blood in this transformed state. The atmosphere of the room itself seemed to have dropped further, to frigid cold, as if one were inside of an igloo without clothes.

Ren had been running for a good 30 minutes before he slowed down, a bit out of breath before he looked and heard everything that had happened. The teacher was being used as a conduit for three students, he was a bit excited at the fact that the teacher had an antidote ready, yet the cold of the room began to drown it out as he hugged himself, shivering a bit visibly before he shook his head. "Why is it so cold?" He asked a bit outloud while his teeth were chattering till he heard a loud bang and looked to where Danae was. There was blood on the floor as he was beginning to flip out and jumped a bit, dodging the following floor freeze until he slipped upon the ice and fell onto his rump. "Owie!" He shouted and looked to see the floor itself had been covered with ice, and that it was crawling everywhere along the floor. "C-Careful! The floor is freezing for some reason!"

Sakura heard what Cecil said and was ready to turn around and tell him that the girl certainly wasn't okay and could, in fact, be in critical danger. But that didn't happen. She, instead, found herself froze. Not literally, of course, but the sudden temperature change in the room was noticeable. She quickly backed away from the spreading sheet of ice that was making it's way quickly to her. Good thing too because, any further, and she probably would have ended up seriously injured as well with the way that Cecil was swinging the weapon. With intent to kill, it felt like. Sakura did her best to judge, keeping her arms in front of her for protection though, thanks to her aura, the hits that did land were more like cuts than the actual slices and gashes they would have been if her aura wasn't up.

Though, she found herself distracted when she heard Ren let out a recognizable "owie". From the quick glance she got of him, it seemed like he was fine but she really couldn't know for sure. She looked back at Cecil, her anger quite noticeable by her facial expression. She needed stop him. She just needed him to...

                                              "Freeze!"

It was a bit of a blur afterwards. She saw a thick sheet of ice spread towards Cecil before she found herself leaning onto one of the desks tables for support. She felt like she had been hit with a wave of sleepiness and Ren's semblance all in one. What exactly did happen? It was certainly new. Was that what the teacher wanted? She...couldn't remember the instructions all that well. Sakura slowly slumped over and leaned against the desk. She looked over at Ren. He was...okay. That was a relief. A soft smile appeared on her face before she slowly began to close her eyes. She just wanted...to take a quick breather for now.

XXXThere was something about his eyes... They always had a habit of telling on him. What he thought, what he felt... Cali had spent so many years looking into those beautiful blue eyes, and in turn, could read his very soul. It was just something that came with spending so much time with someone, so much time looking through the window of the soul. Eyes that often held the radiance that matched the clear beach skies, seemed to be dulled and clouded as a mustering storm at sea. Her own sandy hues would soften with the faintest trace of concern as she tilted her head, trying to read his thoughts ... Now if only that was her semblance, right? The shiver as visible, and he'd close his eyes... A sight without such vibrant blues felt so long for the girl, for someone who always saw them. With the faintest concern, her fingers would move on their own to lightly stroke his side, just above his hip. It was what little she could do to try and comfort him in the split second that he seemed whisked away in something. Eli had always been much better at shoving negativity to the side, far more capable than she was. The moment her fingers grazed his sides, covered by his shirt. It was near instantaneous that his eyes fluttered open with the vibrate clear skies like they always were, the vivid blue hues that she cherished as her own... His statement was firm. "And we'll always take a step forward... Because of each other." It wasn't really something she could object to. Instead of even trying to, a faint smile would cross her lips. Even if it had always been hard for her to grasp.

Even if these moments of tranquility were always so brief, that didn't make them and less amazing. Her own presence would melt against his own with their arms wrapped around each other. Surely, the pièce de résistance that pulled it all together was feeling his coarse fingers slip through her own sandy locks. It was his touch that seemed to make her purr in calm delight, all while she hummed in rhythm to the heartbeat. As any moment that they could be so close together, her head was securely placed against his heart, listening to his core. Tu-tum. Tu-tum. Tu-tum. With each beat, she would hum in tune to mimic it. To memorize it, as if she hadn't already. .. She just simply never wanted to forget that sound, even for a second. Even as reality settled in, and she realized everything she had been doing wrong and tried to distance herself ... He just wouldn't have it. Just like she did, he craved her touch and every moment of contact they could manage together. His response was one that was scowl worthy. A low bit in her voice, almost like a growling as she began glaring daggers at him. It was almost as if she was trying to develop a bit of sass. The embarrassment and fluster would almost drop in that instant, even if it was for just a moment, though the red beat face was still quite apparent. ".. That's not gonna work... You know that, right?" To her content, he would comply and pull his jacket back to his grasp with a sling of the web. Real slick shootin', and Cali got what she wanted. What more could she ask for. Once a sour look would be replaced with the faintest flustered smile, giving him a nod. "Much." His reward? A tighter hug from the girl who always remained attached to his hip. Now that he had an extra piece of armor from her pestilence, she would even snuggle her face against his chest in delight while releasing a content filled sigh. Even with so many layers between them, it truly meant everything to her.

That was reassuring to hear... Though she already knew in his eyes that she had passed with flying colors. Trying to explain it to the teacher would be another matter. Perhaps behind closed doors, they could explain it a bit more carefully... Though, simply the thought of trying to talk about their kiss to anyone but themselves... Actually, even themselves. It made her so nervous and embarrassed. It was surely the most intimate thing they had ever done, and she wasn't sure if she really wanted to share it with the world. Maybe it could be something easier. A hug, or a helping hand... Some form of physical contact that didn't damage him. Though... Realistically, in the end... Everything that they had touched had gotten hurt, except for his lips. ... Perhaps it really was the only way to prove that she had managed to complete her assignment, whether it was intimate or not. An arrow instantly shot through her heart at his remark though. It was a burning sensation that was a mix of something else and embarrassment that she couldn't quite grasp, though one could clearly see steam coming out of her ears at his remark. Huffing up, it seemed to come out without a second thought. "B-better be glad I couldn't! Y-you'd have w-w-way more to worry about tha-than your arms and hands! >//////<" Oh how badly she wanted to punch him, though her own comeback wasn't well thought out on her part in the slightest. His remark of venom couldn't even phase her, it was her own recklessness that nearly caused her to pop.

Seriousness seemed to creep back in, and that was the only thing that could save the girl from making an utter fool of herself. Well, if she hadn't already. It was sweet that he left the choice to her, though she had no doubts the route he would take on it. He was a gentleman through and through, even if he teased her endlessly. It would be responded to with a slow nod, still trying to recover from the past series of events... She truly appreciated the chivalrous act though, but... There was no way she could let him take the fall alone. After all. She had enjoyed it with every fiber of her being as if every piece of her ignited into a fiery inferno. If they chose to go with a truth, they'd go down together. That was all there was to it. A tease returned, and to it she would look up with the faintest curiosity as if to ask... 'Did I really?' With the most adorable, puppy dog eyes of wonder. Though to her nose, a finger came. As the tip enclosed, her eyes would cross and focus while her lips puckered in anticipation. The moment of contact, her eyes would scrunch close while a hum rumbled under her breath. "... Oh what foul punishment for the minx.." Truly, being conquered in a nose boop was the worst punishment imaginable. Her body would ragdoll, it was clear that her legs were still rather limp. Though feeling was returning, and her feet would lightly kick as she was whisked away to a chair that she would grip a hold of tightly upon being laid down.

While resting in the chair, feeling it already succumbing to her semblance... She would watch her beloved with eyes of awe, watching the soft blue glow engulf his body as a whole. It was a stunningly beautiful color and seemed to glow much brighter than any show she had seen him perform before. ... He was about to do something big, just as she had done for him... She couldn't wait for the display and watched while grasping the back of the chair tightly with her fingertips. As a part of his act, he'd turn away from the crowd for his final light show. A stop that would release another surge of electricity that rushed towards the dummy in a dazzling array of sparks and lights. Her own eyes would sparkle in watching such a display, but not long after a worried gaze would shimmer as she noticed the blue hue around him fizzled. In fact, something was very wrong. He went still, and collapsed on the ground within seconds. "Ah! Eli!" Cali would shout, grabbing her gloves and jumping up to her feet instantly which led to a serious of odd wiggles and wobbles. After all, her legs still felt somewhat akin to jelly, and... Jolting up so fast was surely to make her fade to white, for at least a moment. That didn't matter though. Trying to shake past it, she would hop and hobble over towards her collapsed spider before dropping to her knees to next to his now sitting self, while slipping her gloves on before reaching to offer a supporting touch to his arms. Before she could though, he would laugh before offering some sort of silly apology. What for? .. Actually, watching the display, it kinda made sense.. "... Did you zap yourself? ... Silly... You're supposed to zap the dummy, not yourself, dummy.." She had been really worried there for a second, though that worry was fizzled down fast as a smile crossed her lips. "You know, it's always been worth it.. Especially with such a light show. I just hope you don't zap me that hard." It seemed he pushed himself a bit far and certainly made his zaps stronger than before ... She couldn't imagine getting hit with such a bolt. Actually, she could... It would show in her hair, turning into an afro of frizz. Shaking her head with a smile, she'd manage to push herself back up to her feet. At long last, she could actually feel her legs again and wasn't at risk of falling directly on him. Not that he would mind.

Once she was standing, she would lean down with her hands offered out to him. "You're okay though, right? Zaps can get pretty intense." She would tease, knowing all too well the feeling of his zaps. While they weren't nearly as frequent as him experiencing her decay. There had been plenty of circumstances where they tried countless experiments either in training or trying to combat her decay by using his electricity. While it all worked to an extent, it never went without her getting horrifically shocked and thrown stiff just as he had. ... Sure, she was a lot smaller than him, but she was sure she had just enough mass to help pull him to his feet. After all, he always did it for her. She at least wanted to try. A smile of adoration decorated her face as she looked down at her dear spider king, offering to aid him. She would happily take his hand and use her mass as a whole to help pull him to his feet, though... It was probably mostly due to his own effort. ... Suddenly, a loud thud had echoed through the room and above the noises. It sounded as if a blunt object had struck something else, and seemed to follow with a series of thuds. ... Curiosity got the better of her, and she found herself pulling away. Though she certainly tried to drag Eli along. It only took a few steps to be able to get a look over the desks they were sheltered behind, and the sight had caused her eyes to grow wide. A gasp escaping her lips while lifting her free gloved hand to cover her mouth. At the front of the room, before all the desks were laying a feathered girl with another winged individual by her side. From her, seemed to be a glowing red that could have only been blood. It seemed whatever had happened had caused several students to stop in their tracks. An accident that no one had expected and people seemed to be waiting for someone to do something... Just as she was now. With it, an intense cold seemed to seep through the room. One that had sent a chill down Cali's spine, both from a frigid experience and a startling sight... It had all been a bit much for her, and the now shivering girl would step back into Eli. "I.. I wonder what happened..." She'd whisper to herself, trying to find herself backing into Eli for some means of comfort. ... She... Wasn't really sure what to do, what to think. "Is.. is.. th-there anything w-we can d-d-do..?" A shiver seemed to creep into her words, teeth lightly clattering. After all, with that skin suit... She was essentially naked. It provided no layers, no warmth. Only with the purpose of covering the unmentionables. She had found herself immediately chilly, and unsure of what to do with the newfound series of events.

Class would soon end, Narx healing the owl woman who had fallen, however, he himself had to be rushed to the nurse instead. Adam was also taken to the nurse. Those who had not finished their assignment where told to work on it as homework, as the class dispersed.

Narx nodded at Ridley. He actually wanted to work with her again. He knew she could be trusted.
"We do what we do so that kids that age don't have to feel the pain you did..." He would say putting a likely unwelcome hand on her shoulder. "We aren't just soldiers, but protectors of peace. I hope to work with you on the field Ridley."
He winced at his mistake. He used her real name instead of 'princess,' His wince turned into a friendly smile. Anyways, take care of Adam. I'm sure I'll see you two on the dance floor if not before then.

He said right as he heard the crash. He didn't need to turn around to know it was Danaë. He felt her aura, or rather the lack thereof. Time seemed to slow. Everything became muffled. To others it happened in an instant though. He took a single step and twisted around. It took two long steps and a jump to be instantly by her side. His brain didn't even have time to go into panic mode. He worked without thinking. Only one thing mattered. He didn't even realize that he had shoved Asger fairly hard and out of his way. He was more qualified than a medic to treat immediate wounds. He placed one hand directly on her head. It quickly became drenched in blood. His other hand was placed on her stomach. His aura started to shimmer. He shook in pain as it was absorbed. Immediately his forehead gashed open and his own blood started to spill forth. It was disgusting. He would usually feel embarrassed, but he felt nothing but raw adrenaline at this moment as he helped the only person who mattered to him right now.

Narx stood kneeled by her side for several minutes. The bruising slowly faded on on Danaë and showed on Narx. He sniffed as a tear dropped from his eye and landed on her cheek. Emotion finally starting to show.
"Danaë... Danaë..." He spoke softly as if to caress her awake. He needed to know she was okay. His semblance would be enough to heal her, but she would still have to see a doctor about any brain damage that could still be lingering from a concussion. His semblance wasn't able to heal some wounds yet. He would need more practice before he could do those sort of things."Danaë... I'm here... please..." He cradled her up into his arms. He didn't care if her blood got on him.

He would wait until he saw signs of consciousness before picking her up and taking her out of the room. He would take her to the medical facility. She would need to have a doctor check her to make sure he had healed her completely. "Don't worry. I'm here. I will take care of you." He said gently. He stopped dead in his tracks though and looked right at Asger. His gaze was half furious with the negligent brother, but he knew that Asger wouldn't have been able to stop it anymore than him. He jerked his head in the direction of the hall. "Asger. With me. Now." He knew Danaë would want him there when she fully regained consciousness. He then left to the medical facility. Expecting Tess and Rich to follow, but it was okay if they didn't.

The lioness had known the ball was an utterly horrific idea. She had known nothing good would come out of it and she had been completely right. In the two weeks that followed the feline seemed to be in a particularly sour mood. Then again, it wasn't her sour moods that were surprising. It was the good ones, which were practically unheard of.There was but one person who was able to draw those pleasantries out of her and that was Maria. However, even the frail, blue-haired girl would find herself struggling with such a task in the days that followed. Its safe to assume that Kenna would not have enjoyed the ball no matter how it went down, but the events that occurred only made it horrendously worse. The nuisance that was Allister, the return of that wolf she loathed so... Really she still needed to apologize to Feralis. Not just for the past but probably for the high heel she had aimed right at his head with a quick overhand chuck. They had gotten into another argument. He had made the mistake of turning his back on her. Walking away was not a common path chose by the wolf, especially not when it came to handling Kendall. However, by that point they could both see how much toil their constant fighting was putting Maria through. Maria who was completely useless in stopping them like she once had been. Kenna had seen it, but she just kept pushing, just like she always did. She hadn't liked what he said. He'd tried to detach himself from the situation and she just wasn't having it. So what did the little kit kat do? Simple. She slipped her foot out of the strappy death trap that her Aunt Lafelle had forced onto her foot in some from of twisted torture and she chucked it right at his head. "Don't think you can just walk away from this, dog. Are you a coward or do you just not want to admit that I am right?" Her other heel was quick to follow, aimed at his back rather than his head this time. Clearly that had not been her shining moment, but believe it or not it was not even her most treacherous act of the night.

Feralis and Kenna had gotten Maria back into her chair just moments before their final argument had been unleashed, but it was the events that followed that truly marked the night. Prism had returned, likely to stop Kenna from aiming projectiles at anyone else. He was quick to send her on her way to retrieve her scroll, that stupid thing he'd been pestering her to get all night. The robot was quick to practically shove her in the right direction, which elicited a rather threatening hiss from the feline. Prism had been looking to reign in his mess of a team and bring order to an event that had been intended to be violence free. Little did that stupid hunk of metal know that it was about to send things on a quick spiral downwards. The individual that had found Kenna's scroll was waiting near the dance floor. That long white hair... it was so familiar. It caused the hairs of the back of her neck to stand and her heart to race. Those pale blue eyes. The large grand wings. The trade mark of the Lioncourts. It was all too much. The battered remnants of her heart stopped, blood running cold. Panic, fear, anger. The emotions bubbled in the pit together, mixing and mingling in the most toxic of concoctions. The feline acted on instinct alone, an animal backed into a corner, ready to fight her way out teeth and claw. The movement had been swift, too much so for anyone to have been able to stop it. No one would have even seen it coming until it was too late. Not even Kenna had been completely aware of what she was doing. Pools of liquid mercury, bubbling with that fear, that fury until her claws slashed right across Yui's face. Only when she saw crimson smeared across a white canvas did she realize just how wrong she had been. It wasn't Eteria at all. Eteria didn't bleed. She was an empty shell, a husk of what had once been human.

Silver eyes would grow cold, dead. A look that Maria would recognize from years ago. A look Rachel would recognize from weeks ago. The lioness was frozen. Frozen in the despair of her own mistake. She wouldn't move. Not at the cry of pain. Not at the shouting. She wouldn't even flinch away from the strike that was sure to come fore she knew whatever force of nature hit her, she deserved it. It was only then that her senses would return. Long enough for tears to well up in her stormy eyes, just as she turned from the girl she'd just defiled and sprinted barefoot out of the ball. It took Maria and Prism over thirty minutes to find the lion, but the sight they saw was not pleasant and not at all fitting of the fierceness that was usually Kenna. Lion turned into a cub, broken down beneath a lonely tree. She sobbed into her knees, pale arms wrapped tightly around her legs. It was one of those few moments in which her true vulnerability showed. It was a side no one but Maria had yet managed to see, but it was all bubbling over like a volcano. Lava spilling over the edges and destroying everything in its path. She couldn't stop the tears or her ragged breathing. Not while unwanted memories flashed behind her eyes. Over and over on a constant loop. Torture. Torment. It was all too much. It was then that Kenna had finally told Maria about what had happened to Sensui, about the crest she now bore just beneath her left collar bone. t was also that night that Maria had returned to her something most special to her. Something she had thought had been lost years ago before she left Beacon in that first place, during that last argument with Feralis. Her locket, the only thing she had left of her mother. It brought peace to the lion, enough to get her back on her feet and too the dorm. Read eyed, tear streaked cheeks, and dirty torn feet from her trek across campus without shoes. That locket was the only good thing that had come of the night. She cherished it, and Maria for keeping it safe all this time, but she also knew Maria would have returned it to her at some point or another, so she would not hold such a wonderful thing accountable for such a horrible night.

Two weeks had passed since that night and once again it was time for classes. Kenna was just about as excited as she always was. Which meant she was tired, annoyed, and even more bitter than usual. Kenna never enjoyed classes, however mathematics was at the top of her s**t list. She wasn't excited and she certainly wasn't going to put on a pleasant face and pretend to be. It was lucky the robot had been the unfortunate one chosen to wake her, because otherwise someone might have lost a good chunk of skin. Getting her ready had been nearly as difficult as the ball, however there was no Auntie Lafelle to help this time. Somehow an impossible task had been managed, likely due to the help of the giant robot that was Prism. By the glare Kenna was flashing it as they walked down the hall, she was most certainly plotting his death. "Why did we get stuck with such a horribly unnecessary class anyway?" The lion grumbled under her breath, arms crossed tightly over her chest. What was the use of math? Kenna had no interest in counting or solving equations. She just wanted to hit things. Cybernetics was useful, considering Maria's state, but it was much to early and the girl was much to grumpy to actually notice that.Kicking the door open much harder than was necessary, a mini-Rachel in training, Kenna would walk across the classroom before practically falling in a seat near the back. Collapsing forward onto the desk with her arms over her head, pale white locks would spill over the front of the desk. "Can we be done yet?" She would mutter, voice muffled by the wooden slab pressed up against her face. She was suddenly regretting coming back to Beacon at all.

                                                              ⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯

        Team: TRRA ///// Racoon Faunus///// Student///// Ex-thief
        What's up?: Goin to class~
Where am I?: The Math classroom... I think?
        Who are my peeps?

        <><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

Man oh man. There was a ball!? So sad to have missed it. During the ball time Rowan had been down at the local police station, giving up who whole life's story, to the dismay and sheer horror of the law enforcement. Rowan thought he had been delightful. The wondrous smell of fresh coffee and iron bars would be rememberable. The b.o not so much... Now, if only he would have been able to take the handcuffs with him. They would have been a perfect souvenir! So shiny they were. How he loved the shiny stuff!!! He had to part ways when they had taken them back... Tch. Could not steal right after promising to behave. Party poopers. The cuffs were not worth the chance he supposed, not by the fur of his pretty ringtail. Like he wanted some prison jerk touching his ears. Nu uh. They too fluffy for them! Before even reaching Vale he had a final chance to buy some new clothes, as the dirty clothes had to go. A hair cut was in store as well, funds provided from his personal stash of shiny objects... Which all of it had been sold in pawn shops... Goodbye shiny items... Hello fresh and casual Rown Karmitchal.

Now only just last week was he finally able to be on parole, and had began attending Vale. A memorable day indeed. Stepping foot upon the academy grounds brought a new light of hope. Holy wowza the place was huge. Such a grandstanding amount of building!!! It had taken seven hours just to find the best climbing spots! Of course it became apparent climbing on the statue in the center was a nono. That was the greatest viewing point of all. So spectacular to look through binoculars, as if he were being on a grand scale adventure! Without the racoon cap. That... Would be horrible on so many levels. So many things to climb it was unimaginable to describe all in one go. The trees had nice and sturdy branches, the benches solid to hop and hop off of. The good ladies and gents around perfect to startle with the itty bitty silent steps! That was only the icing on the cake!!
The liveliness of faunus and humans alike was perfect atmosphere. Pretty girls and chill looking fellas. This was the right sort of atmosphere to hide away from the streets in. He felt as if he had no care in the world. In fact he was so chilled about this dream come true of a roof over his head, he was practically quivering in the knees. Very noticeable too! It had been hard not to notice a tall faunus playing tourist mode. Well.... Not exactly THAT noticeable.
"This is like a dream house for the poor and unworthy. I hope to make the best of it here." The roof over his head was the biggest accomplishment. It would be an actual warm place where weather was no issue. Besides, with the size of the whole academy there had to have been a place somewhere! Even if it meant finding some nice places of secrecy to nap. This was a total vacation package!!

Man oh man the library! Pfft. As if he knew how to read very well. Street smarts were where it was at!!! It was the only place the faunus had not bothered to check out. What was the point if one could not read properly enough? The smell of food caught him off guard with a grumbling stomach. There was a thing as food here too? It took all willpower not to cry tears of relief. First good meal... In ever. Nice and fresh! No nasty smells or nothing. Sheer bliss. This was heaven to the core!!! This place was so good and grand it was too great to be true. he rest of the week even included the grandest of emotions from the exploring faunus, taking in new sights to ihs new home with sheer optimism.
That was until he had a lovely revelation that while staying in vale he was going to deal with a new predicament: Education.
A man of street smarts, this would be complicated. Even with a new team on his side, he was a bit flustered to admit he knew nothing about education in the book sense. Having been the first one up and ready he had decided to meet them here, after a good amount of direction given. As of now and present, the green eyed racoon faunus was taking his first steps into the wide and grande classroom. Sooooo Hollow sounding. He could hear his breath echoing. Luckily it did not seem he would be alone for too long. All he could do now was find a spot to sit. GASP. What about the giant one in the front!? Unknowingly the male has paced down the steps to the teachers desk, and with a sheer calming smile, he jumped his butt onto the desk, crossing his legs in comfort. His tail he brought around to him, finger combing at the fur, whistling while he awaited for anyone else. Oh waitaminute.... He was not alone after all! His calming demeanor gave no signs off of embarrassment. He did wonder why there were those other spots... Uh oh. Was that where the students actually take their seats!?
        If so.......
Whose giant desk did this belong to!? "Well, I am surprised no one else claimed this spot. Very nice~."
