 Mairi saw the door open with a low hissing sound. She whistled a peculiar birdcall to get her mother's attention. You look like s**t, Kairi said to Lucas, who looked exhausted and a bit pale. Mairi paused at Kairi's words before she snorted a laugh at Lucas's exhausted but disgruntled look. 'I think she and I will get along very well.' They said that the bone is healing, though the last couple of days have felt like someone dumped molten metal into my thigh, Mairi winced as Lucas spoke softly, sounding tired. Somehow, I don't see that as a good thing, Kairi said wryly. Mairi exhaled softly. 'Understatement of the octorennium.' I'm starving, though I haven't seen much of this place, Lucas deadpanned before he sighed softly. Like I said, bored... can't really move much with this thing on... and lying in bed is boring. Never been one for watching television and I wouldn't know anything about what's on anyway, Lucas sighed, shaking his head. Mairi snickered as she fully agreed. Television? Eh, I guess so, Lucas sighed, wincing slightly as his stomach grumbled. Mairi frowned slightly, her eyes narrowing. What? I've never watched.... television before, Kairi said shyly, confused as she shrugged, unaware that was an odd detail for most teenagers. Isn't there a cafeteria or something? I thought I saw something about one coming in, but I don't know where it'd be, Mairi commented, though she did notice that the nurse slipped off, apparently thinking they would want to spend time with Lucas without her around. I haven't watched much television myself, so if I heard people talking about it, I'd have no idea what they were talking about, she deadpanned. What exactly is a 'TV'? Just wish it was somewhere warmer. The room I'm in always has the air conditioning running, Lucas said wryly, shrugging, oblivious that it was a warmer than normal summer. Mairi half closed her eyes before inhaling slowly as her irises paled to a silvery lavender before they drifted partially open as the slightly darker pupil seemed to spring out of the silvery color as her vision shifted. she deadpanned. Pooh, Kairi said with a pout before she glanced at Mairi, blinking in surprise. Still feels odd, doing that, Mairi sighed, closing her eyes before reopening them and pressing her fingers to her temple where a headache was starting to blossom.
