"The boy is clueless as to what to do. The crystals will change color when he does. Even if he did know, it wouldn't do him much good. If he's not careful, they will destroy him. Changing the color of the crystals is one thing, but there's more to it than that. That is just the first part of it. He must also manage to break the main spell.
