User ImageKilandra strolled into the event. Hell, she practically DANCED in, her long flowing hair swinging as she moved. She was dressed up like a cup of water, a very tall one. She grinned, grabbing a lantern and an awesome purple colored Cauldron Bucket, before making her way into the main area of the festival, her eyes sweeping the event. She played a game, then three, before winning a delicious looking caramel apple. She dropped it in her bucket, and wandered around a bit more, before spotting a green hybrid up ahead, who had just won a sugar skull. She sashayed over, and leaned nearby. "Mmm that looks tasty, congratulations on winning it." She gave a slightly flirty smile to the other nightmare.

User ImageKeirani wandered into the festival, picking herself up a lantern and a white cauldron bucket. She wandered around the festival, seeing the families together, and the friends, with a sad and wistful smile on her face. She couldn't help imagining doing this with the parents in her photo. Finally she pulled herself together, and gave a game a try! She managed to win an ADORABLE purple and blue plushie, though it had a locket necklace on for some reason. The stall owner said 'Keep it' in an unconcerned way, so she shrugged, and took it off the plush... and immediately dropped it into her bucket, not liking how it made her feel sad again.

User ImageMizuki walked in, her eyes bright with interest. This was her very first festival she'd been able to attend, here in Below. She had been too busy finishing college before. She looked around, ever so excited. She saw an ADORABLE red Jack O'Lantern bucket, and claimed it, along with that ever useful item, a lantern, before going deeper into the festival. She spent a fair amount of time, watching everyone have fun, looking fascinated and excited. For once, something was more exciting then architecture to her! Finally, she decided to give a game a try. She picked a stall that had adorable ghosts as a prize, and played. When she won, she got one with an adorable sleepy face!

User Image "Alright Yuta, come on now." Harley had gathered up the little Kumiho for all the festivities that had been happening on the grounds. Honestly, they were a bit late to the party, but better late than never. Yuta would probably never let her hear it down the way he rushed her to hurry up and to get a move on. She took a lantern that was provided for extra saftey and grabbed a pretty wine colored jack-o-lantern bucket to keep the treats she might get while she was out. "Ok, pick your own and we'll get going with the rest of them."

User Image User Image User Image

User Image To say Yuta was excited would be an understatement. The little Kumiho was over the moon about this. He love gathering! He loved people dressing up. He loved gifts for no reason other than saying a phrase to someone. He had been buggin Harley as they were getting ready. She had been taking waaaay too long and he could have just gone on his own! Well, maybe not. He wasn't used to so many people in one place. With orange bucket in hand and some encouragement from Harley, Yuta yelled at the top of his lungs "CANDY PLEASE!" Wait... that wasn't the right thing to say, but he was pleasantly surprised when a little ghost was plopped into both of their bucket. "Cuuuuuute!!!"

User ImageUser Image

User Image Sunan's eyes darted about at the gathering. He grabbed a lantern so that no one would be able to pop out and scare him and greatly appriciated the candy bucket that was offered to him to take. He hadn't prepared anything else for the occasion, so that was great thinking on their part. He slithered over to a small gathering an got in on the fun when a candy apple was plopped into his bucket. "Ah, I love these things~" He was already excited to dig into that.

User Image User Image User Image

User Image Alexandria was slightly worried about being out with so many people but no one to really go with. Of course they had their gardian, but all the other pairs, trios, and groups of people looked as if they were having a good time. Better than just being as awkward as they felt at that moment. They tried to put on a brave face, maybe muster up the courage to barge into a group and introduce themself, but for now they were occupied with... A trick? The doll seemed so cute. Oh, and another little gift along with it. This surely had been a treat, right?

Yami hated crowds especially during festivals. He had work to do. It was always their busy season at the café and he knew that Yun needed help. It was also the time that Vanna disappeared to go have a social family life so Yami got dumped on with all the mafia responsibilities. So he was in a grumpy mood wanting to be anywhere but here. However he had tiny little children who loved the holiday and it was Tempo’s first Haunted Hallows. So here he was with an exited little freshling tugging on his hand on his way to meet up with his somewhat girlfriend.

Luckily Amatsu quite knew his father and had dragged them both over to a food vendor before they met up with Tempo so that Yami could distract himself with a sugar rush or at least something to eat.
User Image

User ImageAmatsu was always happy when they got to do things with their family, although Mikazuki had run off when they had gotten there. Yami warning his twin to be careful, Amatsu could have also disappeared to enjoy the festival by himself but he so often got to spend time with Yami that well he was glued to the older hybrid’s hand.

He was really looking forward to meeting up with Miss Tempo. She was really nice and always smelled really nice like flowers, however he also wanted to find Lapis and ask how the kitties she had taken were doing. He figured with soo many people it was a moot point. Ah well he believed in people so he believed she would be taking really good care of them. In fact he had been telling Yami on the way over all about their escapade to go rescue the same Kittens. After a quick food stop in which Amatsu got bribe candy to keep Yami at the festival they walked over to where Tempo was waiting. Amatsu shoved Yami over to go say Hi before looking around at all the different costumes. Dating people needed some alone time after all.

Due to do stream talk and the fact that Amatsu mentions Lapis a lot.

User ImageSidhe wasn’t sure what you would call her outfit, but it was definitely far from her original style… drastically far away from her original style. She supposed she could call it dressing up like a celebrity that didn’t want to be noticed. She had a one of those in fashion black outfits on with her own baseball cap and sunglasses and she had even gotten a black wig. In fact you would have to identify her by her tail and feet, and since there were tons of other white cats out there it was a good thing. After all on her way to meet her partners someone had given her some skull candle as a prank and she had kind of lobbed it back at their head in retaliation. Yeah long school hours did wonders for her temper. Seeing as they had a rather pissed off cat on their hands they fled. So it was dressed up like this while holding a red dripping candle on top of a skull that she walked in to meet her partners.

User ImageStill there was a far enough distance away from the event that Samhain could look back at it fondly, and the fact that the Kumiho had entered the world and Tomoe was still alive and well. He was pretty sure he had even spotted the male, but remembered how overwhelmed the poor guy got and left him alone, just happy he was alive and getting a chance to explore the world. However Samhain had taken unsociableness to the extreme and just pushed Salem out into the open and slept in the back of their head. It wasn’t until that news broadcast that he had awakened again. He had a nice blank space in his head for about a month. Still it looked like Salem hadn’t done too much damage.

“Yeah I’m perfectly fine. My face is hard and it really hit the mask. Protection you know” Samhain tried to joke. “Yep. Apparently they were watching us when we were there and Xiaoshi found me first so I was stuck as her exchange family, but since she doesn’t plan to go back can you really call it an exchange….” Samhain trailed off. “I was worried and I do want to stop by and check on her too often but then I don’t want to make it seem as if I’m secretly following them. So walking around and seeing the festival would be lovely”

Vanna scoffed and shook his head. He had told Kingston he was probably going to tell Mai and Eilwen about him. After all Eilwen didnt know what he did for a living and he was hardly going to talk about work secrets around Mai. It left him not that many things to talk about.

"If they weren't good things then it was your fault, Mr. Mets people by quoting Shakespeare at them."
Vanna teased. He still cant believe Kingston had run into him by quoting Romeo of all things. He shook his head with a sigh refusing to bring that memory up. Especially since he had been silly that day and started reciting back.

Mai took a deep breath and stepped out finally from behind her brother's back. She was trying to get better and this was the fist step towards doing that. Vanna's friends wouldn't make fun of her and she wanted to make her brother proud. She did notice Vanna laid a supportive hand on her shoulder and that was all she really needed.

"oh he said only the best things I promise."
Mai replied. "although what if Vanna lied and I secretly am a giant strawberry cake. I would hate to strain your friendship with brother because I was a tasty cake. The indignity of it." She ignored vanna's eyeroll. It was his fault. Growing up Vanna was her best friend. Of course they had similar humor.

"yeah those two definitely bite when they're hungry. I figured I would save the public from hungry stomachs."
Ren stated. "ah we haven't. Vanna likes to pretend that I dont exist really."

"I do not think that at all Ren."

ren just smiled and after adjusting the candy to his other hand, held out his now hand for Kingston to take. Manners where important after all. "I'm Ren. I'm Mai's best friend"

User ImageAidna walked into the festival, dressed as a slice of chocolate cake... Because really. Who DOESN'T love chocolate cake? She snagged a yellow cauldron pail, a lantern, and a grin from the person running that table. Clearly they liked her costume! She trotted along, her wings fluttering as she inspected everything going on. She played several games, before pausing for some water. Then she went back... And won a delicious smelling Scream bar.

Haunted Hallows was probably Eva's favorite holidays. The young geist giggled to herself as she ran to the Garden's Park, all but vibrating in excitement. She headed to where they were handing out buckets. It was easy enough for her to pick which one- green of course- and the lantern was nice to have in the dark. She grinned as she headed towards the first home, knocking on the door.

"Trick or Treat!" She shouted, only to be rewarded with a fairly creepy doll. Umm, alright then, on to the next place.

User ImageUser ImageUser Image

User Image
Kaipo frowned. This was his first Haunted Hallows since he came to bellow. His tail flicked in quiet apprehension. If he was running around in the dark, he had to be careful to not trip and fall and get hurt. Still, the temptation of candy lured him- his one true weakness. With a nod, he grabbed a bucket and lantern, heading off to the first house. Instead of candy however, he was met with a box of... Raisins. Who even does that?

He scoffed, walking away from the offending home, noticing a movement out of the corner of his eye. Was that... A vesper cat? It looked different than the usual ones... Huh. "Do.. you want to be my friend?" He leaned down, offering his hand to it, smiling as it rubbed against him. "Alright, I'll be your friend too."

The corners of Riley's mouth turned up in a small smile. They always enjoyed Haunted Hallows. It was fun dressing up in spooky costumes and getting candy. With their usual quietness, they grabbed a basket and headed out to the village. They swung the plastic cauldron back and forth as they marched their way to the front door, knocking soundly and surely.

"Trick-or-treat!" They cried out as the door swung open. The sight of the large lollipop being tossed into their bucket was a pleasant one and with a "Thank you!" they ran off to the next house.

Marcelina was excited. The prospect of free candy was a tantalizing one. Plus, her princess outfit was amazing. She gave a small whirl, watching her skirt swirl around her. Yes, without a doubt, she was probably the best looking girl here. With a grin, she picked out a bucket and headed out. The nearest house wasn't too far away and she quickly walked up the door, pressing the doorbell with determination. The door swung up and the elderly lady who answered it cooed over her dress. As she should. Marcelina preened under the attention and smiled as the lady slipped a pretty bracelet into her basket. This woman knew how to treat a princess.

User ImageAlright, alright, sheesh, don't touch glowing meteorites. Wait, wasn't that the plot of a horror story that Sherald had read them in the hospital? Yeah, that sounded familiar. Anyway, on to the next house, which was festooned with skulls and spider webs. They rung the doorbell and said the mantra--"Trick or treat!"--and Fena nudged him before he could add a threat to that. He loved Fena, but sometimes his brother had no sense of humor.

This house was really good--once again, Frankie got a stuffed animal, this time a stuffed orange vespercat. Awesome! Anything cat related was welcome at their house. He also got a bag of popcorn in a rubber glove, but he had a bad feeling about that one. "Okay, let's hit the next--" He stopped. Their babysitter was crouched on the ground. "Bath? What's wrong?"

User ImageUser Image

User ImageWhat was wrong was yet another meteor that the adult had given him. Was he being punished? Oh well. He shoved it into his pocket with the other one and turned to go, but there was a persistent sound of mewing coming from a nearby bush. It had turned out to be a kitten--a mutant kitten, or else a grievously injured one. It was quite small, and by its behavior, very definitely a kitten. He beckoned it closer, and it consented to letting him scratch his ears. "Just saying hello to a cat," he said. He stood up to go, taking the kids' hands and leading them onward.

The mewing sound came from behind them again. Bath turned to look back. The kitten had followed them! "Okay," he said to the cat. "But don't blame me when your mom gets upset at you."

User ImageUser Image

User ImageFena hadn't received a stuffed animal, but he had received a lollipop, which was pretty good. He watched Bath interact with the kitten. "Awww, the kitten likes you!" he said. "Don't worry, he'll probably stop following us when his mom catches up to him."

User Image

User ImageHisteol smiled. "I can understand that. Asphodel Gardens is pretty good about ramps, though." It was a little strange to be talking to Prometheus after so long out of contact with his friend. He hoped that Prometheus hadn't gotten sick or something--he'd feel terrible if he found out that his friend had been sick and he hadn't been able to help!

Ah, little brother! He might have heard something about Prometheus having family, but now he wasn't sure. Was his brother's, um, well, was the fact that his brother was in a wheelchair related to Prometheus's disappearance? "It's very nice to meet you, Xei. I'm glad your brother has said nice things about us." He didn't mention that Prometheus had never mentioned him. It would be rude. "And yes, this time of year especially. My mother breeds fennekits, and every year she comes to the events to give them away. She sometimes has to chase after them to prevent them from just going off with anybody!" He felt the trembling body at his side. "I don't think this one's one of Mom's, though."

The passing adult dropped something in Teo's bucket, but he was too busy to feel what it was. He'd just have to find out later.

User Image

User ImageWait, Prometheus had a brother? A pang of jealousy shot through Ustule. Her own parents had been planning to imbue another child before they died... She pushed away both pangs, the one of jealousy and the one of sorrow for her parents. No. Jealousy was unfair, and sorrow was...inappropriate for the evening.

Her bucket, too, got a gift in it--a bird skull, from the looks of it. She frowned. What was with all the bones this year? Was it an omen? Or just someone's idea of a Haunted Hallows prank? "Peri might be along later," she said. "He hesn't been sleeping well lately. He said he wanted a nep, end thet when he woke up he'd come join us, if the festival was still going on. I don't know how he plens to find us." Actually, come to think of it, pretty much anyone could find them--it was just a matter of asking people where the pack of four kids in ghost costumes, three of them Litches and one of them a hallow with one wing, went. Add in a spectrefox, and it would be a piece of cake. It could only have been easier to track them if Peri had known that Xei was in a wheelchair! "I'm not sure if we should move on or not," she confessed. "I don't want to make it deeficult for heem to find us, but I know he'd want us to enjoy ourselves."

User ImageOriset being in front, it was her task to open the door. Inside was a long, dark corridor, barely lit by flickering, guttering candles. The place looked deserted. There were cobwebs--real cobwebs, not fake ones--everywhere, and when they walked, clouds of dust rose up from where they stepped. Okay, good design for the hallway, then. Oriset was impressed. No ax murderer, just a subtle set dressing.

As soon as Nai had stepped through the door, it slammed shut and all but one candle, the one at the far end, blew out. A voice whispered, "Keep everything you are given."

Ori looked around, but she could not find the source of the voice. It came from everywhere at once, speaking softly to them. Ori turned back to her friends. "Well, that's easy to remember." As soon as she said that, objects fell from the ceiling and rolled over towards them from the dark corners of the room. Once again, they gathered up the objects together and divided them among themselves. "I'll keep one of the teeth," Oriset said. "I might as well be our custodian of the creepy." Actually, she really wanted something sweet to eat, but reflexively she took the worst option. She didn't want her friends to think that she was greedy, especially as two of them were looking decidedly spooked right now!

User Image

User ImageJie shuddered. The voice had sounded like it was coming from below her! She wanted to leave, now. But there was no turning back--the house knew that she was there. She took a bag of skull-shaped candies and a stuffed cat. No one argued that she deserved the cat. She was the one most visibly shaken.

User ImageUser Image

User ImageWyrdda was also a little nervous. While Jie's tail was curving in a loop and fluffing out, Wyrdda's tail was tucking itself between her legs. Okay, that was creepy in a way she hadn't expected, although she hadn't been all that surprised when a tooth fell and hit her head. Thankfully, no one asked her to keep the tooth. Instead, she took a sugar skull that looked pretty. It was blue, did it need to be anything else?

User Image

User ImageKuni had actually said a swear word when the candles blew out and a voice spoke out to them. He knew they were being observed, but it was...disconcerting, nonetheless. As they divided the trinkets, he made an effort to get the glow necklace. "Everyone else has lanterns," he said. "I didn't take vun because, y'know, fire? Aber I vould like somesing to light ze vay."

Everyone else agreed, and their resident "Earth" slipped the glowing necklace around his neck.

User Image

User ImageNai agreed to take the other tooth that had been given to them, keeping it in a special place so that they could find it later. However, the rest of the group convinced him to take the second plushie. "It's because you're at the back," Jie said. "You deserve a little reward for taking the second-most dangerous position in the party."

Nai was beginning to think that she was right about that, the people running the haunted house didn't seem to want to do anything to them unless everyone was in the same place. That meant that he would be triggering everything from here on out. Besides, it was a pretty cute plushie, even if it was missing an eye...

User ImageIt seemed that a lot of houses were giving plushies this year. The next house they visited was also giving away plushies, although they seemed a little more selective.
"You're so cute!" the grown-up at the door said. "What are you?"

"I'm a fox," Aurabelle said. They got a stuffed bat in return, as well as a handful of hard candy.

User ImageUser Image

User ImageBeing asked what he was for Haunted Hallows was new, but Vederat smiled when it was his turn and bowed. "I'm a raccoon," he said. The adult smiled, but it wasn't as big a smile as the one they'd given Aurabelle. Ved suspected that this grown-up did not like raccoons. Nonetheless, he got a stuffed bat and a candy bar.

User ImageUser Image

User ImageSound Lee pointed to himself when it was his turn. "I'm a cat," he said.

The grown-up did not seem impressed. Maybe it was because he was a Bakeneko, and only one pair of wings short of actually being a cat. He didn't get a stuffed animal, which seemed more than a little unfair. However, he did get some gum, which was good, right?

User Image

User ImageAfter the dart game, they moved on to a spin-the-wheel game. They got three chances to spin a prize. Eidil went first, spinning the wheel firmly. She was rewarded with her pick of stuffed nezubats. She picked one up and stuffed it in her purse with a squeal of delight. Her second spin earned her a glove full of popcorn. She snorted. "Well, I guess I couldn't avoid it forever!"

User ImageUser Image

User ImageCallessa didn't have much more luck than Eidil did--in fact, after her first spin she was already objectively doing worse. She got a handful of candy that she knew from experience was going to be utterly disgusting. Oh well. It wouldn't be Haunted Hallows without tricks, right?

User ImageNiol convinced his siblings that they ought to try out the guess-the-number game. They all groaned, but consented, and he led the way over to a large glass bowl in the shape of a pumpkin. "Guess the number," the vendor said. "Write it down on a piece of card. You each get one guess. If you get within fifty of the correct answer, you get a good prize. Get within ten, and you'll get a very special prize. We also have three magical numbers that will get you a plushie, but aren't necessarily the correct answer." The vendor, a Geist, grinned. "You ready to try?"

"Y'all know we are," Niol said with a grin. He picked up a piece of card and handed it to the vendor. She smiled at him and crumpled up the piece of paper. "Okay, you go stand over here," she pulled him over to the side, "while your friends guess." It was apparently so that he didn't tell them what he guessed. In the end, he got a plushie and a candle with a skull on top, which was creepy, but hey, the plushie was cute! A pink vespercat, he liked it.

User ImageUser Image

User ImageDeni didn't do quite as well as his brother did, but he did at least get within fifty. He picked out a bag of eyeball candies and stepped back.

User Image

User ImageSara also got one of the "good" prizes, but instead of picking out candy, she picked a ghost. Hey, they were cute, and she had two from last time, so she might as well collect the whole set!

User Image

User ImageAnchriesel's next stop was to a dart game booth. It was one of the old classics, with darts that had been enchanted to only do damage to the balloons. Chries wondered if he could learn how that was done someday. He aimed carefully and threw true, winning two prizes with two of his three darts. He picked out a pink vespercat (he didn't have one of those yet!) and a plastic goblet that he learned to his disappointment was cheap junk. Oh well. Such was the way of Haunted Hallows...

User ImageUser Image

User ImageDarryl had seen an interesting game a few feet ahead of them, so Mesektet felt themselves being dragged in that direction. It was a ring toss game that he wanted to try. Mesektet was handed a few rings of their own to toss. Their rewards for their not-very-good efforts was a handful of hard candy. Well, that was better than nothing. They slipped it into the pouch tied around their waist.

User ImageDarryl did indeed want to play the ring toss. There was no point in standing around here all day doing nothing. He wanted to have some fun. So he pulled Mother along to the ring toss game and collected three hoops to throw. Each post had a different prize attached to it. He succeeded in getting one of his rings around the plushie post and was rewarded with a stuffed skeleton. He smiled and put it away in his bucket. He also won a handful of hard candy, which he also added to his bucket.

User ImageUser Image

User ImageJurvik looked around the fair and spied a pair of hybrids and an Imp in a fancy dress. He tapped Xeno on the shoulder and pointed in their direction. "Are those your friends?" he asked.

They moved off in the direction of the ring toss the group was at, where they were each handed three rings to throw. Jurvik only succeeded in getting a handful of candy, which seemed to be a compensation prize of some sort.

User Image

User ImageXenophon looked over in that direction and grinned. "Yeah! That's Talya, anyway." He grabbed Jurvik's and Ruka's hands and lead them in that direction. He tapped Talya on the shoulder and gave her a quick hug. "Hey! You're here early! It's good to see you. This is my dad, Jurvik, and this is my new sister, Nkiruka." He gestured to his sister. "I, um, I invited her along. I hope that's okay." He turned and threw his rings. He only got one ring around a post, but hey, he got a bag of caramel eyeballs, which was pretty sweet!

User Image

User ImageNkiruka didn't want to go off in that direction. There was a strange adult in that direction. But that's where her family was going, so she had to go there. She held onto her dad's hand and shrank back behind him as introductions were made all around. The big adult was named Mesektet. They were the mother of two of the members of their party this evening. Nkiruka was reluctant to go in a group, but she wanted to trick-or-treat with her brother, and he wanted to fulfill a promise to trick-or-treat with his friends. She was sort of stuck. In the meantime, she picked up the rings and tossed them. The first two went wide. She held up the third one and aimed it carefully. Careful...careful...

Just as she was about to throw it, though, something bowled her off her feet. She fell on the grass with a gasp. She looked around wildly for her assailant only to see a bright red and black fennekit at her elbow, enthusiastically licking her face.

Her father rushed forward and helped her up, unceremoniously shoving the kit off. "Get back! Ruka, are you okay?"

Trembling, Ruka nodded. She peered at the fennekit, which was wagging its tail at her. "I-I don't think they were trying to hurt me, Dad. I...I kinda thing they were trying to meet me?" She wasn't sure. But the fennekit yipped and tried to lick her tendrils. She giggled. Sure, it had knocked her off her feet and driven the wind from her body...but it was pretty, and it was clear that the kit was friendly. "Dad, may I keep them?"

Her dad hesitated. "You have to feed them," he said after struggling for a few seconds. "And take them for walk. And potty train them."

Ruka looked at the fennekit again. It yipped once again. "I promise, Dad." Inside, she squealed with delight. Her first pet! She really was an Academy student now! She collected a handful of hard candies and went back to stand with the others.

User ImageA new member of their patrol that she had not been able to vet irked Talya a bit, as did the knowledge that once again, some other hallowed kid had gotten adopted while she never had. But as she looked the kid over, her mind started to change. First of all, it was Xeno's sister, she couldn't be all that bad. Second of all, she was dressed in the theme--she was very clearly another bard. "Nice to meet you, Nkiruka. My name's Talya."

She slipped past the new Geist and picked up her rings to toss. Her first two tosses just earned her more of that same yucky candy everyone else had gotten, but her last toss won her the prize of the evening (so far as she was concerned): a stuffed vespercat in bright pink! She grinned. "Happy Haunted Hallows!"

User ImageQuilo shrugged. "Um, dunno. We could go over to the obstacle course, see how well we do there." To his surprise, his companions agreed. They went over to the obstacle course, limbered up, and left their buckets and lanterns behind. Despite two of them being in dark robes, they actually did pretty well, racing over the obstacle course in a good amount of time. Quilo was the only one of the lot not to get a plushie, but honestly he had so many plushies at home he didn't know what to do with them all! He was quite content with the lollipop he'd won.

User Image

User ImageYaviss did better than Quilo, but not as well as Zuna. The vendor at the obstacle course plopped his choice of bat plush, a green one, into his bucket, but he distinctly heard something hard hit the rock in his bucket. He felt around and felt a--a tooth? Hm. Well, he had been planning on turning some of his tricks into jewelry, but could he find any tool tough enough to carve a tooth?

User ImageUser Image

User ImageZuna did better than either of the boys, but to their disappointment, blue stuffed animals were thin on the ground. Alas, they would have to settle for a green one. They picked a neon green one with fetching pink eyes. Other than that, they won a stick of cotton candy with swirls of sea green. That was actually pretty neat. "Okay, I like that place," they said. "Anyone want to try again?"

User ImageCiel could hear movements from downstairs. Apparently, they had guests down below! She could hear their chit-chat from here. Apparently, two of them were scared, but the other three wanted to move on. She smiled and shook her head. Good luck, kids, she thought. She kept as still as she could, listening to the staticky fake gramophone in the corner.

Something dropped onto her lap. She felt around for it. It was one of the ghosts. It had fallen from the ceiling...oh dear, what should she do? Uncertain, and positive she could hear the voices getting closer to her room, she stuffed the ghost in a pocket of her costume. She'd just have to deal with that later...

"They certenly are, eet ees just a metter of remembering where they are. I did not think much of eet before." He shook his head slightly. "He has not?" Worry... yes, that was an accurate descriptor for what that made him feel. He felt so.. out of touch with them, and it was his own fault, but he fully intended to try and make it up to them. Perigor especially, he was sure that the orange hybrid was probably the most upset.

"We could stick close to this area, et least for a while? There are meny games eet seems." Admittedly he wasn't really keen on wandering off either, not with Peri planning on joining them later, even if they would be fairly easy to track down. Then again, did Perigor even know how many of his friends were going to be gathered...?

A paper ghost flew out of the crowd, nearly smacking Prometheus in the face. He bent over to pick it up off of the ground, then... placed it in his pail. Might as well keep it. Xeizii would like it.

"Oh, she does?" Xeizii watched the scared little creature next to Histeol's feet for a moment. "Thet is very nice. We only hev farm enimals et home, though not very meny anymore. The climet has gotten very unsuitable." For once, he actually frowned a little, though it was quickly replaced by a smile. Whether or not that was discernible behind his mask, though... "I em sure Prometheus did not mention much ebout me, he seys he has been very homeseeck. So I em not very surprised thet you did not know ebout me." Ah, a little jab at Promme, he couldn't help it. He glanced over his shoulder at Prometheus who had gotten a bit... awkward and stiff at the mention that he'd been that homesick to not even want to talk about his family.

"Thenk you for looking efter him. Oh, what ees thees?" Mid sentence someone had passed him a candy bar- specifically a scream bar. Eyeing it for a moment he tried to figure out why exactly it was called that.. but, deciding it was probably just a name, set it into his pail for now.

"Oh I agree! They'd totally make a killing if they allowed imports. But I think they're picky about it because they're mostly hand made, y'know?" He shrugged, popping one hip to the side to rest his hand on while he spoke. Nothin' like a sassy neutral pose, eh? "Though, I mean, just because they don't actively ship outside of Swirling Sands doesn't mean people can't go there and buy them I guess~." Amatus hummed in thought, thinking about it for a moment before Delilah made her comment about 'being proud.'

Immediately he stood up straight again, hands clapping together as his tail rose up in an interested sort of wave. "You mean you made that? Oh!! That is SO cool!" Honestly, she might as well have just told him he'd won a hundred bucks or something. "Are you going to school for that?? Ooooh we might go to the same place!" More friends? More friends! Delilah was in for it now...

His squeal of delight attracted a nearby booth person who - since Ama was already being quite loud - decided it would be funny to toss a scream bar at him. He had no idea what it was, but decided to put it into his bucket anyway.

Even though she was, well, more than a little shy, Ariadne loved festivals. She loved games, dancing, music, and the cute little shops! The crowds that ended up there, however, were a bit intimidating. That, of course, was why you brought along a close friend. Preferably someone who was a bit more adept at handling... people. So, of course, she made plans (and costumes! Those are important!) in advance.

She grinned towards her friend as they headed towards into the festival, squeezing lightly on her hand. She gasped slightly when she saw the some of the prizes at the booths. "Oh Daya, we should go see if we can win something!" With an almost child-like glee, she headed to a game. Ring toss, she was fairly good at that and got a fairly decent score. She smiled as the man running the game handed her a bag of candy as her prize. Opening it, she offered some to her friend.

Hawthorn was decked in his best black suit with red pinstripe, an Eldritch knot securely tied, a diamond (read: zircon) studded tie pin in place and a blood-read rose boutonniere. To turn his fancy dress into a costume, he'd added a sparkling red set of horns and a long wired-red demon tail. He walked along the streets, eyeing the decorated houses, his skull-headed gentleman's cane tap-tapping along the sidewalk as he made his way to meet up with Cain and Thanatos.
He caught sight of them ahead, through the crowds, Cain's head bowed a little, his jaunty top hat the only sign of Hallowed spirit about his person, Thanatos looking very sleek in a vampire costume. Hawthorn felt the corner of his mouth curl up with pleasure. "Evening, gentlemen!" he called as he slipped between a passing Freshling mob.

He'd picked up a little memento...

Azriel looked in to his pail disappointed in a trick he had just revised. inside his pail was a rock, why would some one give a child a rock? he sniffled wanting to have something sweet when suddenly he heard a noise. as he turned to face it a cute Fennekit sat there looking up at him it to looked just as sad as he did and it appeared to be blind he began to walk back to the group as loki laughed at azriels misfortune. but the Fennekit growled at loki she soon backed down as the cute famillure began to nuzzle in to azriels leg.

as Kahlua garbed some candy from the bowl she felt a overwhelming sadness flood her as she pulled out a pretty locket. she didn't want to leave it alone so she put it in her pail and went back, but she stopped hearing a meow as a Vespercat was looking at her from the bushes and began to fallow her she was smitten with how fluffy it was as she picked it up and began to carry it around it didn't seem to mind much.

loki went to grab some candy next as it seemed the owner of the bowl put a fresh bowl out it was filled with candy having all the icky stuff at the bottom she wasted no time in garbing some candy eyes with a cheesy grin but the other girls stared at him not wanting her to pick on azriel again. but the truth was Loki was jelous, she was upser that azriel was geting all the plushies and pets.
