Thorne followed the group from the empty room to the next. His mind was swollen with thoughts and concerns and Lucas - ******** it all, Lucas - but he forced it out in favor of the people he was with now.
Tagging close to the others, Thorne followed them silently towards the yellow conference room.

Chris was jolted out of his thoughts by Jamie, giving a glance at him. "Hm? Oh, yeah. I'm coming," He smiled, waiting for the pair to pass in front of him before he trailed behind.
He was still keeping an eye out, but he paid enough attention to the pair. "While I appreciate the thought, I don't think I'd want to hold your hand if it was offered. You're a good two feet shorter than me Shiloh," He teased, giving him a laugh.

Being shorter than Shiloh meant Mr. Watts was a good even-more-than-two-feet-taller than Jamie. It was actually a bit surprising Jamie hadn't been completely intimidated by his size. He'd been intimidated in general, sure, but he was afraid of almost everyone at first.
"It's... not so bad," Jamie said with a small laugh, finding some small form of solace in the attempt at humor. It wouldn't hurt to join in, right? Lifting his hand, Shiloh's in tow, he continued, "It's, um, actually kinda nice..." That admission made him look a little bashful, though.-- Jamie DelaxcroixHP: 20/20

The rolling video in the conference room might have been disturbing, if worse things weren't occurring in real time. Lily listened in silence at the exchange over the radio, her lips pursed as things slowly went from bad to worse. Running over there wouldn't have changed the outcome, but she still couldn't help from feeling the guilt churning deep in her chest, drawing her gaze down and away from the others. At the end of the day, this was their fault, it was all their fault that someone had slipped through their fingers. Whatever happened next was a simple extension of the miscalculation they'd made when she hadn't searched harder, when she hadn't gotten out of her tree and done something. It was a sobering thought. "One more, and then upstairs?" Lily asked to no one in particular, walking slowly towards their final target. She looked across the concourse, where she could see where the other team was prepping to climb, looking considerably more battered and bruised than Team Husbando. It was good fodder for the guilt pile laying on her heart, and she watched them haggardly climb the stairs before she made another scan of the room while she followed the others towards the yellow conference room. --- Lily Babineaux --> Yellow ConferenceHP: 20/20

"Hey. HEY!" Shiloh, for as on edge and upset and lost as he had felt, wheeled on Chris with a very familiar petulance, "That's not—! That's ********' low! I could kick your a**!" he huffed at his teacher, balling a fist up with his hand. The other one attempted to ball up too, except that it was occupied, and he only ended up squeeze-crushing Jamie's hand for a moment. Whoops, sorry Jamie.
And then he was even more flustered when Jamie spoke, leaving Shiloh gawking between the two of them in a moment of blissful normalcy. "K-Kinda nice?! It damn well better be ******** nice!" he was gesticulating with his fist wildly, foot occasionally stomping. "I don't do this for ********' anyone you know! Holy ********>

"If anything, you're the one who's low," Chris pointed out with a good natured smile, "Although I don't sincerely doubt you could kick my a**." He laughed again though, feeling some tension relieve.
"Aw Jamie, you're the chosen one by Shiloh," Chris teased, smiling anyways. Shiloh was amusing enough but it felt good they were friends.

To be fair, Jamie hadn't quite expected Shiloh to react the way he did. It's not that he'd never seen the side of Shiloh that got a little too excited about being poked at, but almost every reaction he'd had since they'd started their search was solemn or restrained. It actually felt nice to see him getting into it, even if it was a bit on the ridiculous side.
"I-It is nice!" he responded, snorting in a held-back laugh. "I mean it, I mean it!" And even if Mr. Watts was just fooling around, Jamie couldn't help but feel a swell of silly pride at being Shiloh's apparent 'chosen one.'
"I dunno if you should fight Mr. Watts," Jamie muttered as he leaned over towards Shiloh. It was a whisper-in-your-ear type of lean, but Shiloh was gesticulating too much for him to get too close.-- Jamie DelaxcroixHP: 20/20

The yellow conference room is messy as hell, and the first person through the door gets clotheslined by an electrical cord. There are two students, a girl and a boy, very clearly sophomores still working on their finals. One of them is attempting to ward the group off with a stool, and the other is cringing behind her. "Stay the ******** back," says the girl, having spotted Lily and Jamie. "We are not joining your disgusting furry club!" Meanwhile, Chris has hung back and spotted a ******** were exiting the stairwell on their side of the building. The other group can't spot weres to save their lives, apparently. YOUR NEXT COMBAT POST WILL COME AT 2200 PST YOUR NEXT GM POST WILL COME AT 0900 PST ON MONDAY THE 23RD Rules Amendment As there are ranged weapons present in the game, rules have been created to account for them. As all guns in the game are property of the police department, firing them comes with a consequence of having to explain in a later thread why you fired to your boss. You cannot be damaged by the were, but the gun is a risky proposition. To fire, please roll a 1d10. The damage scale looks like this: 1-4: You fire your gun into the chaos and do a flat 5dmg to your peer with the lowest health, including you. 5-7: You fire your gun into the chaos and do a flat 5dmg to the were. 8-10: You fire your gun into the chaos and kill the were. You now have to explain why you wasted all of your deescalation training and killed somebody who was not in their right mind.

Chris' paranoia was apparently well warranted again - he spotted the second were coming from the stairwell and with one glance back at the terrified students in the room he knew he wanted to keep it away from them. What the hell were Autumn and the rest of them doing up there.
"Another were, coming from the stairwell guys!" He yelled, and then making sure that at least no one would get jumped, he ran towards the were, trying to pin them down.
His attempt didn't appear to be super success full and he got a handful of claws raked against his face for his efforts, but at least it wouldn't surprise anyone and they could pin it down (hopefully) easier than last time.

Thorne decided in that moment that his people skills were less needed in the heat of the moment than his fists. Therefore, when Chris screamed at them that there was another were, Thorne swore and ran out of the room, pouncing after the other man and throwing his shoulder into the afflicted kid to pin them back against the wall.
This, unfortunately, came with the consequence of claws. More claws, raking up right across the side of his collarbone, tearing a line of red from his shoulder to his ear.
#OOPS.
Thorne swore and tried to hook his hands around the weres wrists with Chris.
"Please tell me," he panted, "we have more than one set of handcuffs!"

It was a snap second decision. Despite the short lived lightheartedness of the moment, Shiloh was on top of it the second Chris called out.
"Get the ******** back!" he yelled at Jamie, letting go of his hand to roughly shove him back. He was acting on adrenaline again. The safety of others was more important than his own.
He was a second too late though; Chris and Thorne were both there in an instant, a spray of red accompanying them down both their faces. <******** slammed down his full weight on one of the were's legs, ignoring the uncomfortable—definitely bruising—sensation of their bone sliding under skin. Whatever, they would ******** live.
"Does anyone have any more ******** 'cuffs?!" his voice cracked a little as he helped to grapple with the thrashing were, trying not to panic too hard at the bloody sight of the two adults present with him.

"HURGH!!!" Algie choked on the cord, surprised and jolting before he tore it from his neck and threw it aside. "CHRIST! Calm down.." Alg walked slowly forward, careful not to get too close to that stool, with his hands out. "Calm down now.." His hand settled on his chest, "I'm Professor Mixlin.. We've cleared the floor. Jeremiah over there is a police officer." He motioned vaguely out there. "They are going to-" There was sounds of fighting, "Clear the floor and if we stay calm we can then get you both to safety." shibrogane GOIN INTO ROOM - trying to calm ur kids

Maybe America was being a little too intent on potential threats of the furry kind and not nearly enough on...was that a ******** electrical cord? She couldn't help a huff of laughter as Algernon Mixlin, of childhood crush fame, got attacked by wiring. "Jesus wept you two, did you booby trap this place?"
She didn't even notice there was a bird perched on her head as she shook it in amused admiration behind Algie.

"America," Jeremiah called before he headed towards the were that everyone was going after, "there's a bird on your head. A very pretty blue one." He knew his spouse would be able to handle the students, even if he was making a face at the fact he got clotheslined. The detective lieutenant was coming up behind the others, calling out, "I've got one more pair on me!" In regards to the handcuffs. He winced as he saw the damage that both Chris and Thorne took - worry briefly that Thorne was already injured and - before he was helping and slamming his weight in to help pin them against the wall. With three tall men trying to pin and then a teenager on the legs, they had to be doing good. Hopefully avoid getting too injured as well. Jeremiah Mercer // HP 20 Were // HP 37
