"All I know this is dumb and dumber's land. One side has the werewolves blinded by power and then there's the kitsunes blinded by pride... I don't see the difference between them, of course, taking out the Kitsunes would merely use you as payment to the werewolves should they not be able to sustain the fight. For some reason we seem to be a guilty pleasure for Werewolves."(( OOC: ))

"I guess I really screwed up, huh!" He said slapping his knees in remittance. "Then since its my mess I'll be the one to make the call, ok? We're going to kitsune town. If their as prideful as you say they'll be able to appreciate how sick of freaking werewolves I am!" Now he was gathering his things, rolling up the notepad in his blanket and taking a moment to put out the fire.
"Come on, we're going." Apparently he felt good enough to walk after all, the sudden adrenaline boost fueling him for one last go into the breach. He would flick his wrist over the circle for Scentless he'd drawn, and then over the one that would house Ivory through the journey.
Outside was early morning. Katsuro could feel the winter lapping at his mind, trying to break him; it tried so hard to make him look back over his shoulder to the hotel to where the wolves waited for him to grow weary.
"Alright," he asked Ivory on the way, "how do I get to the nearest Kistune village?"

"That would be Charcoal Village... Like I said, it's all the way to the south."Explained the girl while looking at Hideaki with hesitance. "Are you sure you can walk this out? It's at the very least 200 miles away. And I'm not carrying sick people around. It just doesn't work like that. Are you 100% certain you are good to go?"Ivory asked staring right into his eyes. "Why would you want that stupid book? you can barely do any magic at all... it's useless."She clearly knew about this place's geography and history but Mages were so rare, almost exclusively to the kitsunes that it's became obvious Ivory didn't knew how a Sorcerer worked. (( OOC: ))

It's semi-lifeless pages were the warmest welcome he had in this place, and nowhere in this would Hideaki find shame.
"Oh, I'm very happy!" He cheered rifling through the pages he'd already read, as if reliving the old times with that precious partner of his; the muse to his instrument--or perhaps it was the other way around--kept ticking through the memories and trials regardless of the world around him. It was a world apart, but in no way was it ignorant. As soon as he got to the next spot of free space, as if by some quantum deliverance, the enclosed figure of Ivory and a couple werewolves appeared in their rightful home, in Katsuro's unwavering scrutiny.
"This is where you'll be staying from now on," said Hideaki looking down on her. "You still won't be able to interact with anyone else, which is good for you since you have a werewolf on either side of you, but for that reason it should feel just like home." He couldn't help chuckling at this.
He continued flipping through the pages of the old god-forsaken book. There was so much he could do with this thing! He learned to appreciate having all his powers indexed perfectly according to power, type, element, level, all that good crap. You could imagine, though, that the only thing keeping him from finding the "fly" spell was that he was feeling nostalgic.
"Ok, here we go," But eventually it would come to that time: business time. Kneeling down, he etched a circle and the arcane symbol in his book that was associated with flight while keeping his eyes shut and mouthing something sans audio. Soon enough they would start to lift off the ground.
"Ivory, are you ready! Everyone knows werewolves can't fly, right?" He asked rhetorically as he tightened the blankets they brought around them. "So I thought about it, and decided--" now several stories above the barn-- "that if we're up in the jet stream there'll be no way they can reach us! Sure, it'll be chilly, but we'll be at the Kistune place in no time!" Now truly ecstatic, Katsuro would take off toward the south to the Kitsune village. This was all possible because of how much the book, like any magician, would boost his powers.

Soon Hideaki would bump into a thin layer of a forcefield. rather than repelling him it merely graced the boy as he passed through, it was a detection system. The kitsunes knew there was an outsider, it flied. And was on the village's direction. Ivory looked around, she was afraid of sudden heights but there was nothing to hold on to, so she merely remained quiet. (( OOC: ))

To be honest, he didn't think he would get there, that it was just some kind of cruel joke with nothing but blank yet hopeful horizon as its punchline. He landed only a few feet from the place with a smoothness that seemed beyond his knowledge of the tension looming ahead; really he was just running low on power, and his body wouldn't stand for a rough landing in the half-frozen condition it was in. Ivory would have to thank him later for the restraint.
"Made it!" Cheered the boy after a moment of chattering and chuffing to warm the old gums up. His lips were blue and the tips of his fingers hurt terribly, but thanks to his idea of wrapping himself up he was safe.
The town itself was nothing like the de facto cells of the werewolf outcroppings--some of which he'd passed on the way--and hearkened to a much more intellectual period in the European city-state development. Though small compared to most Earthly cities, the charming Kitsune village was coated with a chromey layer of evidence for the markings of a people at the height of comfort. ... But no people--or foxes. You know what I mean.
Taking a quick look at himself in a window, Katsuro decided that he should fix himself up a little bit. The blanket turned into an impromptu robe and his book the Necronomicon retook its comfortable place under his arm in scholarly fashion. Optimism was the emblem he wore on his chest as he and Ivory entered the town nonchalantly.

He had a seat on the cold stones, rocking to generate some heat for himself.

Suddenly Hideaki was attacked by a couple of fireballs which fiercely scorched the place on hit. out of the smoke, cloaked kitsunes ( with their faces covered to protect them from the smoke) would begin their assault on the foreseen invaders. It seemed Ivory's words were true since these guys apparently knew how to do some magic. (( OOC: ))

Hideaki rolled and was able to get out of the way of the fire. Not ready for a fight, he put his hands over his hand and knelt. He was encased in fire it seemed, not unlike yesterday's brawl in the hotel, but certainly not the same side he wanted to be on as the old firewall routine was seemed to be turned around on him.
"I'm not here to fight!" He called out from the inferno.

The prideful race known as the kitsunes would not take easy someone who broke into their village, so they beat up Hideaki and dragged his body to one of the prisons they held. tossing him and chaining him up on one of their cells, the kitsunes would then leave to think what would the best course of action be for this infiltrator. "ahh. Brings some good memories, doesn't it?"Ivory giggled while staring at the scenery. "Tho my welcome was better, it was spectacular!"(( OOC: ))
