So, the dolphin wanted to play tag? Alvn didn't think he'd be able to outswim or keep up with a dolphin! He laughed a bit at the image the popped up in his head. "They play with toys? Like....Is it like dogs? The whole fetch and not give back thing, or...? I'd be interested in trying it. Sounds fun!"

Sal sat in the kitchen as Vlad began to prepare dinner, loosely braiding his own hair to wait and pass the time. When Vlad asked him to go get some herbs, Sal smiled softly before standing. "Of course~. Which herbs do you need?" Sal was happy things were going so well. Kai and Alvin already seemed so much happier now that they each had a friend and Vlad was being kind and welcoming towards the teen. What more could a parent ask for?

Alvin took the ring from Kai and looked at it before the dolphin bumped him again, clearly urging him for a game. Was it...safe for the dolphin to fetch a small ring? If Kai said it was alright. Alvin tossed the ring for the dolphin to chase, but didn't throw it too hard or too far. No use losing the ring.

Sal smiled softly and nodded. "I'll pick the ripest tomatoes I have~." The merman went out to his garden to pick the basil and tomatoes Vlad asked for. He noticed Kai and Alvin down in the water. Sal had great eyesight. Not as strong as a vampire's, but enough to where he could see them. They were adorable~! After harvesting the requested crops, Sal returned to the kitchen and kissed Vlad's cheek. "Kai and Alvin are out swimming at the beach. It's nice to see Kai so happy. And, it looks like Alvin's cheered up."

Alvin couldn't help but laugh as he played fetch with the dolphin. There was a first time for everything, and this was the best. He looked over at Kai, clearly very happy with the game. Alvin's eye caught something in the corner of his sight and he looked down. It didn't register immediately that it was just a turtle, and he ended up falling back into the water. His face turned red when he realized what it was. Scared by a turtle. Wow. At least it was a fairly big one. Who am I kidding? That doesn't matter.

Sal gave a shake of his head and laughed a bit. Really, he worried too much. Alvin seemed like a sweet boy. Maybe a bit clumsy, but then again, so was everyone. "Don't worry so much, Vlady. You'll only end up jinxing it." He shivered a bit when his neck was kissed, and the merman returned it with a kiss to the cheek. Sal stood with Vlad, braiding pieces of the vampire's hair absentmindedly as the other cooked. When he spoke, the merman smiled. "I'll go get them~?"

Alvin looked at Kai and gave a small sigh before standing. "Maybe the safety of the area drew it here? I hear animals do that sometimes. Wonder why it's beaching....Do you think it's going to lay eggs?" Alvin didn't know if it was mating season, though. How did marine life schedules work? "I'm just glad it didn't attack me. Guess it doesn't really care right now."

Sal nodded before going over to the water hole and slipping in, swimming through the tubes and out to the sea. He did a few loops and spins before looking around for Kai and Alvin. When he spotted them, Sal swam up to them. Alvin looked a little flustered. Did he miss something? "Hey, you two. Looks like you're awfully close~. Sorry to break up the party, but dinner's nearly ready."

Alvin blushed when Sal came out of nowhere and told them dinner was ready. He moved away from Kai nervously before the other offered to swim him back to he castle. Alvin shook his head. "I'll walk back. You two can go on ahead. I'll be right up."

Sal tilted his head. A turtle? And, he missed it? Aw....He loved turtles. Especially the big ones. When Alvin said he'd walk back, Sal got the sense he wanted to be alone for a few minutes. Swimming over to him, Sal hugged the teen before kissing his head like mothers often did. "Okay. Kai and I will go back through the tunnels."

Alvin spent a few more minutes on the shore, watching the dolphins swim back and forth playfully with each other, before he dressed. He had to let the trunks dry first. They weren't totally dry, but....Well, whatever. Returning up to he castle, he found his way to the kitchen by following the smell and voices. Walking into the large room, Alvin smiled softly at the group before finding a place to sit with them. "The food smells great. What did you make, Vladimir?"

Oh. That was nice of Vladimir. "I did. It was great. I didn't know dolphins were so cool." He didn't mention the two merfolk he had encountered, not knowing how Vladimir and Sal would react. Or, Kai. He took a few bites of the food, smiling a bit. It was great! When Vladimir asked Kai if he wasn't eating, Alvin looked over at the other. Was he okay? Was he...uh...thirsty maybe? Looking down, Alvin rubbed his neck. "Should I eat in the other room?"
