Solari - Post #7
Solari could not believe it, could not believe the number of people that wanted to go to war. The Matori shook her head; no way she was not getting involved in this. It had nothing to do with her and she didn’t’ want to go and get herself killed. Plus, why would any Matori want to have Obans at their side on the battlefield? Turning, Solari walked away from the cheering crowd. She was not about to, that was for sure. She didn’t trust the Obans as far as she could throw them and that wasn’t very far. Those who were bloodthirsty could go and play warrior, she was going back home.

Eleina - Post SixShe nodded, and was surprised to hear the leaders speaking up. So they were going to war. She smiled over at Karothdra. "Well I guess that's final. I'm assuming you have to head out? I'm going to head back home to tell my parents," and to make arrangements for Myrsky, "but hopefully I'll see you out there."
She looked around, happy that no fights had broken out with the news. It seemed that things were looking up. Nothing like a great battle to bring people together.

Karothdra - Post #7“Looks like it’s time to go,” Karothdra cracked her knuckled and a smile. The King had chosen and they were going to war. “See you on the battlefield!” And with that farewell, Karothdra turned and left. Excitement and anxiety made Karothdra’s step a little peppier as she headed for the castle. Surely her father would not want her to be late; she would be a horrible daughter to a general if she was after all. She was excited because not only would she be able to fight on of these Alkidikes, but she would also be able to show up her brother. Oh, this was going to be amazing.

Amarone Post 7
Amarone shifted herself back and forth as she listened to the leaders direct the people. She was lost in the waves of conversation and rushing, that she almost missed Istanell speaking up to her again.
Spinning on her toes, she looked wide-eyed at the shifter as he suggested she contact her family through a kinfa. It was a good idea, but she felt she needed to do more.
"It was a pleasure, and I wish you the best of luck with your family and wherever you end in this war."
She decided she would see if anyone would be traveling with the healing party - maybe she could offer some help or even with the tools and the items of the army. And if anything, she could go home and help her family stay safe.

Illian Post 6
"So we go to war, officially." Illian murmured, dark eyes somber. He turned towards the older Matorian and simply looked at him. "Knowing how to fight and dying for a cause you don't believe in, is different than not knowing how to fight and still throwing yourself against the enemy. You fight because you have something to fight for, and that makes you all the more stronger, because you know what's at stake." He gestured towards some of the nearby older Matorians, who looked all fired up at the declaration, but if you looked closer at them, you could see how scared they were.
"I'm going to find my brothers and see what they plan on doing. Istanell I know will fight but Incanthis is a healer. I'm not sure if he'll plan on staying with the wounded or not." He refused to glance at Cerith as he spoke, "Either way he'll need someone to protect him as he works." He paused for a moment, "If he even plans on going with us."

Abie Post 5He felt a boost. Yes! He had a cheer section. Picking up a second orb the youth took a few breaths before tossing the object. Gleefully cheering as he made the shot. As he excitedly darted forward he was met by a amused Mave who gestured to the toys. He looked at the blue and purple janarim his brother held before picking out a red and gold janarim as well as a silver and green janarim. Holding out the red and gold to Incanthis he smiled. "A memory. We each have a Janarim toy to remind us of this memory. Though, this is the start of a war. One...I don't think we'll take part. We can still think of this day as a fun outing for the three of us....right?" he asked with a sad sort of look to his eyes. He was cheered by his siblings words. Aqio could sound so profound. Much more than him sometimes. His arm found its way around Incanthis' shoulder again as Aqio stepped up to the game. The larger male smirked at his sibling before nodding. "Alright. Lets go home, then?" Aqio Post 5Aqio watched his brother and smiled, it was sorta creepy but still cute. As he watched his sibling the smaller male spoke without hesitation. "This war means everything. As much as our Mentor would want us to take part, he would understand our reluctance on the grounds that we are simply not ready. Neither of us would be mentally mature enough to make a rational choice when our lives are on the line. That being said..."He stepped up to the game and tossed a orb into a vase. "This was still a fun day. Lets go home to tell Mentor all about it."

Edicie, Post Two
Edicie slipped into the shadows of the stalls after hearing the king’s decision and the leader’s stances on the subject. She understood Naria’s hesitancy, the Matori race was war weary, but the Oban’s were too. Personally she wondered if the Alkidikes would push farther past Sauti. Edicie shuddered and shook her head. Politics made her angry, and stopped her worrying about the far future. She shook her head of those thoughts, for right now she would return to her master and tell her the news, then prepare to go to the aid of others. Her master was probably too old to go, but she was sure the old woman would want to do her part and not feel like a burden.
It would be Edicie’s first time away from home, away from Sulburi’s lands, from Oba.
She stopped in her tracks at the back door of the house she shared with her master, her hand just above the knob. Her other hand curled into a fist, her resolve to be brave no matter the outcome. Life was precious no matter what race a person was, and she had decided to dedicate her life to healing to preserve it.
Nodding to herself, she opened the door and went to her master to share the hard news of upcoming war.

Lirende Illian - Sorry for the wait! robot kitten Mynshaka - Sorry for the wait! Scarlett Arbuckle Cerith - Sorry for the wait! Jelanii Post 5Jelanii hadn't realized just how hard he pulled on his sister. He felt terrible and his already bad mood grew a little worst. He fumbled for words. It seem he was always fumbling for words when it came to Cerith. He often wished they had the connection they had back when they were children. Sometimes he would see it, but then something would happen and it was gone again. Maybe in time... "I'm sorry Cerith. I didn't mean to be rough." He took in her words, turning them over, and intended to answer her, when the Matorian once again came over and started draping himself all over his sister. He scowled the short and stocky male. "How is it that you know my sister?"Anything more he was going to say was stopped as Illian came over. He swallowed and felt his chest clenched. At his words Jelanii nodded and he reached out and took his hand. He gave him a lopsided smile. "Agree to disagree it is."He gave Illian's hand a small squeeze, a silent apology for his harsh words earlier. He knew he could be a bit abrasive when it came to his opinions. Then the announcement came and Jelanii couldn't help scowling. So there was no other option than to either run or fight with the Obans. He sighed, holding on to her words about showing the Obans their strength. But could he fight with an Oban at his back. He looked at his sister. "Let me think on it."His attention turned to Illian as he stated he needed to find his brothers. Jelanii nodded and then frowned. Brothers? Had Illian found more besides Istanell? Something he would have to ask about more, right now there were decisions to make.

Uncountable Shaka post, just doing so that Vy has info in response to his last post! "Found her wandering in the wilds near my home.. had fun capturing a Trotter with her... Prolly more fun fer me than her though!" He chuckled. He wrapped an arm about Cerith and gave her a parting hug. "Ah've got to get back now that a decision's been made... Don't get yerself killed fancy lady!" He fluttered a stocky hand at the brother in a mocking wave as he parte, heading home as he didn't want anything to do with war... yet.
