He was relatively excited to meet back up with Cyrus, and actually have time for a proper conversation; despite learning about the reason behind his disappearance all those years ago, he was still curious about what he'd been doing lately. He had looked fairly well during their brief encounter back at the Haunted House, though that had only raised more questions. Speak of the devil, or... think of the devil, no sooner had Apollo gotten the thought out of his head then Cyrus replied, he gave a full smile upon reading it and decided to reply a bit more playfully.
He'd only just sent his response when Kahn nudged his leg before he dashed ahead, alerting him to another pokemon right before he went off to take care of it. The feline made quick work of the little construction-worker beaver, and afforded one of his paws a quick swipe of the tongue before he gave his trainer a pointed look and started forward towards Northern exit, which had just appeared, the outbreak of light and distant line of buildings their destination.

The remaining three could feel something palpable in the air. Scarlett's suspicions had been right, the pokemon of the forest were much less domesticated than those that prowled around Nacrene city. These pokemon were truly wild, which meant they would be stronger, and teeming throughout the forest. Yes, there would be plenty of strong opponents here. One of which was bold enough to dart after Nala with a pursuit. The little lioness roared and tumbled with the whirlipede, giving it a nasty shock over and over until it finally fainted. With that, she shoved the bug off of her and made her way back to Scarlett, who was waiting with a potion and a good scratch behind the ears. "Looks like we need to stay on our toes around these parts, eh Nala?" She suggested. Cypher took a scan of the area, and when he indicated that all was clear, they pressed on, though Scarlett soon got another text from Zak, and started to read it, letting her pokemon keep an eye out for her.

After bagging all the items she got from her crew, Skye put her iPod away and stood. Now that she had a crystal shard, she had to figure out who to give it to. Who on her team did she want to recolor the most first? Obviously, a team of uniquely shiny Pokémon appealed to her, so she wanted to use shards on all of them. It was a shame she could probably only use it on one at a time. Well, there was plenty of time to figure it out.

tabUnder the deep shade of the forest, Kraven walked along the stone path that lead to the bridge she'd crossed earlier. The ebon-haired woman would've liked to just run immediately to the next gym, but first she needed to train up her pokemon before that. About a quarter of the path away from the bridge, she took her pokemon with her off the path, into the foliage, and towards the grasses many pokemon had taken residence in. "Alright, I think this is far enough guys," she stated, setting Gungnir down and allowing the two on her shoulder to jump off. "Now, let's see who needs to train first..."
Pulling out her pokedex, the dark screen illuminated to a soft blue, before the details and menu options fully loaded up. She brought up the pokemon she had with her, and looked at the information for each to decide who she needed to train first. Torch and Noris were already pretty strong, so they could probably sit it out for now, if not entirely, but others like Gaine and the two canine's she'd captured were very much in need of training. Making her final decisions however, her gaze finally turned behind her, the screen of her device dimming as she turned it off. "So, is there a reason you followed me?"

Heading into the forest, Ace could feel himself start to get on edge. He detested having to come this way, but without airborne transportation to go over the forest, he'd eventually have to suffer it's presence eventually. Hopefully this would be worth it. Folding his arms, he continued to keep his distance from the girl, but when she turned off the stone path, he was forced to close the distance in order to keep her within eye-sight. This unfortunately lead to his founding. When she turned to spot him, Ace froze for but a moment letting a smile quickly cover his lips. "We merely seem to be heading in the same path." He replied sharply raising a hand to his tie. Continuing to walk he by passed the young woman before turning on a heel. "But, I did wish to inquire about something before our paths diverted." His ten point smile crossed over his lips, silver hair falling over a shoulder as he leaned forward some. "Your Pokemon... are very unique, beautifully in fact. I was wondering where you happened to obtain such hauntingly beautiful Pokemon?"
Derosa rolled her eyes at the event unfolding before her. With Deus attached to her, the rose-handed Pokemon leaped from Ace's shoulder to the forest floor below them. With her trainer preoccupied, she decided to have some fun with Aiolos by finding some wild Pokemon for him to deal with. The Oshawott obviously needed to deal with some anger issues. In her mind she was only helping him. Aiolos himself had taken notice of the girl's Oshawott, finding it interesting to see another of his kind... a familiar Oshawott at that.

tabKraven's gaze studied the man as he approached, finding the excuse of the same path on her standard list of answers she isn't willing to take. In addition, a part of Willow's unease as she hid behind her trainer's leg seemed to spill out, leaving her trainer weary of the trainer in front of her... but not exactly unfriendly. She just wasn't sure if he was looking for a battle or not. Though his smile was far from winning her over, she was happy to take the compliment. "Thanks, I think I could say the same about your pokemon."
Judging by the Oshawott, Kraven assumed he'd just started as well, despite the other two pokmeon at his side. She'd recognized the Roselia easily enough, but the other wasn't something she was familiar with. A newly discovered one, perhaps? Either way, as Gungnir once again leaned on his trainer's foot, she continued. "If you're talking about Willow here, I just got her recently, in fact. At a festival called the Tanabata. Her trainer left her abandoned, and by the time I got there it didn't seem like they were coming back. So I just kinda... let her join me."
Though Willow couldn't help but shrink behind her trainer, the unfortunately fresh memory of her trainer's departure still fresh in her mind, her bright, golden eyes met Kraven's with a lost smile, matching her trainer's. She soon turned her attention back to Ace, however, arms crossed as she explained further. "I've got a couple other interesting pokemon, but for the most part I either just caught or hatched them."

Tanabata was it? He'd heard of it, read the fliers. However, he'd been far to busy being Team Royale's 'Face card' to do much of anything with the event. Festivals and such trivialities weren't on his 'to do' list either way. Though, if they held such rare Pokemon like that Kirlia, perhaps he'd par take in one next time, given he was now posing as a trainer. Such trivialities were becoming of a trainer were they not? "I see." He finally replied, softly easing into a casual 'natural' smile. "I obtained Derosa here through a family member. She's particularly fond of the Roselia line, so she offered Derosa as a parting gift when I left home to begin my journey." his acting was on point as usual. A budding trainer to be, out to explore the world and all it had to offer. Internally he had to keep his emotions in tact, mind as solid as a brick... a Kirlia or any Psychic-type for that matter could spell disaster for him if he even for a moment let anything slip through. Directing his attention to his beloved Derosa, he noticed Deus as well. "Deus, now he's an oddity. We're not to sure where he came from. Just appeared one day out of the blue looking for a meal. He's a weak one, only knows Night Shade as an offensive move, but he's just a baby... freshly hatched it would seem." Resting his hands loosely on his waist, Ace leaned into a hip some. Come to think of it, he should really focus on training the little one... perhaps switch training would work? It'd take a long time... time Ace didn't entirely have sparingly.
Regardless he had a conversation to keep going. Charisma to flaunt. "You said you had more interesting Pokemon? Would you mind terribly if I asked to see them? I do hope it's no bother. I... well, I'm actually quite curious is all." He honestly was, but not merely for kicks or child-like innocence. He wanted to know what he was up against.

tabAs Ace began to act less... "showy", for lack of a better term, Kraven seemed to relax as well, listening to his explanation of his own pokemon. Willow however, remained hidden behind her trainer's leg, more out of shyness than anything else now. Sure, she wasn't exactly fond of the vibes she got from the man, but other than that there was nothing for her to really object to. She wasn't at the point where she could actively peer into someone's mind yet, only project the choppy, fragmented speech of her inner voice. "Interesting," Kraven noted, looking over the Giozard for a moment. When Ace asked if he could see her other pokemon, Kraven nodded, grabbing the ball of one of her pokemon. "Sure, not a problem-"
As the ebon-haired woman spoke, her attention finally came to the encroaching enemies around them. They'd remained quiet up till now, but as the grass around them quietly stirred, Kraven was immediately on point. Several pokemon had begun to approach them, not looking terribly happy...and all ready to fight. Kraven grinned, before she turned back to Ace himself. "Seems you'll have to see them in action first, though."
Suddenly, the grass parted to reveal their first opponent; a blue fighting-type who almost appeared to be wearing a dojo uniform, ready to run in and attack. The ball in Kraven's hand burst open, freeing the Honedge within. "Alright Gaine, this shouldn't be too hard. Iron Head!" She commanded, throwing her arm out. As the gilded blade began his attack however, the Sawk was already on top of him, planting his feet firmly onto his body... and then through as the fighting move did nothing. Surprised, the fighter had no time to dodge as the pommel of Gaine smashed into his chin, before doing the same as the wild pokemon's counter attack failed. All it took were two hits, and the fighter was already down on the ground.
