Sebastian wasn’t certain if he had any kind of pokemon that fit that description. Though the whole surfing thing sounded familiar. Excusing himself, he pulled out his pokedex and his TM case, checking over what he had available. He had received the HM for Surf at some point –he was fairly certain it was recently, Morty had disturbed him a bit too much for him to immediately realize it- which meant he just needed a pokemon who could learn it.
Which he didn’t have. It was actually rather impressive, that he lacked a pokemon who could learn the move. Actually, thinking about it, he had absolutely no water pokemon to speak of. How had he made it this far without such a crucial elemental typing? That was… amazing. It might’ve made sense if he was a type specialist but… he wasn’t. Wow.
"I… don’t have any pokemon who can do that…," He replied sheepishly, looking back at the fisherman who seemed rather stunned at this revelation. The man looked between Sebastian and then the two pokemon beside him, seeming to determine for himself that Sebastian was indeed not a type-specialist. ”Well now that’s a first…,” The man murmured, rubbing under his chin. He seemed to be contemplating something before finally snapping to attention with a snap of his fingers.
”Well maybe I can help you.” He replied, immediately pulling the hefty pack off his back, rummaging around a moment. Sebastian watched a moment as the fellow produced what looked to be a rather old looking fishing rod. ”Here you go. You can fish yourself up a pokemon to ride!”

"Huh…," Was Sebastian’s response. You could fish for pokemon? He supposed that made sense; how else did you catch ones that lived in the ocean? Of course, he’d never tried fishing but there was a first time for everything, right?
He took the rod, watching a moment as the man plopped down next to him, producing his own fishing rod. ”A little fishing is good for the soul too.” He smiled. Okay well now it was just getting a little odd, but Sebastian maintained a friendly disposition, shifting away just a bit. Watching as the fellow put the rod together, he figured out how to do the same with his own rod. It was… pretty damn worn looking to be honest. ”That’s old Berty. He was my first fishing rod ever.” The man beamed with pride, before seeming to realize something. ”The name’s Danny by the way.”
"Sebastian. It’s nice to meet you, Danny. Thank you uh… for the help." The trainer replied back, eyeing the rod a moment. Danny nodded, pulling out a tackle box and handing Sebastian some bait. ”Just put that on the hook and toss the line.” He showed the process for his own rod and Sebastian followed suit. It seemed easy enough. ”Then once you’ve done that, you just pull back and chuck your line!” Another quick demonstration and Danny was fishing. He glanced at Sebastian. ”Though you might want to have a pokemon ready to battle, just in case. Sometimes you get some crazy catches.” He eyed Pichu and Gin a moment as he made the remark.

Sebastian considered the warning a moment. He could… have Gin handle anything that came along, but…
It was risky, but he did want to train Deuce. Pulling out the Sylveon’s pokeball, he released him a little ways away on the pier, a glaring contest ensuing for a moment as they silently communicated that murder attempts were not to take place. Deuce didn’t seem to really care, instead focusing on the stranger next to his trainer, nose scrunching up in disgust. The guy smelt like fish. Gross.
Danny just gave the pair a curious look, gaze resting sort of quizzically on Sebastian for a moment. Whatever he was thinking, he didn’t voice it, instead giving an approving nod when he cast his line successfully. Sebastian was rather proud to be learning a new skill; sure he uhm, was still on a bit of a time crunch, but Danny had a point. This was sort of relaxing. He’d been so busy rushing from place to place, just taking a moment to sit down and enjoy the ocean breeze.

It was a peaceful wait, Danny chatting away about his various fishing adventures and how he’d been in Olivine most of his life just fishing. ”Well damn…,” Was the only response that floated through the air after Deuce had all but jettisoned the Magikarp back into the water in a violent pink beam of death. That was certainly not what Sebastian had expected when he taught the Sylveon that move and he was beginning to regret the decision. Now he would have to worry less about being choked and more about being laser beamed to death.
Deuce seemed rather proud of his over use of force though, watching only a moment as the waters shifted where the Magikarp had been fired. Sebastian’s line had found its way back into the water again and something seemed to be bubbling in agitation underneath.

Sebastian was still trying to catch his breath as Deuce used a few decisive shadow ball shots to fire the Tentacool back into the water. Even Danny was surprised and startled, giving a shrill whistle as he readjusted his head at retrieved his own nearly discarded fishing rod. He made a joke about the attack, something that went over Sebastian’s head as he just tried to focus back on fishing. Sebastian was beginning to question if he was doing this whole fishing thing right. Danny kept praising him after all with each new catch that he hauled in, except that a vast majority of the time it was a Magikarp. Magikarp didn't get any brighter the more you caught them. Sebastian had to wonder for a moment if maybe just may. he was catching the same fish over and over again. But was that possible? Another Magikarp caught and violently blasted with a pink beam of death back into the murky waters below. As Sebastian set about casting his line once more, Danny seemed to sigh a thoughtful look crossing his face. Something was apparently on his mind about the whole situation and his eyes remained focused as once more, a catch tugged at the end of Sebastian's rod. "Hold on, hold on." Danny suddenly interrupted, stopping Sebastian from casting his line again after Deuce had disposed of the last Magikarp he'd caught. Sebastian paused and looked at him curious, old rod pointed straight up stopped in mid-swing. Maybe he was doing something wrong? Danny had that sort of look of questioning on his face, hand rubbing under his chin in thought.
"Here, go ahead and try using this one instead." He finally commented, fishing out a different rod and handing it to Sebastian. The trainer eyed it curiously a moment, a frown slightly on his face in thought. What was changing rods going to do for him exactly? Maybe the fish knew it was old and were avoiding it? That was a rather sad, if not hilarious thought.
"Al... right. Sure." He remarked, wheeling in the line and proceeding to fold up the old rod. He offered it back to Danny, but the man just shook his head and waved a dismissive hand. "Nah, you can keep her. I'm sure she'll still get some use with you. But still, try this one." He remarked. Sebastian was a bit surprised, head just nodding as he stored the rod away. Well it was... certainly appreciated? Once that was put away, he took the new rod, eyeing it over. It looked considerably less worn than the first one; maybe he'd have better luck?

After eyeing the new rod for a moment longer, Sebastian finally went about baiting it and wheeling back to cast. Deuce was apparently at the ready to deal with whatever horrific fishing prospect that his trainer might pull in this second time around. It wasn’t as long a wait for a bite to happen, at least Sebastian thought so, before his rod was bucking and bending in response to a catch.
”There you go!” Danny beamed with a clap of his hands. Whatever was on the end of the line seemed a lot heavier in comparison to all those Magikarp from earlier. So hopefully it was something he could teach. With a swift yank, Sebastian pulled whatever he’d caught back up and up onto the pier. It wasn’t that massive actually, but he did catch sight of a shell. A Shellder? Sebastian blinked and stared at the pokemon curiously, it’s tongue lulling out in pure confusion at its new situation.
”There you have it! A pokemon that can help you!” Danny immediately chimed, slamming a hand hard on the trainer’s shoulder and startling him. Deuce however, wasn’t paying attention and immediately set to work obliterating the poor shell pokemon. Sebastian winced at the sight, feeling bad for the poor dazed creature. Well… at least he could catch it now…
He hesitated a moment before finally fishing out a pokeball, chucking it and catching the pokemon the first try. Well, that was good he supposed.

He’d have to go and retrieve the newly caught Shellder from the PC if he wanted to use it. But then again, he wasn’t so sure if it was the perfect solution to his problem though and it showed on his face.

He’d apparently noticed the look Sebastian gave and didn’t quite seem to notice the issue. "I’m grateful for the help and such and getting a pokemon to get me to Cianwood, but well…," He sighed, returning his attention to Danny. "Shellder is just rather small is all. I’m not really sure how I’d surf on in it."
”Ahhh well, that’s not a problem. Just find yourself a water stone and evolve it!” Was Danny’s response. Sebastian blinked and stared a moment. Just… evolve it? Danny nodded, slinging his bag over his shoulder. ”A Cloyster should be more than big enough to carry a fellow such as yourself over the waters to Cianwood. The market might have some stones, you should take a look.” With that, the fisherman gave him a little wave goodbye in response, turning to leave in the opposite direction of Sebastian and his crew. With a thoughtful frown, Sebastian considered the suggestion. Maybe he’d do just that. But first, he needed to take a trip to the Pokemon Center. Sebastian arrived at the pokemon center and none too soon. It was starting to get late unfortunately and it would quickly become necessary for him to halt for the time being. It’d probably be for the best if he took a nap or something. He still needed to check the market for a water stone too so that he could be on his way. The air was thick between the group as they walked. So thick in fact that even a chainsaw might of had trouble cutting through it. Anything could send Avikna off again, she was a ticking time bomb. Mave knew more than anyone there, even Aislin about how paper thin Avikna's temper was. Aislin got off easy because she and Arietty had been there to break the two apart. But reflecting on it, Mave felt it might of been better for the two of them to continue to duke it out. No one wanted to say anything, Mave didn't even want to transmit a thought in Avikna's direction. It was so observably quiet. In Avikna's mind however... it was a live heavy metal concert.
A blessing in disguise reared their buckteeth faces as they ventured along the road. Olivine just barely over the horizon and there two Rattata stood to block the path. Eating a meal they'd stolen from a careless traveler. Avikna would have walked clean through their meal too if it hadn't of been for Mave holding up a wing to block the red-head's path. A face full of feathers wasn't doing her temper any good, but upon seeing the Rats, Avikna took in a deep breath. It wasn't like her to take her frustrations out on Pokemon... and even still when the only thing she needed to do was punch a tree into toothpicks, she'd hold back... the satisfaction of pummeling two weaklings was likely going to help though. Motioning Zelda forward, one of the two rats cried out a challenge, a daring for Zelda to make a move. The dead kelp seahorse only stared back with a look of boredom. A use of Sludge Bomb wasn't quite enough, but Zelda endured the Rattata's Hyper Fang to end it with a second Sludge Bomb. Next up it's companion.

Zelda barely bat an eye, as she tossed two large balls of sludge towards the Rattata, barely flinching at it's pathetic attempts to attack her. Though placed in a small body, the Skrelp had faced much deadlier foes and lived to talk about it. Some rodents weren't doing anything to her any time soon. Avikna watched a satisfied smile on her face, up until the battle had finally ended.... then it was back to serious mode. "Alright, let's mov-." Before she could finish her sentence, Zelda's body began to burst with light Even the Skrelp seemed shocked by this. Moving about the fainted Rattata as she tried to get a good look at herself. Before long, she floated in the air... nearly three times her previous size. "Now that's what I'm talking about!" Avikna shouted, rushing over to Zelda. Finally Zelda had taken the form of a true dragon. Zelda's dead gaze returned as she looked down at Avikna. So that was the odd feeling she'd been having lately.... she was bound to evolve. It felt odd truly, but everything she'd been through in the past year had been worth it... in the end she was more powerful. " Next up, Astrid." Avikna stated, her gaze shifting to the black and red Dragonair, who'd been slithering alongside Arietty, despite herself being able to fly. The dragon had coiled itself around it's own body once they'd stopped, now being the center of attention she looked around some to find all eyes on her. A soft cry fell from the Dragonair; her way of saying she was ready for anything. But how close was Astrid to evolving? How close were any of her Pokemon to evolving? Whatever the case, Avikna was excited... Anger replaced with anticipation? It was all good in everyone's eyes... At least they had less to fear now.

With her and her team back on track, Avikna was unstoppable as she walked through the festive port city of Olivine. She was on a mission to find a ship willing to take her to Cianwood City. Her luck rolled in nearly after half an hour of searching, a small speed boat only stopping in for a day of shopping in Olivine's marketplace. Avikna wasn't to sure how to approach them... it might seem odd for some random person to ask for a ride. She was in luck though, as far as approaching them was, since Arietty apparently gained the attention from a little girl no older then seven on the ship pointed towards the mega Charizard. "Look at that Charizard mommy! It's flame is so big!" Avikna glanced back at Arietty... 'No comment on the colour of the flame?' She wondered. The older woman nodded with a smile. "Yes, it is. She must take good care of her Pokemon." The woman smile, sending a nod and a wink towards Avikna. Avikna felt herself freeze up a bit. Take good care of her Pokemon? Why did she feel she couldn't accept that compliment?
Before long, the little girl had also been helped onto the dock. She rushed across the wooden planks and stopped just a few feet from Arietty. "Can I pet your Charizard miss?" The little one asked. Avikna went to answer, but her words were cut short. "Now, now... We're only here for some shopping we don't have time. And I'm sure this young trainer is busy." Avikna rose a hand some, turning to keep the woman in her eyesight as she passed her. "Actually..." Avikna spoke. "I'm looking for a ship to Cianwood." The woman stopped, glancing back for a moment than looked forward to the male aiding her along the slippery boards. "If you don't mind waiting." The woman began, turning slowly to face Avikna once more. "We'll only be about an hour or so." Honestly Avikna hated waiting, but... when it came to waiting an hour or surfing on Lyvantha's back, which could take 4-5 hours... she could suffer with the hour. "That's fine. I'll just wait here." Avikna stated. "Mommy can I stay too?! I wanna play with the Pokemon!" The little girl pleaded. The woman wanted to tell her no, but the male tugged her arm gently and whispered something to the woman. Looking over to Avikna the woman held a look of concern. "It's alright." It wasn't, but the woman looked rather sickly.. and dealing with a young child didn't look like it was easy for the woman or the man. "Thank you." She replied, bowing gently before being lead away by the male.
Heading more towards a less flammable area of the port, only a few seconds walk from the dock where the boat was, Avikna released a hefty bulk of her Pokemon. Ule'tra didn't seem the type to tolerate children, so she kept him in his ball, along with Zelda, she didn't want to chance the Poison-type getting the little girl sick with the way she clung to everyone. Celcius held firm to Avikna's back, almost as if he was afraid of children. A ghost afraid of children? How funny did that sound?
