Vosin and Gold Killakeeth

Somebody moved and she had to laugh at the gold being very affectionate with a boy. The poor boy did not appear to be enjoying it and very confused to have her attentions. Vos turned her attention to Zen and the lad struggling with the grabby green. "Mmmm you think she'll want more?" It was very hard not to fall to the sand in stitches. Of course with this clutch being on the ground wasn't the place to be. Vos contained herself by holding her ribs a moment then nodded to Zen.

There was still a number of eggs to hatch she realized. There had been what, who handfuls of dragons wandering around so far? She glanced toward the feeding table. Oddly not many had gathered there yet. The hatching was still young yet. Vos was pleased that her sister agreed the green would win. Now to see how much clothing she desired. The green was definitely getting the upper hand when the boy fell. Vos doubted he'd be able to use those pair of pants again even if the green suddenly decided to let go.

Had the green impressed to the boy she was trying to undress? Did she disapprove of his non-traditional clothes? Vos couldn't tell. His salvation came in the form of the first blue dragon to hatch. A pleasant humming coming from not too far away drew her attention back the gold. The young queen knew how to make the young man uncomfortable. Was she really going to impress to him?

Surprised by the sudden voice, the teen stood alertly a moment looking around. Who had? A feeling of enjoyment washed over her. Vos grinned sheepishly as she realized her dragon had found her without coming to her. How was she going to tell her siblings? Vos glanced at Ves and Esre.

The pale gold whirled her eyes at the tall and handsome Maldryk. She butted her head insistently against him. He would give her what she wanted for she was queen! Killakeeth twisted her neck to look at the odd grouping of boys and girls on the boy's side and crooned enticingly.

Vos turned and hugged her twin then her brother. "It'll be ok," she said to them with a grin. The teen winked to the group. To Zen and Kylerr, she said solemnly, "look after my siblings!" She didn't want to leave, but her dragon needed her! Vos was torn between family and dragon. Assured her friends would look after them, she turned and strolled across the sands to the gold.

She grinned as she approached Maldryk. "I think she likes you."

Jikkiri and Lagoneth

Jikkiri's mind had been elsewhere, even as he decided to follow the girl to her fish stories. It bothered him, the blood, the death and not even he could put it out of his mind.

The snarling hiss was not the first sound he heard, though heard was not the right word. He felt a sensation, like that of a beast moving out of a fog to stand before him, watching, angry at his very thoughts. It snapped at them, trying to drive them away, because they hurt him. They hurt His Jikkiri.

Then the beast snarled, and Jikkiri felt suddenly enveloped in a mind not his own, something fierce, bloody, and angry. Nothing was to hurt Jikkiri, not even thoughts. It was like a flood, and Jikkiri stood, stunned, his heart fluttering between fear and confusion and love, the most intense love he had ever felt in his life. Not that he could have moved anyway: the brown dragon was wrapped around him, snapping at all interlopers.

The girl, the others around him, and his brother.

The connection was made. Jikkiri stared down into those pools of raging rainbows that were his dragons eyes, and he knew that this dragon was the beast. His beast.

“Well of course not.” said Jikkiri, stroking Langoneth's eye ridge lovingly, awedly. Every ridge was his, every powerful, corded muscle... his. “If you are going to snap and growl at them, they won't understand.”

rumbled the brown. Jikkiri felt the warmth of the beast around him and he could smell the blood and ichor that coated his Langoneth. He didn't think that the brown wanted them to understand. Just him. Only him.

“I...” he wiped off some of it with a gentle hand, his own also bloodied, and looked at it. “I think I do.” he said, with wonder, “I do indeed.”

The brown huffed, eyes gleaming red as he surveyed the other candidates and gave them a few warning snaps, just to keep them out of his way. he snapped, and Jikkiri laughed.

“I love you, Langoneth.” he said, laughing. Only just met, and he loved the dragon more than anything he knew. It was funny how it had happened, in a way that Jikkiri liked.

said the brown, uncoiling a little, He glared down at Jamarin. he growled at Jamarin.

Jikkiri looked down, concerned, “Jamarin? Are you all right?”

Jamarin

Jamarin gave the annoying girl a glare, taking the oppurtunity to grab his waistcord and escape the terrible claws of the green. Fine. Mischevious claws.

“Yeah.” he said, turning to Jikkiri, the pressing concern, “I'm fine... are you... are you...?” he approached, his face twisted with annoyance and concern.

Jikkiri and Lagoneth

Langoneth snapped at Jamarin, unable to hurt him but perfectly able to near-miss. He moved to block his Jikkiri from this annoying one that dared to use his name. he snarled to Jikkiri.

“Shhh...” Jikkiri said softly, stroking Langoneth's side, “Shhh. It's all right. He's all right.” he sent soothing images, proof that Jamarin was important, and not all that bad. Langoneth subsided reluctantly, moving aside very slightly and watching Jamarin with his intense eyes.

“Jamarin,” he said, smiling a little wearily, “This is my dragon, Langoneth. Langoneth, this is my brother, Jamarin.”

snapped the dragon. He paced in Jikkiri's mind, mental teeth bared,

“Shh shh...” said Jikkiri, “Yes, you're right. I'm yours.” he whispered.

Jamarin

“Your... dragon.” Jamarin blinked. Jikkiri had impressed?! This was not expected, and he didn't know how to respond. His dimglow of a brother? A dragonrider? What the shaff was going on?

“Wha...?” he said, about to say as much, before something deeper and darker shut his mouth. He shifted his pants as he held them up to preserve his dignity (among other things.) “Congratulations.” he mumbled, turning away, “You'd better go feed 'im, or whatever you do.” He stalked into the crowd of candidates, biting his lip and wondering why he felt like the world had just been ripped out from under him.

Jikkiri and Lagoneth

Jikki had been expecting more out of his brother. Maybe joy, though more likely anger and possibly some shouting. All of which, he could definitely handle – though he wasn't sure if Lagoneth agreed. Probably not. Lagoneth and him had been together for all of a few wonderful, beautiful minutes and Jikkiri felt he already knew him. He felt as thought he had known the dragon his whole life.

He hadn't been expecting Jamarin to go so cold all of a sudden, and it did hurt a little, but – as Lagoneth prepared to charge after his rider's 'brother' and make him pay (or attempt to), Jikkiri pulled him back.

“He's just being silly.” he said, seemingly dismissively, “I'll talk to him later, and things will be fine. You don't need to worry Lagoneth.”

No, Jikkiri could tell, he was angry at Jamarin. He was angry at anything that hurt or could hurt Jikkiri.

“Good. Things will all be fine.” said Jikkiri cheerfully, “He's right, you know. I should feed you.”

Lagoneth admitted, glaring after Jamarin for a moment more before turning to Jikkiri, images of meat playing out in his head.

Jikkiri laughed. “Then lets do that then!” he said, leading his big, beautiful dragon towards the feeding station. “You must be hungry after your explosive start.”

Lagoneth followed – His had a point, after all.

Kylerr grinned at the marshaling Blue. Thank goodness the poor Candidate would get to keep his pants! Or at least what was left of them...

This movement brought his attention back toward the crowd of Candidates, and the Gold so actively rubbing against the male. Or was it one? As he looked closer, he caught the flash of rainbow in the Gold's eyes. Kylerr couldn't say he was too surprised he was mistaken - he was often mistaken himself, but in the reverse direction.

But then Vos shifted. And charged him to look after her siblings? Kylerr's jaw dropped as he saw where she was headed. "Yes, milady!" He called out. He turned to look to Zen, excitedly grinning with extra purpose. The new goldrider just made a request of them, after all!

He turned to the siblings. "Ves, Esre, keep close, okay?" He surveyed the Sands once more to make sure nothing else had changed.

It felt goooooooood.

Malta and Poecileth

Oh Thank Faranth thought Poecileth, as in a flurry, all the horribly violent hatchlings impressed.

she said, cautiously, to Lagoneth, Somewhat more relaxedly to Karath and Baeveth, curiously to Wodeth, and neutrally to the gold Killakeeth.

Malta hoped so, as she watched the brown leave the sands... she hoped so. In the meantime, she turned back to her patient...

Vesresh

Vesresh couldn't look away from the golden sheen of the dragon. She was very pretty; he wanted to touch her, just to see if she was as soft and nice as she looked. But you weren't supposed to pet the dragons... right? Except, she was pretty much rubbing herself on everybody, so...

So...

He stared at Vosin as she left with the queen, feeling envy, sadness and a little fear, despite it meaning that he probably could pet the gold if he wanted to.

He pressed close to Vesin, unsure of what to think about this. “Congratulations!” he called after her belatedly, but he honestly wanted her next to him, right there with Vesin. He looked up at Kylerr, uncertain about the stranger (but if Vos was trusting him). And then, squeezing Vesin's hand, he looked back out at the eggs warily...

Kalendol approaches Jamarin slowly, cocking her head carefully at the younger candidate. "Jamarin?" The teen was hesitant as she approached, removing her cloak and passing it to the half pant less boy. Her hazel eyes looked him over and then she sighed and looked at the unhatched eggs. 'Theyll hatch soon. Maybe...'

Mazaah (Concept Entry)

Now that gold was something to be cheerful about – other things nonwithstanding. Things seemed to have calmed down.

Of course, that gold impressing one of those twin girls meant that she wouldn't impress to her... wouldn't that have been a hoot? Maz was sure it wasn't greed that drove her: who wouldn't want a gold dragon at their side?

But that was off the plate, and Maz was fine with that. Interesting as it might have been, it was also sort of a relief. As if she wanted a big shiny dragon... no, she'd be fine with any dragon. Or no dragon. Or a craft. Or... something. There was somewhere where the lanky candidate would be at home and be happy, and she'd find it one day.

Anyway, there were a lot of eggs as yet unhatched. She wondered what would happen next...

Zen's eyes nearly bugged as the gold turned her rainbow gaze upon Maldryk...then back at their group. "Shards and shells?!" Had that gold just impressed to a boy? They didn't do that right? Or was Maldryk not all he appeared to be? It seemed impossible. Well, maybe not impossible but with the image he struck, highly unlikely in her mind.

She turned a sharp look on Vosin, confusion triggering a rapidly suspicious response in the young woman as her new friend suddenly abandoned them, leaving her twin and little brother in their charge as she sauntered her way over to the young man and his(hers?) gold dragon. What in the name of little green dragons did that girl think she was up to? Was she going to correct the dragon's mistake? Oh that would be rich to see, though Zen wished it wasn't a girl she liked about to get her arse chewed out by the newest queenrider.

Kylerr's ecstatic green confused her even further and as she made to glare at him it dawned on her. Vosin had impressed the gold. Zennaren laughed. She laughed hard and grinned right back. "Way to go girl!" She shouted through cupped hands.

Jamarin

Jamarin was trying to lose himself in the crowd for reasons he didn't understand. At his name, he turned, a snappish comment at the ready. It soon died, already halfhearted, on his lips. Moodily, he took the cloak and covered himself with it. He looked ridiculous, but it was better than having his loincloth hanging out for all to see.

“Thanks.” he grumbled, grateful. He looked back at the unhatched eggs, deliberately not looking at the feeding tables.

A thought occurred to him and he looked over at Kalendol. “What're ya doing over here, Kalendol?” he asked with contained curiousity.
PostPosted: Sat Nov 01, 2014 10:31 pm

"Escaping." Kalendol chuckled in response to the boy. Her hazel eyes went towards him curiously. "That lil green sure is something, eh?" The girl said gently.

Jamarin

Jamarin's eyes narrowed in distaste. “Yeh.” he muttered, “Something.” That was one word. He glared over the sands again, trying to let silence – relatively – be his solace.

It wasn't working.

He turned to Kalendol again. “What do you think of this?” he asked, pointing to the eggs on the sands, still, “Did you see...” he trailed off, swallowing. It hurt to say it, just a little but enough. “Did you see my... Did you see Jikki?”

Kalendol looked to the sands and bit her lip as Jamarin spoke to her. Biting her lip once more. "I saw." She whispered softly. She one he was happy for his brother, maybe a little jealous.

The Guiding Blue, satisfied that the Invasive Green had been turned from her target, slowed his pace and the pleasant blue from before returned to his eyes. He didn't move to return to his mother's side though. His mind had apparently, after long last, been made up and he crossed the last few feet of sand to the candidates, following Jamarin through the press until he was stopped by Kalendol.

The Guiding blue lifted his head to the pair and waited for a break in their conversation before thrumming with pleasure. His eyes broke into rainbows.

User Image
Your brother cares about you, even with Langoneth at his side. Your Atibonth can see that and more. ~

The Invasive Green turned in the opposite direction, taking a few paces towards the girls... then turning right back around again. No! She had something to say about all this and she must say it NOW! The Invasive green circled around the backside of a cluster of boys and pushed her way through them and straight back to Jamarin, Kalendol and Atibonth. With a huff towards her clutch brother she looked between the two before settling a pair of startling bright rainbow eyes on Kalendol.

User Image
Kalendol, did you know that that boy over there is really a girl? Your Kynigoth sees things others do not!
PostPosted: Sat Nov 01, 2014 11:03 pm

When the blue came to Jamarin with those rainbow eyes, Kalendol beamed at him and nodded. "See, he wasn't the only one. I knew you'd be next." She grinned at her friend and then felt something drawing near. Her eyes widened as the little invasive green came to her. "Oh... This means..." A blush filled her face and the girls eyes brimmed with tears. "Kynigoth." She whispered. But then her dragonet said something bizarre and Kalendol flashed Jamarin a quick look. 'I see.' The girl thought with a small smile.

The little dragonet seemed to hum in delight at having told someone at last and then nodded, The pale green dragonet seemed to be positively thrilled with this undoubtable knowledge. Her eyes briefly followed her rider's to Jamarin and she hummed louder.

"They must be hungry." Kalendol mused to Jamarin, "Shall we go show Jikkiri Ours?" She grinned and looked down at Kynigoth for confirmation.

The dragonet seemed to hum even louder as Kalendol spoke of getting food.

((Jeez I missed so much!))

Jameson had watched the whole thing, staring at the two fighting greens with mild curiosity in who would win and some worry about their injuries but not that much interest. He was looking for his egg, wondering which would be it.

Then the greens started to head towards the line of candidates, he stilled his slight twitching. His hand had been shaking and twitching in anticipation since the hatching began. He tensed until he heard the voice. Or was it really a voice? It was a deep, obviously female one, but he didn't hear it in his ears, only in his head.

The grey-green dragon came up to him and he looked down at her, even I nor covers...she was...beautiful

He stepped forward at her words and couldn't help laughing. 'You're right darling... Let's get you cleaned up and fed." He said outlook, leading her away to where her injuries would be tended and he could fed her. Even if he didn't impress a boy at all, but he did impress! And he loved his girl already.
