Dameon frowned as he turned to see the young girl. It irked him that this child had grown to see the terror of war. Why he didn't know. He did not share the same sentiments towards his actual son, Eon. Then again he had not been able to watch as his own son grew but he had watched over the young girl a fair amount of time, no matter if it was protested.
"What has you all dark and gloomy child?" he asked evenly, his previous cocky demeanor gone.
"Has something happened to your dear Bela?" He hadn't known the woman well but he had enjoyed her company as sparse as it was.
Dameon nodded towards Lucian and turned to Penny. "We will set out when you are ready. Though I warn you, I will not hold you hand through this and I expect you to hold your own as I know you can." He went to stand at the doors leading out of the throne room before he turned to face Lucian once more. "It would seem we have more in common that I once thought, your majesty. But I guess I was graced when you were not. Also I feel the need to thank you for sparing my son. As pitiful as he is he is still my flesh and blood." Dameon then left through doors and lead to wait at the cavern entrance.
When Dameon had left the throne room Lucian looked towards Penelope. He was not a monster. He was a mad man bent on burning the world for what it had taken from him, and he was unaware of his true nature, but he would not condemn a child. "Penelope, do not take unnecessary risks. Do not force yourself into a fight you can avoid. Wait, be patient, and land the killing blow, not the obvious one." That was the only advice he could give her. If she would not stay in the peaceful land, he would try to keep her safe in the war torn one. With that said Lucian receded back into a hazy eyes state in his mind. He seemed to be made of stone as he stared froward towards the throne room's entrance. He was truly a man with nothing left to lose.
Penny nodded at the order. She didn't really feel like talking much anymore. The blonde simply turned on her heels and whistled with a snap of her fingers following. Her dragon Vasuki responded to this by carefully moving out of her way and turning to leave. Inside she was hurt by everything she had seen. It all felt so very wrong. The wars and the death brought on by it all just seemed so opposite. Penelope couldn't explain it but the sheer amount of death was smothering her. She felt so very connected to everything around her but its death just seemed abnormal. No, Penelope had a gut wrenching feeling that could only be describe the sheer terror of the world's state in one word: Abominable. " The world is sick and I can't revive it Uncle Daemon. I feel like all of this chaos will kill me and I don't know why. I wish I could undo it all, like I had for that fox, but I cannot." Her words slipped out. She didn't really think about what she had said before it came out. The words just slipped.
The young girl went to leave but stopped when Lucian spoke up. He offered words of advice that she would heed. Penelope had some skill but war was not something she had experienced before. Her teal orbs glanced back at the male quietly for a moment before fixing on the doors that lead to the unknown future. " I will remember that," she spoke quietly and removed the necklace that Ixio had given to her. " Keep this safe for me. I don't want to risk losing it during the fight. " The Pennugget took a moment to walk back over to the ruler of Valaria. She allowed herself one moment to glance at the locket before clutching it tightly in her fist. It was enough to remind her of those who had died and the ones that just left. Penny set the necklace into Lucians hand and stepped back. " See you later. "
Her comment was quiet and faded into the air with ease. Penelope stopped wasting time after that moment and headed for the doors.

Cheshire had come to a mountain city as he traveled the land in search of "Talent". He floated into the city and was amazed at its beauty. He made his way to the castle that was hidden within the mountain itself and happened across an interesting fellow. Floating a respectable distance away in the raftors of this grand throne room he addressed the man who was not all the way there, as if he was lost in thought. Ciao! you seem troubled my friend? perhaps I can be an ear for you to vent to or perhaps another form of stress relief would suffice for you, either way when your not paying attention people could get the jump on you. He continued to float around changing location and throwing his voice in all direction as to not give away his position. Where are my manners? MY name is Cheshire Auditore, Warrior Contractor at your service.

Lucian remained his his hazy state as the foreign voice spoke to him. He remained unmoving and uncaring even after Cheshire had gone silent. then after quiet deliberation Lucian spoke "not even in a state of fogged mind and careless hands could someone get 'the jump' on me. None could strike from behind because the swords that create my throne would pierce them before they could reach me and moving around the blades slows them enough for me to strike and let's face it, no one would try to strike from the front." Lucian paused as he looked up at the ceiling. "That leaves only the ceiling and well, it is predictable. " Lucian was playing a game with his words, but would Cheshire notice?

Cheshire had a wide grin on his face hearing the mans response. "This one is interesting, I like him." He knew the man had noticed his location and was baiting him with his words. Cheshire decided to oblige. Floating down from the beams in the ceiling on his giant ringblade he waved at the man. Sure that was never to be my intention, being predictable that is. I try to be upfront about my business ventures my friend. I heard that this land was ruled by a god-like king and had to see for myself. Cheshire gave the man a look over, his eyes glowing like moonlight. He could see this man was broken just like he was. Shaking his head he bowed and slowly floated to the door. I thought you'd be interesting but alas looking at you is like looking in a mirror. I too have lost all that was dear to me, and I destroyed the very cult that raised me because of it. His head had turned slightly, his eyes glowing, as he spoke to the man. I can tell you and I have had similar experiences but my path is different than yours. Instead of showing mercy I would have killed all who had opposed me. I wouldn't have let potential threats escape death. How do expect to create a world of peace without destroying those who would challenge it. Your intentions are noble, but this noble crusade will be your undoing that I can assure you.

"God-like? I should be flattered right? Unfortunately I am not." As Lucian spoke he made a mental note to have eleven put down the rumors of Lucian being a god-king. While Lucian was not a religious man these days he had once been and he knew any god would not be happy to have such a man proclaiming himself one of them. As Cheshire spoke Lucian listened to the criticism. honestly if eleven wasn't managing him, Lucian would have killed many more than he had so far, however Eleven taught him the value of patience, which Lucian proceeded to explain to Cheshire. "Have you ever watched a cat hunt a mouse? The cat does not simply leap out and kill its prey. It watches for the perfect moment before striking. Consider me the cat."

Cheshire gave the man a wide grin. Is that so. Then I cant wait to see the prey you seem to be watching. I only came here to measure you worth, but it seems that cant happen just yet. I'll be in touch my friend. His eyes gleamed as he began to fade from view. A word of warning, you may not be willing to kill in order to bring peace I don't think your enemy will have that same view. Let go of the past and enjoy the days that are granted to you. Until we meet again, though I do believe they will be under more interesting circumstances. With those words he bowed and completely vanished as has done before{EXITS}

How long had it been? Minutes? Hours? Days? Lucian didn't know anymore. His haze of regret had blinded him to any sense of time. He had simply sat on his throne lost in thought over what he had shown his son. Lost in the memories he had been forced to relive. It was then that he saw his son again. Nine stood at the entrance to Lucian throne room armed with two swords. "So this is it?" Lucian asked as he stood slowly and stepped down from his iron throne. "Yes it is." Nine replied as he tossed one of the two swords across the room to Lucian who plucked it out of the air with his right hand. "It didn't have to be this way. You should have stood by my side. You should have fought with me to save the world." Lucian twirled the blade in his hand for a moment before stepping towards his son. "I didn't know. I couldn't have known. You should have told me the truth from the start. We could have stopped this madness before now." Nine responded as he took a defensive position. Lucian wasn't blocking his powers, why? "It doesn't matter now. You've made your choice." With that the two men stood in silence for a few moments and then charged at each other. The first clash cracked the floor beneath the two ancient men as the sound of metal hitting metal broke through the air. Then Lucian swung again in an arc which Nine blocked followed by Nine thrusting his sword forward to stab Lucian. The King parried the strike but Nine spun with his blade and when he had completely come around he swung his sword in a horizontal arc at his father. Lucian blocked it and then sent a concentrated ball of energy into his son's stomach. Nine created a barrier around his body to absorb the blunt of the attack but he was still thrown backwards into the wall. Before hitting the wall Nine vanished and reappeared, on his feet, behind his father who was more that prepared. Nine slashed downwards through his father who had turned into a black fog and then reformed once his son's blade had passed through. Lucian kicked Nine's hand causing Nine to recoil backward slightly before he pressed forward again slashing wildly at his father. Lucian parried most strikes and blocked others before Nine left a slight opening for Lucian to capitalize on. As Nine brought his sword downwards Lucian's hand turned to metal and grabbed the blade. Nine tugged for his sword but couldn't free it from Lucian's grip. Lucian drove his blade forward toward Nine's stomach but his son placed his own hand in front of the blade causing it to stop. Lucian pushed forward with as much force as he could but Nine had a strong mind. Lucian's brute strength would not overpower Nine's telekinesis. The blade began to bend before Lucian improvised. He began channeling extreme amounts of kinetic energy into Nine's sword causing the blade to vibrate painfully until Nine was forced to drop it and when he did Lucian turned the blade and drove it into his son's abdomen. Nine recoiled backward onto the ground and ripped the blade out of his side as Lucian tossed his own sword aside.
Nine stood slowly, healing his right side where his father had stabbed him, and shot a beam of light at Lucian who smacked it aside. Lucian then shot a bolt of lightning at his son who attempted to deflect it but was still send stumbling backwards from the force. Lucian pressed forward sending bolt after bolt of lightning at his son who countered by smacking them aside or shielding himself until finally Nine sent lightning of his own back at his father. Lucian hadn't expected his son to return an attack and so when the bolt of lightning struck his shoulder, Lucian was unprotected. The bolt burned through Lucian's light armor and skin sending the mad king flying backwards into the wall. Nine did not let up. now he sent bolt after bolt at his father who was undefended. However with each blast Nine sent he began to feel Lucian's strength rising. It was then that Nine remembered what Lucian had done to Gyokuen when he was first resurrected. Lucian had absorbed the blast Gyokuen sent, and now he had absorbed Nine's. The King stood slowly and thrust both hands forward emitting a massive roar of blackened lightning at his son. Nine once more set a barrier but the lightning tore through it like a dagger tearing through wet paper. Nine was hit with the full force of the lightning and was sent hurdling across the ground. Any armor he had was now dented and burned. His clothes were in tatters and he had several dozen burns along his arms and chest. Yet Nine stood again and turned to his father.
"Stay down my son, please stay down." Lucian pleaded as the two swords from across the room flew into Nine's hands. Lucian looked into his own palm and summoned the dagger. The blade itself had a blurry outline but the metal was what truly inspired awe. It looked like the night sky, dark but full of stars. The blade emanated with power. Lucian looked up at his son who had adopted a passive stance.

Notable, on Nine's great stand against his father, Sword appears beside Nine showing a serious expression while he rose up. His solid white eyes looking at his rival to notice the damage unto him and Lucian. This doesn't look easy. Nine is seriously injured and when the eyes moved to the powerful opponent Lucian has less harm and holds a dagger of nightly features that was very similar to the Doma vs Zaibatsu War. The dagger which killed anything. Yes, this will not be easy, at all. The blade Sword wields on his right hand directed itself at Lucian's solar plexus, the left has nothing but a curled metal fist. Only silence for this swordsman, all the words spoken by body language.
Lucian stood his ground when Sword appeared beside Nine, who also remained unmoved by Sword's appearance. Nine looked over at Sword slightly before returning his focus to Lucian. That was when Nine felt the gravity shifting and pulling against his powers, and then they were gone. Lucian had done what he should have done from the start, now no one would have any supernatural gifts. Lucian had limited this battle to a test of still and style, and Lucian was superior in both aspects or at least he believed he was. That was when Nine felt another shift. Certain of Lucian's powers had been unaffected by Lucian shutting down the powers within his castle. Naturally Lucian wouldn't have weakened himself. Nine and Lucian exchanged one more glance and then Nine charged forward unaware of whether or not Sword would follow. He swung the blade in his right hand downwards at Lucian who sidestepped and kicked the weapon from Nine's hand and across the room. Lucian then slid under Nine's following swing with the sword in his left hand. Lucian crossed the room in a blur and picked up Nine's spare sword. His son switched his blade from the left to his right hand and motioned towards his father. Lucian charged forward again first smacking aside Nine's blade before lunging at him with the spectral dagger. Nine slid backwards to avoid the stab but Lucian had been expecting his son to dodge and swept the lad's feet out from under him before driving his sword downwards through Nine's abdomen, effectively pinning his son to the ground. If Nine's rival was going to strike, now would have been the time.

Sword noticed the gravity shifting twice, taking the powers he obtained. No matter, he went forward anyway trying to empty the growing emotion of fear wasting seconds of valuable time. He watched Nine attack as he gotten pinned which is when Sword boldly strikes. Dashing at Lucian in rapid speed, Sword jumped between the son and father. His sword slashed horizontally on Lucian's arm which held the sword pinning Nine, at the same time Sword's left hand palm brought itself up to strike Lucian in the center of the ribcage to potentially send him flying back. Though Sword didn't have his abilities, strength still flourished. If the palm connected, he quickly checked Nine and held his ground.
Lucian was not so blind as to forget Sword's presence and so when Nine's rival struck out Lucian was prepared. He released the blade pinning Nine to the ground and pulled his hand out of the path of Sword's sword before counting Sword's left hand jab toward Lucian's ribcage. The elder of the numbered men in the throne room smacked Sword's hand aside before returning with his own jab aimed at Sword's throat. However this was not the only move Lucian made because he also thrust the spectral dagger toward Sword's abdomen. It wouldn't kill him if it his his abdomen. It was when the dagger pierced a man's heart that it stole his life.
While Lucian had been countering Nine had pulled out the sword his father impaled him with. The bleeding hurt and without his abilities Nine wouldn't be able to heal, if he died he wouldn't be able to regenerate either. At least not until Lucian ceased blocking their powers. Nine slid backwards slightly leaving a trail of blood behind him as he did. The world around him felt colder now. He couldn't tell if it was just him or is it was the temperature in the room shifting rapidly. Nine looked to Sword, the man who he had tried to kill before. the man who had tried to kill him many times. Sword had never been a friend yet when the end came it was only Sword standing by his side. Nine had prevented his family from coming, and he would pay dearly for that.

Lucky. As Lucian countered the left hand, Sword ducked backwards just in time, when he strikes leaving an opening but the thrust of the spectral dagger pierced into Sword's abdomen, he laughed without a second's thought and returned the blow by pulling himself forward and punching Lucian directly in the nostril and continuing on slashing, countering, and more. The only reason a laugh escaped his lips was simple. The dagger didn't puncture, chain-mail underneath the armor is thick enough to save him. "Come on Nine!" As he said in a clash. "You've been through worse!" Remembering the time Sword was trapped by Nine's power of time, ceasing Sword's body until he took advantage, sending a shock-wave to him. Though Sword didn't expect the fatality of the wound only thought Nine could walk over it.
Lucian tore the dagger from Sword's armor and bounded backwards after he was hit. Interesting. The man had dense and strong armor. The dagger wouldn't go far enough to wound the man, but a sword would. Lucian seemed entirely unfazed by Swords strike as he shuffled slightly toward the right to pick up one of the two swords laying around the throne room. Nine had the other. Lucian calculated the exact number of seconds he would need and the speed he would need then he bounded forwards towards Sword. Lucian waited until he was inches before his foe and when he was, the Mad King exploded into a cloud of smoke. That was Lucian's eternal advantage. He maintained his powers while his enemies were deprived of their own. Lucian had the skill to win this battle without his powers but he didn't want to waste time. Nine's biology allowed for him to heal faster than most normal humans, even without supernatural strength. Lucian did not want Nine to enter the fray again. Within the dense cloud of smoke that had surrounded Sword, several piercing strikes and deadly arcs lashed out at the man. Lucian was the cloud and as long as Sword remained in the smoke, he would be in danger. However Lucian had also limited the kinetic energy flowing through Sword so any movement would feel like he was trying to walk through wet concrete.
Nine had not managed to stand yet.In the times he had fought Sword before, Nine had his powers. He had always recovered quickly and returned to the fight. Nine didn't have his powers now and Lucian had punctured one of Nine's lungs. The numbered one was struggling to breath, but he was rising back onto his feet.
