Rolling for: 8/20/14 - Amalia Number rolled: 43 Current sturdiness total: 2965 Amalia watched Rennati fall forwards, and almost lunged to get her before realizing she was just going to collide with Hwan and everything would be fine. Shrugging it off, she turned back to the twin. "So. When are we going to get the cake?" She turned her attention back to Rennati. "And you're coming?" Finally, she turned and yelled back at Yesenia. "Oh, and Yes! You don't have to come along, but you are buying me cake. That's the deal."

"You too? Cool, we'll see you there!" Jeong-jae exclaimed, surprised by her choice but not shocked. Shakuntala didn't have the personality to try for the Police and while she might be suitable for the Garrison maybe she was afraid of heights. Fumbling with the wire, he began to wrap it around more of the wooden planks as he spoke on.
"Do you want to see what's out there? Or do you have a different reason?" Dark brown eyes glanced down at his hands, quietly curious and internally concerned. He wanted to see what waited beyond the walls but mostly was focused on joining to keep his brother alive as they adventured. The search for supplies or other information about the titans was important too but not a high priority for him at this time. Maybe later once they determined how hard it was to survive out there (or easy hopefully) he'd begin to think about it.
"Oh hey! We're almost done!" He'd lost track of time it appeared and soon the pair were wrapping around the perimeter, aiming to meet up with the others.

Rolling for: 8/20. Number rolled: 16. Current sturdiness total: 3000.
Shakuntala wasn't sure how she felt about this. While her mind was finalized on her decision, having others looking forward to one of the most dangerous branches in the military brought about worry. What if something happens? she wanted to ask him, but kept her mouth shut. Just as he had not judged her decision, she would do the same.
She shook her head at the former part of his question. Well, she was mildly curious about what existed beyond the walls ever since reading that interesting piece of literature at her sister's house, but there were some limitations. Shakuntala was taking her interests one step at a time and, currently, the only item that kept her curiosity piqued were horses. "I'm, um I-I want to be a... v-veterinary officer..." she admitted to him. "For the h-horses..."
Stabbing another fence post into the path marked out by Tuggle, Shakuntala rose her eyes when she realized Jeong-jae was right. Guess it was time to hustle, huh? The quicker they got everything done, the quicker they could rest.

Rolling for: 8/20 Number rolled: 20 Current sturdiness total: 3020 Larisa had gotten so caught up in her work that she'd sort of tuned out of conversations. It was nice to settle into the routine of things sometimes, think on things a while, but as she snapped back to awareness suddenly, it occurred to her that it might have been a bit rude. Had anyone been talking to her? She glanced around at them to try and determine, and let out a relieved sigh as it seemed that no one was paying her any mind. Unless they had already given up? Worry building right back up again, she wondered if there was any way to tell.
For now, she guessed she'd just have to keep at work and listen in on what was going on. It looked like the fence was actually already nearly done, so that was good! As for conversation, she listened a moment, smiling at the mention of cake and then pausing, startled as she realized what many of the others were discussing. One of her hands slipped off the wiring as she turned to look at Jeong and Tala and she hissed at the sudden p***k of pain, lifting it to see how bad the splinter was. She was able to get it out quickly enough, and popped her finger into her mouth for a second to ease the annoying pain a little.
Once it was out, she spoke up, hesitantly. "Sorry, I didn't mean to, um, eavesdrop, but...You're all going to join the scouting legion?" She'd tried for curious, but the concern came through all too clearly instead. Before she'd left home, her family had practically made her swear she wouldn't join that branch. It was a death sentence, they'd said, going outside the Walls.

Rolling for: 8/20 Number rolled: 61 Current sturdiness total: 3081 ..... :I /poker face and stares in the distance ....leon didn't know you could change dice rolls forgive Alec!TheKlutz
Alec hadn't exactly meant to ignore his fellow trainees, he'd simply been busy with his coming and goings and making use of whatever he could to get this project moving towards its final stage. From the looks of things it was nearly complete, he was impressed how far along they were, it was incredible how much love and effort had gone into it thus far.
With a sense of determination he gathered a few supplies intend on adding to the project. However, for his efforts and determination..perhaps because he'd been eager...and much to his horror he'd really screwed up when he tightened down a portion of the fence..a horrible crack and snap echoed across the garden. Alec cringed recoiling away, as he did so he managed to trip over several bits of material before landing on his rear staring in wonder at chaos he'd wrought. Truthfully, Alec had never built a fence before...who knew applying to much pressure would make the whole thing snap.
Woopse.

The fence collapsed into pieces. All of the hard work that the trainees had done was immediately destroyed. It really was a pathetic sight, the fence completely obliterated to mere splinters. Once the dust settled, the true carnage became immediately clear. If Alec had been waiting to hear harsh words, none came. Instead, the boy got a brawny arm wrapped around his shoulder, and Terry Tuggle drew him in for a very brief hug. "Lets call it a day, trainees! You all head back to the barracks, I hear we're having delicious meat slop for dinner, doesn't that sound fantastic? I think it does. Go on, now. Shoo, shoo." Terry Tuggle would brook no arguement from anyone. It was obvious the mustachioed man meant business. However, before Alec was permitted to leave, the boy was given a hand-knitted, violently pink hat with desu little cat ears, lop-sided button eyes, and a bulbous bead nose that glittered neon green in the dimming light of day. "Here. Don't ever forget that there's a strength in all of us that we might not be aware of. Someday, you'll need to call on that strength, trainee. Remember today, and remember this fence." Quote: The Peace Garden is currently closed, and all trainees have been ordered OUT!

Alec had half expected something harsh, or at least a reprimand..not a cat hat (that he not so secretly adored) ..even if it earned the large man a strange look. "I...don't think I'll forget this fence episode any time soon or that yeah no.." He gazed at the majority of his fellow trainees as they passed by. Really he hadn't meant to cause a fuss but what was done was done. At least dinner would be soon. That meant he had to face his fellow trianees. Gulping slightly Alec offered the man who'd briefly received a quick albeit awkward side hug back. "Thank you sir.." he muttered quietly studying the outline of the hat and keeping his gaze off him. Once they were done speaking he moved a distance away excusing himself with a polite nod of his head and headed for the mess hall at the prospect of food. pinchmonster He'll likely wear it to bed sometimes :I or when its cold ok NaomiNamoi Suddenly you come upon a chest... you begin to open it and aquire one voucher for dye ampule.

As the sun glittered through the trees in the light of early, early morning, the bells rang. Classes, classes, training, and more classes. It wasn't until after lunch the next day that the trainees would be able to make their way to the Peace Garden. The first thing that they would notice was that the fence... The fence was completely finished. It was in pristine condition. Each plank was perfectly aligned. Each twist of twine was immaculate. Even the nails were hammered in as straight as could be. There was even a fully functional gate that latched easily from the outside. A string was threaded through to the inside, which, when pulled, would open the latch on the outside. All of the wood was raw and unpainted. It was, in essence, the perfect Peace Garden fence. The second thing that the trainees would notice as they trickled in one by one or in pairs and small groups, was Terry Tuggle kicked back in a ratty looking hammock. He looked exhausted, but completely inspired and utterly happy. In his big hands he held a pair of knitting needles, which deftly click-click-click'd as he knit what looked suspiciously like socks. Covered in. You guessed it. Cats. "Good morning, good morning!! You'll have to excuse me, trainees. I'm very, very tired. I was up all night building the fence. I was inspired by your goodwill, camaraderie, friendship and teamwork!!! It's finished now, so we can get to work again! We have so much to do. Painting the fence, tilling the land, planting the seeds!!" Terry Tuggle set his little knitting project down and rose to his feet. "First, we'll paint the fence. We don't want the wood to rot and fall away - and after that, we can focus on the earth itself." Terry Tuggle gestured at a whole stack of paint cans, all in different colors. There were also a handful of brushes, more than enough for everyone to use! "Lets get started!" Quote: Welcome to the Peace Garden, Stage Three: Painting the Fence! The wood has been gathered, and the fence has been built! Now we need to paint the fence in order to prevent it from rotting away!! Every day, you can roll 1d4. If you are posting multiple characters in one post, you can roll 1d4 for each character in the same post, or you can use different posts, it's completely up to you. Just make sure you account for their addition to the fence separately - by that, I mean post a form for each character you roll for! Once the total hits 100, the fence is finished!! Post this with your roll: Painting the fence! Date rolling for: Date here! I painted: Your roll goes here! Percentage of fence painted: New updated total with your roll added to it goes here! Please be aware: •If anything vulgur is painted on the fence, the trainee who is caught (and you will be caught) will no longer be allowed to participate in the Peace Garden, at least until Terry Tuggle decides you have earned that right back. •Any trainee caught (and... let me repeat, you will be caught) will then be given latrine duty on a very, very permanent basis. •Any trainee caught (you gonna get caught) will also be taken on as Terry Tuggle's pet project, and they will be seeing a lot more of him whether they want to or not.
Everyone who participates at least once will be entered into a raffle for a dye ticket!

Shun wasn't sure what to make of the suddenly finished fence, when it was in shambles just the day before. He eyed Terry for a moment with a bit of suspicion. Perhaps he had underestimated the man. Shaking his head to himself, he sighed and went on to grab a paint brush. With a sort of grunt, he started to get to work.
He had no socks. Also no necklace from Terry. Not today.
The young man just did a little bit of quick painting, in an attempt to retreat before Terry could try and bestow him with more "gifts".
