He eventually half crawled half scrambled his way out of the room with the blue pool, scampering across the floor like a frightened dog before he found himself in a new room, this one with purple water, a color he hadn't encountered before.
Creeping along up to the edge, he peered down into it's depths, before his trembling hand dipped into the water, pulled out, and brought it to his lips for that final sip that he needed to get the ******** out of here.
And then all hell broke loose inside his mind. The walls were melting. Gruesome faces leered at him from behind them, dripping black ooze from their teeth. They were the faces of those he had thought to destroy, but instead of being dead, they had warped, and now, they were coming after him.
"NO! NO! STAY BACK!" He shrieked, scrambling to his feet, his chest gripped with fear, his heart beating so rapidly it seemed likely that it would just burst and he would collapse dead, there on the spot.
"YOU STAY THE ******** AWAY!" He was tripping, stumbling back, before turning and running, out of the room, towards the pillar in the center with the door that had been locked to him before.
"I killed you." He moaned, his body slamming against the door, his hand trembling, slipping around as it tried to find the handle to the door, groping it, his jaw clenched tight as he fought to keep tears from spilling down his cheeks, though another choked sob did manage to escape.
"I killed you. Don't make me do it again, because I will!" He pushed the door open, and stumbled through, and out.

So, horsemen. Not just Famine horsemen either, but all of them. War beasts. Death mongerors. Conquest arrogance. The queen bee herself. Death himself, though he was no horseman. Stormy didn't know if she was vibrating from nerves or excitement.
Maybe this was what it felt like to be a real hunter. She eyed the tower and entered without a word.

The more she wandered, the more she realized there didn't seem to be an exit door. Just corridors and . . . huh. A pool? She cocked her head.
< < Careful. > >
Stormy wasn't worried though; most poisons didn't affect her as much thanks to Thane's influence. Gingerly she dropped her hand into the water and cupped some out, sipping. It had been a long day out in the wasteland anyway, and her mind wasn't rationally considering other consequences.
Like feeling the pool had gotten just a little larger. Her wide eyes regarded the reflection looking back at her--no longer bald but with her old long, auburn hair, no longer scarred but smooth skinned. She stared for a long while, shocked and unconsciously drinking in her former glory, the red highlights, the bubbly look in her eyes she didn't know she had lost.
Stormy remained entranced for a while in her memories.

At least she had retained herself despite the de-aging, though now that she saw them, she saw how very frightening and terrible and sorrowful it was! Why, she knew she had her moments of melancholy, but not anything so severe . . . The younger Stormy barely fought off tears as she wandered, only finding vague comfort in the voice in her head: just like a character in her storeis, but not one she could control. The psychiatrist would have a field day with that.
There was another pool ahead, this one gray and whispering. She knew what it was and grew cold, and yet Stormy approached nevertheless. She wondered if flies felt the same as they saw in a split second the beads of dew hanging from the web/
She couldn't discern what they were asking, but she figured it was the same: drink. Just a little sip, it wouldn't hurt . . . And maybe it was part of some elaborate trial. She didn't feel too bad, honestly, just a little light headed. Maybe from drinking what tasted like fog? (Had she ever tasted fog? Yes of course she had what a silly little question you!)

Odd thoughts were nothing new to Stormy, though, regardless of her age. She kept on trucking.
The next pool she encountered was the first to give her a really bad feeling. Like really bad feeling. The water tasted sour too.
Her heart beat a little quicker. Maybe it was poison? No, it didn't taste funny--wait, poison didn't have to, some of the best kinds weren't tasted at all, idiot--
She quickly moved away.

((Wrath Enter))
Duties. Tasks. Missions. These were all but the fragments that had made up Wrath's life. He followed leadership, did what he was told, and did it well. He was a soldier, Death's soldier, the Priestesses soldier, and not often was he ever given a choice.
But today he was. Today he had been given a choice. Even now he was still making that choice, despite what had been said to him by the man from Conquest when they had first arrived. It was not a decision he would make lightly, after all, but when Medea had entered that tower and bid them to follow her to it's top, he had followed.
Whether or not it was to fight with her or to stop her remained to be seen.
She had spoke of stopping Death himself, of rebuilding things fresh and anew. This seemed to be an impossible task to Wrath, who could not see how one such as Death, an ancient, could possibly be overcome. Still, he was curious to see how things played out, and certainly, it would be interesting to witness her succession should it come to be.
Racing into the tower along with everyone else, he was prepared to do whatever was necessary to gain him access to the towers peak.
The fact that the first corridor he encountered required him to drink, of all things, only made the massive soldier smile.
This was going to be so easy.
At least, that's what he thought.

Wrath had drunk a great many things in his time, of various color and taste, many of which had adverse effects. To find himself standing in front of a pool of yellow meant little to him. It reminded him of cider, and he only wondered if it would taste just as sweet.
Walking up to it's edge and kneeling down, he took a long swig.
And immediately felt like there wasn't enough room in his head for all of the thoughts that came crashing in. Paranoia, annoyance, voices.
Wrath pushed himself to his feet, turned, and strode out of the room, intent on continuing through this no matter what.

Noemi's running got heavier, stomping through the corridors to get to another pool and away from the crazy creatures following her. When she hit a pool at full speed and taking a drink, she felt herself shrinking. her cheeks becoming a little more chubby, freckles super dark and hair shorter then she had it now.
Tears flowed more freely, as she clung to her weapon in hopes that she would get through the room okay.
15 years old and facing monsters.

The next pool he came across was green, and while this reminded him of a drink that often led to hallucinations, it did not deter him as he made his way towards it, quickly bending down for a drink.
Suddenly, his clothes felt quite a bit looser. His muscle mass seemed to diminish, his hair becoming roughly three feet shorter though his height did not change. A few scars on parts of his arms disappeared, and Wrath's eyes widened.
That was a bit scary, and didn't do his paranoia any good either.
With a shake of his head, Wrath quickly backed out of the room.

And found herself at the gray pool again.
Stormy whimpered as she took another sip, her throat growing far too parched for comfort. Maybe there wasn't an exit at all? Maybe this was a horseman trap and they were laughing . . . Her ears strained for a mocking audience as she scurried away, hands tucked to her stomach.

She felt like she had wandered to the other side of the cavern . . . tunnel . . . place thingie . . . And Stormy was starting to really get scared. What horrors lied in wait next? Thane's shushing didn't help her fear very much, especially given how frightening he looked in her head.
The next pool seemed more still than the rest, clear and placid and exuding an odd aura to her. Maybe it would help . . . ? She didn't feel like she had anything to lose at any rate.
There was an immediate change as she drank, a strangely fast-forwarded version of emotions running through her until she felt normal again. Relatively. But her hair was short rather than long--short? Short? Stormy touched it and felt that it wasn't short at alll, but a curly ponytail that had been left over her shoulder. She wasn't any taller, but she felt . . . better. More assured of herself. The whispers and heartbeats were still there, as was the fear, but something tempered it all. She eyed her reflection and was struck by how mature the figure looking back at her was.
If she lived that long, it would be worth seeing the same calm, resolute look.
There was a door available to her now, but she took her time remembering the older woman in the pool before taking off.

Back to the yellow pool. Wrath should have known better then to drink from it again, he really should have, but the giant man was clearly a sucker for punishment. Even with his mind a spinning mess of paranoia and agitation, he still bent down for another drink.
Which, of course, only made things worse.

Red. Wrath liked the color Red. It reminded him of blood, of course, and was the color that reflected back perfectly from his own eyes.
He didn't even hesitate to drink. He was only too willing to sample the products of this corridor, and since he was actually required to do so in order to leave, that just made it all the better.
Suddenly his clothes fit much better again, though his gut area seemed a bit tighter then before. In fact it looked...a bit flabby...
Scars that had disappeared before reformed, and several new ones were added, as his hair grew back down to the floor, and even longer still.
Despite his unease, despite the way he actually felt like flipping tables and destroying anybody who so much as glanced at him, Wrath smiled.

She circled around the same pool and took another drink.
Instead of 15...her body was taking that of her 12yr old self. The whimpering and tears started to get worse.
