Shrugging impassively, Shun turned his attention back to the fire now that she wasn't quite talking a mile a minute. The big grin of hers a moment ago was a little disturbing to him. However, he slowly looked back at her a little harshly after she smacked him. "Don't touch me," he warned. Her strike hadn't been hard enough to warrant retaliation in the very least.

"Oh, ah, sorry," Zinnia apologized. She fell into an awkward silence and pretended to watch the fire, but really she was stealing sidelong glances at Shun. Had she offended him somehow? Or had that smack actually hurt him? She hadn't thought that she'd done it very hard, not even hard enough to sting a little; she'd done the same thing to her friends and they'd never complained. Maybe it wasn't about her; perhaps Shun was just one of those people who were really reserved. She could respect that-- probably. "Well, um... It was nice meeting you," she offered with her unstoppable smile. "I'll, um, go if you want to be alone." Maybe she could patch things up by being friendly later, but for now it was probably better to beat a retreat; she could talk to him again when he was feeling better, perhaps!

Alec sat up a bit having dozed off, there was the blue haired girl backing away from Shun. Stretching in a lazy little yawn, be leaned forward. "It's alright, everyone handles socializing in different ways I suppose." The red head smiled to her trying to cheer her up. Not everyone could handle additional conversations given the situation, so instead he tried to bridge the gap. "That's all." His gaze flickered around the fire, looking at each face in turn. Some were directed attention wise else where. Lost in small side conversation, or just sitting quietly. They were all connected, he was sure of it but to what level and degree he couldn't say nor comprehend.

To that, Shun just let out a grunt, then nodded curtly to the blue haired trainee. His back still ached a little from the fall and in general, he was just in a sour mood. Not to mention that he was always one to enjoy his personal space in most situations. He rolled his shoulders a little gingerly, then resumed to quietly watch the bonfire and wanting this whole situation to be over with.

"Okay! See you later!" Zinnia said brightly to Shun. She gave a little wave and stood up. However, she smirked mischievously as she gave him some space; here was a challenge! She didn't believe that it was possible for a human to be anti-social, so she was determined to become Shun's friend one way or another. She was sure that he had a lot of interesting stories to tell, if she could just get him to talk. But now didn't seem to be the time; eventually, though, she'd get him to open up a little! She heard Alec's voice and spotted him a short distance away. She hopped over and sat down next to him instead. "I guess," she said in a lowered voice, "Although I wonder..." Her voice drifted off, and she allowed that train of thought to die. "Alec, right?" she asked. She didn't know this boy well, but he looked about her age, and she remembered that he'd seemed friendly. He reminded her of her best friends Walt and Colin, a bit. "How are you?" she asked with a smile. "Are you looking forward to the spooky stories? 'Cause I sure am!"

Alec wasn't exactly prepared for her burst of enthusiasm given most everyone here was a bit moody. "No, I'm sure. It takes everyone time. Some of us are complete strangers." He murmured quietly, a bit thoughtful really. Shankuntala at least had been kind in her thanking him, or Elliot for joining in conversation. Preacher and Axel were both exhausted he was sure given they had fallen quiet. "Yeah! I'm Alec, youre..Zin right?" He didn't want to call her Zinny right off the bat, the 15 year old had manners. While she wasn't much smaller than himself, he at least wasn't among the smallest at the bonfire gathering. "Yes! I'm going to see if I can tell a good spooky one..I'm pretty sure some of these are going to scary me. Hopefully not" He laughed nervously rubbing the back of his neck. Really even Shun, he admired the older male. As much as he hated it, he was dealing quietly. Cyril too had seemed to relax and was making conversation with the small book girl Lenore. Everyone was..settling in. Even under such tense arrangements. They were behaving as well as they could he honestly believed. All t hings considered. Looking up at one of the few whom hadn't really joined in Alec offered this man a smile just the same. "It's been a few days, I think we got lost during the Parade but hello again!" The teen offered Mykanos a friendly smile waving him over. At least he remembered him, quiet well really. He'd been serious, and a bit over whelmed but he was a nice guy. He didn't need to feel alone standing close by the small watched group. "Come take a seat by the fire, I swear none of us bite." He laughed shaking his head a bit. "At least um." Alec had seen Preacher do so. "Not the ones awake right now." He mumbled a bit sheepishly, rubbing his own arm a bit. Several mentions. Alec worries about all of you ok. Even you quiet people.

Brendan was there the whole time, observing everyone and taking note not to anger the bald men. That would be bad, apparently.

It took a moment for Mykanos to realize he was being acknowledged, after having stood around for quite some time now. He did a double take to Alec upon hearing the familiar voice, staring at the boy for a second to make sure he'd correctly identified the youth as calling out to him. Doing a small look around himself, to make sure that it was indeed he who was being hailed, he slowly turned his body to face towards the collected group, giving them a once over. Hesitating for just a second, he took his time waltzing over, keeping a small distance once he'd made his way close enough. The teasing didn't seem to phase him, or really make sense in all honesty.
Looking amongst the faces, each one at a time, his demeanor remaining composed and placid as ever, Mykanos remained standing by the group, not quite comfortable enough yet to settle for sitting.

He cringed a moment realizing that probably sounded weird. Alec was pretty good at making odd notions, this wasn't any exception given Mykanos's confused look at being called too. "Some were earlier..never mind." Alec quietly explained for his odd comment. Instead he continued, asking his next question. . "Do you figure you'll toss in a story, any ideas in mind Mykanos?" He was pretty sure that was his name, he recalled him from the Parade anyway. Alec leaned back on his log he'd been on for some time. Between conversations, he was able to catch a quiet moment to actually speak further then the booth sign ups and initial greeting they'd shared. With everyone doing their own thing after all, it couldn't hurt to make the other feel more welcomed. They were all doomed to share each others company until released anyway. Given Zin had also asked the question, going around asking anyone who cared to share what was on there mind was on the agenda. "Or have any ideas rather?" His own mind wondered as to how he would compose his own tale.

"Yep, Zin!" Zinnia confirmed. She grinned at Alec's response to her question about stories; that was more like it! "I'll look forward to it, then!" She laughed happily. When Alec called to Mykanos and he came over, Zinnia raised a hand and waved. "Hi... Mykanos? I don't think we've met! I'm Zin!" She beamed up at the stranger. Looked like he was a friend of Alec's.

Shakuntala dipped her head in greeting towards Lloren. She was a familiar face just like Elijah -- er, Elliot -- but not someone she knew thoroughly. Still, that did not stop her from muttering a small, "H-Hello," to her. A wince followed from her all too clever pun and the seventeen year old couldn't help cracking a smile, but upon Elliot's response, she wiped it off her face. It was a bit too amusing, though."A-Are you all right?" she asked with a bit of concern to the male. "You're... n-not burned, right?"

Since Alec was the one that called him over, and seemed to be the focus point, he earned all of Mykanos' attention in conclusion. Pale eyes kept trained on the young lad, trying to understand the beginning of what was an explanation of some kind before the conversation veered completely to a new topic. Straightening up a touch more from the prompting, his crossed arms relaxed a little from their tight hold across his chest, silky hair that rested along one shoulder even earning a light smoothing back.
Well... he had still been debating on doing so or not, and would most likely wait to see how the others turned out before contributing to the storytelling. With a mild shrug of his broad shoulders, and a vague cant of his head for a moment, that was the most of a response Alec seemed to be getting on the matter. .... or so it would have seemed. After a small pause, he spoke up, "Maybe." and that was that. Prepared to inquire if Alec were going to present a story of his own, his attention was shifted to Zinnia as she suddenly pipped up. Giving her his usual blank, emotionless expression, a subtle nod was given in acknowledgement to the bubbly greeting and disposition.

Lloren's pleased expression was all the answer Elliot should need to answer his own question; she was clearly enjoying this far too much. Nonetheless she bowed her head in apology. "Ha ha, it runs in the family. I can't help it! And you have the best reactions, my good man. Feed for the comedian's heart. Thank you for the treat." She patted her belly while she bowed in mock appreciation, except part of that was probably sincere. This was Lloren, after all. She gave Shakuntala a happy wave. That had been some quick thinking with the jacket. "Hallo," she said, responding to the other girl's greeting.

"Personally, I don't know if I should be pleased to know that I'm feeding into your puns," Elliot replied flatly, though his lips were twitching as he struggled not to smile, "But you're welcome...I guess. And that all aside, as much as I've seen you around, I don't think I've personally introduced myself to you--"--or maybe he has, WHO KNOWS--"--so. My name is Elliot."
"Hm?" Tearing his gaze away from Lloren, he perked up and turned back to Shakuntaka, taking a moment to process her question before smiling wryly. "Well...a little bit, maybe," He admitted, turning his wrist over reveal that red patch across his skin, "It does sting, but it's no big deal, really. Don't worry." He appreciated the concern though, and reached out to give the girl a gentle pat on the shoulder.

After he unleashed the supercilious comments he felt something dark and heavy settle within the depths of his being. Normally when speaking ill of those he hardly knew he felt a measure of shame but now, after having spent time with them, the sickly feeling had only grown in intensity. His body tensed unpleasantly and his pulse raced unimpeded as he feared the ramifications of this transformation should anyone overhear him. Sirantha’s mumbling drew him away from the strange thoughts and feelings roiling within him and he raised a questioning brow at her. He hadn’t caught what she had said, but he had certainly heard something. Allowing it to slip away he responded to the portion of the conversation he could hear. “I suppose then, you should sit a little closer.” Grinning impishly he leaned toward her in a challenging manner.
To say that he was taken by surprise at her acceptance of his offer would have been a gross understatement. Standing to his full height and framing his chin with his thumb and forefinger he eyed her warily. He suddenly acquired the sensation that he was slowly working his way into a pit of lethally poisonous snakes and that a way out would soon vanish altogether. Though her mentioning the bed did enflame his nineteen year old mind’s desire he couldn’t help but to feel more skeptical than thrilled. All of this coming from a woman who claimed she thrived on the danger around her, it was most certainly a trap. Allowing the hand he had used to cradle his chin drop away he performed another disgustingly polite bow. “Very well then m’lady, a gentleman’s duty shall be fulfilled.”
Even more frightening than the seemingly scorned woman seated before him was the sounding of a familiar voice hissing as it went by. Straightening his back and turning he saw Axel and a chill shot up his spine. He managed to keep the turbulence of emotions from his face but as he watched the familiar man bowing to Sirantha the sour sensation of adrenaline coursed through his veins. A thousand apologies formed within his mind but that is where they remained as he held fast to the most recent mask he had adorned. Was it worth it? Potentially ruining the friendships he had recently made along with betraying those who had shown him the utmost kindness all in order to protect a name he wasn’t even sure he wanted anymore? He hoped so.
