Hematite was very much enjoying seeing her opponent wiggle about uselessly. She grinned and watched him for a moment before lazily calling down a lightning bolt.

The bolt struck Fois but he couldn't feel it at all. Wow, did he always have five feet? He wiggled his feet and flexed his talons and gazed at them in amazement.

Hematite frowned.The Noctowl was not bumping into things or otherwise hurting himself. He was supposed to do that! Irritably she sent another lightning bolt his way.

Evidently the other trainer was getting as tired of this battle as Lyle was, because she eventually withdrew her pokemon and left. Lyle didn't even notice at first, because he'd started to zone out. But when Hematite flew back, he looked up. "Oh, you're done? You must have won, since you're coming back on your own." She just grinned at him, so he took that as a yes. He returned her and headed off to get her healed.
