Since the Snagems weren't really moving, Death decided to get them moving. A beast of some sort would give off a booming roar and with it the ground beneath the Snagems would begin to shake and crumble away, revealing liquid hot magma. Their only option would be to run up the mountain and avoid the opening chasms, spewing lava, and tumbling rocks. The game had begun.

Crystal started running up, sending out her own shiny Charizard and grabbing onto him as he flew up into the air. "Right then... Demon Wing, we're going up the mountain. And we have no choice in the matter." The Charizard snorted, giving Crystal a quizzical look before flying off a bit faster.

Alternate Isaac looked over at the emerging magma in alarm, and activated his suit's propulsion systems. "Time to go," he exclaimed as he began hovering off the ground, "Anyone need a lift?"

Whatever beast was out there continued to roar, its mighty call summoning forth creatures from the magma. "Mag!" Magcargo cried as they were launched out of the magma, withdrawn in their shells. The fiery snails were like meteors coming up from below Isaac and Crystal. Should the snails miss their targets they would attack from midair as they made their descent with Flame Burst, balls of exploding fire raining down.

Lykas wasn't quite prepared for it when the ground beneath him began to cave away, falling over at first. He managed to catch himself with his ponytails before landing in the magma and hauled himself up and back onto firm ground. "A'ight, a'ight. I'm going." He griped as he started up the mountainside, attempting to duck and weave around the flaming balls of snail shell from the Magcargo.

"Never mind the scouting operation," Sol spoke up, immediately taking to the air as the ground began to crumble. While the magma wasn't anything he had to fear, he knew he'd need to just go ahead. He'd quickly try to deter one of the Magcargo, but the sheer speed kept him from getting close enough for the effort to be even a remote success.

Watching the groups from above, Leslie quirked her head before spitting at the Macargos below. She didn't have any Water Pokemon and orbital dropping an Onix just seemed like a bad plan. At least, until she felt her mighty winged steed falter in its flight and they began to plummet towards the top of the hill. "Why did I think this was a smart idea?" Leslie cried out, holding on for dear life to her Fearow as Mauri aimed to at least soften the landing.

Crystal would manage to climb onto the Charizard's back, though she would have her tail wrapped around her now after a close call with a Magcargo caused part of the fur on it to get singed. The hybrid held on for dear life as the dragon weaved through the airborne Magcargo, attacking any that got too close with a Dragon Claw.

He'd quickly try to deter one of the Magcargo, but the sheer speed kept him from getting close enough for the effort to be even a remote success. I perked up, then looked back. I quickly rushed off, growing severely irritated, trying to outrun the flowing lava rising. Everyone is in a panic; exactly what Death is wanting. There's no way that I am going to get a chance to be subtle about this...or maybe... I quickly rushed off, cutting across, blazing a trail with Agility. Well if Death wants to see a fight happen, then perhaps I can give him one... I leaped up and went to tackle Sol to pin him down. "I can only be quick about this..." I whispered to Sol. "...we got to make this game finish in a draw. Everyone has to cross the finish line at the same time. No casualties, no nothing. I'm done playing this guy's game."

Where everyone else had skills that would assist them getting up Rhyme really didn't think of her options. She had water pokemon sure but...It was then she recalled the Zubat. It'd be too heavy to carry her. No matter. Slow and steady of mind would win the race this time, and she scampered up, keeping level with Lykas, eyes up towards the first of the platforms. "If anyone is going to disappear, it'd be in this level..." She murmurs to herself, dodging a ball of flame and debating pulling out her Mudkip to sit on her shoulder and blast them away.

'Darts' eyes the oncoming lava with a wary eye, and the flying Magcargo even more so, before scampering up a level of platforms, his sunglasses reflecting back the glow of the lava as he looks back to make sure he was keeping up a good pace. What was their goal in all of this?

Back in Limbo, Sub would step out of one of Death's swirling masses of darkness, probably much to the surprise of the Snagems as he had not been seen since they disappeared from the 'HQ'. "Alright, Death, you broke our deal already! That one Darts died!" Sub shouted out into the vast whiteness, not caring who heard him.
-----
Meanwhile, at Mt. Battle. Death could hear Blizzard talking to Sol if he wanted, but for some reason not knowing what they were saying made it even more fun. So instead of snooping he decided to end their conversation abruptly as a swirling mass of darkness appeared above them...dropping Dark towards them, the Houndoom hybrid had some sort of jewel hanging from a necklace around his neck. Oh no...
Lykas and Rhyme would get a surprise themselves as the ground beneath them rose up and began to move! Those two weren't on a mountain, but a colony of Crustle, which were none too thrilled about being stepped on, trying to throw them off into the lava by Flailing around or sending the baby Dwebble up to attack.
Leslie wasn't going to have a pretty hard landing she would find as beneath the ground from where she planned to land an Onix shot up and threatened to swallow her whole!
Crystal might have the right idea about flying, that was until a feathered reptilian creature cried from the mountain top and dived bombed towards her Charizard. It was an Archeops with a pretty fast Quick Attack going on.
Darts was in an interesting scenario, for some reason nothing was attacking him, except for maybe the natural hazards going on. From where we was he could see Blizzard pinning down Sol and then the Houndoom hybrid appearing from nowhere.

Sub shouted out into the vast whiteness, not caring who heard him. ----- Back in limbo, Giratina Darts starts as their glorious leader makes his reappearance into what he had become convinced was some kind of boredom hell, designed to break his mind. He had been lazing in a kind of leaning posture, his arms crossed, until Sub showed up. He stands up straight and shakes his head slightly, his golden crest flashing a bit as he angles his neck. "Whoa, Sub. Calm down. I'm right here. What are you going on about?" SubonicXP Meanwhile, at Mt. Battle. The man in the jacket grits his teeth a little as he sees Dark drop on top of both team leaders, Sol and Blizz, and his hands go into his jacket pockets to retrieve his hunting knives again. His fingers slide into the knuckle guards easily as he takes a running start at the trio, his jacket flapping behind him wildly as he throws himself shoulder-first into the Houndoom hybrid. "Welcome back there scrappy!" he croaks. "Didja miss me and come back?"

From where we was he could see Blizzard pinning down Sol and then the Houndoom hybrid appearing from nowhere. In limbo, Aden and Cera saw Dark up and vanish, as well as some jewel being added to him on the way out. "Wait, deal?" Aden asked, looking towards Sub with a bit of annoyance in his voice. "Sub, what did you do!?"--- Normally, Sol would be one to try and dodge the speeding ice bullet immediately, but being pinned so quickly was still easier said when it came to getting away. Hearing what was said next, though, at least confirmed one thing. This Blizzard, he had hoped, was the one he's already known. If it wasn't, he definitely had a similar line of thought. However, he didn't get a chance to really answer, seeing a Houndoom hybrid fall from the sky. Instead, he threw Blizzard off him to roll along the wall, barely dodging the falling hybrid. On top of this, Dark almost seemed disappointed that he couldn't get the grand entrance he wanted. On top of some... weird take on another half and a watered down Articuno hybrid, he got tackled by a more familiar face, being pinned for a moment himself. "Interesting thing to call yourself, scrappy," he hissed, "but I wouldn't miss you if you were the last person to exist."

Future Leslie would look between the two beings, unsure of who exactly to confront for the moment. Grabbing her Doublade before pointing a sword at each person, the future hybrid told the pair. "Explain, now. Otherwise things get dangerous around here." Glancing to the small pouch around her neck, the hybrid was sorely tempted to make sure the point was emphasized, but decided she would wait for the moment and keep it a surprise.
----
Looking to where she was gonna land and seeing the thrashing sand, Leslie glanced to her current steed before returning the Fearow. No need to make this any more complicated. Opening a second Pokeball and seeing her Bulbasaur falling next to her, Leslie ordered, "Seed Bombs! Fire for the open mouth!" Watching the compact balls of exploding seeds fly for their targets, the Mawile hybrid hoped the Grass move would shut its mouth. Otherwise, her next plan was crazier than this one and twice as likely to end badly
