Bhima [ post 5 ]

"Thank you," she nodded, offering a polite bow regardless of the fact that Dyakida couldn't see it. Words left unspoken still made it across, and Bhima took her Sister's hand.

"I will protect my sisters, my brothers... we all have something to live for. When we return, I will give you a full report on the day's events. For now, I have to go... Aisha be with you." She left the tent then in search of the man who had asked for scouts. So many others had so much more to live for; spouses, little babies, the survival of their tribe. She'd might as well offer to go and save them the trouble. She was only young, and lacking the meaning in her life that so many had already achieved. She wasn't going to just keel over and die at the feet of the Oba, of course, but it was best to take the risk herself. She stood before the tiny Earthling and nodded.

"I would gladly go out scouting," she said to him. Her body language and tone were of complete respect. How many sisters would deny this man simply because he was an Earthling, she wondered?

Kadriye
p5

Kadriye just shook her head and murmured than Yansa had already proven herself. If there was ever war again Kadriye might find herself needing to address her sisters in such a manner but for now they should follow the lead of the sister who knew this situation best. Even if that meant taking orders from earthlings.

When the explanation for the battle formation came Kadriye turned to look properly at Briella. While she could fight in melee range with her sacred spear it was best she work from a distance this time. "Be safe, you might not be able to see me but don't get distracted." Worrying was natural but it must not cost either of them the concentration needed to do their jobs. " I'll find Ilyra." With archers and magic users positioned near each other she could potentially be side by side with the young sister she and Briella cared so much for.

Shukri post 2

Shukri had finished delivering the supplies he'd been ask to carry to the tents and other areas where they were needed. Instructions for the fighters and general morale raising was not particularly important to him and he'd only half paid attention to whatever was being shouted about. Only when he heard the word 'support' did he turn his head and tell Thema to so he could better hear. Ahh okay nothing for now, just stay out of the fighters way and then look to shifter woman for direction once they'd cleared out.

Well since they weren't headed off for about an hour or so there was no need to be just another body milling about in the throng as people tried to get organized. As carefully as he could Shukri slipped through the crowd and back to where the animals were penned or tied up. Ridwan has never experienced anything like this before and the Capramel could use the comforting sight of a familiar face and voice for a bit.

Tahira
p2

Things were finally starting to pick up and Tahira watched as people began to shift about, moving to their respective areas and asking whatever questions they needed to in order to make sure they knew exactly what they should be doing. Wielding a pair of blades the young woman knew she would be on the front lines. She'd have to get in close to hurt the enemy which put her at risk of injury herself but that was something you just had to accept. The hybrid was was ready, or as ready as she was going to be anyways.

Kiyelt - Kiyelt nodded at Gaddock and walked after a familiar mane of curly brown hair, he followed closer and found that it was not Mella but someone else. He wondered if Mella was going to come to this, perhaps to portray the battles on skins for the public. A sad job but there were few ways to get across stories as vividly as a picture.

He saw a male who was favoring his hand oddly. Kiyelt called out "The healers tents are over there if thats what you are looking for. Having no other direction and wondering if the first aid supplies for the troops themselves might be somewhere over there, he followed the new guy. "Did you get overly friendly with a spear a little early?" The gash made him grateful that his own weapon was a whip and consequently bladeless.

Iroia - "I never really thought of it that way." Iroia said, appraising the aldabuck with a new respect. "Okay you have convinced me, a well trained aldabuck like her would definitely give me pause. Working together... hadn't thought of it that way." Then she grinned brightly. "I like to do my own slashing too!" She almost danced in place at this thought. Finally a real battle!

"Really? If you knew me better you would never have to ask." she winked and twirled a blade. "I'd love nothing better," her voice sounded alive and spirited.

She eyed the buff alkidike mixture with interest but her fantasy of a triple squirmish died when her new...friend? tried to take the newcomers head off with words. Ah well one opponant would be more then enough. She was delighted he had offered a sparring match.

Huh, she thought listening to Yaholo, no energy from one sparing match? Did he not get enough sugar in his diet? In her opinion a spar was equivalent to a warm up, good for the heart and spirit.

Iroia sneered at Yahalo's back, did he not realize the insult he had just given Ruelash? Offering to battle on the others native territory? As if that would 'help' him? Patronizing prat, no wonder Ruelash didn't like him. Yeck!

"My name is Iroia," she said by way of introduction as an afterthought.

Sauron - Sauron smiled good naturedly as Lasarra and examined Ray. Tough looking guy that basically had "Do not mess with me," tattoed over his forehead. He smiled with glee as he felt Kelina's death grip on his hand, it saved him from doing the same thing to her, as it was a pry bar probably couldn't get them apart.

He offered his hand to Ray after greeting Lasarra and thought that the man would have to live up to his vibes if he were dating someone as crafty and intelligent as a beast charmer.

He waited and basked in Kelina's presence, listened to the orders from the leaders. Archers, magic users and defensive battlers in the rear.. oh no. That meant the swords and spears were to be in front, so Kelina would be watching his back.

"Nake," he said to his sprite, "If Kelina says she needs me, you come back to the fore for me, do it fast too, it may take me time to come back, if I can't come try to get someone like Yahalo to help her and watch her for me. And do your best to keep her safe, without her, I would be lost."

The little sprite saluted. His eyes slid over to Kelina's face, the newly blossoming love he had for her plain to see. He didn't know what he would do if something happened to her, probably throw himself on th enemy with no care for himself.

        Ilyra
Ilyra laughed at Tahigwa's squeal. She was happy, and it was even better that Tahigwa was also happy! When Tahigwa said they were Soul Mates Ilyra nodded excitedly. That was exactly how they had thought of it. They had been friends since she could remember, even with them moving and finding new things out about themselves, no matter what they were always there for each other. Soul mates was exactly what Ilyra would call it.

As the leaders started talking Ilyra frowned. She wouldn't be with Tahigwa, she was an archer so the two of them wouldn't be together. "I don't see him, but Tahigwa I have to go, I'm going to find Kadriye so at least I will be with her. You go stay with my mom and your bother. Tahigwa keep yourself safe. You aren't allowed to tell me that you love me and than leave me. Got it?" she said pulling her girlfriends face towards her and standing still for a second. "Please be safe, please be safe Tahigwa. I love you." and with that she kissed Tahigwa for the second time within a few minutes. She let go of Tahigwa's hands reluctantly and went to go find Kadriye, who would be stationed with her.

Looking back a few times she finally couldn't spot Tahigwa anymore. After looking around she finally found Kadriye and her mother about to part as well. She wasn't sure if she should tell her mother about Tahigwa and her confession, no that would just distract her more. "Hi mom, Hi Kadriye. I told Tahigwa to go find you. Don't worry Kadriye and I will stick together." she said with a smile as she looked at the mystic who she considered a second mother of sorts.

        Briella
Briella heard Kadriye mummer something and was about to ask what she said when the battle plans were laid out. They worried her, but they sounds good. That just meant that she would be far from both Ilyra and Kadriye. However the two of them would be together, and that alone gave her some relief. She nodded. "I won't, I know that you will be fine." she reached up and touched Kadriye's hair softly before nodding and starting to walk away.

As luck would have it Kadriye didn't even have to find Ilyra, for Briella's daughter was already there. Birella hugged her. "When this is all over if we don't see each other at first than meet at Dyakida's tent." she said more to Ilyra than Kadriye since she knew that the young mystic might be to busy to meet up with her after. At least Ilyra would be able to tell her that Kadriye was safe.

Walking away from two of the most important people in her life she walked towards Yansa. At seeing Yaholo she smiled. "Sister, are you ready to put that hammer to good use? she said with a smile. She wondered where Yaholo's sisters were, though she was sure only Tahigwa would be fighting. Looking around she spotted Tahigwa. "Ah Tahigwa, I look forward to fighting alongside you." she said with a smile. Good, she knew that Yaholo was amazing with his weapon and with Tahigwa on her side she would be able to look after her daughter's best friend as well.

Sathe (Post 4)

Sathe was in the middle of mixing a salve when the hand came down on her shoulder. She gave a jump and the salve and its container fell on top of the crate she was working on. Putting a hand to her chest she turned to laugh at her assailant. "Geez... you pick a great time to scare someone." She felt a tingle radiate outward from the spot he touched. Why did she have to get like this around him? She wanted to reach out and grab a hold of his hand; just that little bit of reassurance and contact for herself. It was like he was her guilty pleasure.

She picked up the thick salve and wiped away the little flecks that had gotten onto the crate. A small shifter girl, Antiope, who couldn't possibly be much older than herself called out to those who were staying behind, and the other elders made their comments before those around them resumed their conversation.

With this she did put her hand on Gaddok's. "Are you going out there today?" She had chosen to stay behind, and was more than worried about her sister already. She hoped that this boy she barely knew wasn't going out there too. She could already feel the next wave of tingling working its way from her fingertips.

Gaddok gently ran his thumb across her fingers,"I... I am going out to war." he spoke in a somber tone, keeping his eyes on her hand, "I want to go, I just..." His eyes drifted to look at the traffic passing by the tent, "I feel like there is something we don't know. It's strange, probably just nerves." he shook his head and met her eyes, "Sorry for my rambling."

True as it was he couldn't stop thinking about how he could go off to fight this war and never see her again, which made him not want to go; cold feet, I suppose. He was here with Sathe, right where he wanted to be. "I'm glad I ran into you before I left." Gaddok smiled and lifted his hand to interlock his fingers with hers, "You're here to help with healing, huh? Maybe getting injured won't be so bad." A joke, clearly, but some truth was in his statement.

It was so peaceful in this moment; something of one of his dreams. Gaddok held her gaze, got lost in this moment. He brushed a few stray bangs from her face, using that as an excuse to graze her cheek, "I know I don't have much time left before we depart, but I have something that needs to be said." He wasn't very good at this part, but it couldn't wait, "Since I left Tale, I haven't been able to stop thinking about you..." he took her other hand, sliding his fingers between hers, and stood up straight, "When this war is over, I would like to see you again."

        Zuri
Zuri stared at the elders and sighed. She knew this time would come, but she hadn't been looking forward to it. Now that she was reunited with her brother her want to leave was even less. She pulled her brother into a hug. "No matter what, know that you are always welcome in my home. Stick with my husband please, so I don't have to worry about either of you all that much." she said with a laugh. She did feel better having the two of them together.

Leaving her brother she gave a sad smile before finding her husband with a group of prentices. She smiled and walked up behind him, wrapping her arms around him before moving to stand in front of him and kissing him on the lips hard. "I love you my dear, I will stay safe for you and the girls." she said with a smile. She went to move away but than kissed him again, this time it was a more soft and sensual kiss. She loved him, and she would stay safe and return to shower him with more kisses later.

With one more small kiss she was off, off to fight for their freedom.

[Biroki -> Prentices and briefly Zuri -> Healing Tents]

He nodded to Mella. "Oh, okay, sure. You can do the mixing..." he gave her a sympathetic smile, "I'll show you a few more mixes in a... in a bit." he said, going back to his own preparations, going through the herbs and identifying what he could, and what he needed to take out now.

When Antiope spoke, he really only half-listened - he was paying more attention to the prentices he'd wrangled under his wing and to the salve that was cooking - it was delicate stuff. Meet for positions after. Okay. Good. He'd do that. For now, though, he was supervising and working.

"Hmm?" he said to Unquin, belatedly realizing the leaf boy had asked a question. The question processed through and he had to think about it for a moment.
"W-well, no. I've fought smaller fights, against friends..." his face clouded, remembering the thugs who had threatened his home, "And enemies... I haven't even been involved in a s-skirmish..." Biroki set out the herbs that he could turn into an antiseptic, "But... My uncle and I have seen the aftermath of those hunts and skirmishes. S-so..." He closed his eyes trying not to think about all the possibilities, the terrible things that could happen out there and end up in these tents. "Do you... have someone out there?" he asked, giving the boy a sympathetic look.

His wife, as if summoned by the conversation, wrapped her arms around him. Startled, he returned her kiss, then drew her back into the more passionate kiss, trying to sear into his memory her smell, the feel of her hair on his hand as he held her close, the feel of her lips on his. "I love you too, and you had better come back..." he said, his voice slightly husky and fierce, feeling warm in most every way even as he watched her go. It was a moment before he turned back to Uquin, his emotions undercontrol, his flush hidden under his dark skin. "I do." he said quietly. And, despite her assurances, despite what he had said, he was still worried that she would not be coming back.

[Ruelash -> Yaholo (Briefly), Iroia -> Beast Pens ]

"Don't F*** touch me." he snarled at Yaholo, channelling Direk for a moment as he shook off the man's hand, his own hands going to his blades briefly. He was kinder than Direk. She would have bit. "I'll battle you anywhere!" he shouted after Yaholo as the bugman coward who hit like a mammu went off into the distance to talk with an Alkidike lady who was apparently in charge. "An' I'll win so go f*** yourself!"

Direk whickered her own comment and Ruelash turned back to her, seething, to take her off her harness. It seemed things were happening soon, and he felt it as a pressure along his whole body. He needed to fight. He neded to do it. And he was sick of waiting.

He looked at Iroia blankly, having temporarily forgotten about her. Oh right. The not shitty person.

He grinned, wild. "Ruelash." he didn't bother offering a hand. The spar would be handshake enough.
And she had agreed to spar.
On remembering that, he drew his swords. "All right." he said, eager to blow off some steam. It was an appetizer, a warm up, a way to satisfy his endless waiting. Not that he wanted to kill her or anything. "Lets have some fun." he said, getting into a stance, his blood singing with anticipation.

Its cool! Nua will wait for him forevvvvver <3

[Nuawahn -> Ogbonna (looking to Yansa) -> By the rocks]

"'kay" said Nua, waving as Oggie went off to talk to Enki. He kicked his feet against the rock, letting his mind and ears wander. He turned to look at where Yansa was gathering the rear forces. She was a very pretty Alkidike. He might have seen her around here and there when he was living with the Alkidikes, but he wasn't sure. She seemed strong, though, and was talking about bows and magic and...
Wait, Defensive magic? That was him! So THATS where he was supposed to go! "Oggie!" he called out, waving, "I think I'm supposed to go over there!" he said, pointing, "Am I right?"

La'amu stood up, looking out at the gathering forces. It was time for something dire. She could feel it in her old bones. She huffed, nuzzling her notcalf. She was worried, very worried.

Ray post #4 (1/2 for this part)

Rayolun reached out and roughly ruffled his self-proclaimed brother's hair. "Take care of yourself Gerrardan, don't do anything too rash trying to show off." He said with a grin as he turned back to Lassara and her two friends who'd showed up. He shook Sauron's offered hand with one ear cocked as he heard a response to his answer.
"I've been well, Kelina. And that sounds like me the que to go and get some instructions." He wrapped an arm about Lassarra in an awkward hug before heading off, "You three also take care of yourselves and no die-ing." With that he slipped through the crowd towards Enki to get some more information on where he would be scouting.

Vollerei post #4 (1/2 for this part)
Vollerei thought for a moment, scout of defense? Well, sitting around doing nothing except guard the magic users would be nice if there was food to be eaten.. but somehow she didn't think they'd let her eat on duty. Guess scouting probably be better for me, I can at least hunt at the same time and eat on the move. She waved farewell to Jerarda and held out an arm for Zweil to land on before striding off after Rayolun, though in a less winding path as she could muscle her way through the crowd and didn't' mind do so.

Senja post #4 (1/2 for this part)

"Oh, he's here! But knowing Rastian, he'll be out up with the front runners of the army and healing them instead of with the healers back here." She sighed. Why did she have to fall for someone that fool hardy? It was brave and all that good stuff, but still! "I've mostly been helping haul things around... Or at least riding Shelia while she does the heavy work." She wrinkled her nose, "I guess I'll have way too much time to learn how to help the healers once the fighting starts. Which," She said after the leaders had spoken. "It looks like will be happening soon."

Iroia growled with glee bearing her teeth in a feral smile. She flipped her blades out and took a starting stance her father had taught her. She started to circle around, finding higher ground. The fence was between them, she would let the sparky opponant come to her, she admired his feisty attitude, she understood it. The need the absolute craving to blow of steam in the best way she knew how, the threat of sharp blades and a tough work out. Ahh what a glorius day this was, she tried to keep from moving to much, but she was excited and her feet danced more then they should with him still so far away, no doubt it wouldn't be long till he vaulted the fence so she sunk deeper onto the balls of her feet, acheiving that eager but zen feeling her mother had taught her to embrace while fighting use your brain more then your heart. Use your heart when your brain was not fast enough or when you were terribly tired.
