Valerian cast an uncomfortable look at the stag's skeleton, shifting on his hooves. Thorne's eyes narrowed in frustration; for once in his life he found himself at a disadvantage in this portion of the woods. Motioning to the deer at his side the pair carefully picked their way past the bones and continued onward.

The beauty of the woods did not dim, and Stephen found himself wondering why he had never ventured in before. While he pondered this, he absently changed direction...to find the fox again. It stared at him just like before, eyes full of amusement. What was so amusing? He almost thought to ask it. But like before, it was gone before he had the chance. But he had seen it twice now...He must have traveling in the right direction. Unless the fox meant to lead him away, to something sinister...Shaking the ominous thought, Stephen chased after it.

You happen upon a clearing. At the very center lies a fairy circle of mushrooms, unusually large, and within it several rabbits, which are all staring at you. Their gaze is unsettling. They seem to know something. 1. Amorpheous 2. Chrystali 3. Umbrology 4. Amorpheous 5. Chrystali All five rabbits are companion pets, not familiars! You may choose to either take a rabbit or walk away with two points. Please quote me with your decision! If you choose a rabbit, provide your order of preference (omitting any you aren't interested in). If we don't hear back from you within 24 hours, you will be given two points and the game will move on. Rabbits whose uncert links are crossed out have already been claimed.

A broken twig lies in your path. Bending down to retrieve it, you notice that it has a faint spicy scent and the inside of the wood is green and pliable. Something has passed through here recently.
You win two points this turn.

You hear the loud pop of a branch breaking deeper in the forest. After a moment of consideration, taking in the dense bluish mist rising from the forest floor, you set off in the sound's direction. It could be nothing, but it's worth investigating… as long as you're careful.
You win two points this turn.

Mist began rising from the damp forest floor not too long ago; now it's all around you, muting the autumn colors behind a ghostly bluish veil. You can still see well enough to stick to the path you've chosen, but as you walk or ride on you begin to catch glimpses of something white showing through the sparse yellow leaves of a buckthorn hedge.
You investigate.
Unfortunately it is only the skeleton of a large stag, stripped of flesh but otherwise almost perfectly intact; time has bleached its bones to the stark paleness that distracted you. A single wild rose has grown up through one of its eye sockets.
You do not win or lose any points this turn.

There's nothing better than stew during the winter months.
Nothing better than a warm pint filling your belly, mixing with the juices of a plump little quail or gamey deer.
These thoughts are what spring her to action, cause her fingers to wrap deftly around the bow she had carved herself; shove arrows carefully into their quiver. She tugs her wild frizz of autumn-colored hair into submission, weaving it into a haphazard braid that falls halfway down her back. Her nails are dark crescents of dirt and grime, her face smudged with the very same substance.
Her first step into the Wardwood is a light one, her pace steady as she moves through the tangle of branches. The light in her glittering green eyes tells stories of practice, experience. As she breaks into a small clearing, the sun blaring down on her lanky frame, she lets a grin spread across her weather-roughened face; dimples prominent among the light scattering of freckles that color her cheeks. Already, she can hear the sounds of the animals belong to the wood.

A-ha! Well, it appeared as if Gabriel was on the right track again. Morai may have scared their target away, however, as he stumbled over a log. he lay there a moment on his side, tongue stuck out, and then decided that he was not in fact dead and got up to continue.

Eloise stopped for a few minutes taking in all the natural beauty of the forest. There was nothing like nature to relax you and help sort out your mind. She spun in a small circle watching a few leaves flutter down from overhead in a streak of light that shined through the dense trees. She stopped when she felt herself being watched. The curly haired woman quickly spun on her heal to see a beautiful white fox staring back at her. His bright blue eyes seemed to taunt and tease her. The fox took off into the force faster than she had ever seen any creature move.
"Wait come back! I want to help you!"
She started to run in a full sprint after the fox, determined to catch the large creature and keep it out of harm's way. Up ahead she saw the swift darting movement of the fox as it playfully ran her in circles through the trees. Eloise continued to follow him, hoping that the fox would get tired before her.

Tucking the hair in her pocket just in case, Maggie again tucked her herb basket against her hip and follows the trail with a faint frown of concentration. Caught up in the game of fox-tracking, she has forgotten, for the moment, her original errand that brought her into the woods in the first place.

The forest is quiet; by now most of the birds have migrated south, and the only sounds you've heard for the past several minutes are the rustling of the breeze in the trees, the plop of acorns falling, the quiet scraping rustle as a leaf descends to the forest floor, and the occasional rasp of a squirrel gnawing on a nut's shell in the distance. It is peaceful — or, depending on your character's preferences, a little eerie.
The shrill, almost-human scream of a rabbit's death cry shatters the silence. Once you've taken a moment to recover (or, if you're a badass mofo, coolly evaluate the situation) you head in the scream's direction. It could be the work of a hawk, but there's still a good chance a fox is nearby.
You win three points this turn.

A subtle irregularity on the ground catches your eye. You take a closer look: there's a muddy rabbit print embossed on one half of a fallen leaf. It may not be exactly what you're looking for, but it could lead to bigger and better things.
You win one point this turn.
