Jack tried not to gag at the pair of Sun hunters as he let the charge go off. The sword became remarkably easier to swing, and it was very, very satisfying to cut deeper into the group of mermaids than his previous swings were getting at. Although Owain insisted he could still do much better.

Wilson curiously followed Jack's line of sight, but saw nothing particularly bothersome. The death hunter shrugged and kept defending.

Finn wasn't really sure why he had answered that text by showing up on the beach with swimming gear, all ready to submerge himself in that water. The last time he had been near the ocean, he had been captured by a tentacle, dragged into the watery depths, and eaten. It had been, frankly, the most terrifying experience of his life, not that he would have ever said so out loud. But here he stood, ready...well, sort of ready.
He watched as others went in before him, making his way towards the water and standing at it's edge, face completely blank. His insides were a turmoil of emotion, none of which showed on the outside. A mounting sense of panic was attempting to rise inside of him, and he was struggling to keep it down, to just breathe, to tell himself that he had, absolutely, without a doubt, signed up for exactly this kind of s**t.
He was going to move past what happened, he was going to swim his a** down there, and he was going to kick some mermaid a**-tail.
With a smirk, he finally waded into the water, no longer thinking about the past but of what this could do to help his future. He dove under the surface and swam, down, with powerful strokes, somehow managing to avoid any problems at all.

And he grinned right back. Because hey, she seemed pleasant enough to him - little did he know who he was interacting with at that time or else Nevada probably would have been watching from behind a clump of seaweed or something.
Aren seemed overly excited in his head, however, as the weapon began to thrum. MAKE WAVES, MAKE WAVES, MAKE WAVES!
Said process nearly had him buried in rocks from the cave, however.

Alaska seemed taken aback when his attempt at a charged attack only led to him being buried beneath rocks. She swam over to him to help move away some rocks while she continued to swing her leiomanos at the mermaids.

It was time to have a look around. He knew he was meant to be finding mermaids, but a cave nearby piqued his curiosity and he decided to have a little swim over to check that out first.

He was laughing, that much was clear, as he gave Alaska a thumbs up. Giving her a small pat on the shoulder as he righted himself, to try with something less disastrous.
