"Do you really detest dressing up?" Alistair asked, raising his eyebrows. "Good luck finding something I won't enjoy doing with you," he hummed quietly.
Gabriel rolled his eyes a little. It was easy to act normal when he felt at least mostly okay. "Alright, yes, better."

"Ooooh no. This has nothing to do with things we do together. This is something you and you alone hate." The blonde protested. "It's just... complicated. More draining then anything else..."
"Good. Though if you ask me, I don't notice the difference soooo." Des just shrugged, grinning all the while as he stuck his hands back in his pocket. "You're definitely seem better..." His color was coming back at least.
"Well, getting dressed up to go on a date would be something we do together," Alistair pointed out, "so obviously whatever thins thing is would have to be both uncomfortable for me and with you." He sighed. "If it really would bother you, though, I can keep to less fancy places."
"Yes, yes, my hair is a disaster at all times," Gabriel actually laughed, and he genuinely did feel a lot better. "You're good at keeping me sane."

"Maybe I'll just hide your clothes... see what you do with out your designer labels" Lance deadpanned. "Technicalities. As dressing up would be 'uncomfortable for me and with you'."
"Hmm how do you know I'm not secretly saner then the rest of them?" Des questioned.
"I've been good thank you" Arian said quietly as he awkwardly returned Harmony's hug with a one-armed hug of his own genuinely happy to see the mint-haired teen again.
"My cousin finally talked me into selling some of my jewellery on Etsy a little while back and I'm at DCU now that I've finished with High School. You?"
He heard his phone buzz with an incoming text and made a mental note to himself to check it after he finished speaking to Harmony. He didn't think it was his cousin given that they still had time before they were due to meet up.
And well it had been a while since he and Harmony had last seen each other.

Qiuyue wasn't really sure as to what she should make of the whole thing, all too ready to shrug it off as nothing and put it entirely behind her in favour of enjoying the festivities and merrymaking that were resuming now that the lunar eclipse had taken place proper. "I suppose... in any case, so long as we feel fine perhaps it's not something that we should be overly concerned about?"
She offered her two cents worth on the strange occurrence, looking Falco over as a smile crossed her face at his comment. Darn right he was about that if he had bore witness to the fighting between the various factions prior. She couldn't outrightly say that she was adverse to such supernatural existences after all since she had the Dark Mirror court to thank for the life she had now under the cover of a new identity. She had to feign ignorance nonetheless of course. It was after all appropriate in her context since she was supposed to have arrived at Destiny City only just recently for the purpose of furthering her studies at DCU. "It isn't? You mean to say... that strange things have happened in this city in the past?"

Feel free to have Scott approach if you want!
Penelope was relieved when texts began to come in confirming that (1) she was not insane and (2) her friends were not hurt by the strange flying creatures either. She craned her neck to try and see when all she really wanted to do was run and find each of them in the crowd. She sawChris and Paris approaching and recieved Paris's text soon after. She immediately waved both hands over her head, the light of the cell phone shining in welcome.
When it buzzed in her hands and she saw the two previously missed texts from Harper and Christa. Penelope lowered her hands and sent them each a text back via the group message, hoping to gather them closer along with the others. Whether powered or not, the dark-haired girl believed strongly in safety in numbers and, especially, in her friends. Alone, she could do little, but when together... somehow her meager efforts felt as though they had meaning
Text
Near door of Costume Contest. Meet me?
Motioning to the two already beside her (Adrian and Danica), Penelope gave a shake of her head. "We were just having a... um... conversation, and then those creatures appeared. They didn't seem to hurt us but... I don't know, it's suspicious, isn't it?"
Then she realized that neither of her friends had made specific mention of the rabbits and that they didn't know everyone around them. The normally discrete girl flushed for the seemingly thousandth time that night. If she kept this up, her face was going to stay that way permanently! Maybe it was best for her to stay quiet, for now, until the others arrived.
== The Guardian Cat got a little jealous whenever the cellphone appeared, but she did her best to quiet her friend's fears. How else was better than purring and cuddles as the hands that should have been petting or playing with her sent a text to whoever it was that she felt she needed to text.
Horatio took her last couple of pets wth a pitiful mewl, but her mood instantly brightened at the request for information. Orah wanted her to play a game of Detective? Sure, the kitty could do that! "Okay, I'll go and listen to all the people and not talk to any who aren't winners like you, okay? Have fun!"
With that, she was off with a sprint! Detective Horatio would get to the bottom of this, one way or the other... and who knew what her prize might be?!

"You're selling your jewelry now? That's great!"
She'd seen pictures of it before and it was always really pretty. Harmony was proud of him for putting himself out there. She waved to Mr. Santini who noticed her taking a break and wanted to say something but didn't. She was there in a strictly volunteer capacity. She loved her business and was showing her pride by helping out now.
"I'm going to DCU this year, too! Photography Major. Might dabble in cooking or something, who knows?"
Her plans were very fluid other than she knew she wanted to do something with her love of photography.
"I moved out of Mom and Tony's house, too. I have a little apartment up University Drive. You should come over sometime. We could totally hang out!"
"Strange doesn't cover the half of it. We've had a mass coma, an damn organ ring... mass kidnapping... and that's just the big stuff. I can't imagine we're much of a tourist destination these days."
Hell thinking about it he was surprised the entire city hadn't collapsed into a financial ruin. People were amazingly stubborn he guessed, which was in it's own way impressive. Hell it almost seemed as though Destiny City had chosen to thrive not in spite of, but because of it's 'terrorists'.
"That sounds like a terrible review. Really things have been...mostly quiet for a while I guess. This is the first bit of really in your face weird for a while."
He rubbed the nape of his neck, partially embarrassed for such an odd conversation, partially because, although he felt.. well he was pretty sure he was fine... he couldn't quite get the hairs on the back of his neck to stand down from attention. It had all been too strange, even for what he knew.

"Yeah, b-but if I ginore it, it didn't just happen, right?" He wanted to pretend it didn't happen, he really did, but from how scared his new friend(?) seemed to be acting, and that tremble, which pointedly did not happen, in his voice, it seemed that unfortunatley, it may have happened.
And dammit, he didn't want this weird s**t to happen, that meant he would have someone to....blegh, deal with it with him, and it seemed he just got that in heaps and bounds, thank goodness he only talked to this girl.
"Can we just act like they didn't exist? Just today can we pretend that some weird rabbits didn't just come down and creepily touch our faces?" He frowned, maybe that was a bit too desperate? But he wasn't particularly fond of what those rabbits would probably mean for him. "If something comes of this we can...exchange cell phone numbers?" He tried not to scowl, or grimace, or look in anyway unhappy at this prospect, mainly because she had been pretty nice, and the glares just seemed to entertain her. Damn.

Qiuyue blinked a few times at Falco's account, genuinely surprised by it as she shifted her gaze to regard the crowd of people around them. "Probably not. But the city seems to be thriving well enough without a mass efflux of people because of all that?" The infrastructure and the people made Destiny City look ordinary really, unlike some other cities that people might choose to avoid settling in for various reasons such as crime rate and stuff.
"Nothing beats hearing about something from a local really. I won't claim to be an expert on the matter but I'm sure that other places have their fair share of strange occurrences if you dig hard enough." She shook her head, not at all intending to let what he had shared affect her impression of the city by far. This was to be her new home and she was pretty optimistic that she would be able to stay on top of whatever strange events that happened to come her way such as the recent thing with the winged rabbits. Whatever that was supposed to mean for all of them.
"So... watcha gonna do for the rest of the evening?" Enough with the odd conversation for now though, she had to go get her hands on a moon pie and check out the stalls to see what other gem she might have the fortune of stumbling upon. No point standing around and speculating over those winged rabbits!

Arian smiled ruefully "I should say that my cousin the selling since she handles all the money side of things. I make the jewellery and handle dropping it off to be shipped. Although its easier to just deliver by hand if the order is from someone based here."
He nodded "I'm doing Jewellery and Silversmithing." The family, Saffy included had wanted him to do something considered 'useful'- like business, but Arian had gone along with them and applied for the courses that the family thought best for him, but he'd also applied for DCU's Jewellery and Silversmithing degree course on the side and been really happy when he'd been accepted onto the course.
He smiled again "I'm still living with my cousin" adding "And I'd like that, for us to hang out together sometimes."
Noticing Mr Santini glancing their way he added ruefully "Am I distracting you from coffee duties?" He hadn't meant to.
"Yeah....seems like it." He didn't for one single moment believe what Xander said, he just hoped Xander believed such nonsense. Alexandre knew better though, how could he not? He had seen enough odd and magical things go on in this city to know this was not something normal - mundane .He didn't ask though, even if he did want to, as he didn't wish to bring up the topic of terrorists with his family.
Attention turned to Lily and he bobbed his head. "Sounds like a busy schedule. We'll have to arrange a time for you to come by - or you can invite yourself in and I'll be home when I'm home." Rather then text, or write down, each others schedules and try and organize some free time. It wasn't like she didn't have a key, she had lived there once as well, and he was fairly sure she hadn't thrown the key away or lost it somewhere or other. Lily was as organized as he was so the key being lost was highly unlikely. Why she hadn't invited herself over yet was beyond him - honestly.
"I've met her - and she has good taste. It fits our brother well; it does bring out his good looks more." He hadn't meant to insult Xander, if he had, but Xander didn't focus on fashion like he and other people did. It simply wasn't Xander's thing and so while Alex stated such things without harm intended he could have insulted him with the fact stating; something he didn't even think about though.
"I know Xander...trust me I do." He said smiling up at the other. "But Lily is right. You should, every so often, wear something a bit different. I'm sure Phina, knowing her and her flirtatious ways, was aiming to have you attracting as many females as possible." And she had succeeded for sure, the outfit looked good on him. "Which isn't a bad thing - it's good in fact." He added after a moment before bobbing his head up and down twice. "It is really that nice and Lily's right; I bet there would be a good hat to go with it. You can let your hair down then and show off a bit more - you certainly deserve it." And now he moved forward to grab both Lily and Xander's hand. "Which means we are heading in there for a hat and an outfit, or two, for me." And he aimed to tug them both right into the shop, intent on spending some money.

"Well I was going to go rubberneck the eating contest and see what kind of people are actually that invested in consuming too much marshmallow and chocolate, but I think I might have just exhausted my quota of oddball for the evening so I guess I'll find something else to do. You're new here huh?"
He really was surprised by that, but then, apparently part of Destiny City was being constantly surprised. Your idea of normal just kept getting pushed around moment by moment.
"Personally I think if I go after something ridiculously unhealthy it might just have to be to check if they've got any fried dough, because hell. Fried Dough."
He'd end up half covered in powdered sugar but damnit, it was one of those treats you really only found at things like this, he could deal with being a mess for a bit.
"Rubberneck? Fried dough?" She started to look a little puzzled by Falco's words, not quite able to follow his train of thoughts with the jargon that she was unfamiliar with despite her own command of the mainstream English language. Marshmallow and chocolate huh? Just one moon pie as a sampler for the sake of novelty would do nicely for her then. She would want to leave some space in her tummy for any other thing she might come across among the stalls out there.
Nodding at his question, she smiled sheepishly and bowed slightly while she supplied him with a brief self introduction. "Yeah. I'm from Taiwan. Name's Qiuyue." It wasn't as if she had anything to hide on this aspect of herself after all.
