Kenton drowned his smile in his salted cup of water. "Am I mad so soon? By the end of the year, surely Madam Princess will have turned me utterly psychotic. Please, for the sake of us all, staunch the cracks in your mind, before I begin speaking in tongues and disobeying orders. Oh—" Kenton cast a glance at Tom. "Perhaps I am too far gone to be helped."He smiled, though he did not mean to. Surely if Sir Prince saw them, Maeza—or at least he—was doomed. "I find the concept of your kind fascinating," Kenton admitted, trying to fathom the idea of only sleeping on moonless nights. "I only hope that Sir Prince does not use these nights to turn you against me. I am rather fond of your company, as sorely as he forbids it."Kenton wrinkled his nose. The idea of a physically affectionate teacher was still not a pleasing one to him. He tried to remember the press releases and obituaries he'd read, narrowing down the possible subjects for the stranger to teach. "If Sir is the etiquette teacher, I surmise that the stranger will teach fighting," he guessed. He ate a bit more, wondering what on earth this year would be like. "I have never been to a boarding school before," he said reflectively. "There's much more stone than I expected. Not nearly as many boards."

Princess Aurelie C. Neustria of Mount Aetherea Freshman ╚════════════════════════════════
Oh, so she wasn't that late, good. This allowed the Spellweaver to relax despite the annoying buzz of conversation filling the hall. "Aurelie Neustria, Princess of Mt. Aetherea. I'm a first year and this is actually the first time I've traveled away from my homeland let alone attend one of these institution. I'm also supposed to represent my people," she explained with a sigh as she rested her chin on the heel of her palm before she caught herself and straightened up. "I'm not exactly fit for that role so I hope you will have to forgive me for my occasional bluntness." Levy was also another princess so hopefully she will be able to learn from her. Her sisters were way better at this than her. Hopefully the etiquette classes here will help.

Though Kenton tried to hide his smile, Maeza could still see the way his eye lit up the slightest bit. She glanced at Tom as well and chuckled. "Well at least you won't be alone in your madness. After all, what fun is being insane without a friend there to ramble along with you?"
"As I find your kind," she replied. Imagine, a place where fairies controlled water. It was, well, fascinating. At Kenton's concern, Maeza shook her head and waved her hand in a dismissive motion. "Don't worry. You've made a good impression on me and he won't be able to make me dislike you," she assured him.
Maeza tried not to laugh at the face Kenton pulled when she mentioned Sir Robert, but a small chuckled escaped. "That sounds right. The last one left due to some emergency. I never got the full details."

Kenton wasn't sure why, but the continued joke was wearing away at his hardened exterior and making him genuinely enjoy himself. He broke into a smile, and then a laugh. "If we are not careful, we shall infect the leaders of the world with incurable insanity," he told Maeza, the corners of his eyes crinkling as he beamed at her. "That is welcome news. I am glad Sir Prince holds no extra sway with you," he said. "I should fear the day the two of you gang up against me."Hearing about the fighting teacher caused Kenton's signature frown to return. "That's peculiar. I read somewhere that he had died in the war," he said seriously. "Along with his..." Was it brother? Friend? He couldn't remember, and shook his head. "I apologize. I will stop speaking of death at dinner."

Maeza's already large smile only grew large when she heard Kenton's laugh for the first time. "Perhaps, but if we're all insane then that insanity becomes the new norm and we would be considered sane again," she countered.
"If anything, I'll try to make him less hostile towards you, though...well, that may take some time," she said, more to herself than to him
Maeza frowned as well and shrugged. "Like I said, I don't have all the details. I'm probably completely wrong." At his apology, she simply waved her hand and replied, "Don't worry about it. Conversations at this school tend to lead to very strange topics."

"What can you tell me of Sir Prince?" Kenton asked, his demeanor sobering and suddenly intensely curious. "You speak of him as one would a stubbornly violent child, and yet he is my elder and superior. Is he so volatile? I should think anyone truly dangerous to the student body ought to be expelled." Then again, perhaps he had the wrong idea about this place. He glanced around the filling room. Not nearly as many students as he had thought would be here... but then, were some still late? "What does one tend to talk about here?" he asked. "I have heard tell that ghosts, war, and secrecy abound here, and yet I cannot say for certain that such is true."

October smiled when her teacher bowed to her. Curtsying back, she now felt a little bit more confident. And even as the sinking feeling came when he left, she didn't feel like she would slip to the floor and into a fetal position.
Now, where to sit, she thought. There had been other students already eating, so she decided that she best find a seat quick. She noticed two girls sitting next to each other, both a little ways away from the other students. Here we go, she thought as she took a deep breath, pulled a smile onto her face, and walked over to the two.
"Excuse me, Princesses, would you mind if I sit here?" she said in that charming tone she used with suitors. The girl who she stood closest had long silver hair, and when she raised her eyes had beautiful pools of turquoise. The other, a girl who looked roughly the same age, had blonde hair not quite as long and scarlet eyes. I feel like non normal eyes are common for royalty, she thought as she tried not to laugh.

The animal tamer offered a smile to Aurelie as she introduced herself, trying to ignore the overflow of sensory information. "Nice to meet you Aurelie. I myself am a junior here, though I can't say I see many familiar faces other than those of my professors..." Vincent had yet to arrive, and the teen was beginning to worry. Where is he? She wondered, her scarlet eyes scanning the room once more before resting on the new figure approaching the two princesses. Before the newcomer made it close enough to hear, Levy offered some advice to the younger princess. "Don't confuse being stimulating with being blunt. One of the most important things to fulfilling your role, is being yourself." Levy was not one to smile much, but now she offered the girl a warm, genuine smile.
The princess then turned her attention to the blue eyed girl approaching them. Levy could smell the tension and anxiety in the air around her but made no comment about it. It seemed that the older princess was just a magnet to the younglings at the school this year. She offered one more smile as she nodded to October. "Not at all. Please, sit. I'm Princess Levy Damiana, of Fiore. And you are?" She brushed her blonde bangs back from her face, adjusting her curls and dress before looking back at the new girl.
You'd think that with all the people here I'd remember at least one person... But it looks like not many people have returned... Instead, it's all newcomers... Not necessarily a bad thing, though it would've been nice to see some familiar faces. Ah, well, what can you do? I'm sure Vincent would love to meet these girls, they seem to be his age!

"Princess Aurelie, Princess Levy, it's a pleasure to meet both of you," she said with a kind smile as she curtsied to the two before taking her seat next to Aurelie. The girl was beautiful and seemed so regal. That wasn't to say Levy didn't either, but she seemed more of a princess who had much more interesting time fighting. "I'm Princess October of Alive. Please, call me October," she said with a smile.
However, her smile slowly left her face when Aurelie mentioned her talking to Monsieur Marrouf. "I'm... I needed some confidence coming into the room, and the Monsieur helped me out. It was rather nice of him," she said as a blush dusted her cheeks. She felt embarrassed that she had to rely on a teacher for such help.
"Pardon me for eavesdropping, but Levy you said you were a junior? I should be a junior myself, except our Council Leader enrolled me as a freshman, which makes sense since this is not your average high school," she laughed gently. "Mind I ask, are you 16 or 17? I'm 16 myself but my birthday is coming up rather soon."

"Pleasure to meet you as well, October." She said, offering half a smile. It seemed as if she found herself smiling more and more these days, which wasn't necessarily a bad thing, just unusual for the young princess. She found herself enjoying the company of the younger girls, and offered some words of wisdom to October as she mentioned her lack of confidence. "A great woman is always willing to be little. Or rather... It's okay to ask for help, for it proves you are smart and open-minded."
As the conversation turned to their age, Levy realized that perhaps these girls were not much younger than she had originally thought. "Yes, I'm a junior, and I am seventeen. Why is it that you were enrolled as a freshman, though? Is it because it is your first year here at the academy?" Feiyimei That's alright! Like Fei said, it happens c:

Finding the dining hall this time was much easier than last. When he entered the hall he notice everyone in formal attire. A lot was different by race, but he did notice the humans who wore something similar to him. Gently tugging at his shirt, he walked towards the table where he noticed the staff to gather. Most of the staff was seated on one side, and so he walked around the table to sit in front of them. "Hello. Might I sit with you four?" he asked. "Also, I hate to be a burden, but does anyone here know how to wear this?" he said as he held up the thing called a tie. Schedule Day Shift Night Shift Lunch Dinner

We're the adults, and especially on big events we have to keep a close watch on them." He motioned for Izromos to come by him. "Here, I've got you. Ties are tricky."He hung the tie loosely around Izromos's neck, passing it over and under until it formed a neat double windsor. Once he'd finished, he left it hanging a few inches below Izromos's collarbone. "There you are. Tighten it as you like," Mathieu said, making the motion of tightening his own tie so that Izromos could copy. "All settled in?" he asked, sitting back down in his chair and scooting in. He scooped a small helping of potatoes and vegetable stew onto his plate, breaking off a piece of bread as well. Maeza thought for a few moments, collecting her thoughts to answer Kenton's question. How did one describe Tom?...Finally, she answered, speaking slowly. "Above all, he's rather immature. He enjoys messing with people. But under that care-free demeanor he hides a lonely person. He doesn't get along with his parents and I think he's lonely." That's all she could really say on that topic.
"It varies person to person, really, but that's like everywhere. There was a ghost here last year, but I think she's gone now. You've heard about the attack and probably read about it. Last year the staff kept a secret from us, or tried to. Sherlock, Thomas and I we able to get some information, but...it's not a pleasant topic, Maeza replied.
