At first, when she noticed the thin line forming on his face Ana worried, she thought that maybe she had done something wrong. But once the teasing tone came into his voice, she relaxed and gave him a small, unsure smile that once again never reached her eyes. Walking with him at a slow pace, she got into the car and said nothing as the two drove in silence. When they arrived, she walked in ahead of him, looking around at the familiar surroundings. Hearing Aaron, Ana turned and nodded at him. She watched as he retreated into his bedroom before she turned back to the kitchen. It was so quiet in the house, that as she passed the bedroom door, she heard Aaron's light wince. Turning she walked in and watched as he struggled to peel the shirt off his body. Her eyes went wide, her hand flew to her mouth when she was granted the full picture of Aaron's wounds. Biting back the urge to just yell, scream and cry, Ana quietly walked in behind him and helped him pulled the shirt over his head "I'm gonna have to look at those later" she said as she faced his back. Ana had never seen so many fresh wounds on Aaron before, sure he'd told her a few times before that he'd gotten wounds from working as a cop, but even then there wasn't anything this bad. Still facing his back, Ana said quietly "I'm gonna try and make some dinner. After we'll have a look at those wounds" she said as she watched him turn to face her.
She smiled up at him, she wasn't quite sure what say, much less what to do. She felt like she was miles away from Aaron, even though he was standing right here in front of her, within arms reach. Maybe that was her own fault. She'd refused him so many times, hurt him each time she had refused to see him. Made him think she blamed him for everything. What kind of person did that? And to someone they loved? Ana felt nothing but regret, she let her arms drop to her sides as she let her gaze fall to the front of his shirt "Aaron..." she started, biting back the need to explode and pass out for the sheer need to let out all of her tears "I just want you to know that...." she said once more. Getting angry with herself, she forced her gaze up into his. She felt her heart stop for a beat, they way he looked at her, listening so careful, wanting to make sure he was there to let her know she wasn't alone. Ana was certain she would just start crying right then and there. She swallowed hard "I never blamed you for being in there... I know it's not your fault. You did everything you could from your end. I just want you to know that I never, for a second, doubted you were trying you're very best and very hardest to get me home... You did what you could... Something no one would ever do for me. Not even my own mother. Thank you" she said, wishing she could start over, come here and find Aaron instead of let Logan get her all mixed up in his messes. She hoped that looking him in the eyes, he would be able to see what she was saying, and maybe even how she felt about this whole mess.
Logan couldn't help the low, baritone chuckle that vibrated out of his throat when she asked him the simple question of what he wanted to do today. Pondering it though, he let out a low hmmm as he pretended to actually be thinking of what he wanted to do today. Looking once again back to Sam, he shrugged and grinned like a mad man "Anything that would make you happy" he said as he leaned down to kiss her. The thing with Logan was that, when it came to Sam, he was the most selfless man, caring only for her needs and wants, not once thinking about himself. All that mattered was the woman who lay before him, naked and beautifully stretched out on top of him in the most comforting manner. Before Sam, Logan would have never slept with a woman in his bed. Normally, once the act was done, he leave the girl sprawled out naked and go back to wherever he was staying at the time. The only other woman who had shared the same bed with him for longer than a few hours had been Ana. He never really knew what it felt like to need someone until he met Ana, but with Sam, he not only needed her, but he had to have her. It was like if Sam left, Logan would be empty, he'd never be able to be with another woman in his life.

Aaron sighed softly as he slipped one arm and then other through the sleeve of his shirt, and then to tug it over his head to place down over his torso. However, he was interrupted by a helping hand. Ana's. Aaron turned his head around, not his body, and saw her tugging on his shirt to help him. Damn. Aaron got caught. In silence, he let her help him and listened as she avoided yelling at him for this. He could tell in her voice that she wanted to say something, but thought best to ignore it. When Aaron had a changed shirt, he turned himself around and finally faced Ana. He listened to what she said and took a deep breath. She must've picked up on that eventually, but sooner than he had expected. "Ana--" but she continued, saying how she never doubted him. "I want to say that I'm the same guy that you said goodbye to two weeks ago, but, honestly, I'm not. Yes, he's still in here somewhere, but he also has a.. darker side now. I cage fight, I'm not a detective anymore, and, quite frankly, I'm broken. James refuses to talk to me unless I get my s**t together, and I don't even have a educational background for the other job. I bullshitted on the other resume." Aaron let out deep breath. He wasn't mad at her, but he didn't want her to expect that everything was the same. He can't go beyond limits of the law to find Logan, because if he does, he could be sentenced jail. Of course he would go to jail for Ana, but only after he catches Logan. He can't be behind bars and try to get Logan at the same time.
Sam pursed her lips cutely when Logan had said that they would do whatever made Sam happy for today's activities. Logan was so sweet to her, it made Sam feel like she couldn't do much. Logan does the money, he does the heavy work, he cooks for her often, and he always tends to her needs. All Sam could do was sing for him, and, well, be a great sex partner. Either way, Sam didn't feel like she was doing much for Logan. So, shaking her head, but keeping a grin on her face, Sam brushed her lips against Logan's and said, "No, sir, it's your day. We're doin' whatever you want." Leaning down, Sam pressed her lips against Logan's firmly before pulling back with a huge, toothy grin. "But there is one thing you should know about me.." said Sam, still hovering over Logan with soft features. After a pause, she continued, "I'm hungry." Grinning smugly again, Sam kissed Logan once again and got off of him. She sat on the edge of the bed and wrapped a sheet around her body. "I'm gonna take a shower," announced Sam, but paused at the doorway to turn towards Logan, "And the shower is open for anyone who wants to join." With a bite of her lip, Sam slipped into the bathroom.O O C Aaron's outfit | Samantha's outfit | Aaron's car

After listening to Aaron, Ana's hands, head and heart dropped, she nodded and patted him softly on the chest "I'm going to make dinner" she said as she walked out. Heading into the kitchen Ana busied herself by taking on the task of cooking dinner for Aaron, if he was going to get better he was gonna have to start eating better. Reaching over, Ana turned on the radio as she pulled her hair up into a bun as she turned to the stove. She started ti sign along with the song that came on, smiling a little as she placed a pot over the stove, letting the task distract her from her worries. Ana was so into it, that she completely forgot about all the past events, she was just in Aaron's kitchen, making him dinner as she danced a little and sang along with the words, her hands doing whatever. Once Ana was finished, she turned off the stove and turned to grab a plate, she set the table for one, humming along this time instead of signing along. Once everything was set, she went over and put everything on the plate neatly, grabbing a glass and pouring some wine. Grinning she wiped her hands on the towel before she walked around looking for Aaron, finding him in the living room on the couch. She slowly walked over, her grin fading "Dinner's ready. It's on the table, you might want to go before it gets cold" she said as she looked down at her hands "I'm gonna go for a shower" she said very softly before she turned and headed for the bathroom.
Stripping down, Ana stepped into the shower and turned it on. She let out a sigh of pleasure. She had missed having amazing water pressure, and of course Aaron still had the body he'd bought her, untouched. Lifting the small bottle, she popped the top and breathed in the scent of vanilla and strawberries. Somehow, it was the small things that were making her happy. The body wash left as it had been before she'd left, cooking dinner for the man she loved, showering in the shower that was perfect. Ana grinned once more as she placed some of the body wash onto her purple loofah before she scrubbed her body. Once Ana deemed herself throughly clean, she shut off the water and stepped out of the shower, wrapping a towel in her hair and one around her body before stepping into Aaron's room. Ana dried herself off and grabbed some of her clothes, slipping them on before Aaron walked in and spotted her nude, not that he hadn't seen her naked a thousand times before, but something was different now, and she just didn't feel comfortable. Once she was fully dressed, she fixed her wet hair and stepped out of the room. Looking into the kitchen, she saw Aaron, she didn't look at his plate, not really wanting to know if he ate or didn't. She walked in and cleared her throat "I've got go and get some things sorted out with Morelli" she said stepping closer to the table. Placing a piece of paper down, she pushed it towards Aaron "The address of the station" she said with a shrug "In case you wanted to go and have a look around" she said as she removed her hand so he could take it if he wanted.
Hearing her say that it was his day and there was no way out of it, he pouted after she backed away from the kiss "Guess there's no way out of this one" he said as he watched her stand and claim she wanted to have a shower. He watched her and his sheet walking towards the door, when she turned around, handing out and invitation. Logan grinned and was off the bed not even ten seconds after the words had come from her lips. He reached her in seconds and yanked the sheet away "You probably won't need that" he said as he tossed it behind him and grabbed her around the waist. Instead of a bath though, Logan started a bath for them, seeing as the tub was bigger than the one from his loft and fit two people easily. Stepping in, he closed his eyes as he leaned his head back and let out a relaxed sigh, his muscles relaxing under the hot water and bubbles he had added for Sam. Even though Logan had been rich, he'd never had time for relaxing like this. Baths were a luxury he couldn't afford due to the fact that Logan could sit in a tub for an hour straight. With all the worrying he always did, baths were like the one thing that took them all away. Logan's cheeks were starting to tingle from the grin that had been on his face since Sam had asked if he wanted to join her in the shower, although they weren't really in the shower. Logan slowly opened his eyes and looked at Sam "You did say that I got to chose what we do today" he said, his grin bright and boyish in ways. The scent of lavender and jasmine from the bubbles was amazing, he'd never thought he'd ever enjoy bubbles in the bath, but the scent was very relaxing, and it just added to the fact that he was actually able to enjoy some peace and not have to be in a hurry.

Aaron watched as Ana didn't say anything back besides that she was going to make dinner. Though it seemed as if he was walking towards the living room, he paused at the doorway of the kitchen and watched Ana. She was dancing around, singing, smiling, having fun. Aaron remembered when he and Ana were cooking dinner together once, in sync, like as if it was meant to be. He wrapped his arms around his chest and felt a smile approach on his face, content to see Ana at such a happy state, even if Aaron brought her nothing but sadness. Aaron noticed the shift of mood when she came into the living room, when Aaron was there, to tell him of dinner. He had also noticed the one setting and that Ana was going to shower instead of have dinner with him. Not in the mood to eat, Aaron just left the kitchen when Ana did, not bothering with the food. There was no point. He could feel his anger boil. He felt like a ticking time bomb. He felt like he was going to snap any moment. If only he could channel this anger and use it later in the fight. Aaron managed to calm himself down eventually when Ana came back out, handing him the paper of the address. "Thanks," said Aaron, noticing the monotone of Ana's voice as she did this. And soon, she was gone.
Aaron didn't go to the address, he didn't call the station, and he sure as hell wasn't at the house now. Instead, he was at the area that he showed Ana earlier. Instead of being empty, all the seats were taken and there were plenty of people who was surrounding the cage. It was loud, there were shouting, there were threats. But Aaron made it here since he won thus far, and believed that he could continue to win. In fact, if he gets the winning money, he could buy a big house for he and Ana. He could buy whoever is on Ana's back. He could buy her whatever he wanted. When stepping into the cage, he was dressed in trunks and that was it. No shirt, boxing gloves, and trunks. The other man was just as equally buff as Aaron and as soon as the bell rang, the other guy got the first hit. Trapped, Aaron had to accept the first few blows. Soon, a kick was placed at Aaron's stomach but before the kick could come back, Aaron grabbed the leg and threw a punch to the opponent's side.
Sam quickly turned around when she felt the sheet that was once wrapped around her yanked free. Her exposing body close to Logan's, it was a sight that she loved. She heard his seductive tone inform her that she probably won't need the sheet, and heard the soft 'woosh' as Logan threw it behind him. A giggle came from Sam's lips before Logan was soon in the bath. Sam can't remember the last time she was this happy. When she was so content with life and she wanted to be with a man constantly. It was like she and Logan couldn't get their hands off of each other. Sam never had the taste of the rich life and now that she did, she doesn't want to go back. In fact, she loved how badass Logan is. Just the thought of him being all tough when he's not around her just gives her chills. It was like dating a male actor in an action movie. He looked the part. Logan made a comment saying how Sam did say that they were to do whatever Logan wanted to do, referring for her to join him for a bath, not a shower. Sam let her grin broaden as she stepped inside the bubbled bath and slowly walked towards Logan, the water nearly at her waist. Instead of sitting beside him, she sat on his lap, straddling him while her hands were on his shoulder. "I guess I did say that, didn't I, fiancé?" asked Sam, reaching her hands behind his head to rake her nails through his short locks. "Well, like I said, it's your day. I'm all yours," whispered Sam against Logan's lips with a smirk.O O C Aaron's outfit | Samantha's outfit | Aaron's car

With a nod, Ana noticed that Aaron hadn't even touched his food. She turned and headed for the door. Stepping out, she lightly closed the door behind her before walking over to the sidewalk. Ana walked the whole way from Aaron's house to the station. She no longer had a car and she wasn't going to ask Aaron for his. Walking inside, she was taken to Morelli's office in which she was seated waiting for the head detective to arrive. "Welcome back Miss Steele" Morelli said as he stepped into the room. Ana put on her best smile before saying "Always a pleasure", tossing her hair as she watched the older male sit down in front of her behind his desk. Ana listened as Morelli explained that they couldn't find traces of Logan anywhere. She nodded as he spoke and considered all of his possibilities, knowing he was doing is best as a detective who knew little on his subject. "While I agree with few of those conspiracy's. I think Logan's gone somewhere he thinks that he and Sam will be safe" she said with a sigh "Only problem is I know of four places that Logan has of such nature" she said with regret as she tried to think "We'll have to take them one by one.. If we're lucky, Logan thinks I'm still in jail, so I'm no threat. But, nevertheless, he's smart and he won't be caught so easily, even in his own places of safety, he's got back up" she said as she straightened. After a good half hour, Morelli and Ana shook hands before she was allowed to walk out.
Ana stepped foot out of the station and took a deep, satisfying breath of fresh air. Morelli had been nice enough to give her a coffee to keep her going, which was just what she had needed. Turning, Ana headed back for Aaron's house, she was going to need a few things before she went anywhere else, permitted of course if Aaron wanted her to leave and not stay with him, which she wouldn't blame him if he did. But, once Ana had walked up to the house and noticed the car gone, she sighed. There was only one place Aaron would go at a time like this. Looking at the phone she'd bought, she searched through her contacts list. Ana had synced up all her old information onto the new phone, keeping the same number for all of her old friends to be able to contact her. Although she wasn't so sure they would after she'd been thrown in jail. Hearing Aaron's voice mail pick up, she hung up and was about to dial again when her phone rang. When Ana saw the number she froze, she hadn't seen this number in years. Swallowing hard, Ana hit the talk button before placing the phone to her ear "Yes?" she said in a childish voice. Hearing the person talk, she nodded as if they were her boss and she had to obey no matter what. Once the person on the other end had finished talking, she nodded once more "Okay.. I've got a few things I need to take care of first, but I'll find you as soon as I can... Just uhhh..." she said placing a hand on her forehead, closing her eyes as she tried to think of a place for the person to stay. With a sigh of annoyance, she opened her eyes "Stay at the hardlake cafe, it should be just around the corner from the location you gave me. I'll be there in an hour.. I'm not sure.. Just stay there till I get there" she said softly.
Ana waited patiently for the person to hang before she turned on her heels and started for the gym she knew Aaron would be fighting at. When Ana arrived, she was tired and her feet ached from all the walking and lack of proper walking shoes. She could hear the oar of the crowd from outside. She shivered lightly and looked through the doors as they opened, barely able to see anything but swarms of bodies rustling about. Clearing her mind, she headed for the door and walked in. At first, Ana had no idea where to go. There were so many people inside, she could barely see anything, just bodies surrounding more bodies. Once she found her way, Ana was able to push past people with ease, heading straight for the front. Ana took a seat and turned in time to see Aaron step inside with another man roughly his size. Eyes wide, she waited, her heart racing once the bell rang. With every hit Aaron took, Ana felt her heart ache and break little by little. She jumped up when he got the other man in the side, but had to sit back down when the people behind hr started to complain. She was sitting on the edge of her seat, eyes glued to Aaron the whole time, praying that he would come out of the cage in which he stood inside, alive. It was hard for Ana to watch as Aaron suffered so many blows, she bit her lip and felt tears sting her eyes, unable to wipe them before they fell from her eyes. She knew the extent of Aaron's wounds, and now they were about to become worse, and multiply. Seeing Aaron she stood again "AARON!" she called out in warning 'Look out! Please! AARON!' her mind screamed as she watched the other male advance on him, her eyes unable too look away even though her heart ached and her tears blurred her vision so much she only saw face for a split second before they turned into colorful, blurred outlines.
Every time Logan heard the word Fiancé, his heart jumped and his grin grew four sizes. He loved that Sam loved calling him her fiancé, it was just something about the way in which she said it and what the word meant. After she said she was all his, he pressed his lips to her in a soft kiss "Hmmm, what ever shall I do with you" he said through his grin as he wrapped his arms around her. Logan pulled her as close to him as he possibly could, not wanting there to be space between him and her. Rested his chin on the top of her head, he took in a deep breath, letting it out in a slow sigh "We should clean up" he said as he grabbed for the soap. Once he and Sam were out of the shower, Logan pulled on a pair of sweats and headed for the kitchen with Sam. Pulling out a stool for her, he walked around the table to the stove. "I want blueberry pancakes" he said as he pulled out the ingredients as he started to make the batter.Placing the batter on the hot frying pan, he turned to Sam with a grin "A little? Or a handful?" he asked her in a boyish tone. The reason Logan was asking was because that was what his father used to ask him when he was a child. Every weekend, when his father wasn't working, he would make Logan blueberry pancakes. The older male would always ask him if he wanted a little or a handful of blueberries in his pancakes. Logan never really remember much about his parents, probably because he had never really thought about how kind and caring they had been. He'd never realized how much they had done for him. Logan only remember a few things here and there about his mother and father, like the pancakes. He probably remembered this because it was one of the founder memories he shared solely with his father, one that the two shared alone.

Aaron hasn't noticed Ana entering the place. In fact, all he could focus his eyes on was the man before him. He was a challenge, definitely knew what he was doing. In fact, Aaron had noticed the way he twisted his wrist before striking Aaron that the opponent knew some mix martial arts. It wasn't illegal or against the rules here, considering that people just wanted a good fight and see blood and tooth and nail. Aaron had his advantages too. He grew up on the streets, survived many hits from his dad, and gone dark side briefly in his life. 'I'd rather feel nothing,' admitted young Aaron. 'It's better. It's easier.' Aaron remembered this quote, and remembered all the things he had survived and raised his fists back to protect his face. The opposite opponent laughed bitterly, seeing how he barely looked hurt compared to Aaron. Aaron's exposing chest and back was revealing all the wounds from his previous fights. "Might want to take it easy, buddy," said the other man before striking his right fist against Aaron's left cheek. The crowd cheered with the punch, but the man, and Aaron, had heard Aaron's name called in the audience. With a smirk, the man spun, pulled his leg up, and round-house kicked Aaron on the face. This knocked Aaron to the ground with the sound of his body slamming against the mat and the 'oohs' of the crowd. "Want to tell your b***h to shut up, dude?"
Aaron pushed against the mat, lifting himself up. Spitting, Aaron let a mouthful of blood splatter against the ground underneath him. Just before he could get up to his feet, Aaron was kicked right in the stomach, causing him to flip over and land on his back. Another hiss of pain came from the crowd, showing how they knew that the kick and the body slam against the mat must've hurt. Well, not at much as the kick to the face. Aaron finally glared at the man, hatred boiling inside of him because his opponent called Ana a b***h. Aaron knew it was her. He recognize her voice anywhere. So, flipping onto his feet, Aaron faced the man who was across the mat, cocky at his almost win. Running and then leaping in the air, this was followed by Aaron colliding his fist against the man's face, a brutal punch with a force greater than Aaron could beyond achieve. Perhaps it was the adrenaline pumping through his veins, but Aaron took it all in that punch. And one hit in the jaw, the man went down. "Knocked out!" Aaron heard, seeing his opponent on the ground, passed out from the impact of the punch easily. But, now that he's having a break to breathe, his breath got caught in his lungs and Aaron fell to his knees, gripping his ribcage.
While Logan's partner was in a crisis, Sam was here, enjoying Logan's company. She never thought that she would ever settle down again. Well, she believed that she would find another guy, date him for a long time, and face the fact that he may propose eventually. But Sam believed that she would have a good reason to reject that man and set him down easy to let him know of her last engagement. But with Logan, Sam knew what she wanted. She knew that she wanted to say yes. The moment that she saw the ring and heard the question, Sam knew that she wanted to spend her life with Logan. That she wanted to have kids with him. That she wanted to his forever. She was his to claim. When Logan had said that they should clean up, Sam had to agree. After a few rounds of sex, a bath was a little overdue. However, didn't shy away the fact that Sam loved it. She loved how Logan gripped her tight all the time, embracing her as if it was the last hug, and telling her everything that was on his mind.
In the kitchen, Sam sat at the counter, smiling and watching Logan happily cook pancakes. "Handful," said Sam, as if it was obvious, laughing. There was a brief pause of silence, except for the batter of the pancakes being whisked, but there wasn't anything being said. But Sam's immediate reaction went to her singing. Recently, under Logan's radar, Sam's been composing some of her own lyrics. She's been writing her own songs and adding melodies to them. It was a work in process, but she started to try to figure out how she should sing her lyrics. Almost as if she didn't realize it, Sam started to sing one of her songs from near the middle. "I follow the sign so clearly and still I fall in. The quicksand is pulling me down." Sam looked down at her feet, muttering the last sentence over as she thought that the beat she sang didn't fit.O O C Aaron's outfit | Samantha's outfit | Aaron's car

Watching closely, Ana winced every time Aaron took a hit, almost as if she were the one in the cage and not him. Watching took more out of her than she thought possible. She couldn't take much more of this, she was going to die if she had to watch Aaron get hit one more time. Luckily, Aaron managed to get up and lunge right at his opponent, taking the other man down with a single punch. Relief washed over Ana for a moment, until of course Aaron dropped to his knees. Rushing over, she pushed pass people and shoved her way to the front of the cage. After arguing with the male holding the keys to the door, he opened them and she rushed in and over to Aaron's side. Ana check his pulse and relaxed a little, he was still alive which was good, checking too see if he was breathing, she shook her head, he was breathing, but he his breath was very faint. When the medics arrived, she explained how his breath was faint and she followed them out of the cage, watching another team rush towards the other guy. Ana followed as the team lead Aaron into a cold room. They worked on him as best they could before apologizing and telling her she should take him to the hospital. Ana nearly jumped and attacked the medics, but someone held her back. Ana assumed he was the coach.
Turning to the man, she turned to look at Aaron, her anger vanishing as regret and guilt took over. She blamed herself for this mess. "This is all my fault... I should have kept him closer... I should have taken better care of him" she cried as she fell to the floor and curled up. She felt someone yank her to her feet "Look her miss. He needs to get to the hospital, pronto. Stop waisting time on tears and get him help" the male said. Ana was taken aback, but she swiped at her tears and nodded with determination. The man had been nice enough to help Ana find Aaron's keys, and he even placed Aaron in the passenger seat. Driving like a mad woman, Ana reach the hospital in record time and got Aaron into an emergency room. Ana paced back and forth as she waited for some news from the doctor. She could feel her own head start to pound from the need for rest and food, but she ignored both. Ana instead got herself a coffee with some of the change Aaron had in his wallet, she would replace the change once she could. Drinking away, she paced until a doctor came out.
Ana listened as the doctor explained that, although Aaron's condition had been fatal, they'd stopped the bleeding and fixed his lungs. With a sigh of relief, Ana thanked the doctor. Turned out the kick had broke one of Aaron's ribs, but it had punctured his lung, causing him to choke and pass out. The doctor said he was lucky that Ana hadn't shook him or tried to wake him. He said if the bone had moved, that he wasn't so sure Aaron would have made it. Watching the doctor walk off, Ana stopped outside Aaron's room. Looking inside through the glass, she could see that he was asleep. Grabbing the door knob, she turned it and stepped inside the room, lightly closing the door behind her. The doctor said Aaron needed to rest, and he would have to stay in a hospital for a few days. Ana pulled up a chair and sat beside Aaron's bed, she looked him over and felt bile rise in her throat. She could taste the guilt in it. Maybe if Ana hadn't push Aaron so far away he wouldn't have got so hurt. Maybe if Ana had done a better job of loving him and making him feel loved. Maybe if Ana hadn't been so damned weak she could have done something, changed herself to be better. With a profanities spoken under her breath towards herself and her foolish acts, she mentally beat herself up for this. If Ana had never talked to him that first night, if she hadn't led him on, maybe he wouldn't be laying in the hospital bed, more broken than she thought possible. Ana rested her head in her hands, her hair falling over her face as she felt the weight of what she had done bare down on her shoulders. She cried then, letting it all out while she could. Once she felt there was nothing left in her, she wiped away the evidence and turned to Aaron. Ana downed the coffee and sat in the chair, gaze fixed on Aaron, not wanting to leave until he woke up. Ana was scared that if she left something terrible would happen, and even if it did sound crazy, she just couldn't bare the though of anything else happening to the man she loved so much. Her heart had suffered something she never thought it would again. Ana was so drained, she knew she looked like she had been through hell and back a thousand times. It felt like she was back in the cafe, getting the call to inform that her grandmother had passed. It was like she was going to lose everything, the glue was going to come undone if someone so much as said the wrong thing to her.
With a nod, he grinned before taking a handful of blueberries and tossing them onto the pancake. As Logan cooked breakfast, he could her Sam singing something. He knew she was trying to piece together a song, he'd often hear little parts of it, although he was never able to tell what part of the song it was exactly. Listening, he smiled and placed the finished pancake on the plate as he started another "Sounds good" he said as he placed the blueberries on the new pancake. He could hear her contemplating with herself about the melody and he just wanted to reassure her that she knew what she was doing. Logan wasn't an expert at music or anything, but he liked it when Sam asked him about these things, it made him feel like he was part of her entire world, not just the happy and loving part. Placing another pancake on the place, he shut of the stove and turning, he placed the plate of pancakes on the table top "Maybe you just need to take some time and think by yourself?" he suggested. Logan often found that when he needed to really think on something, the best way to do it was alone. He had places to do it too, knowing there were just somethings people had to think on with quiet and without distractions. Grabbing a pancake, he ripped off a piece and stuffed it into his mouth with a satisfied grin "I know just the place, I'll show you after breakfast" he said as he settled down into a chair. Eating his pancakes, he turned to Sam "What's the song about?" he asked curiously. Logan knew nothing about songs, but he wanted to know what Sam's was about, maybe he could help her, not that he thought he could, considering he did poorly on the subject of music, unless it was listening to Sam, then he was an expert.

Aaron was passed out just as quick as he was prepared for the fight. As soon as his breathing became uneven, the weight of the impact of his marks took control and Aaron was left to fall unconscious. Either way, he couldn't remember much, but he did remember what he saw when he was passed out. He remembered when he and Ana were cooking, working together as a team. They were almost in sync as they gracefully dodged the other, perfectly making dinner in the process of them laughing. Aaron then fell back further to the first night that Ana spent the night. When Aaron had grabbed Ana, pulled her on his lap, and mauled her lips with his own. The first night they were intimate with one another. The following memory made everything seemed so long ago since the next one was of Aaron and Ana, when they first met at the bar. Aaron walking up to her while she was dressed in a sexy cocktail dress and he was there in a tux. James Bond couple, almost. After that, there was one more memory, and Aaron had forgotten about it. He was dreaming of the good memories of his past. The great things that had happened. However, the next one was one that took Aaron back twenty years. No. More. Aaron saw a cradle and his hands, short and fat, and that was it. Until the memory of his mom and his dad cooing at him over the cradle. They were smiling at him, as if they were normal parents, and briefly, if Aaron wasn't passed out, he would've cried.
Aaron heard that he was going to be days until he was released, but still couldn't bring himself to open his eyes. Not that he didn't want to, but it just wasn't physically possible. His mental state was awake, but physically, his body wanted to shut down. Aaron hadn't intended on getting hurt badly, but he knew that there were costs. At least he won, and he can gather his reward. But as soon as Aaron heard Ana crying, Aaron knew that he had to wake up. He had to open his eyes, even if it was briefly, and show her that he's fine. That he's alive. His eyes refused. His fingers responded lightly, twitching occasionally but Ana hadn't noticed. So, waiting until Ana placed her hand on the bed beside Aaron, he reached his hand up and rested it against Ana's top of her hand. His eyes remained closed, but his mental state was listening. He was fine. He wanted to scream it from the rooftops to make Ana happy. But his body was too far gone to listen.
Sam looked up when Logan had complimented on her work thus far. Sure, Sam had sang on stage, but when it came to her composing music, she had thought that she would horribly embarrassed. But when it was with Logan, she didn't feel the slight red hue show on her cheeks. She was happy, she was glad, she was open. It was nice to have an honest opinion. Sure, they were dating, and now engaged, and the nice thing to do is compliment her work all the time. But with Logan, if he felt as if there was something that needed help, she would hear his subtle footnotes. And the parts that he critics are the sections that even Sam felt uneven about. Logan never hurt her by telling her how he felt, or giving her suggestions. In fact, she felt honored that Logan was helping her. Sure, Sam doesn't have her job at the bar anymore, but at least she can still do something that she's passionate about.
When the breakfast was ready and they were both sitting at the table, Sam had her legs on the chair with the rest of her body. One leg laid down crossed while the other leg was against her chest, close to her. While she ate, her long, brown hair was in a glorious mess that took the sun from her hair. One by one bite, Sam ate the blueberry pancakes, in love with Logan's cooking. "I might just have you be the cook in this relationships," confessed Sam with a smile at Logan across the table. Hearing his question about the Sam, an even bigger smile came across her face. She loved talking about her music, and it felt like she kept it in. "It's about me falling hard for someone. ... you." Sam knew it was silly, and she knew that it was common, but it was the truth. "Sometimes it's easier to write how you feel than to say it," admitted Sam as she tilted her head. "So, uh, where is this place you speak of?" asked Sam, her plate to be found empty. O O C Aaron's outfit | Samantha's outfit | Aaron's car

After a while, Ana couldn't bare to be awake anymore. Resting her head, she closed her eyes and tried to think of happier times. Ana was so deep in thought she could almost feel Aaron's hand softly caressing her head. After a while, she noticed that she wasn't imagining it. She slowly lifted her head and looked over at Aaron, he was still asleep, maybe he was just dreaming. Slowly getting up, Ana moved into the bed beside him, slowly and very carefully wrapping his arm around her. Ana rested her head against the pillow beside Aaron's, looking at his face. He looked so peaceful despite the fact that he'd suffered several blows and such. Ana knew eventually the doctor would come in with an officer to question her on how Aaron came to get these wounds, but she didn't let it bother her right now. Leaning up, she pressed her lips to Aaron's temple softly "I'm here... I'm right here" she said softly as she held his hand in her softly. Ana was afraid she'd hurt him if she so much as squeezed his hand. Closing her eyes, she listened to the sounds coming from outside the door. She could hear doctors rushing back and forth, nurses talking and the many noises a hospital often had "I love you, good night Aaron" she said sleepily as she slowly drifted off into a deep sleep.
Logan listened to Sam and smiled, so she really did enjoy it when he gave her feed back. His grin only grew when he came to know the origin of the song, hearing her say sometimes it was easier to express herself through song. His grin softened to a loving smile "I can't wait to hear it" he said. Once they were done, Logan nodded "Right this way, I just need to grab something real quick off one of the shelves in one of the rooms". Walking past Sam, he led the way into a room with shelves that aligned each wall from floor to ceiling. Books covered every inch of every shelf. Walking into the middle of the room, Logan plucked a book off the shelf and casually walked back to Sam, showing her the book. The name read Naked in Death'. Logan chuckled and shook his head softly "Sounds dirty, but it's a crime book. Female hero, I quite enjoy it. The whole series is here, it's one of the things that I had to have once I could afford all of them" he said with a shake of his head. Logan was a bit of a bookworm, not as much as Ana was when she wanted to be, but he had his moments. Wrapping his arm around Sam's waist, he turned to her "Shall we?" he asked before bending to give her a kiss. Once their lips parted, Logan turned and started to lead the way "You're welcome to read anything from in there, it's open all the time" he said softly.
Leading Sam through a hall, he stopped and opened a door that led outside. Letting her go first, he slowly shut the door and took her head. He walked up a small hill and there was a hammock and chairs, a small fire pit and trees to provide shade. He smiled "Hammocks mine" he whispered in her ear before he collapsed into the hammock. With a sigh, he stretched out and motioned Sam to come and lay with him. It was a great day to be out, there was a nice breeze and the sun was shining as bright as Logan thought it possibly could. Wrapping his arms half way around Sam, he lifted the book and opened it to the first page. After a few pages though, Logan could feel his eye lids start to lower. Blinking a few times, he yawned and rubbed at his eyes "Seems like I'll always manage to fall asleep on this thing" he said. When Logan had first bought this place, the owners had taken their hammock. Noticing where the old one had been, the decorators Logan paid had put one in its place. Logan never thought it would be a good idea until one day. Logan was still young at the time, maybe eighteen, nineteen at the time. He'd decided to test out the hammock, both for run and just to see if there was any reason for it. As soon as Logan lay in the hammock, he stared up at the sky and had fallen asleep faster than ever. He assumed it was because of the fact that he was swaying, but he didn't really care much. Turning to Sam, he closed his eyes softly "I got this place when I was about nineteen" he said "The owners had a hammock, but they had taken it with them. When my decorators came to decorate, they put one in its place. The first time I lay in it, I was out like a light two minutes after" he said "I can never manage to stay awake long on this thing" he said with a chuckle as he opened his eyes to look at her. Logan lifted his hand to cup her face, his thumb stroking across her dimples "And now with you.. It's like the universe is telling me it's okay to rest for a while... Because you're here" he said before softly kissing her. Logan lay back again, his eyes closing "Sing to me?" he asked in a child like plea.

A long beep was heard after Ana had drifted off to sleep. Aaron didn't know what it was. He just.. stopped. His heart monitor told them that he was unresponsive, and that he may be dead. Aaron didn't look so content anymore. In fact, he looked.. gone. The loud alarms resulted in doctors and nurses rushing in, slamming the door on the wall in the process. A dead heart could easily be revived, but they had limited time. They needed to try to bring Aaron back quickly. "Miss, we're gonna need you to step away from the bed," said one of the doctors, preparing Aaron. They pulled the blanket further down Aaron's lap, so they had more access to his chest which was draped with a hospital gown. Aaron always ironically said that if he were to ever trapped in a hospital, he didn't want to wear something that someone died in the day before. Now, he was in one. The doctor grabbed the external defibrillators in an attempt to shock Aaron back to life. Ripping the gown off of Aaron's chest to expose skin, the female nurse then stood back to allow the doctor some room. "Clear!" shouted the doctor before pressing the pads to each sides of Aaron's chest and then letting the shock arch Aaron's back off of the mattress.
But still, the noise continued. A hesitated groan was heard from the doctor as he became to stress. Hopefully second round would help. "Clear!" shouted the doctor, pressing the pads on Aaron's chest once more and watching as the shock lifted Aaron's back away from the bed a few inches. As soon as Aaron fell back on the chair, the heart monitor was responding. Instead of one, long beep, there was the multiple, long beats of his heart. Everything was back to normal. Well, Aaron was still knocked out from the brutal hits and kicks from earlier and previous fighting encounters. The doctor was relieved, and he let that show on his face. "He's fine," said the doctor to Ana, to reassure her after such a traumatic experience. With that, after checking the machines, the doctor and nurses left to let Ana and Aaron be alone. Aaron wasn't conscious now, so his mind wasn't telling him to open his eyelids.
Sam remembered a book she once had called, "Naked Heat," and was based off some cop show named, "Castle." Nonetheless, it was a great criminal book and she enjoyed it. The book that Logan had generously granted her provided her some of that memory and it brought such a warm, small smile on her face. Female hero was always the best, since the men seemed to come out as the protagonist in stories. Sam flipped the book over to the backside, to see if there was a glimpse of a story, but before her eyes brushed over any of the words, Logan had gestured towards the door in a form to hint towards the area that he told her earlier. Sam's eyes flicked from the door to Logan's once again, and a smile grew on her face instantly. She was still draped in shorts and a tanktop, but she didn't care. Willingly, Sam followed Logan toward outside, soaking up the sun as the rays hit her skin and breathing in that nature smell that she loved so much. With a bite of her lip, Sam continued to let Logan lead her towards where a hammock was. Most people would be baffled that a great place to think was this, but Sam understood. Quiet moment, swaying on a hammock, and taking in the present. It was something that even Sam wanted to enjoy when Logan invited her to join him.
Sam laid on the hammock with Logan, leaning against him as she felt his arms around her. She listened to his story behind this comfy chair, and nodded her head. "Wow. Nineteen? I wasn't sure about to make choices for myself until I was twenty one," admitted Sam, a small laugh followed. She loved how Logan liked explaining his past. The more he did so, the more she found out about him, and the more she found him lost in the past. Sam loved how he was so easy at pouring out words as if he was writing a poem expressing everything. Sam smiled when Logan had laid back down, closed his eyes, and asked for her to sing. She wanted to pick a peaceful song. One that could make Logan instantly fall asleep. So, she sang, 'A Drop in the Ocean,' by Ron Pope. It was nice, it was soothing, and as she sang, she started to rake her nails through Logan's locks to assure him to rest for a bit. "A drop in the ocean. A change in the weather. I was praying that you and me might end up together. It's like wishing for rain as I stand in the desert. But I'm holding you closer than most. Cause you are my heaven." Little did Sam know that the police station back at her home was now on a hunt for Logan now that they have the locations Ana granted them.O O C Aaron's outfit | Samantha's outfit | Aaron's car

Ana knew it was stupid to want to sleep, how could she after everything she had been through? But even so she thought that maybe she could get a proper nights sleep, and boy was she every wrong. When the nurses rushed in, followed by the doctor. Ana was woken by a nightmare, she threw herself off of the bed and watched as the doctor tried to bring Aaron back from the dead. Ana froze, she couldn't move, she couldn't think, she could hear anything, not even the steady beat of the monitor informing everyone in the room that Aaron was fine. Ana forgot how to breath, until the doctors backed away from Aaron and left the room. Still frozen, Ana tried to move, to breath, to do something, but she couldn't handle the pressure anymore, she couldn't take anymore of this. Aaron was stuck in the hospital bed, she was stuck here unable to do anything. Falling to her knees, Ana starred blankly at nothing. She kept replying each scene in her mind, over and over, trying to see where she'd gone wrong, where she'd caused his whole mess. Ana shock with fear, and guilt, she wanted nothing more than to give her life for Aaron's. Ana bit her lip so hard, she could taste the metallic, coppery taste of her blood as it dripped down her lip. Looking at her palms, she dug tiny holes into her hands with her nails. Ana swiped her hand across her face and rose. She slowly walked over to Aaron's beside and looked away, unable to see what she had done. "I'll be right back" she said before stepping from the room.
Ana closed the door softly behind her before walking into a more quiet room. Fishing out her newly bought cell phone, Ana hit the redial button and waited for the phone to ring. "Hello?..... Hi.... Yeah I was just busy with some stuff...... Yes, yes I know..... Look just.... I know bu-.... Mom can you just give me once second?!" Ana asked her mother angrily. The woman had left her to be beaten, and she'd never done a thing of Ana, and now she was yapping away like nothing in Ana's life was important. with a shake of her head, Ana rubbed her temples "I'm sorry mom.... I didn't mean to get mad.... I'm just under a lot right now and-.... Yes I understand.... Take a cab... I'm here at St. Alfred's hospital.. The cab driver will know.... Call when you get here" she said, knowing her mother could care less about why she was in a hospital, so long as she was able to help the woman, she really could care less about Ana's well being. Hanging up, Ana pocketed her phone and grabbed herself a coffee before heading back into Aaron's room. Sitting down on the chair, she was too afraid she would cause Aaron's heart to give out if she so much as rested her head on the bed, or brushed a hand near him. Ana leaned back in the chair and clutched the coffee cup as if it were a life support. She took a sip and kept her eyes glued to Aaron, knowing it was unlikely for him to wake, but she wanted to be here when he did. Ana was about to take another sip when the doctor came in and made her jump, spilling out coffee onto herself. Wincing, Ana set the cup down, and with a shaking hand, she grabbed a napkin and wiped herself down. While she got cleaned up, the doctor checked on Aaron and gave Ana a status update before telling her Aaron would most likely only be waking tomorrow. He explained how the stress of his heart giving out was enough to knock him out cold for the night. Nodding, Ana thanked the doctor and watched as he left the room before she turned and settled back down into the chair.
Sipping her coffee once more, Ana turned her attention fully back to Aaron. 'You did this to him... So take a hard long look.... He was the best thing that ever happened to you, and look how you repaid him..... You deserved everything that you got.... You father... Logan.... Even Marshal..... You deserved all of that.... But he never deserved this..... You made this happen.... You're a selfish b!tch and you're the reason he's in here..... You've only got yourself to blame Ana Clark Micheals..... So look on..... Paint the picture of the man who gave you everything.... If he doesn't make it... It's on you..... Just like when granny died....." she could hear the voice of her mother in her head, echoing into the warm parts of her mind and dropping them into ice. Lowering her head, Ana sipped the coffee, she felt cold, in fact she started to shiver despite the fact that the room was warmer than room temperature, and even as the coffee burn her throat, it was ice by the time it hit her stomach. Ana felt bile rising in her throat, she set the cup down and rushed to the trash can. She puked into the can, what little she ate during the day coming right back up. Ana wiped her mouth with the back of her hand before heading into the bathroom to wash out her mouth. She walked back to her coffee and downed it before tossing the empty cup. Ana was about to sit back down when she got a call, he mother was here. Ana sighed, taking a hard and very long look at Aaron, she nodded and turned to head out once more. Ana reached the front and paid for the cab with some of the money Aaron had in his wallet, she assumed it was from cage fighting. Once she had, she turned to her mother who looked her up and down "It looks like you're as ugly as you've always been and stupider" her mother said in a cold, clipped voice. Ana didn't say anything, she just nodded and gave her mom some money and a slip of paper with an address "Go here.. I've got a few things I've got to do and I'll come see you when I can" she said in a monotone voice. She didn't look her mother in the eyes, she just couldn't. Hearing her mother snort, she tried not to wince.
"And what do I do if I run out?" her mother asked. Ana sighed and gave her a little more money "Just...." Ana started, looking from the right word before she spoke again "Please be careful, I can't leave for a few days" she said, never once mentioning Aaron "Well at least you checked yourself in and got help for your mental problems.. Gosh you're so bloody annoying and retarded" her mother said before walking off to hail another cab. Ana watched as the cab peeled away from the curb before she turned and headed back to Aaron's room. It took everything Ana had not to force the doctors to take her lungs and give them to Aaron, she could handle it all, she blamed herself and she wasn't so sure that she could keep hurting Aaron like this, her mother.... Errrr..... The little voice in her head had been right, Aaron would have had a good life if she hadn't come and ripped everything away. Ana was a cold black hole, she sucked the happiness from his life and left pain and misery in it's place. Ana closed her eyes, if only she had died that day, so many years ago. It was the night her father had beat her so badly, she'd crawled to bed and bleed so much she had to go to the hospital. From there Ana was ready to give up, she didn't want to live anymore. She wanted to bleed out and never have to be scared of her father or feel like the worthless b!tch her mother was thought her to be. Even now as she watched Aaron's chest rise and fall slowly, she'd wished she'd cease to exist, wish she could erase herself from his mind and disappear into nothing, whilst he lived a great life with a woman who could truly care for him, keep him safe, make him feel loved. 'Saying isn't doing Ana' she thought to herself as she sat back down, she didn't dare sleep, her eyes stayed glue to Aaron, wide open as dark circles formed under them. But she kept them opened the entire night, never even thinking of sleep as something she had to do or she would eventually crash, all she knew was that she had to stay strong for Aaron.
Resting more comfortably into the hammock, Logan held Sam close, waiting for her to sing. When she started, Logan smiled, more like grinned as he listened to the soothing tone, knowing she was telling him it was alright for him to rest. He wasn't so sure if it was a good idea, but he knew that no one could harm them here. Trying his best to stay awake, Logan felt Sam run her fingers through his thick hair, shivers running down his spine. Sam knew just how to make him relax. Leaning into her hands, Logan let out a soothing sigh as he felt him slowly drifting. He held on just long enough to hear the verse before he knocked out. Logan couldn't remember the last night he'd slept so quickly, or so peacefully. His arms loosened around Sam, his snoring soft rather than loud. His facial features were soft, and soothed, unlike his regular sleep face, which was soothed with worry and stress. Logan wasn't so sure he could or would ever want to wake up. He felt like he was in heaven 'Ever since you met her, you've been dancing on clouds Logan" his mind said as he slept. Logan didn't care. If dancing on clouds was what he had to do to keep Sam, then dance he would. There's was nothing that was going to change the way Logan felt about her, much less anything that would ever take her from him again. The last time someone had taken Sam from him, he gone mad with worry, guilt and fear. Three things Logan had never felt before Sam. Logan had never been scared of anything, not even death. He'd put his life at risk many times before, never once did he show a hint of fear. But losing Sam? That was know one of Logan's greatest fears. He wasn't sure if he could handle loosing her again, she was his and he was to protect her. Nothing and no one would ever hurt Sam. Logan would throw his life away just to keep the woman he loved with his life from harms way.

Ana had been a little distracted and almost didn't notice Aaron was awake until she heard the sheets rustling. Looking up, she nearly jumped out of her chair and attacked him. She noted the look on his face. It took everything she had not to throw her arms around him and let him hold her. She shook the thought, now wasn't the time for Aaron to be caring for her, it was her time to make sure he was okay. When Aaron started to speak, Ana bit her tongue so she would start to cry again. "Shhhh.... Aaron it's okay... You were only doing what you had to" she said as she rested her hand over his and gave him a light squeeze. "You gave a quite a fright last night" she said with a humourless laugh finishing with "Your heart gave out for a moment", letting out a soft sigh. She gave him her best smile "I'm just glad you're okay. That's all that matters right now, and getting you back to full health" she said, a hint of a grin on her face. Ana rose from her seat on the chair and pressed her lips to his softly, she leaned her head down to look him in the eyes "I'm gonna call a nurse" she said as she ran a hand through his hair in an attempt to fix it. Ana turned and headed out of the room.
Closing the door softly, she walked over to the desk that had several nurses rushing around it. She got the attention of one and explained how Aaron had woken up, she nodded as the nurse spoke, she thanked her before walking into the small guest area. The nurse said Ana could find a coffee machine inside. Looking around, she stopped the ancient machine and with a sigh, proceeded to make some coffee. It was poor and tasted burnt, but coffee was coffee, burnt or not. Walking back into Aaron's room, she watched as the doctor finished up, giving her a smile as she walked in. She took her seat and kept her distance so she wasn't in the way. Once the doctor finished, a nursed wheeled in a cart, when she noticed Ana she gave a her a smile. Ana watched as the nurse left, she turned to Aaron and moved over to the bed. Ana softly sat on it, wheeling the tray closer so she could reach Aaron's food easier. "You think you'll be able to eat?" she asked as she grabbed some of the salad on the fork and brought it close to his lips. Ana didn't mind caring for Aaron, she'd do anything for him. She'd fed her grandma many times when she was young, she knew that often times people would protest, no one wanted to feel like they were a burden. Ana wasn't sure if Aaron would want her to do this for him, he was a full grown man and could do it himself and yada yada. But considering how badly Aaron got his a** kicked, she was going to damn well try "People are probably curious as to what the other guy looks like" she joked, instantly regretting it as she looked away, failing at her attempt to lighten the mood, and brighten his mood.
Logan was peacefully asleep, outstretched underneath Sam. He wasn't dreaming, for once he was just sleeping, resting as peacefully as ever. It wasn't until Sam started to nudge him, that Logan started to stir "A little longer, please" he pleaded, ready to go back under until he heard someone in the house'. Logan shoot up, alert and at attention. He swung off the hammock and made Sam stay out "Stay here, if you hear or see someone coming, run to the boat and get the hell away. Do you understand? I'll be okay, just go if you get the wrong feeling okay. Please" he said before pressing his lips against her "Please okay Sam" he pleaded softly against her lips before rushing towards the house. Logan walked inside and kept from making any noise. Listening, he crouched down and waited. He could hear the person in the kitchen, rummaging around. He waited and listened as the person made their way down the hall. Logan waited until he saw feet and lunged full force against the person. He tackled them to the ground, hearing a wince and grunt of pain when they smacked against the floor. Logan was about to pin the person when he was thrown and he hit the ground hard. Logan didn't make a single sound as he felt the pain running up his arms. Logan struggled and growled as the two of them kicked and fought. Eventually Logan had the person on the ground pinned, blood spilling from his lip. Logan was about to question them when he heard another set of foot steps.
Logan cursed and grabbed the persons head before smashing it to the ground, knocking the person out cold before tying them up and rushing back to Sam. Logan rounded the corner so fast he nearly smacked into the door. Heading out he looked around "SAM!" he called out as he looked around frantically. Logan was about to keep going when he heard the sound of a gun and felt something hit his shoulder. Groaning a little, Logan when down and felt blood tickle out of the whole in his shoulder. Getting to his feet, Logan dove for the trees as another bullet whipped past. Logan looked at the wound and growled in pain. This was great. Getting up he ran for the boat, he saw Sam and ran over to her. "Sam get on the boat now!" he said as he grabbed her hand and pushed her along. Logan helped her onto the boat before hearing more gunfire. He jumped into the boat, but felt another bullet graze his calf. Logan let out a growl of frustration as he turned to Sam, rolling onto his back "Get us out of here" he called to Sam as he tried to catch his breath. Logan had no idea who those people where, he was just happy that he and Sam were okay for now, the last thing he wanted was for harm to come to Sam again, he wouldn't forgive himself if it happened again. In fact he would never live it down, as he had never lived everything bad that happened thus far to Sam, down.

Aaron tried to adjust himself to where he sat up as Ana spoke, slowly arching himself into seating position. When Ana let out a dry laugh, Aaron figured that she meant of the fight and let out a slight chuckle himself until he cut off due to the pain that coursed through him again. "Hehe.. Ah.." winced Aaron, finally laying against the pillow while he sat there. As soon as he seated himself, he heard the last comment. He died. Briefly though, but Aaron died last night. Aaron let his shoulders slump as he let that sink in. He had to admit, he did seem to have.. disappeared for a moment while passed out. Perhaps that was the light in the blinding dark. Aaron swallowed hard as he could feel Ana's pain. He could tell that it must've been a fright, hearing the heart monitor say that he was dead. Aaron was about to apologize until Ana pressed her lips against his and distracted every thought that was in his head. He could remember the last time he saw her, when she was practically being distant with him much like how he was with her. Aaron breathed her scent in before she left, a smile on his face.
Aaron awkwardly answered the questions the nurse had for him as she checked his blood, his heart, and basically everything. She was only asking him questions such as if he was allergic to anything that they should know about and etc. When she was gone and Aaron was left with Ana, Aaron felt like he should pour out everything. But first, Ana gave him a bite of the salad that the nurses wheeled in the room for him. He needed food, and his stomach agreed. He crunched on the lettuce that was in his mouth, also hearing Ana's failed joke. Okay. Now he needed to tell her. After swallowed the contents of the food, Aaron let out a deep sigh. "I think it's time for the truth.." admitted Aaron, looking at Ana. "First off: I don't have an educational background. I gone to elementary school for about a few years until my mom died, and then my dad took a falling. I know more than a normal teenager should when I was sixteen considering that I snuck into college classes. But, I wasn't registered in any high school or middle or any schools. My dad believed in his line of work: drugs, more that he believed in his son, I guess." That was a start.
Sam was utterly surprised at how Logan jumped up. But as he demanded for her to run for the boat, her head immediately started to shake no in protest. She wasn't going to leave him. "No. Logan--" Sam was interrupted by Logan pressing his lips against Sam's, capturing her attention in an attempt to draw her away. Sam wanted to reach out and grab Logan's shirt, crinkle the article of clothing in her hands in an attempt to keep him by her, but he was gone and rushing to the house when Sam reached out of her hands. "Logan!" she shouted, standing up from the hammock. However, it was too late for Logan was already in the house and Sam was by herself. She was positive that she had the wrong feeling and that was of Logan getting hurt. Sam was sighted from a man, and he immediately raised his gun to shoot Sam, but right when the fire of bullets set off, Sam was taking off and running. The man followed her, colliding himself into her and tackling her to the ground. "No!" she shouted, not allowing the man to pin her hands down. He was going to have an attempt to tie her up. But then Sam raised a knee up and slammed it against his crotch.
Now, the stranger in pain and rolled off of her, Sam struggled up back to her feet to escape. By the time Sam nearly reached the boat Logan had mentioned before, she heard what Logan had said. He grabbed her wrist and they both dashed together in quick motion for the boat. When being dragged to the boat, Sam noticed Logan's shoulder. She wanted to scream and ask what the hell happened but that wasn't the problem now. Instead, she obeyed every order that Logan had screamed such as getting in the boat and getting them out of there. Seeing a shotgun in the boat, Sam growled and grabbed the weapon, lifting it up. She saw the men rushing for the end of the island as she and Logan were taking off, but she raise the end of the barrel and aimed it at the people. "Back off NOW!" she roared, anger inside of her. She could see the bullet wounds on Logan, and she knew it was from these assholes. So right now, she was pissed. Her finger stroked the trigger, threatening to ease pressure and let the silver pierce each of these men. But she didn't because they were too far now. They couldn't get their aim on Logan and Sam, as the same for the couple. Once they were far enough, Sam dropped the gun in the boat and sat by Logan. "Ohmygod, Logan, you're hurt!" said Sam, noting the obvious. She didn't know what to do. She pressed her hands down on Logan's wounds in an attempt to hold in the blood.O O C Aaron's outfit | Samantha's outfit | Aaron's car |

Unable to help the smile that brightened her face, Ana watched as Aaron gratefully ate the salad. She turned and continued to feed him until he started to speak. Ana heard him say it was time for the truth. Turning slowly, Ana looked into his eyes. She knew Aaron always had a rough time letting her in, and she didn't blame him. It took her long to let anyone in. Searching his eyes for any hint of anything that would worry her, she gave him a nod and sat quietly as he started to explain. She winced inwardly when he said that his father's obsession with his "job" came before Aaron, his only son. Ana knew what it was like to have a father who never cared about their child. It was just wrong, she could feel bile rising into her mouth before she swallowed it down, pushing away the memories that threatened her mind. Taking Aaron's hand in both of hers, she smiled at him. Ana didn't say anything, she was afraid that if she spoke Aaron would stop talking and shut her out all over again. She remained silent, but held his hands to urge him forward "I'm here for you" she said softly and soothingly. The only words she dared speak until she knew he was done explaining.
Logan grunted and groaned when the boat started to move. He let his head roll back to rest against the floor of the boat. What happened after was something Logan would never have imagined possible. Sam was standing a few feet away with his shoot gun in hand as she growled at the men still on the beach. He watched wide eyed as she continued to stare the men down. Once they were far enough from the beach and Sam dropped down to help, he winced and let out a loud laugh that boomed out of his throat. "I would have never thought you would have done something like that" he joked through his laugh "I have to say, that was something" he said leaning up to capture her lips in his with a heated kiss "That was quite the turn on Sam" he said lustfully. He rolled at the fact that his shoulder and calf had blood pouring out. Sitting up, he leaned back against the boat "Med kit to the left of the front seat by the right of the boat" he said as he waited for Sam to go and grab the med kit before returning.
Logan leaned forward with a groan before looking at Sam with a smile "This is nothing" he said as he pried open the case and started to get himself cleaned up. "See the bullet went right through, so don't worry about it" he said looking from the wound to her "But" he started "I kiss could go a long way to help with the pain" he said as he turned back to his shoulder and finished wrapping it up. Logan turned his leg and looked at his calf. Seeing the scrape, he started to work on that. Once he was all patched up, he turned to Sam and cleared his throat "Can you hit the auto pilot on the dash? That way I don't have to worry about us going of course" he said watching her turn once more and vanishing. Logan took the time to make a few calls until Sam came back. He smiled at her "You okay? Any wounds?" he asked as he instinctively looked her over a few times. Logan and Ana had often done this. Although Ana would rend to Logan's wounds and he'd leave for her to tend to her own alone. He'd never thought twice about it, but now, he was feeling a little sad, due to the fact that patching oneself up isn't fun nor easy.
