"Understood." Dylon replied, waiting for Jerry to be safe before swimming down. The descent took longer than he would have liked, his wrist bothering him too much to use. He swam the ten feet down until he found it. The hole, another passage leading to another body of water. It could be their ticket out. However, Jerry didn't seem to be the best swimmer. With a gasp, Dylon broke the surface of the water next to Jerry. "There's an escape into a larger body of water down there. Wether it's a cavern like this or something leading outside, I don't know."

Jerry glanced around. One watery grave or another, it looked like. Well, continuing to move forward was SOMETHING, right? "Alright... alright, at least I'm good at sinking, ahahaha." He drew in several deep breaths. At least the cold water helped numb his ankle- he hoped Dylon was in the same boat. "I'll... I'll follow, alright? We've got this!!" He waited for the trainee to lead the way before taking as large a breath as he could manage and following feebly after him.

Wash emerged from the dark rectory, ladder in hand (assuming we do not enter horrifying come-to-life-statues-hardmode).
"Yeah, sorry. Let's go." He handed back the flashlight.

Dylon smiled reassuringly and nodded. "Right! Let's do this!" He said in a tone he hoped would pump up the glasses wearing hunter. You know, sporty attitude and all. Actually he seemed a little too happy to be in the water swimming. He did miss the whole Pool in the Cafeteria fiasco after all. He took in a breath and dove under, swimming further down until he found the large hole. He swam through to the other side, Jerry right behind him.

Oh yea, orders, Matt had forgotten that Sasha had told them to stay. Well actually she had told them to stay near Jerry and Dylon with at this moment he wasn't sure if they were actually still down in the pit, in the passage somewhere, or gone.
Or eaten.
There was a moment of hope that Jerry and Dylon were just drunk off of the stores in the cellar and that Matt was just too paranoid for his own good as he continued to stare into the darkness of the passageway. There was a feeling of uneasiness that continued to gnaw in the bottom pit of his stomach as he reached his hands into his pocket hoping he had brought a flashlight in his first aid kit. Looking at Evan, he shrugged, unsure of what the other hunter was thinking or if they should even attempt to fit down into the passage way to check up on the other two members.
"I would have have to squeeze in tightly but we could make it but.... I don't know if going in blindly is the best solution I don't think I have a flashlight and there is no reason to run to the risk of pulling out our weapons. I don't know how long it will take Wash and Sasha to get back, or even if by then those guys will make it." He replied with a look of disapproval on his face, there was no way he could use his weapon like a flashlight in the passage it was far to large. As well Sasha had told them to avoid looking like hunters or summoning.
Looking around the kitchen Matt noticed the tin of beans and picked up one tossing it in the palm of his hand.
"We could at least try this?" He questioned the other hunter as he threw the tin of beans into the passageway hoping to hear it collide into something.

They could hear the can bounce and roll, go silent, and then finally hit the cellar floor after a long drop. No other sound came.
Below, the water led Dylon and Jerry to a much larger cave, this one with a decent sized path they could walk along that. Well above them, there was a tiny hole, allowing a small shaft of light to peek through.

Somehow, Jerry's head broke water after what felt like forever and a half under the chilly liquid. He gasped for air before bobbing down again, weighed down by his soaking wet coat tied around his waist and shoes, but like heck he was going to lose them. He clawed at the air, trying to remember what Rep had taught him about treading water, but with the sprained ankle, it made an already difficult task even trickier. "Dy-" He sputtered before going under again, "Dylon! You... you there??"

It didn't take Sasha and Wash long to get back to the cottage. She immediately flashed Matt and Evan a relieved smile. "We got the ladder. Everything okay?"

Dylon broke the surface, immediatly looking for Jerry soon after. He swam over to the sputtering hunter and hooked an arm under his shoulder. "I'm here! I'll get you to shore... or.. whatever is shore here."
He swam to the water's edge. With the weight of Jerry and his own soaking clothing it was slow goings, even if he was a good swimmer. Finally he found shallow water and the edge of the new pathway, climbing out but keeping Jerry close. He had a bad ankle, after all. He'd need help walking.
"Okay.. sir. We don't have much choice, so let's follow the yellow brick road?"

Jerry took a few minutes to catch his breath, flopping on the solid ground and fought the urge to kiss it. "Hmm?" He panted, letting his eyes readjust to the darkness, and spotted the distant light at the end of the path, "That... that sounds like a good plan to me. I don't know what else we could do. We have to find our way back before they think we're dead."
That was right! Their cellphones! He hauled his wet jacket up, ringing it out a bit before fishing through his pockets to see what had survived the swim. His phone was soaked. Were they even waterproof? Hell. He frowned at the state of the phone. If the water hadn't done it, the massive crack across the screen from the fall confirmed it. They were alone.
"Alright. Alright let's just... take our time."

Dylon leaned down in a crouch in front of Jerry, watching as he checked the phone. Dylon checked his own, and saw it was in about the same bad shape his was.
"Well.. if you need to rest, then rest. But let's not hover here too long. There's no way Sasha and the others will find us in a place like this."

"I'll be fine. I've lived through far worse!" Jerry forced a smile, using Dylon's shoulder to haul himself up to his good foot. "Alright. Let's... get the heck out of here. I'll feel better once we're back in the sunlight."

Dylon smiled warmly and nodded, allowing Jerry to use his shoulder all he needed to. "You got that right. I need some fresh air." The trainee started down the pathway, wondering what the pair would run into next.
"Who knew this was all under a cottage?"

"I'm sure this won't be the only surprise we find," Jerry laughed weakly, although there was little humor in his voice. He concentrated on following the path.
